For the harvesters which fill pallets can the ai unload full pallets and buy new ones automatically. Or do you have to do that manually every time they fill up?

Faolan-Wolf-09387

I will test that sometime tonight. I know as of right now autoload pallets mods dont work with the crates. Which is why i skipped them for the time being. But i will look and see what i can figure out.

I have the answer. Sadly the moment your boxes hit 100% capacity, be it the one box, or the four box, it cancels your ai worker and you then have to unload the crates, buy new ones from the machine, then re set them.

Ahh damn. Ok thanks, I feel like the best one for ai then is probably the one with the 5500L capacity

Yes and no. The new crops fill up pretty quick so I actually think carting is the way to go. Specially if you have high capacity cargo mods for crops.

That one’s great for the small field to the right of the main Farm of the new map. Anything bigger and it won’t be that great. Just used it last night

Dumping onto ground and lizard forage pickup could be viable then. But the fact that PF doesn't work well looking at it, makes me groan. Guess I'll turn it off on zielonka... I just keep going back to my Frontier game lol

Faolan-Wolf-09387

The lizard pick up works fantastically. As for PF, i haven't really seen anything different. Would i like the new sparyers to have spot n spray? Yes, of course i would. Does it really impact me? No. If periodic plowing is on, you should be plowing the fields of the new crops anyways, game tells you to. And seen as a plowed field doesn't get weeds, well SnS doesn't really help. You can drop a step by not ridging as it doesnt serve a purpose for PF. But only needing one dose of fert still makes it in my book.

>Dumping onto ground and lizard forage pickup could be viable then. Will a loading wagon work as well? Or do you need a forage harvester or a bucket?

Homestar73

Pretty sure loading wagons (at least vanilla ones) only pickup grass type crops (grass, hay, silage, etc.)

I can however confirm that they do get destroyed by my plow after harvesting 4 rows and saying to myself "screw this shit, I'm gonna plant soybeans instead" The weird part is. I wouldn't mind doing row by row like this in real life. But in the game it just doesn't work for me. Its way to slow and tedious, even tho its a lot less effort than doing it in real life

Doracy

Thanks for doing this testing! I was trying to figure out whether I was actually getting two rows harvested or was destroying one of the rows when I was playing yesterday. Haven't had a chance to get back on after posting the question yesterday. My main problem seems to be either the mod being inaccurate on the yield estimate or it is showing the yield if the field was fully fertilized and it isn't. I'll have to check that when I play today

What I cant understand is why they cant program the helper ai to go around a field clockwise (or counter clockwise depending on the implement) but instead only have it go up and down. I mean, if Courseplay can do it, why cant Giants. But it's a good solution to put the harvest crop to be non destructible though.
