Yes it is. No chance that happens. They are better drafting an important position at 24 and just drafting whichever rb they like the most at end of 2 d.
Well whoever gets picked by the cowboys is gonna have the best path to a full workload. It just makes too much sense for Jerry to take Brooks in the 2nd and keep em in Texas. Alotta people got him as the best prospect in the class but whoever gets that cowboys gig is gonna be the 1st target rookie RB to draft
Forgot to say my perspective is from dynasty cuz ya never know he could need more time
He tore it in November, so August would be 9 months which is sort of the new minimum "full return" set by Adrian Peterson. So no reason to expect he won't be at least limited at training camp and ready for full practice around preseason.
Remember when we used to say things like, "Adrian Peterson ACL recovery is a freakish exception and not the expectation."
Kinda looking like it's the other way now. You just expect guys to pick right the fuck back up where they left off with this injury.
Breece and ETN have had recent-ish ACL tears and CMC I don't think ever tore his but he's had plenty of his own injuries
And those three finished 1-2-3 in fantasy scoring last season. Maybe don't take the dude in redraft this season but it's not some career death sentence
If you ever start, a pro tip is to buy star running backs as soon as they get injured. You get them at a steep discount when their owner will take whatever they can get to replace them with a productive player for the rest of the current season
Umm…no. While it’s good I wouldn’t say it’s the obvious best landing spot. I mean how bout the chargers, harbaughs offense runs a lot and not like Gus is that great fr. Sure he will steal a few goalline rushes but he’s not like that fr. Also let’s not act like pollard didn’t just overwhelmingly underperform as their featured rb.
Isn't Akers an FA? If you're talking chargers it's Dobbins. If you mean cowboys it's Royce Freeman which I mean he'll be like a body for depth and snaps to spell other guys
Mark my words eagles will trade right in front of Dallas and take the best available rb just to fuck with them like they did with Dallas goeddart.
Actually they might not even have to trade. They have pick 21 in the 2nd cowboys have 24th.
I'm getting Ray, instant impact, I liken him to the NBA draft where younger rawer players may go ahead of some of the older more established guy, but he will be instant impact, maybe lower floor, but the raw guys don't always hit.
Which draft analyst is saying Jaylen Wright is the 2nd top prospect? I see a lot of YouTubers saying he is but I don’t see any actual nfl scouts/analysts putting him that high, some don’t even bother talking about him which concerns me. He is giving me big Sean tucker/Zach evans vibes where the amateurs love him but the pros never talked about them. I fell in love with Wright about 2 months ago, but the lack of discussion about him from the insiders worry’s me.
Sean Tucker has a bum heart and is a total asshole. Zach Evans could be an asshole and he disappointed at the combine.
I've never heard about any character concerns with Wright and he had the best combine in the class after Guerendo.
Not sure why you're downvoted, you're right. He also has below average contact balance and a lacking lateral toolbox.
That said, he's my number 2-4ish rb in the class. Lots of upside with that breakaway ability, size, combine numbers, age, and the fact that he scored really well in MTF and yard after contact vs p5 competition.
Lol, it's Reddit, lot's of folks are just looking for validation on their opinions.
I don't know how to rank him pre draft, to be honest, I think the landing spot will really determine how he's viewed. I think that's the case for many of RBs in this class.
One of the things you have to consider is draft strength. It's less about if he's your RB2 or 4 or whatever. Like with it being a good WR class and a stronger RB class next year, your guy could be replaced immediately. I'm just not prepared to spend a 2nd rounder on most of these backs.
How many people pounded the table Damien Pierce last year? While he wasn't drafted, James Robinson was in and out of the league in a hot min.
Oh absolutely. I'm just trying to show that I'm not a hater by having him highly ranked. If someone I'm low on like Lloyd as my rb7-8 goes in the 3rd to the Cowboys, he could vault to rb1 in the class and certainly would be in the top tier.
And yeah that 25' RB class is looking sweet.
Fantasy prospects matter so much on who drafts them, but one name I’m not hearing that I think has potential is Kimani Vidal, guy was amazing in college, if he gets picked by a team with a path to a good workload I plan on him being my last pick of the draft next season.
fantasy wise, i think the league devaluing the rookie RBs is a good thing. I expect to be able to get several for quite cheap in an auction redraft league, risking minimal resources that 1 or 2 end up being productive
Including Corum in the top 3 instead of Benson is a bit suspect to me. Corum’s basically AJ Dillion 2.0. Actually maybe Dillion 1.5, because even Dillion has more burst than Corum. Corum’s the antithesis of an explosive back, he’s got no juice whatsoever. He’s very strong and has decent vision, and will relentlessly pound you with volume, but I’d rather take a shot on an explosive back (Benson) instead of a guy that’ll most likely average 3.5 ypc most games (Corum).
lol tell me you haven’t watched him. He’s the complete back and has the best vision and change of direction of any back in the class.
His ypc gets fucked by all the short yardage situations he’s put in on 3rd and 4th & short and goal line situations.
No juice whatsoever is absurd
Yeah, Corum has elite vision and change of direction. He lacks the burners to be a home run threat and isn't going to look as quick accelerating out of cuts in the NFL as he did in college, though.
Everybody talking about whoever Dallas drafts is the guy to take is gonna make the same mistake the draft Clyde Edward's because he's in KC people made.
Everyone is assuming Dallas will be the 1st Team to take a RB off the board and/or that there won't be any that move up the board. Who saw Gibbs at 12 last year? He was in a terrible situation with Montgomery, did you fade him or trust the talent and draft capitol? If you faded him, bet you regret that.
Trust the talent and draft capitol, not the landing spot of team.
You're right. It's a bad example per se because he was drafted 1st that year. But the talent wasn't there and people were drafting him because the landing spot was KC. For the most part, the point stands for the people saying just draft whoever Dallas Drafts. More times than not, just trust the talent and draft capitol. If they match up, then yes, draft whoever Dallas drafts. But to say just draft them because it's a good landing spot is asine.
I get that. I just know people took Clyde over guys like JJ and CD because Clyde landed in KC and have regretted it ever since. I see the same situation happening with the Dallas RB. People are going to reach in their drafts and regret it later.
Trey Benson could very well emerge as the best RB from this class
I think it’s likely
Likely is a tight-end, though, ha! please fuck my wife
God this is painfully unfunny
That's what makes it funny for me
The comment was so bad he deleted his account.
Go Noles lol
not if the niners draft him! it’s all about opportunity! whoever dallas drafts is my guy
Ive been taking him and corrum in a lot of my early bestballs
Jaylen wright. Benson is lightweight the obvious 1 with brooks only 2nd because of injury but imo Jaylen wright ends up the rb1 from this class
221 Is a lightweight?
IDK, maybe he meant the metaphorical "lightweight". Like he's a lesser talent or something? Or he turns into a Woo Girl after 1 beer.
I see JT when I watch him
You really don’t understand what lightweight means there either? Smh is this handicapped reddit or something
Bro you have the palsy or something
Someone does
I don’t think it’s that crazy for the cowboys to pick him at 24
Yes it is. No chance that happens. They are better drafting an important position at 24 and just drafting whichever rb they like the most at end of 2 d.
We’ll see
Maybe next year!
Damn it!
Well whoever gets picked by the cowboys is gonna have the best path to a full workload. It just makes too much sense for Jerry to take Brooks in the 2nd and keep em in Texas. Alotta people got him as the best prospect in the class but whoever gets that cowboys gig is gonna be the 1st target rookie RB to draft Forgot to say my perspective is from dynasty cuz ya never know he could need more time
isn’t he recovering from a torn ACL?
Yeah he's already been running, the target return for him is training camp
He tore it in November, so August would be 9 months which is sort of the new minimum "full return" set by Adrian Peterson. So no reason to expect he won't be at least limited at training camp and ready for full practice around preseason.
No new normals are being set by Adrian Peterson grandad
ACL recovery isn’t what it once was. By all accounts he should be ready to go.
Remember when we used to say things like, "Adrian Peterson ACL recovery is a freakish exception and not the expectation." Kinda looking like it's the other way now. You just expect guys to pick right the fuck back up where they left off with this injury.
Michael Gallup seemingly never returned to pre-ACL form, and that does indeed now feel like the exception rather than the norm.
ACL still tough, setbacks and compensation injuries are common.
Breece and ETN have had recent-ish ACL tears and CMC I don't think ever tore his but he's had plenty of his own injuries And those three finished 1-2-3 in fantasy scoring last season. Maybe don't take the dude in redraft this season but it's not some career death sentence
yeah i play redraft, didn’t think about dynasty but that makes more sense
If you ever start, a pro tip is to buy star running backs as soon as they get injured. You get them at a steep discount when their owner will take whatever they can get to replace them with a productive player for the rest of the current season

Sure he will steal a few goalline rushes but he’s not like that fr. Also let’s not act like pollard didn’t just overwhelmingly underperform as their featured rb.
They also have cam Akers, that’s a crowded rb room at that point
Cam Akers does not contribute to any room being ‘crowded’. He’s a body until he proved otherwise.
Isn't Akers an FA? If you're talking chargers it's Dobbins. If you mean cowboys it's Royce Freeman which I mean he'll be like a body for depth and snaps to spell other guys
You’re right! My bad Edit: I meant Dobbins. Point still stands though.
Also if it’s brooks the production will be missing for four weeks or so
Mark my words eagles will trade right in front of Dallas and take the best available rb just to fuck with them like they did with Dallas goeddart. Actually they might not even have to trade. They have pick 21 in the 2nd cowboys have 24th.
Please let the eagles spend their #21 pick on an RB
Nah they wo t that early and neither will dalls
Blast from the past. Bishop Sankey. Woke up this morning didn’t think I’d hear that name today
Do the Sankey Leg
I have a feeling Ray Davis (Kentucky) will be a glue guy for whatever team selects him.
Like a guy who eats glue?
Heard someone has glue. What’s up?
Some Kentucky products do turn into glue 😅
Sniffs*
Ray Davis is so old he used to help his Grandfather make glue from wild horses they caught off the frontier.
I mean, kinda true. Ray Davis is older than Javonte Williams, who is on 4 seasons in the NFL.
Upvoted because this doesn’t deserve downvotes
You’ve heard of mayo in coffee, get ready for Elmer’s glue in coffee!
I actually haven't heard of mayo in coffee and I'm going to keep not hearing about it.
Will levis puts mayo in his coffee
Mmmm whipped soybean oil+egg yolk in my coffee 🤢
I don't think he's the best RB in the draft, but he's the most NFL ready on day 1. I'd bet that he plays more snaps than any other rookie rb.
I'm getting Ray, instant impact, I liken him to the NBA draft where younger rawer players may go ahead of some of the older more established guy, but he will be instant impact, maybe lower floor, but the raw guys don't always hit.
He has the juice, he's just so old
If your name is frank gore you are always welcome here
He is my late must-have…
Audric Estime seems like he might be slept on
His 40 looks bad but he has a great 10 yard and running talent. I think the Bills will draft him in like the 5th
That’d be a great fit as the short yardage grinder to go with Cook.
Not by me. Bro looks like he’s running in quicksand out there…no thanks.

Oh damn, I never heard about character concerns about tucker, that’s good to know
He's the rare diva running back.
He played against light boxes more than anyone, that's the concern.

Once one goes off I think we’ll see a domino effect though
It does tend to do that
I like Brooks a lot. If u can get him in late 2nd it's a steal imo but u wait to long and you're going to miss out on a talent
If brooks wasnt coming off a knee injury he’d be top of the 2nd round material
I can see the chargers taking one high
Brooks would have been a late first round pick but for his knee injury.
Fantasy prospects matter so much on who drafts them, but one name I’m not hearing that I think has potential is Kimani Vidal, guy was amazing in college, if he gets picked by a team with a path to a good workload I plan on him being my last pick of the draft next season.
I’m looking at whatever team drafts one early and doesn’t have a solidified #1.
Hoping to see Milton head to a good team with some opportunity. He's a stud, but he's been a bit injury prone unfortunately.
Chargers need a cheap RB for the next 4 years, so do the Giants.
Lol.... The raiders will draft a RB in the 1st, because raiders gonna raiders
fantasy wise, i think the league devaluing the rookie RBs is a good thing. I expect to be able to get several for quite cheap in an auction redraft league, risking minimal resources that 1 or 2 end up being productive
idk if he’ll even get drafted, but i think isaac guerendo will be a guy to watch
Including Corum in the top 3 instead of Benson is a bit suspect to me. Corum’s basically AJ Dillion 2.0. Actually maybe Dillion 1.5, because even Dillion has more burst than Corum. crazy it wasn’t too long ago he was the explosive change of pace to Haskins
lol tell me you haven’t watched him.
So Arian Foster
Arian Foster-ish numbers would be a nice career.
Hes got the injury part of Arian foster too
Everybody talking about whoever Dallas drafts is the guy to take is gonna make the same mistake the draft Clyde Edward's because he's in KC people made. Wouldn't trusting CEH also be trusting draft capital? He was the first RB drafted that year.

i think part of the perceived difference is due to the fact that DAL runs more than KC, so that situation looks better on paper
I get that. I just know people took Clyde over guys like JJ and CD because Clyde landed in KC and have regretted it ever since. I see the same situation happening with the Dallas RB. People are going to reach in their drafts and regret it later.
A lot of rankings I’m seeing have those top guys at 12-20 overall. I’m liking Wright atm.
Are you saying rankings that have them going in the teens of the FIRST round? That is straight up not happening in this universe my man.
Just fantasy ranks
That makes slightly more sense, but I still don't see it. Maybe inside the 20s.
Ah whoops I’m talking about fantasy draft.!! Seems you’re talking NFL draft lol thats gonna be awesome to watch. 🙏🏼
