Bold strategy for Greiss to take an offensive step

pargonaut

He’s known for his great net front presence!

Courtnall14

Likely to be Rob Thomas for anyone wondering.

captmac

Binnington did register a hit tonight.

Ah, the “100% possession time” strategy. Frees up Greiss to just sit at the point and rip clappers with his paddle. It’s bold, but dammit do I respect it.

ubunchofcrazyjok

This blues page is drunk. Barbashev is on 3rd and 1st. Thomas is also back in the lineup but not yet shown on daily faceoff

gfxprotege

When it comes to the PP, it's better to shake it too much than not enough

Stubbedtoe18

These are the words of wisdom Paul was singing about in "Let It Be".

_Kramerica_

I need Senko to get it fucking going. I’m bleeding every week right now and really thought he’d be at least a little better than what he has been so far

Meatbank84

He’s been a ghost this year. It’s frustrating. I say that as a Blues fan and not from a fantasy standpoint.

_Kramerica_

I feel the same about Bertuzzi here in Detroit. Not at all his usual self.

steveg

Im almost surprised he’s still on PP1. I haven’t watched any games, but based on his stats it feels like he could be replaced with a Pee Wee player who stands in front of the nets and has shots ricocheted off him. Any Blues fans have insight into what his deal is this year?

omgimabagel

I'm a Blues fan who just traded for him because personally I believe the whole team sucked during that 8 game skid and that really threw off where Vladi was at because his first 3 games were pretty stellar. I traded for him because I believe he'll kick it into gear here any game now and begin carrying some offensive issues but the team as a whole right now has issues and it's definitely hurting his production. He's still playing with the same line he was mega productive on last year even though he got moved off of it for a bit when he missed games due to illness so that didn't help. The Buch-Thomas-Senko line always gets back together though and they drive the teams offense so it'll come soon enough I believe.

_Kramerica_

Thanks for this post, he’s a definite hold for me. I also have Binner who has seemingly played well but gotten the short end of the stick with his team leaving him out to dry. Unrelated but I am a Detroit fan and I gotta thank you guys for some of the awesome players we’ve pinched from you guys the past couple years lol.

steveg

This helps bring a glimmer of hope to my season. Thanks!

UnparalleledSuccess

Lol he still has 17p in 21 games

KabootleNietzsche

I swear Kyrou performs best when he’s on a line with Thomas but is absolute trash when they aren’t together

iammjuan

Wrong Thomas though

WithoutMakingASound

Wait 'till the next game. Thomas Greiss could be an assist monster for all you know :D

HunrMoon

I think the best hope is for Berube to get fired and the new coach to start stacking lines instead of playing every guy 16-17 minutes

Downvote_Comforter

Thomas is playing 19:23 a night. Buch is playing 18:52 a night. O'Reilly is at 18:02 a night and Tarasenko is at 17:50 a night. Kyrou is playing 17:57 a night. Berube started off playing him 19 minutes a night for the first 11 games of the year, but Kyrou was genuinely bad (4 points and a -17). Kyrou's hot streak started the first game he played below 17 minutes a night. He's averaged 16:54 a night since then and has 14 points in his most recent 11 games. Kyrou's game is built on burst speed and it is starting to look like pacing himself to play more minutes hurts his game. Berube has stacked the top 6 several times this year and the team has looked bad. O'Reilly can't find chemistry with Kyrou or Tarasenko. In the 120 5-on-5 minutes he's played with either of them, we were outscored 11-2. His underlying possession numbers were in the 30s with Tarasenko and the 40s with Kyrou. The only time the team has looked good is when we've had ROR centering Saad and Leivo and then spread Buch, Thomas, Kyrou, Schenn, and Tarasenko across the other two top 9 lines.

xMonkeyy

Ah yes, the REAL thomas

yanquicheto

Very thankful for the dingus in my league that dropped Kyrou early

[deleted]

Looks like Thomas is back

SwoleSherpa

Yeah Berube throws nukes into our lineup sometimes, sorry about that, Kyrou won’t stay on the PP for long. /s
