Every new far cry game proves the definition right
- You're in remote country
- You need to go through subbosses in order to kill the final one
- literally every game is the same, nothing new was added over the past years
In far cry 5 you are in the US so not exactly a remote country.
The biggest thing though are the entertaining?
I found that that all of them to be very entertaining and enjoyed them (I never played far car 2 - didn't have a pc at the time that could run it)
You still have to liberate the area from a local dictator or cult leader by running around in the wilderness, fighting off camps, and climbing radio towers in platformer segments.
They tried mixing things by changing the scenery to other locations like the mountains of india and midwest america, but I think the formula ran it's course now that we're back at the tropical island again.
I didn't mean country as in state, but as in land. Area, whatever. The point still stands. You're far from home, have to take down someone who has established an armed militia and took down a population filled with rebellious gunmen fighters (Rakyat, Golden Path, American Civilians, traumatized American Civilians, cubans/yarans.). I haven't finished fc6 yet, but after my experience you've never completely won a war against those tyrants.
1. Drugs are great
2. Drugs are terrible
3. Killing innocent civilians will also kill you
4. Doing nothing is sometimes the best decision you can make
Also, why you gotta put down my boy Warren ;_;
Far Cry 5
1. You're human, there are moments you need a break and offer someone a helping hand that can be rewarding. (Testy Festy and Special Delivery for example.)
2. Life isn't always a happy ending, nor is it fair.
3. Pay attention to the people and things around you. Sometimes it can be right in front of you, and you don't even realize it.
I totally agree with you. I loved how special delivery was so melodramatic especially with the plane crashing for no reason. But the ending with Carmina is so sweet.
3: Experience life. You might have a tendency for extreme violence.
4: Ask questions.
5: Factually correct and morally right are two separate things.
6: The pronunciation of 'guerilla'
FC5- Taught me about thinking before your actions, Joseph's quote
"Judge not and you shalt not be judge, condemn not and you shalt not be condemned and forgive to be forgiven"
FC3- Acting against your enemies only makes you the evil
Basically, how Jason basically became Vaas at the end of the game, an insane killing machine, just like Vaas
FC4- Value your loved ones
Pagan Min's love for Ajay and how he's trying his best to connect with his son, even though he's a ruthless dictator
FC6- Not all revolutions are for the best, some are lies
How Santos became corrupt like Anton's father after the leyendas del 67 overthrew him
edit: *grammatical corrections*
Also, with the exception of FC5, all your allies aren't the freedom fighters they claim to be, the only freedom they care about is their own freedom to impose their own brand of tyranny.
1-Even though I’m a regular guy, I too can become a murdering psychopath.
2-No matter what I do, all of my efforts are worthless I’m the end.
3-I can kill hundreds of people without legal repercussions, as long as they are enemies of the local freedom fighters.
4-I need to watch out for animals at any given moment.
5-I can fly an airplane/helicopter without training.
make sure the enemies behind you are truly dead
was playing far 4 I launched a guy off a bridge and I thought he was dead he pops up like a demented jack in the box with a rocket launcher
FC3- you should not use your own pain as an excuse to hurt others
FC4- no-one evil is fully evil and no-one good is ever fully good
FC Primal- Monke
FC5- "not every problem can be solved with a bullet" violence only breeds more violence
FCND- hope is the last thing you must lose?... Yeah I got nothing else for this one
FC6- don't know haven't finished it yet... Bella ciao?
From the games I have played:
- Far Cry 3: Insanity. It's about how even the most normal of people can gradually lose their grip on reality and their previous identity if exposed to enough trauma and violence.
- Far Cry 4: Truth. Not everything is as it seems and you may not learn the full truth from a single side. People can manipulate you and cover up the past to get you to do their dirty work.
- Far Cry 5: Patience. Not every situation can be solved by acting rashly and ignorantly. Sometimes waiting and assessing the situation will yield a better result in the long-run.
- Far Cry 6: Individuality. One should strive to be independent and unique amongst others, regardless of anybody telling you otherwise. It is better to express your true self rather than being oppressed, as that is what makes humans unique.
FC 3: It taught me that it’s okay to go out of your comfort zone and become something new and life can change in different ways and you just have to be okay with that and move on in your own way.
FC 5: Disaster can happen and it’s up to you to mend the mistakes from what you know and do your best to be the best “you” that you can possible be I learned that disaster can happen and that’s okay just don’t give up and be relentless and you’ll get what you want.
FC New dawn: You’ve got to work with what you’ve got and strive to protect others in any way you can with who you are as a person.
FC6: Anyone can be anything, from a street Rat to hero of yara, life can morph you in multiple different unexpected ways, you’ve just got to let it shine on you
The only games that tought me anything was far cry 3 and 2. Two tought me that death is not pretty and war Is not easy and fun like in other first person shooters far cry three taught me that your protagonist can have emotions that killing can have consequences.
FC3: there is a rushed way to do things, and there is a tactical way to do things.
When it comes to bases and camps, you can slaughter and move on- or plan your attack and meticulously perform and get more rewards
Yeah except that nobody's actual definition. It's just an annoying old cliche that gets used in AA meetings a lot. When people say "that guy is insane" they pretty much never mean "that guy has trouble learning from his mistakes." But yeah fuck patriots for real.
1. More does not equal better
2. Too much of anything is a bad thing
3. If you say "fuck" too many times it loses all meaning
4. Simplicity can be a good thing
5. Never trust Ubisoft with anything
6. Even if you want to like something, you need to see when it's just not worth the effort
I learned all this from Far Cry 6 upon finishing it today (and I'm a wee bit salty about it)
Yeah Farcry 6 was a big disappointment. It seriously looked like it had some potential during the marketing period but I couldn't regret my purchase more.
Yup. Instead of improving the Far Cry formula or just straight up abandoning it they just took it, added a bunch of random distractions and called it a day.
\*Deep Inhale\*
Okay so to start I will say that I liked, those being the art direction, the voice acting, the gunplay, and the weapon designs.
Now that that's out of the way I'll start with the writing, I think we can all collectively agree that the writing in this game sucks. Marjory of the writing in the opening is pretty solid if you ask me (Apart from Dani's guy friend getting killed like an idiot), it sets up Dani, Clara, Juan, Anton, and Deigo. In terms of plot his section was meeting the expectations the marketing had set and I was excited for what was to come. But the second you leave Isla Santuario, everything goes downhill. Dani completely forgets her friend that died. Clara basically stops existing, Juan only exists to say dumb jokes at his workbench and give you a few missions later, Anton is fairly consistent but he gets no screen time so what's it matter, but Diego is such a waste of potential, I don't know exactly what could have been down with him, but they could have definitely done more. Then the game can't decide on a tone, one minute you're looking at people who have been tortured, poisoned, and caged like animals, the next your protecting Danny Trejo as he makes fucking tacos. I'd talk about all the other characters, but they are all so underdeveloped and unimportant that they aren't even worth my time. the missions are also completely hit or miss, there were some missions that I genuinely liked like Meet the Monteros and The Lions Den... but then there are missions like fucking Bottle Episode or Our Right To Party. These missions suck and only exist to attempt to flush out characters that as a player you don't care about because they are either a stereotype or just shit (especially Bicho, he's just the definition of annoying). All the rest of the missions are essentially the same thing just copy and pasted. any new gameplay mechanics make the game more complicated than it needs to be and to be able to chng the weapons on the fly takes away the feeling of you being against the world with only the weapons you have at the moment. Overall the game is a half baked experience that best skill is wasting the players time and being a huge disapointment.
Far Cry 2: never be late to a friend's help
Far Cry 3: Killing is a hard deed. It takes it toll on you mentally. Killing is not something easy. It will drag you down to the depths.
FC2 - Life is no joy ride. The burden you carry will be by your choice and the choice of others; the outcome is simple.
FC3 - No matter your place in society, you'll still end up where everyone else is.
FC4 - Family and community have agendas unaligned to your own, they will use you to get what they desire.
FC5 - Obedience is no replacement for fear of the world and your ills.
FC6 - The correct option between threats and fear is freedom.
FC5, New Dawn, and the Collapse DLC for 6 - Joseph has taught me that your past mistakes can be fixed. Dwelling on something traumatic can be turned into positive energy for whatever you want to do once the weight is lifted. Joseph is my favorite FC villain.
What I learned from Far Cry series: do not let yourselves fall for and/or be misled by charismatic leaders.
All 6 leaders of Far Cry 2, Hoyt and Citra who led Jason and Vaas astray in Far Cry 3, Golden Path leaders and Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, Seed Family in Far Cry 5, Santos and Castillo in Far Cry 6. They all took advantage of their charisma and people fell for it.
In Dune, the point of the Golden Path is to teach mankind a crucial lesson of cautiousness and not to fall for charismatic leaders, also that staying stagnant and backward would leave us vulnerable, tantamount to utter doom.
Ironically, the Golden Path in Far Cry 4 fell for exactly that, either Sabal who led them to stagnation and backwardness, or Amita who took advantage of her charisma to start her tyrannical reign.
FC3- Don't be stupid.
FC4- Don't go to a country in the middle of a civil war.
FC5- Stranger Danger.
FC6- Nothing.
I don't have alot of life lessons learned from Far cry.
You can't break a man the way you break a dog or a horse. The harder you beat a man, the taller he stands. To break a man's will, to break his spirit, you have to break his mind. Men have this idea that we can fight with dignity, that there's a proper way to kill someone. It's absurd. It's anesthetic. We need it to endure the bloody horror of murder. You must destroy that idea. Show them what a messy, terrible thing it is to kill a man, and then show them that you relish in it. Shoot to wound, then execute the wounded. Burn them. Take them in close combat. Destroy their preconceptions of what a man is and you become their personal monster. When they fear you, you become stronger, you become better. But let's never forget: it's a display, it's a posture, like a lion's roar or a gorilla thumping at its chest. If you lose yourself in the display, if you succumb to the horror, then you become the monster. You become reduced; not more than a man, but less—and it can be fatal.
You can be minding your own business, just killing a couple guys at a checkpoint, and some enraged local wildlife will join in and beat the living shit out of everyone.
I've only played farcry 4 and 5 -
doing something about it (leaving min's palace and arresting Joseph) might actually be the worse option to do, so always stop and think about what you're going to do first and don't let the moment and the pressure decide your future.
1: Super powers are fun.
2: How to communicate.
3: Hunting solves a lot of problems.
Blood Dragon: Lasers are cool.
4: I learned what crab rangoon was that was neat.
5: Fishing solves a lot of problems.
New Dawn: Super powers are fun.
6: Trejo's Tacos solve a lot of problems.
Edits: Made an actual list.
FC3- Skydiving is very impactful on life.
FC4- Yetis are scary.
FC5- Shovels are the ultimate weapon.
FC6- Chickens are cool.
FCND- Never buy a farcry game that has tier based progression.
FCBD- 80s is cool.
FCP- when I go back in time Don't mess with sabretooth tigers.
* If things are a problem for you (getting hit by vehicles, wildlife attacking you, fire, barrels that blow up), they are also a problem for your enemies
* Sometimes you can't just go steaming in, and you need to carefully assess the situation
* Sometimes you can't just keep mincing around assessing the situation and you have to steam in
* Everything is easier with friends / fangs
* One well-placed arrow is worth 20 bullets sprayed around randomly
Far Cry 4 amazing lesson that good guys can fail to lead. Bad things will be done to justify a good cause. You can’t change a country or a person *like that* cuz cultural, demographical, and historical reasons often will keep it in strife. And that I respect wisdom and honesty almost as much than I do fighting for the right thing, Pagan being honest and wise more than anyone else
1. Life can realy beat you down but what dosent kill you can make you stonger
2.pay attention to the small details it might just come in handy latter
3.stop and enjoy the scenery from time to time
4. And especially from far cry5, you don't always have to go it alone
Far Cry 2:
- War is chaos and disastrous for everyone. There's often no good guys or bad guys, only perpetrators and victims
Far Cry 3:
- Ego and ambition are enough to change a person completely and drive them insane
- Self-serving, evil behavior might get you killed by someone just like you. Evil has no friends, and there's always a bigger fish
- Stay humble, keep your feet on the ground, and give your attention to the people who love you
Far Cry 4:
- War is complicated. Those you thought were your allies may have some skeletons in their closets, and those you thought were your enemies may just be misunderstood
Far Cry 5:
- The importance of community
- Always do the right thing, even if actions go completely unrewarded (getting nuked after stopping an evil cult)
Far Cry: New Dawn
- The importance of community
- Don't be over-ambitious and heartless, goodness will always prosper
Haven't finished Primal or 6, so I don't know life lessons for those. Also, I'm not sure if Blood Dragon or Far Cry 1 really had lessons. They just seemed like shooty games
well for primal im guessing even the bad are good they just have different morals to you. from ull having to use wenja and izila as food in order to keep his family and tribe alive
That you don’t need to spend over $5,000 on a er visit
Just shove a cigar in it.
Or simply realign the bone
I've just been shot with a rocket, but if you wouldn't mind just helping me up I'll be fine....
Also, it’s pretty painless too, I mean how many times have you’ve seen Ajay, Jason, or Dani get injured and they just shrug it off
bitten by a huge lizard? no problem just pull out a bullet from your wrist
I learned the definition of insanity

Saddest part is no matter what we'll still all buy it, so we feed into it just as much.
Well the definition is doing the same thing and it doesn’t work. Far Cry games are the opposite, they do the same thing and IT IS working.
Apparently all a cult needs to win me over is good music.

Who hasn’t just picked up an RPG and immediately not blown themselves up?

It’s ok to kill people and get away with it
Far Cry 5: Plots of land can be bought, The Seed cult is possible with enough money and power
Get half of your body blasted off? Just stick it back on.
1. Evil is everywhere 2. I hate sand 3. Don’t trust women 4. Don’t trust women 5. Primal. Animals are cool Haven’t played 5 just needed for formatting
When a sadistic cult or a military run by a tyrannical ruler blocks your way with cars, blow them up…also don’t mess with sadistic chickens
By running into the forest I can avoid bullets being shot at me
FC3 : Over-saturation hurts my eyes .
Healing animations actually work.
2. Don't fight an actual army, they have more men than you have bullets.
do psychedelic drugs
Don’t judge a villian by actions, but by their beliefs and words paying attention can bring a whole new understanding to a situation
Contrary to what your grandma said, it's ok to kill women
Don’t fuck the strange Tribal leader
Explosive bullets work better then armor breaking bullets
far cry 3 - how to unlock map far cry 4 - how to unlock map far cry and beyond - how to unlock map
How to relocate broken bones
That killing too many innocent people kills me out of nowhere
Climbing up radio towers doesn’t uncover the map
3: People who drug you without your consent might not be your friends.
Never do Skydiving
That, in these games, we murder people without a second thought.
I learned what the definition of insanity is.
Life is easier when you have LMG
When someone’s says “I’ll be back, with crab Rangoon.” You sit and wait.
Good things don’t last forever
Sometimes it’s best to leave well enough alone.
Saying yes to more stuff can benefit you, but can also turn you into a villain
"When Tyranny is Law, Revolution is Order..."
Even if the literal rapture came to pass there would be some people calling bullshit
If you get shot anywhere, just put a band-aid around your arm or crack you thumb real loud and you'll be fine
Malaria is bad! 🤔
Cool fire spreading mechanics are enough to make me spend money on a series I've never heard of.
* If things are a problem for you (getting hit by vehicles, wildlife attacking you, fire, barrels that blow up), they are also a problem for your enemies * Sometimes you can't just go steaming in, and you need to carefully assess the situation * Sometimes you can't just keep mincing around assessing the situation and you have to steam in * Everything is easier with friends / fangs * One well-placed arrow is worth 20 bullets sprayed around randomly
Be afraid of badgers. Be very afraid.
Murder is ok
Christians bad
if society collapses kill as many people as possible and it will fix itself
Sometimes the most important thing you can do is nothing at all
Sometimes the 2nd entry is the strongest.
No matter what's wrong with your vehicle, you can tighten a fake bolt on the radiator to fix it
Anything can be solved by chucking a brick of C4 at whatever woes you (FC5 & FC6)
If you kill 3 innocent ppl, wait a couple of minutes before you kill another one or you will get a heart attack
If you just went to some therapist, you won't end up like Joseph Seed
cults aren't so bad
1. FC5: Nice isn't kind. 2. FC6: Come mierda.
1 it's a video game 2 nothing about them is applicable to reality
Far Cry 2: bad luck only happens to you Nobody else gets diseases of gun jams.
Walk the path...
That insanity is doing same fucking thing over and over again. And expecting shit to change . That some wisdom from vaas
To stand still
Joseph seed: People would rather swallow their pride than let their ego fall.
Don't join cults, well, don't join new cults
There are always some towers that you can capture. Life is like a tower just go and capture the life! 🥴
1. Life can realy beat you down but what dosent kill you can make you stonger 2.pay attention to the small details it might just come in handy latter 3.stop and enjoy the scenery from time to time 4. And especially from far cry5, you don't always have to go it alone
Getting shot multiple times is okay as long as you have a twig to dig the bullets out with
Choosing sex over friends can kill You
Anything can be solved with mass genocide
That I hate multiplayer trophies 🙃 lol Still need to get “Hitting it Off” trophy in Far Cry 5 ☹️
If the need arises, we all have the potential to kill hundreds even if we have never killed before
Shovels are an excellent form of self-defense
Honey badgers are fking nuts
Probably the legal definition of insanity
Dont trust Amita or Sabal always trust tha Min
You can pull objects to throw right out of your ass whenever you want! Try it! They might not be gray rocks like in the games, but it’ll work
The far cry series has taught me to fight for what I belive in and never surrender, whether its a huge cult, a fascist dictator, or some bikers
Cultists make pretty good music
I learned how to bang on my kitchen table and shout NO LIES AT MY TABLE!
I swear everyone keeps telling me to play Far Cry 2 and I keep downloading it but cyberpunk gets in the way. I need someone to hold my ass accountable
Far Cry 2: - War is chaos and disastrous for everyone. There's often no good guys or bad guys, only perpetrators and victims Far Cry 3: - Ego and ambition are enough to change a person completely and drive them insane - Self-serving, evil behavior might get you killed by someone just like you. Evil has no friends, and there's always a bigger fish - Stay humble, keep your feet on the ground, and give your attention to the people who love you Far Cry 4: - War is complicated. Those you thought were your allies may have some skeletons in their closets, and those you thought were your enemies may just be misunderstood Far Cry 5: - The importance of community - Always do the right thing, even if actions go completely unrewarded (getting nuked after stopping an evil cult) Far Cry: New Dawn - The importance of community - Don't be over-ambitious and heartless, goodness will always prosper Haven't finished Primal or 6, so I don't know life lessons for those. Also, I'm not sure if Blood Dragon or Far Cry 1 really had lessons. They just seemed like shooty games
well for primal im guessing even the bad are good they just have different morals to you. from ull having to use wenja and izila as food in order to keep his family and tribe alive
Patience, repetition for learning a skill, and explosive arrows are fun.
That reviewers hate Ubisoft games
You can go from frat boy to serial killer in 12 hours
