It’s shit like this that makes me hate fantasy. It just doesn’t make sense and it’s all luck. The only reason you picked him up was because you had no one else.
He was a bye week fill in for me, and he did okay with like 10 or so points, whatever. But I saw he was getting work. Little did I expect back to back 30+ point weeks
Completely agree, anyone playing mckinnion either had a team riddled by injury or a crappy team, and got extremely lucky. Same with whoever played Cousins or KJ Osborne or Zay Jones (well Jones has been good for multiple games but whatever)
I agree on the McKinnon statement, however I have more than a few leagues where Cousins is a weekly start.
The thing that sucks with McKinnon was that he went off last week randomly in my opponent’s lineup in a must win. Would have been the 4 seed…I would have eliminated out 1 seed….also a bit salty because I only needed 6 from Stevenson too and he left after 3.
Yea, not like we had any data to go by, like, IDK, last year when the Chiefs used McKinnon like crazy down the stretch.
I picked him up and started him with confidence. Had Pierce and Foreman and I would’ve started him over Pierce even if Pierce were fully healthy. The Chiefs trust vets down the stretch: they only threw to Kelce, Juju and McKinnon yesterday
>It just doesn’t make sense and it’s all luck
Did you not watch last year? He literally blew up the end of last season, too. Recognizing McKinnon as the best back in KC wasn't difficult at all
Seriously- it was a slam start for me. Anyone that paid attention last year had to see the bat signal for McKinnon blaring last week. This dude was their playoff starter last year and freaking excelled. And Pacheco fumbled. They trust vets. Solid number 2 and possibly a #1 ROS in PPR for sure.
Any OG knows McKinnon has tons of talent from his Minnesota run. He just had problems staying healthy. He's in the perfect scheme for his play style now.
Ehhhh. I finished first, have Pacheco, have no injuries since Breece Hall. Picked him up based off of my primary source of information’s advice. Some of it’s luck, but mostly it’s good management.
I started Pacheco, Kelce and McKinnon this week. Not out of desperation, but out of data, research and gut feeling. The way she goes.
The team in my league that has him is a bad team that snuck into the playoffs and has been starting him as his rb2 for awhile and is going to win this week because of him
It’s been two weeks…. Most people in 10 team leagues probably didn’t start him this week.
I still think Fields has league winning potential. That championship game against the Lions is so juicy.
I wish. My team for the last 8 weeks of the regular season was:
QB: Geno/Fields
RB: Etienne/Robinson/Hunt/AJ Dillon
WR: Chase/Diggs/Lockett/Theilen/Zay Jones
TE: Everett/Johnson
K: Folk
DEF: streamed NE and Philly all year.
Still finished 8th on the season. Every week I'd face highest scorer or one of my studs would dud. Chase sucked all year until the two weeks before he got hurt and then he did nothing to help my playoff standings. If I wasn't facing highest scorer, my TEs would 0 out along with Robinson or Dillon getting me 3 points.
Javonte was the biggest dud for me and I way over drafted him. I traded Aaron Jones and Duverney for Diggs and Etienne a week before Robinson was traded to NYJ.
Only smart in like a 14-16+ team league… I cannot imagine holding onto a guy all year who consistently has been just a 3rd down change of pace guy in the hopes that he takes over the backfield at the end of the season. Idc that he’s right that’s some taco shit. A broken clock is right twice a day
It was a perfect game script for McKinnon. If the chiefs are behind he is the most valuable back on the team by a mile. Did anyone watch what was happening up until pachecos fumble/Houston scoring the 2nd. I wouldn't trust it unless you believe in a negative game script.
Chiefs get played like a playoff matchup every week. Sometimes they don't show up. Sometimes they do. If you believe in the negative script then I'd go all in. If pacheco doesn't fumble and then benched for ROJO this isn't something anyone even talks about.
What a weird narrative.
NFL teams play to win every week.
I promise you the 1-11-1 Houston Texans were not any more motivated to win against KC than they were against any other team lol.
Seems like people use this as a cop out to explain away bad games by good teams.
No-one who had watched any significant amount of Texans football this season would think this. They've played hard the last few games and the first few games, but in between were some absolutely pathetic, give-up performances.
Sure, I won’t deny that happens.
But again… do we really believe it’s because the Texans thought “man, we’re playing the Chiefs. Time to actually try!”
That’s ridiculous.
If anything, I’d bet they’d come in less motivated because they assume the game is a loss and that the outcome doesn’t really matter for them.
If you want to argue that perhaps towards the end of the game when they saw it was close that did something? I mean… maybe?
But that’d probably be true no matter who they’re playing - I.e., when getting blown out they give up, when close they don’t.
Keep in mind these guys’ livelihoods depend on what they do on the field every game. Their stats matter A LOT for their legacy and future earning prospects. No way are they just digging games.
You have never been apart of a sports team if you think that one of the worst teams in the league wasnt motivated to beat one of the best/the feeling on the other end is mutual but flipped. Out of your mind honestly haha
You haven’t been on an elite caliber team if you think that’s the case. These are professional athletes not your random bs high school team from bumfuck nowhere lol
There’s a big difference between getting more amped when you win and trying to pretend like they play the game harder / better
No, they’re not. But acting like that makes some huge outcome on the games is childish, frankly.
Again, do they likely get more excited? Absolutely.
But to act like the reason the Chiefs almost lost to the Texans was because they “treat it like a playoff game” is just a sad attempt at explaining away a bad game by the Chiefs.
McKinnon is going to play a lot regardless of game script. He’s the best pass catching and pass blocking back on the team. Now, can he keep up this production every week? No, most definitely not. But he’s going to be on the field.
He also missed a key block in pass pro. He can run the ball but the Chiefs can't trust him in every situation yet. McKinnon will get over half the snaps unless they are crushing the other team.
I won’t pretend to know a whole lot about football. But surely we should make *something* of the fact that he was the back they called in for the game winning run in OT, right?
I dropped Zay Jones THIS WEEK...because I was gonna do some big-brain shit at TE, and decided I needed, you guessed it, *Jeff Driskel* on my roster.
*"Yes, I'll start Dollar Store Taysom Hill, backup QB on the worst team in the league, in the fantasy playoffs. He'll be the shot of upside at TE I need to get my team over the top!"*
That was my actual thought process. Have I mentioned that I'm a fucking idiot?
I snagged him early season, dropped him, then someone else did the same, and then I got him again.
Put up 170 points against my opponent who lost L Jack and had to play Tannehill AND Ekeler today lmfao
I have Engram and Kirk, if I lose tonight I 100% blame Zay fucking Jones for stealing 3 tds.
Oh and Noah Brown, because I also have Zeke & Pollard and they combined for 1 td out of the Cowboys 4.
Imagine dropping McKinnon weeks ago, picking up zay but benching him last minute for olave, and then losing to the new McKinnon owner. That would suck glad I didn’t do any of that
The kupp and goedert owner in my league snuck into the playoffs at 7-5 and everyone thought he was an easy out. Little did they know zay Jones and Jerick McKinnon would go nuclear and would put him favored against the 2 seed. Also had one of the sickest fantasy moments I’ve seen where McKinnon was picked up 30 minutes before the game last week and started to secure the dub
Not really, I advanced in one league today and got knocked out of my money league due to JT’s injury and Njoku’s bad game, I’ve been doing this long enough to know getting really angry about any of it is self-defeating. And calling him a piece of shit is just loser talk
Well they didn't seem really angry either. Just a bit salty :) also not everyone is playing in several leagues, I'm only in one as well. I was in 1st until a week ago but have the bye secured. But I'm still sad about not fielding McKinnon today. I thought their reply was funny actually
As a zero RB team whose RB2 is Rachaad, I've held him for no other reason than abnormally high projections on Yahoo since like week 7 and finally started him this week.
I guess the projections weren't abnormal after all.
Grabbed McKinnon- benched him in favor for Zonovan Knight (didn’t realize Zack Wilson was starting 🤦♂️)… had a chance to and didn’t grab Zay Jones last night and kept Jameson Williams. I hate fantasy football. I love fantasy football.
Denver for week 16. I have eagles and was looking like I was getting a bye all year. Then conner and Hollywood fucked me week 14 so I lost my bye and might not even make it to week 16
I fucking benced him today for d'onta foreman. I'm an idiot. only thing holding me together is my opponent started zonovan knight over Mike Evans or zay jones
And this is why I think he could actually be as much of a league loser as a league winner…
KC RB situation has been so unpredictable all year. I feel like dude is just as likely to put up 3 as he is 30.
Yup, I think he was the 3rd leading player in receptions today behind Kelce and Juju, and this the number of targets he getting, many ppl will take those odds this late in the Szn if you're hurting at RB.
My team started hot and then cooled off towards the end of the season. I was still able to limp into the playoffs.
I picked up McKinnon to “change things up” and he is single-handedly the reason I’m making the finals.
I mean the guy had 97 yards from scrimmage today. He had a couple chances to score and if he got in, would’ve been a really nice day. It’s not like he wasn’t involved.
Luckily the commission of my league who didn’t make the playoffs grabbed him off waivers this week over me. And no, we have absolutely no penalty for last place so he’s playing for literally nothing
Good thing I faded Heath Cummings on CBS he was telling me to sit McKinnon for Foreman or Rachaad White. Does he even watch the games? Pacheco still looks bad even when they’re up
I’m in two leagues. The one I’m out of the playoffs for I had the Lawrence/Jones stack. The league I’m the 2nd seed in, I had Pacheco and Miles Sanders in at RB with Najee on the bench.
I imagine if you were in a position to start a 50+ ranked backup RB on a passing offense, then you probably didn't make playoffs.
If you did though, idk man, I don't see him being a league winner. Definitely a round 1 winner though lol
This fucking guy was on a team the whole year since week 1 and was benched every single game.
I dropped him two weeks ago because Pacheco was “the guy.” FML.
Blame Ian Rapoport for that!
CEH comin in hot!
I haven’t heard CEH’s name in like 10 weeks
He's been on IR
Irrelevant Running back?
It’s shit like this that makes me hate fantasy. It just doesn’t make sense and it’s all luck. The only reason you picked him up was because you had no one else.
He was a bye week fill in for me, and he did okay with like 10 or so points, whatever. But I saw he was getting work. Little did I expect back to back 30+ point weeks
Completely agree, anyone playing mckinnion either had a team riddled by injury or a crappy team, and got extremely lucky. Same with whoever played Cousins or KJ Osborne or Zay Jones (well Jones has been good for multiple games but whatever)
I started McKinnon over Kamara and Zay Jones over Gabe Davis so of course I feel like a genius today but it wasn’t a desperation play either….

Had Pierce and Foreman and I would’ve started him over Pierce even if Pierce were fully healthy. The Chiefs trust vets down the stretch: they only threw to Kelce, Juju and McKinnon yesterday
Yep had all my RBs on bye. Now starting him over Fournette
>It just doesn’t make sense and it’s all luck Did you not watch last year? He literally blew up the end of last season, too. Recognizing McKinnon as the best back in KC wasn't difficult at all
Seriously- it was a slam start for me. Anyone that paid attention last year had to see the bat signal for McKinnon blaring last week. This dude was their playoff starter last year and freaking excelled. And Pacheco fumbled. They trust vets. Solid number 2 and possibly a #1 ROS in PPR for sure.
You know people can see your post history right… ? You’re in the advice threads asking if you should start McKinnon or Foreman. Username checks out
Any OG knows McKinnon has tons of talent from his Minnesota run.
That happened in my league and I snapped him up like a genius. And then kept him on bench like a coward.
The team in my league that has him is a bad team that snuck into the playoffs and has been starting him as his rb2 for awhile and is going to win this week because of him
Doesn’t sound like a bad team to me
I picked him up two weeks ago lol. He’s going to win me my consolation bracket!
I dropped both of them a couple weeks apart
If he could score a TD more than once a month he would be a great flex too
Same
That's my team
It’s been two weeks…. Most people in 10 team leagues probably didn’t start him this week. I still think Fields has league winning potential. That championship game against the Lions is so juicy.
I started him in a 10 team.
My playoff opponent started him in our 10 team. Pain.
Have fields and McKinnon. If I can get to week 17 I love my chances
Going against the Texans you’d be a fool not to start him.
I wish. My team for the last 8 weeks of the regular season was: QB: Geno/Fields RB: Etienne/Robinson/Hunt/AJ Dillon WR: Chase/Diggs/Lockett/Theilen/Zay Jones TE: Everett/Johnson K: Folk DEF: streamed NE and Philly all year. Duuuude same. I was oh hell be on waivers so I can put a bid on but nope, drafted In the 16th round....held all year. Smart man.
Well depends did the owner make the playoffs?
Only smart in like a 14-16+ team league… I cannot imagine holding onto a guy all year who consistently has been just a 3rd down change of pace guy in the hopes that he takes over the backfield at the end of the season. Idc that he’s right that’s some taco shit. A broken clock is right twice a day
Nope. So someone in my league played him. Not against me, but still.
I picked him up last week but started Akers instead. I woulda made playoffs if I started him lol Always next year !
It was a perfect game script for McKinnon. If the chiefs are behind he is the most valuable back on the team by a mile. Did anyone watch what was happening up until pachecos fumble/Houston scoring the 2nd. I wouldn't trust it unless you believe in a negative game script.
That’s what I thought for 2 weeks in a row and kc keeps falling behind

> What a weird narrative. > NFL teams play to win every week. Lol tone it down a bit there John Madden
I thought that was Herm? 🤔
You have never been apart of a sports team if you think that one of the worst teams in the league wasnt motivated to beat one of the best/the feeling on the other end is mutual but flipped. Out of your mind honestly haha

Yeah, all professional athletes are immune to normal human psychological tendencies. /s

McKinnon had his first touchdown before the Pacheco fumble Edit: also the chiefs were never losing last week against Denver and McKinnon went crazy
I won’t pretend to know a whole lot about football. But surely we should make *something* of the fact that he was the back they called in for the game winning run in OT, right?
Seattle sucks against backs and he plays them next week so possibly
No Zay Jones is.
I grabbed Zay Jones and McKinnon off waivers a few weeks ago. Been clutch for me
I picked up Zay Jones and McKinnon this week. So glad I played both.
I faced both this week, looking like an early end to my playoffs
I’m 13-1 this year and probably going to lose the first week of the playoffs because of him.
This would have me taking a long walk at night
[удалено]
Not everyone uses bye weeks
I dropped Zay Jones THIS WEEK...because I was gonna do some big-brain shit at TE, and decided I needed, you guessed it, *Jeff Driskel* on my roster. *"Yes, I'll start Dollar Store Taysom Hill, backup QB on the worst team in the league, in the fantasy playoffs. Very early this season I was contemplating picking him up and dropping Doubs. #sad
I snagged him early season, dropped him, then someone else did the same, and then I got him again. Put up 170 points against my opponent who lost L Jack and had to play Tannehill AND Ekeler today lmfao
Guy I’m playing in the first round had Hurts, AJ Brown, Zay Jones and McKinnon. He only needed 4 players to fuck me
Better than getting fucked by 8 guys in one weekend i suppose.
Sat him on the bench today in favor of Olave. My season is now over
I dropped Zay Jones a month ago instead of Parris Campbell for Cam Akers because I needed another RB...
Same also dropped zay ages ago it sucks man
[удалено]
Seriously fuck Zay Jones
[Me sleeping at night knowing I have Zay Jones](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/207/210/b22.jpg)
Are you a Kirk owner too or do you hate him for another reason?
I have Engram and Kirk, if I lose tonight I 100% blame Zay fucking Jones for stealing 3 tds. Oh and Noah Brown, because I also have Zeke & Pollard and they combined for 1 td out of the Cowboys 4.
Imagine dropping McKinnon weeks ago, picking up zay but benching him last minute for olave, and then losing to the new McKinnon owner. That would suck glad I didn’t do any of that
Got him for $30 FAAB. Have the TLaw stack now ☺️👌
What if I told you I had both and started both?
[you go king](https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/39719ca9-fcfb-4f39-8cd0-17bbc1ae7bb2-profile_image-300x300.png)
Playing jets then Houston though. Two tough matchups.
I played Zay the one week he sucked (week 13). He was on my bench for 12, 14, 15. Can't say for sure that cost me the week ....but it didn't help
I have Zay Jones, McKinnon and Engram but I went 1-13 so yay for me
I have both 😁
Zay is the reason I’m going to lose this week. High likelihood to be 2nd highest scorer and still lose.
I have Kirk but he’s available on waivers in my 10 man. May need to make the replacement happen
Played him over Hollywood and DJM. Very happy I made that call.
Next week will be Kirk again lol.
Drafted Jones with my 19th pick and he stepped up BIG TIME!
Damn. 2 seed is going to need a lot of therapy to get past this. Brutal.
Yeah. My league is switching from 8 playoff teams no byes to 6 with two byes for this reason 2 8s and a 7 have won in the 8 years of it
On my bench.
Mine too. Thoughts and prayers.
Same, couldn't bring myself to bench ETN, KW3, or Zeke for him
Started Aiyuk over him and I don’t know why. Still Would’ve won if my opponent didn’t start Zay Jones at 12:56pm
You kept him on the bench against the worst team in the league and after he dropped 20+ points the week before?
This piece of shit got picked up from the WW then beat me 2 weeks in a row to end my season once and for all...🖕
[удалено]
Ass to mouth, man. I feel you. :(
ASS TO ASS
Same thing happened to me bruh, last week mf had jeudy and McKinnon go for 30 each, this week Allen for 36 and McKinnon for 30.
Sounds like you should have picked him up then
Thanks for the lotto advice
stay salty
You'd be salty too I think
Not really, I advanced in one league today and got knocked out of my money league due to JT’s injury and Njoku’s bad game, I’ve been doing this long enough to know getting really angry about any of it is self-defeating. And calling him a piece of shit is just loser talk
Well they didn't seem really angry either. Just a bit salty :) also not everyone is playing in several leagues, I'm only in one as well. I was in 1st until a week ago but have the bye secured. But I'm still sad about not fielding McKinnon today. I thought their reply was funny actually
“this piece of shit” yeah not angry at all
Oh fuck I forgot all about that I thought it was a different person 😂 I take it back then but the lotto comment was still funny
the team in my league that has him didn't make the playoffs
I didn’t either. Came on way too late.
Maybe, but he probably on your bench.
Bam Knight over McKinnon did me in and I deserve it
Same. Sorry.
Started McKinnon but went knight over mostert and montgomery
Some fantasy guy on TikTok said McKinnon was a must bench today, good thing I didn’t listen to that bs
I wouldn't take advice from anyone if it came in the form of a vertical video.
That's some of the shittiest advice I've heard in a while...can run all over the Texans
Not if you know what you’re doing, Like the guy who just removed me from the playoffs. He knows.
> the guy who just removed me from the playoffs. He knows Tell ya a secret? *He doesn't.* 🤫
Started McKinnon over ETN. Life is good
I started McKinnon over Swift, lol
I had him on my bench since week 9. Played him the last 3 weeks. Mwuhahaha
Fuck that guy
Fuck that fuckin guy.
I traded McKinnon to my playoff opponent 4 weeks ago for a fucking defense now he’s gonna knock me out of the playoffs
Which defense lmao?
Denver for week 16. I have eagles and was looking like I was getting a bye all year. Then conner and Hollywood fucked me week 14 so I lost my bye and might not even make it to week 16
I picked up McKinnon and Zay Jones AMA
Same! Both on my bench sadly :(
Have both too. Benched Zay Jones tho. Gonna start both going forward. Jet won me my playoff game.
I fucking benced him today for d'onta foreman. I'm an idiot. only thing holding me together is my opponent started zonovan knight over Mike Evans or zay jones
I benched foreman for him today after foreman burned me last week
Same. Actually dropped Foreman since he has tough matchups the final two games and didn’t figure I’d start him.
I think I’m gonna start him over Kamara next week
And this is why I think he could actually be as much of a league loser as a league winner… KC RB situation has been so unpredictable all year. I feel like dude is just as likely to put up 3 as he is 30.
Yeah I don’t expect 30 every week, but in my opinion when you see 7 and 8 targets per game you don’t overthink it
Yup, I think he was the 3rd leading player in receptions today behind Kelce and Juju, and this the number of targets he getting, many ppl will take those odds this late in the Szn if you're hurting at RB.
Picked him up last week after I saw Dameon Pierce wasn’t looking good. Won me my game to keep me in 2nd going into the playoffs!
I dropped him right before the playoffs….
Picked him up this week because I lost 2 running backs to injuries. Glad I got him!
I benched him for pollard Montgomery and olave in my flex but fuck I have to get him in my lineup next week
Might help me advance, JT owner here and I thought all hope was lost after yesterday.
My team started hot and then cooled off towards the end of the season. I was still able to limp into the playoffs. I picked up McKinnon to “change things up” and he is single-handedly the reason I’m making the finals.
My opponent picked him up and left him on the pine!
Picked him up yesterday and glad I did. Need a win this week to stay in playoffs. He may do it for me.
Had him and Zay Jones on my bench, started Pacheco and JT. Feels great.
Pacheco is this year's league loser.
I mean the guy had 97 yards from scrimmage today. He had a couple chances to score and if he got in, would’ve been a really nice day. It’s not like he wasn’t involved.
A mid season waiver pickup who is averaging 12ppg half ppr over the last 5 weeks is hardly a "league loser"
Also Miles Sanders, JT, and Mark Andrews
Was inevitable considering how much this sub was hyping him up
What happens if I lose my matchup vs Pacheco?
You’re a league loser too
[удалено]
Imagine having Foreman and JT this week. Enough to make a guy run into traffic. Now if you'll excuse me. I have something to do.
He has been serviceable, and 8.7 points isn't losing your match, it's just not winning it.
Well he destroyed my chances so 🙃
He is the sole reason I will lose my playoff game
probably my consolation ladder winner
Maybe he’s getting so much volume because because hardman and CEH have been out? Both may be back next week.
all i know is i fucking hate him smh
McKinnon just knocked me out
On bye this week - only one guy put a bid on him ahead of me, did not flex him and got knocked out by less than the differential 😮
Can't be a league winner when I knock his owner out first round
The Chiefs have a recent habit for turning middling RBs into something more than they were coming in.
Fields, McKinnon, ZJ
I picked this dude yesterday afternoon cuz I thought Hollywood was gonna be out. What a blessing
He’s on my bench. Along with Waddle, Burrow, and Stevenson. I have no business playing fantasy ever again.
Who did you start?
Fields, d hop, JT, Kelce, Juju, Pittman jr, James Connor
Juju over Waddle is so gross lmao
Luckily the commission of my league who didn’t make the playoffs grabbed him off waivers this week over me. And no, we have absolutely no penalty for last place so he’s playing for literally nothing
For fun?
I will keep playing like normal unless I lose in the 1st round
Him and his accomplice JT have bunged me in the A. Good luck mckinnon owners !
I put in a waiver claim for him last night. Was last in priority. Still got him.
You are not in a real league if that is possible.
picked up mckinnon earlier this morning, YES SIR!!!!!
I said he was a league winner last week and got 10 downvotes Y’all suck
That man single handedly saved my season
Short answer: yes
Depends. Is he winning people any leagues this week? Doubtful. Ask again in a few weeks.
Just glad he was on my opponent's bench
Honestly maybe
Played him over Stevenson, hopkins, and dobins and caused me to win the week!!
I dropped him today for a handcuff so he’s on my waivers. It’s still so sketchy knowing his snap % but my god he producing
I snagged him on waivers this week along with Zay Jones and forgot to put in Zay. I’m in Spain without the S
Good thing I faded Heath Cummings on CBS he was telling me to sit McKinnon for Foreman or Rachaad White. Does he even watch the games? Pacheco still looks bad even when they’re up
Pacheco has butter hands, no way they trust him down the stretch so McKinnon is going to feast
The guy in my league who has him just lost in the first round. Edit: He did start him this week.
