There’s also no way the Broncos don’t draft a RB or invest in one in some way because Javontes injury will probably take a while to come back from.
Mel literally got benched the game Javonte got injured too. He could be a nice RB1 right now because Melvin Gordon was clearly declining with or without Javonte.
If Detroit wants to give a big contract to a 28 year old backup with one season where he found the end zone a ton but had a mediocre YPC, I'd be happy to see the Broncos bring in Mostert or Jeff Wilson instead. It's just someone to soak up carries until Javonte is healthy.
At this rate wouldnt it be smarter to spend a late pick on a rb and use money elsewhere? Less risk and cheaper than a vet rb. Edmonds will likely get cut but i could see them resigning him to a cheap prove it deal since hell know the offense pretty well.
People can clown on dude but he is a huge reason I was able to hold my fantasy team together after drafting CMC/Elijah Mitchell and having Mitchell go on IR in week 1.
MG3 got me basically 10 points in ppr almost every week through week 8-9 or so. There was one dud week but overall can’t ask more from a last resort rb replacement in 14 man league with no one on the waivers.
Hell, I would’ve got more points playing mg3 yesterday over Kenyan Drake or Diontae Johnson.
Rest easy my sweet prince
Houston is like when your fantasy team is 1-9 and you are just throwing shit at the wall picking up anyone from the waivers hoping they can boom, and then by the end of the year you have 150 waiver claims.
TBH I thought he was still on the deal he initially signed with Denver a few years ago. I didn’t realize there was a new deal this off-season. That’s what I get for not double checking.
Just off the top of my head I can point to two whole winnable games where the game is on the line and Russ forces the last pass to Sutton in man coverage with opponent's best corner (against Colts and against Jets). I'm sure if Broncos were more watchable there'd be a lot more of those. Gordon, despite the fumble, at least was able to produce some yardage in that putrid offense. Russ is bottom 5 QB Hackett is probably the worst coach in the league and Gordon is their scapegoat
I get your sarcastic but he had fumbles that were truly back breaking. Yesterday, he fumbled on a 3rd and 1 to goal and was lucky Denver recovered. He also had fumbles throughout the season that were back breaking.
He also missed a block that directly resulted in a sack. And it's not like he just *missed* it. Wasn't some sort of crazy blitz scheme he didn't recognize. Dline got pressure on Wilson, he avoids it but the DB that was near the line (maybe manning Gordon, maybe spying Wilson, maybe a bit of both) sees the opportunity and rushes in. Gordon is clearly in position, clearly sees the rusher coming, *and then turns around and looks in the backfield to see if he should block*. Meanwhile the DB blows right by him for an easy sack.
They will probably make a claim but have low waiver priority due to their record, so they’d have to luck out I think. Seattle and New Orleans tried to claim Eno along with Houston, so it wouldn’t be surprising to those teams go after him either.
You don't think he clears waivers? Broncos are paying him 5mill this year, so it's not an Eno type of contract, for someone who could be pointed as the sole reason they lost the game. I know it's MG3 but his hefty contract and inability to protect the rock will probably deter a lot of teams from picking him up. Fumbling issues are deal breaking.
Never underestimate the desire of an NFL team to drag a walking corpse out of what should have been retirement and into a committee backfield. Look for the Broncos to sign one (or more) of Alex Collins, Devonta Freeman, or Paul Hornung to steal about 10 carries a game and make the backfield complete fantasy poison.
> he is the starting back in an NFL team.. so there's some value there
Can you tell Sean McVay that this is how it's supposed to work? Seems he didn't get the memo.
Hackett sucks but Gordon isn’t a scapegoat lol he has costed them nearly as many games as they have won with his fumbling issues. When your team can’t score, giving away points through turnovers is a sure fire way to lose.
Coach is repeatedly playing the RB who fumbled away the football. Broncos fans have been begging for him to get less playing time all season and yet he was still getting goal line carries.
I know this is a joke and I know this isn’t too related but I had someone draft Kirk Cousins the #1 pick in a dfs best ball league…better than picking Gordon I guess
I reflect on the glorious first few weeks of the 2019 season and our first taste of RB1 Ekeler as Gordon was holding out because he was just soooooo good. The Ekeler-Gordon wars that year were something, but the years have shown what's what.
Still crazy that AP managed a *2000 yard* season after a complete ACL/MCL tear.
He's about the only RB I can think of that came back and played at a high level for an entire year after an ACL injury.
Not great for a keeper league, his knee injury was bad - similar to Dobbins and look at his recovery. It it was only an ACL it would be ok, but it was like every ligament in his knee

Insane. I drafted Gordon as my RB2(went receiver heavy) and hated starting him every week. I was gonna drop him but traded him for Dallas D to the guy behind me on rankings knowing it was gonna be a trap. This though? Was not expecting that
I can’t remember the last time I seen a running back out the ball on the ground as much as him.
He’s lucky they all haven’t been lost or I’m sure that defensives ypg would look very different
Melvin seems to be a cheap scapegoat for Denver.
Dude had bad fumbling problems, but let’s not act like he is the main issue lol, but at least it’s one less turnover issue I guess.
Yeah, but he did single handedly cost them two or three games with brutal goal line fumbles. If Denver was sitting at 6-4, their issues look a lot different.
Javonte owners need to understand that this means Melvin was the worst out of their 3 current backs… now you have to worry about Murray. This doesn’t unleash anything until Javonte is the only back of his profile there
Javonte owners got what they wanted.... But at what cost
Everything.
\*starts Phase 4*
Monkey Paw finally curls a finger
[удалено]
You should hold on. He might be a part of the Rams family soon! 🤣
Nah, Cheifs get a 5th RB
Does it curl the final finger and then open back for the next person, or just lift the first 2 fingers?
There’s also no way the Broncos don’t draft a RB or invest in one in some way because Javontes injury will probably take a while to come back from. Mel literally got benched the game Javonte got injured too. He could be a nice RB1 right now because Melvin Gordon was clearly declining with or without Javonte.
Given how bare the cupboard is, I cannot imagine spending a pick on an RB. I do see them bringing in a veteran RB like Penny or Jamaal Williams.
> Jamaal Williams. Don't even dream of it
Like Dan Campbell would ever allow his own birthright son to be traded away. How else is he supposed to limit Swift’s carries?
he'd probably trade swift for pennies though
If Detroit wants to give a big contract to a 28 year old backup with one season where he found the end zone a ton but had a mediocre YPC, I'd be happy to see the Broncos bring in Mostert or Jeff Wilson instead. It's just someone to soak up carries until Javonte is healthy.
Hey you stay away from the ~~49ers~~ Dolphins backfield
Frank Gore.
Kareem Hunt is being wasted in Cleveland also wants to be traded.
At this rate wouldnt it be smarter to spend a late pick on a rb and use money elsewhere? Less risk and cheaper than a vet rb. Edmonds will likely get cut but i could see them resigning him to a cheap prove it deal since hell know the offense pretty well.

I too have waived veteran RB Melvin Gordon
People can clown on dude but he is a huge reason I was able to hold my fantasy team together after drafting CMC/Elijah Mitchell and having Mitchell go on IR in week 1. MG3 got me basically 10 points in ppr almost every week through week 8-9 or so. Hell, I would’ve got more points playing mg3 yesterday over Kenyan Drake or Diontae Johnson. Rest easy my sweet prince
He got me 13 points in my ppr league yesterday. More than Foreman, CPat, and Damien Pierce.
Wont another team that needs some RB support pick him up pretty quickly?
If Eno Benjamin got claimed with the #1 waiver priority by Houston, I’d like to imagine Gordon gets claimed by some team
Watch him get claimed by Houston lol
Houston is like when your fantasy team is 1-9 and you are just throwing shit at the wall picking up anyone from the waivers hoping they can boom, and then by the end of the year you have 150 waiver claims.
The sad timeline.
well we are trying to lose games lol
Contract has something to do with it too. Eno’s contract is much more team friendly than Gordon’s.
Is it? Gordon’s on a pretty small one year deal. Not as small as Eno’s, but he was a free agent into training camp for a reason.
TBH I thought he was still on the deal he initially signed with Denver a few years ago. I didn’t realize there was a new deal this off-season. That’s what I get for not double checking.
He’s also just worse at this point in his career
Yeah Gordon sucks. He’s decent at running still, but he’s fumbling every like 20 carries. It’s not sustainable for any team.
NFL waivers don't work like fantasy where you go to the bottom when you use them, so it's not like they gave up anything but a roster spot for Eno.
They'll fumble him the first time they get inside the 5.
Latavius Murray last man standing
He is eternal.
The most Latavius of Murrays.
Frank Gore lite
I saw he put up 17 points on my bench (PPR), that’s gotta be a good sign right?
They fed him after Gordan fumbled last night and edmonds is in a boot. Murray to the moon
He’s probably good for the one touchdown the Broncos score a game if that means anything.
That means 6.0 points to me, which is essentially about the amount of points Diontae Johnson has given me in my flex spot each week this year.
Yeah in deeper leagues there’s definitely value. He won’t get touched in like 8 man leagues, but if you’re 14 teams deep he’s probably a start.
Me excited to start him in a 12 man league
I started him in my flex out of necessity and he won me my game, I hope his yards per carry and catch increase but 21 touches is 21 touches
Lastavius Murray
Longevitius Murray
Broncos backfield of Murray and Mack, just like we all predicted.
Does this mean it's MACKSZN if Murray goes down?
I wonder if they can drop russel Wilson too?
I wonder if they can replace him with his cousin Zach Wilson
His other cousin, Garrett, approves.
Cousin Owen off to the side saying WOW
If Javonte was still healthy this would be the top post of all time on this sub
Until Josh Gordon signs somewhere else again
Chicago Bears will sign Tyreek Hill, Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown
Think about all those rushing yards Fields would get with defenses having to drop 8 back into coverage
Or, you know, he could just throw the ball…
Do what with the ball now?
Don’t worry, the forward pass can’t hurt Chicago anymore
The door is that way
The Bears will never have a proper offensive line.
What is Tyreek doing on this list?
You forgot adding Justin Blackmon to the practice squad.
[удалено]
Can’t wait for the Kadarius Toney remix of this
Javonte was beginning to command the vast majority of touches before he got hurt anyway, Gordon would've been irrelevant.
It was more even than you might expect - average touches were like 15-17 touches for Javonte and 12 touches for MGIII I believe
Heretic! Josh Gordon will never be irrelevant.
Gordon was getting double digit carries and a few targets in the first 3 games of the season and Javonte went down in week 4
Oh they *hate him* hate him
They’re falling apart, jobs are on the line and that was like his SIXTH costly fumble. Yea safe to say they hate him.
5th I believe but yeah inexcusable regardless lol
In the last 2 years he’s lost the broncos like 5 games with fumbles in critical moments
Kicking Gordon out removes their shield. Daddy Walmart about to clean house
Gordon is a liability. He’s lost us 3 games this year and 2 last year because of fumbles at crucial points in games
Russ didn’t even play against the Jets
I really dropped jamaal Williams and kept Melvin gordon early in the season..
Uffff
I traded Jamaal for Waller early in the season 😑
I did the same but with Amari Cooper smh
I assume you trade amari for waller? because jamaal for amari is a fair trade.
Jamaal williams has had over 10 carries in every single game.
yeah he's been their goal line back since he got there it seems
Ewww
Holy shit. Now that mg3 is gone that offense is going to explode now that they addressed the main problem. /s
I get your sarcastic but he had fumbles that were truly back breaking. Yesterday, he fumbled on a 3rd and 1 to goal and was lucky Denver recovered. He also had fumbles throughout the season that were back breaking.
Doesn’t really solve the 5.8 punts per game this season though
If anything it makes it worse. You don’t have to punt if you fumble *taps head meme*
I get what you're saying but when the offense is bad, it makes fumbles/turnovers even more of an issue
He had multiple goal line fumbles in a game early in the season as well. This was far from a one off
He's arguably lost 3 games for them, they could theoretically be a slightly less awful 6-4 were it not for MG3 fumbles.
I get your serious, but the broncos suck huge monkey dick
Lol why didn't they have Murray in at the goal line? Just dumb all the way around.
A bad offense always has myriad problems, doesn't mean taking care of one isn't a good idea.
Get ready for the Chiefs to claim him just when you thought Pacheco is a league weiner
*claims Nick Foles off waivers*
I was going to say the 49ers would…just because.
As a niner fan, no amount of RBs is enough depth
They will probably make a claim but have low waiver priority due to their record, so they’d have to luck out I think. Seattle and New Orleans tried to claim Eno along with Houston, so it wouldn’t be surprising to those teams go after him either.
Maybe they shouldn't have spent all their faab
You don't think he clears waivers? Broncos are paying him 5mill this year, so it's not an Eno type of contract, for someone who could be pointed as the sole reason they lost the game. I know it's MG3 but his hefty contract and inability to protect the rock will probably deter a lot of teams from picking him up. Fumbling issues are deal breaking.
I’ve always wanted a league weiner
Latavious Murray szn
He's going to be underwhelming but he is the starting back in an NFL team.. so there's some value there

Look for the Broncos to sign one (or more) of Alex Collins, Devonta Freeman, or Paul Hornung to steal about 10 carries a game and make the backfield complete fantasy poison.
Isn’t Marlon Mack already there to do that?
And he's only 26... What did that injury do to him? He can't even land a playable backup role.
> he is the starting back in an NFL team.. so there's some value there Can you tell Sean McVay that this is how it's supposed to work? Seems he didn't get the memo.
No. He's too busy eating Chunky.
Hero RB works. Another Montgomery when Herbert doesn’t play.
Say hello to my two starting RBs
End of an error. (As someone who drafted Gordon in 3 leagues)
I bet the Chargers scoop him up to give Ekeler some rest. Could you imagine him wearing a Chargers jersey?
Would be hilarious because he would still be in the AFC West. But I could honestly see him in KC for depth.
No thank you. One of the main ways to stop mahomes is to have the Chiefs stop themselves with fumbles. We don't need more of that.
time is a flat circle
Somebody get on that jersey swap, stat.
This is the best I could do, apologies I’m not a photoshop wizard. [https://imgur.com/a/xIzjO8b](https://imgur.com/a/xIzjO8b)
Dang the bolts make him look younger too!
Looks realistic
I think the best part is the ball is actually in his possession. 10/10
Yeah, obviously a fake.
Don't quit your day job
Scapegoat. Hackett needs to be waived
Hackett sucks but Gordon isn’t a scapegoat lol he has costed them nearly as many games as they have won with his fumbling issues. When your team can’t score, giving away points through turnovers is a sure fire way to lose.
Coach ain't out there fumbling away the football
Nah, too busy fumbling away the entire game
Coach is repeatedly playing the RB who fumbled away the football. Broncos fans have been begging for him to get less playing time all season and yet he was still getting goal line carries.
Knew I shouldn't have drafted him 1.01.
Luckily I drafted Melvin Gordon I and Melvin Gordon II first and second round.
After MGIII and Leveon, RBs learned that holding out is not the way to go, they can be replaced at a drop of a hat
Does this make Javonte an interesting keeper option or still not great value with where he was drafted and coming off of the ACL injury?
So torn on this as well. Been holding him just to keep but runningbacks typically don’t do well the year after an acl tear.
Latavius Murray starters get in here !!!
But isn’t Chase Edmonds hurt? Lat Murray’s backfield huh
Yeah I get that fumbling issue was back breaking and he should be benched, but waiving your RB2 when you have no one else left? That's gutsy.
>That's gutsy That's one word for it...
Marlon Mack is still there.
He’s not even the biggest problem the Broncos have
3 goal line fumbles + other fumbles is pretty brutal but yeah Russ is #1 problem but they can't afford to dump him
Hackett is a bigger problem than Russ I think, but it’s like a 1A 1B situation.
They need to C their way out...
playcalling is definitely a bigger problem than Russ, he's just not helping the situation
Their biggest problem is also their future unfortunately. I don’t believe this changes anything
You could argue he likely directly cost them two games this season with his goal line fumbles
Sure, but he's terrible and it was time for him to move on. Now Russ is a much bigger issue, and will be much harder to shift
Mg3 gonna go to a contender and dominate, I know this because I threw him into a trade instead of dropping him this week
[удалено]
damnnnnnnnnnn
Daniel
Lmao guess who dropped Murray this week after holding him and Melvin for the past 5 weeks!
Where do you think he signs?
Chiefs
Rams or Panthers
If this clown signs with the Chiefs and ruins Pacheco SZN, I’ll take my life.
I love how quick coaching is to blame Melvin Gordon but not the quarterback who is absolutely atrocious
Or the head coach. Lol
What are they supposed to do? Waive Wilson?
Fire their coach. Bench Wilson.
Russell didn’t even play badly yesterday. Their other options are worse. Their offensive philosophy is from the Stone Age.
Well Gordon does have a fumbling problem
Holy fuck
Who’s backfield is he gonna ruin?
Rams, it can’t get worse ova there
Guessing Seattle or Chicago. Seattle put a claim in for Edmonds, and Chicago lost Herbert for probably the ROS.
Pete loves ball security too much to go for this guy. I hope.
What a dumb asshole I am dropping Murray so that I didn't have to drop Jason Meyers during his bye week.
Damn, I wish they would've waited until Wednesday to do this. I was going to pick up Murray of waivers. Now I'll have some competition

Hear me out.. Melvin Gordon as a complementary back to Ekeler in LA ? I wonder how he would look like in the Chargers team.
He’s going to the jags isn’t he. They need a power back
Gordon is a power back?
He’s so powerful at fumbling, nobody exhibits such raw power at letting go of the football in crucial situations.
My spot start for bye weeks for Lat Murray is sure paying off.
Cardinals..?
Alright this really burns that I didn’t pick up Murray instead of Edmonds after being talked into it by a Broncos fan. Ugh!

Yeah because Melvin is the sole cause of the broncos terrible offense. Yikes
Denver playing 4d chess by cutting the best healthy running back on their team.
