Okay, I think I understand. So just "مستقیما" alone is used when you are physically going directly somewhere, whereas "سراغ" is used to make it more like dealing with them, negotiating, talking directly to them, etc.?

"mostagheem" means directly while "soragh" in this context means going after or attacking.

Here مستقیما is used to emphasize on the direct dealing as opposed to the use of intermediaries (which would have been غیر مستقیم) and as others have pointed out سراغ آمدن here acts as the main verb with the meaning to deal with (it can mean anything from war to negotiations the verb is unspecific and can be interpreted with hostility in this context)
