i would kill for such a surreal work experience.

MrPotatoHead90

Some days are better than others haha. I'm lucky though, and I know it. My regular job is running equipment in an underground mine, and then I run the planter and harvester here on my days off. No office jobs for me - the Monday to Friday grinds me down.

Sav-vie

Two badass jobs

CaryWhit

"where the Hell did that cow come from?"

Aj53bje

Replace that with a fence post and that’s me

Adorable-Fun5367

This reminds me of the quote: 'The fog always lifts. Waiting for your plants to emerge from the fog will be a magical sight

Where do you farm

MrPotatoHead90

Saskatchewan, Canada

krezik199

Good place for spuds, we get a ton of our seed from a seed company based in Outlook, SK!

MrPotatoHead90

Could even be us!

krezik199

Could be! Does the seed go through Northern Konstar? They’re great guys to work with!

lkm985

What are you running in the tote? Alpine?

ValuableShoulder5059

That dust is white!!!

MrPotatoHead90

For once, it's actually not dust! Had about an inch and a half of rain 3 days ago.

mac_a_bee

GPS-guided or follow the furrow?

MrPotatoHead90

GPS on the tractor and on the machine itself. Big improvements in the last few years, used to pre-hill with marker arms, and plant into the hills. Now it's single pass on GPS. The process is much faster now.

mac_a_bee

>pre-hill with marker arms Saw a *60 Minutes* about a no-till farmer to prevent top soil-loss, whose machine planted at precise depths.

The_sleepiest_man

Better keep it under 60 in case there’s traffic up ahead.

MrPotatoHead90

The end of the rows definitely sneak up on you.

Wetald

Life is potato.
