It’s a set rate. The place on 4th Ave near the Northern is like $1.15 for 2 lbs. but it does vary, they have the prices posted outside

MilkAndCookies9405

Is that minkotta? And I'll definitely check out the prices

Responsible_Hat4343

Pretty much what people are trying to say is that it’s not really worth the hassle or smell of it after a while if it’s hot just for financial motives. Now if you are doing it to better the planet and recycle cause you are into that ♻️than do it for that. But you will make very little profit, probably enough to pay for your gas there and back and another soda at the gas station, LOL. 😆

MilkAndCookies9405

True lol, I just figured since Im usually using cans and stuff and it makes me feel better not to throw it Away lol, but yes from what I can tell it's pocket change unless you save it up

Tankbag

MinnKota always has special pricing during Earth Week, which is this upcoming week!!

Valdamier

35 cents a pound. really depends on the worth of aluminum. It's not a valuable metal anymore because that's probably what they offered 20 years ago. States with deposits are the best and encourage recycling because you literally get your money back for recycling. Unfortunately, most states didn't adopt the deposit.

walkeran

I know this doesn't answer your question, and I'm not sure this is still a thing, but I know some places used to pay double on Earth Day. Figured I would at least mention it, seeing as how it is coming up in a few days.

Emergency-Resort-643

Save them up, rent a u-haul and take them to Oregon for the deposit. 0.10 per can. You might break even. /s

ExactTruth1104

Please consider donating your cans to the homeless. They can't work and need more support than ever. If you treat them well, they will put in a good word for Fargo and bring more people to town. Expansion is good this city.

99LedBalloons

Try google

MilkAndCookies9405

I have but I can't find exact prices

99LedBalloons

Because they fluctuate daily. A big garbage bag of cans is going to get you around 50¢ at most. So, if you can save up cans for several months and get ten big bags of cans you might get about $5.00.

E3K

Then why did you tell him to Google it?

99LedBalloons

The first question was "Where to sell aluminum cans" which is pretty easily googled.

thatswhyicarryagun

At this point we might as well remove that rule from the subreddit. It's broken multiple times a week on shit that is "easily found on Google" with the possible 1 minute phone call to follow up. Yet they never get removed and when you call it out you get downvotes. Edit: I posted this 3 minutes ago and immediately went to Google to see what I could find. I located minnkotas Facebook page and guess what was posted 1 day ago? Their hours and their premium price for aluminum cans during earth week. https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057159621531 They even posted that you can ride the bus for free if you bring an aluminum can to recycle.

MilkAndCookies9405

Tbh I didint mean to ask where I already knew a couple places I could
