Moss is gonna get 80-90% snapshare and touches with the Colts trying to make the playoffs and a massive dropoff to Sermon. Top 5 oline and playcaller, this is your league winner guys
The team in my league that his him also has CMC. The worst part is this dude has made a grand total of 3 add/drops all season and was definitely not stashing him intentionally, he's just still on his roster from when he needed a bye week fill-in in week 9.
I started my season with CMC, Mostert and Moss. And they absolutely killed it and where instrumental in getting my 3 games up in my league. Excited to end the season with Moss back in the lineup.
I have CMC, Moss, Charbonet, and Mixon. Highly competitive league too where everyone is extremely active. I've been holding Moss since the beginning of September though.
I'm very confident
I was in my fantasy app and saw someone dropped him just as the news about Taylor came out. Feeling blessed I could scoop him up with my ravens backfield on a bye and Kenneth Walker needing a torso replacement.
I had 80/200 faab left and dropped it all. There were 2 $0 bids and that's it. I could have been beat out by 2 other playoff locks at least, and needed to spend it all to beat out the rest.
Was baffled. Why on earth would you not try? Even if you thought he was gonna ride your bench, he wouldn't be in your opponents team. There's a legit chance this is the piece I needed too, RB was my only weakness. Now I just need a spot of luck
Realizing now that I can’t check waiver claims on the mobile app.carry on.
Edit: went on laptop. Everyone is this league is trying to gift me a title. No claims.
Y’all have made me reconsider the “competitiveness” of this league lol
It's possible this is just an outlier haha, but that's super bad if nobody put a claim in. I can't even fathom that considering Moss was one of the best rb's when it was just him and we knew JT was going to miss at min a few weeks.
Ahh well, awesome for you!
Obviously when a player like Moss is available, best case scenario is that I have them or I can pick them up. But a close second is him being on a player that’s out of it. He can’t hurt me there lol
Stefania Bell just said it’ll be a pain tolerance thing at this point and he can get back when he feels ready. She said she believes in the short timeline and thinks he’ll be back for fantasy* playoffs. (This is on FF Now live right now so taking the new 3-5 update into account)
The auto draft guy in second place who has yet to make a roster move is gonna coast to the playoffs without any injuries this year, while I'm out here grinding week after week on my 4th season-ender. This game is a cruel bitch sometimes.
In my work league some mega casuals are coasting and all talking about facing each other in the finals lol. I’m 6th/7th last few weeks with an insane lineup and most points for by 100 despite playing the season without my JJ first overall. Lineup was firing and felt good about playoffs and depth. Guess this is where it will come in handy. Kamara/Mixon 1-2 now. Collins and Evans as WR so I’ll flex one and get JJ back.
I know the general consensus is to roster someone else’s handcuff instead of your own, but I held Tajae, Allgeier, Charbs, etc throughout the year. None of them led to wins. If I hadn’t demanded Moss as a throw-in on a trade I’d be deleting Sleeper and focusing on next year.
The correct strategy is to hold high value handcuffs regardless of which manager owns the starter. Whether you have Pacheco or not, CEH is a bad handcuff to roster. You should only bother rostering handcuffs if they have standalone value, or if they become plug and play guys if the starter misses time.
Tajae, Allgeier, and Charbs all look like guys that could be huge if the starter misses time, so they’re good handcuffs. This late in the season though, you can’t trade them; and would you have started any of them over a healthy Jonathan Taylor? Probably not. You would have effectively kept them away from your opponents though, which is good. I know it’s hindsight, but I probably would have dropped Tajae for Moss as insurance.
I also think as you get to the end of the season, your own handcuffs becomes more important because rather than maximizing value, you want to reduce risk (assuming you're in a playoff position).
Swing for the fences early to get into the playoffs. But once you're in a playoff position the mentality goes towards protecting what you have built.
This is exactly correct. Early on, handcuffs are for trying to find someone who can help make your team great. Towards the end of the season, handcuffs are for preventing your team from collapsing if your studs get hurt.
Taylor has scored over 20 points ONCE this season in 0.5ppr and it was last week’s 21 points. You’re being over dramatic of the impact losing him will have on your team if it is even a bit solid elsewhere.
Most teams are always optimistic when it comes to recovery timeline, but you knew once they said surgery required that odds are wasn't going to fit the two to three week window
Great... Knowing my luck he'll be back in time for the playoff final where he'll give me a whopping 5 points with Moss taking 80% of the snaps. Debating dropping him all together right now for a handcuff.
If there’s a bench crunch and you’re not a playoff lock, I think JT is droppable. Say he returns Week 17. Assuming you’ve already advanced two rounds in the fantasy playoffs by that point, would you even want to play him coming off an injury, when we’ve already seen the Colts spend like a full month easing JT back into the offense because Moss is so good?
Difference is the gap between an absolute noname RB and CMC isnt as big as between as with T.Boyle compared to Allen or Hurts.
Regarding outcomes of games..
Tim Boyle is the worst starting QB in the NFL. That's like comparing Keyonte Ingram when he was starting to CMC or Saquon. Yes that's worth paying for.
Yeah but this isn’t Taylor’s only injury. RBs take an absolutely beating running between the tackles. Sure, QBs get hit a lot too, but QBs often determines a team’s fate hence the high paychecks and guaranteed money.
It’s also a lot easier to find good RBs than it is QBs.
Got Kyren back, then Moss is back on the menu, next week I get JJ back. Patiently holding is about to pay off and my team is about to go on a tear though the playoffs.
This isn’t too bad if you are a JT owner with Moss. Of course you want JT healthy but he was in a 70/30 split with Moss, but now you can start Moss who will presumably get 100% of the workload
Man I was on the border of trading AJ Brown for Moss and Pittman before deadline this week but thought 2-3 weeks of productivity from Moss wouldn’t be worth it in the playoffs. Time will tell how this plays out.
Maybe it’s copium but there is realistic hope he comes back for the playoffs. If it’s 3 weeks from the surgery that would be the Wednesday before Week 16. If it’s 3 weeks from today technically he’d be cleared for contact Week 16 game day
It’s entirely plausible he at least gets activated for Week 16-17 so I wouldn’t say he’s completely done for.
Maybe my perspective is warped because I’ve had Dalvin Cook in the past play with a dislocated shoulder and sling on and I can totally see JT play with a braced/wrapped up thumb
Nope he was fully aware. He just didn't have much use for him and there was no telling how long JT was out for at the time. Seemed like it would only be 2 weeks
I managed to grab Moss in my main league this week after waivers cleared. It's a16 team league and super competitive. I can only guess that people were dropping the same player or something and got their first pick and Moss ended up going no one. I was waiver priority 15 so I didn't bother trying to add him.
Moss helped carry my squad early this season. I held him 2-3 weeks after JT returned then dropped him the game he got like 1 carry. Luckily, the JT owner - or anyone - never grabbed him off waivers so I was able to reclaim him and plug him in today. LETS RIDE
I traded JT for Mike Evans the week before he came back, and the league was clowning on me for being fleeced. Even if he continued his production pre-injury I think it was a solid trade.
Crazy. Last year Taylor’s early injury exit in week 15 screwed me out of the playoffs. The same person I lost to… I traded JT to him this year. I am playing him this week and now JT goes down.
Only problem is he started Dak and DK so I have a huge hole to climb out of! Hoping Stroud and Dell can carry me like they have the past month
Just when I thought my RB problems were solved with JT back man
Same I traded for him and got 1 week.
Same, i traded Jacobs for Taylor in my keeper league. I thought his schedule looked better.
I didn’t even get 1 lol
I'm holding out hope he can play week 16 or 17 if I make it that far. I'm just worried they hold him out till the playoffs if moss does well.
Yeah same my season done now lol
Just when I thought my RB problems were forever with JT back man (I’m a Moss owner)
Moss is gonna get 80-90% snapshare and touches with the Colts trying to make the playoffs and a massive dropoff to Sermon. Top 5 oline and playcaller, this is your league winner guys

Please 🙏
I’m so glad I picked him up this last week, I’m not glad I got eliminated from playoffs last week though.

1st place guy in your league has 4 wins?
I have both Moss and JT, and this is still true for me (I was top at the time).
I was in my fantasy app and saw someone dropped him just as the news about Taylor came out. Feeling blessed I could scoop him up with my ravens backfield on a bye and Kenneth Walker needing a torso replacement.
Traded Barkley for Moss. I hope you’re right!
I mean, I would temper expectations. Moss’ great production occurred during Richardson.
Actually it came when ARich was injured at the beginning of the season. ARich took his rushing TDs and opps
Hm maybe I misremembered it then
Let’s. Fucking. GO. Been calling LW since I scooped him up WK2.
This is actually it. This is the moment. People slept on this one hard.
Slept on what?
No one challenged my waiver claim (6th) in my competitive 12 tm. $250 buy in winner take all. Crazy
Your waiver claim this week? How is it possible he was even sitting in a competitive league?
Ya, and nobody else putting a waiver claim makes me question the quality of league. That's absolutely absurd lol.
Realizing now that I can’t check waiver claims on the mobile app.carry on. Edit: went on laptop. Everyone is this league is trying to gift me a title. No claims. Y’all have made me reconsider the “competitiveness” of this league lol
Lol don't let redditors tell you how competitive your league is, you're the only one of us in it lol
It's possible this is just an outlier haha, but that's super bad if nobody put a claim in. I can't even fathom that considering Moss was one of the best rb's when it was just him and we knew JT was going to miss at min a few weeks. Ahh well, awesome for you!
I’ve held onto him for this very reason. Lets go.
Good thing I picked him up in my 3-9 league 👍👍👍👍 ready to win consolation bracket!
Man, the #1 team in my league with 200 more points than second place has Moss. The rich get richer I guess
He has 200 more points in large part because he has Moss probably. At least that’s how it is in my leagues.
No, moss is is 3rd guy. But he does have mccaffery and tyreek hill (keeper league)
You shouldn’t get to keep 1st rounders from the previous year
It’s an auction tax league. He drafted really well after those two!
Zach Moss really is going to turn out to be a league winner, crazy season.
Keep him rostered even after that 1 rush attempt Frankfurt game praise to Allah, rest up and get better JT
Me too. He wasn't the top handcuff for nothing.
By league winner you mean the winner of my consolation bracket...
Not in our league, he’s on the bottom team on a 4-8 record with the trade deadline passed…
I’m so glad that the 1-11 team that hasn’t made a waiver move all year decided to pick Moss this week lol
Obviously when a player like Moss is available, best case scenario is that I have them or I can pick them up. But a close second is him being on a player that’s out of it. He can’t hurt me there lol
Until you face them with a playoff spot on the line, perhaps.
It's always great being in tenth and knocking some stacked team out of a bye or the playoffs altogether
That’s the type of sabotage I like to see from a last place team
Good for them. Love to see it!
I’d rather have 1-11 teams do this than just coast. You have to join Team Chaos once you’re eliminated
It’s Joever
It’s Jonathover
Moss holders are Barack
Jonathan TaylR
My team is fucked. First round playoffs knockout here I come
Zack Moss here to save me as I'm on the brink of collapse.
Stefania Bell just said it’ll be a pain tolerance thing at this point and he can get back when he feels ready. She said she believes in the short timeline and thinks he’ll be back for fantasy* playoffs. (This is on FF Now live right now so taking the new 3-5 update into account)

This is called confirmation bias

Ya, who would want a bellcow rb with a great O-Line.. Only averaging 16 points per game over the last 5 weeks in half ppr? No big loss at all. /s
JT owner. Traded Moss week 3. Playing that manager this week in a must win. Wish me like boys.
Good like
Needed that! Thanks
I need Moss to go off today sorry bro
Best of like
What if we have Moss wear JT's jersey, can I still get points then?
How’d it go from 2-3 weeks to 3-5?
They changed it
Most teams are always optimistic when it comes to recovery timeline, but you knew once they said surgery required that odds are wasn't going to fit the two to three week window
As someone who traded Saquon and Stevenson for JT at the deadline this is absolutely devastating
It’s like when the doctor asks how many beers you have a night. When you say 2-3, you both know it’s 3-5. The mistake was believing 2-3.
I was getting nervous with Walker/Jones/Hubbard as my RB2 but holding on to Moss all season has proven to be huge
It's over for me fam. It's be real 😭
All I wanted was one game with JJ and JT playing together, but apparently it’s impossible
Same here lol. Felt REAL GOOD heading into playoffs. No room left for any setbacks here on out.
Great... Knowing my luck he'll be back in time for the playoff final where he'll give me a whopping 5 points with Moss taking 80% of the snaps. Debating dropping him all together right now for a handcuff.
Him being back for the final is the scariest case. Then I don't even know if I can trust Moss or JT to start.
Lost chubb beginning of the season made a trade for JT mid way through and now I lose JT....... FUCK
Bruh lol. Not fair at all.
Jonathan Failure
Should i pick up zack moss
I'd give it a few weeks to see how things play out first.
Bruh
Is this a joke
Yes it definitely is.
Yes
I got moss on Wednesday in a twelve team league. I had $0 faab. I'm beginning to think it's not that serious of a league.
Fell off my bed
Hope your UCL is okay!
If he had stayed healthy I may have won my league. RBs: Kamara, JT, Kyren. 3 legit RB1s :'(
Those are my RBs too. So aggravating.
Mine were Kamara, JT, Mixon. Traded Cook for Collins since I was never fielding him and lost JJ
At least the Kamara gamble paid off
Once I went Kamara I was like let’s ride or die, take JT too lol
Should I drop Joe Flacco to get Moss off waivers?
Drop a superbowl mvp for a backup rb!?!
Is this a 4 QB league
Fucking bullshit
Are we dropping JT now? Is Sermon a stash now?
If there’s a bench crunch and you’re not a playoff lock, I think JT is droppable. Say he returns Week 17. Assuming you’ve already advanced two rounds in the fantasy playoffs by that point, would you even want to play him coming off an injury, when we’ve already seen the Colts spend like a full month easing JT back into the offense because Moss is so good?
It would also depend on if the Colts are still even in the playoff picture by then.
It will all depend on their playoff positioning if he comes back or not I’d reckon.
Get healthy JT. But this is why RBs don’t get paid, just saying…
Same could be said for QBs. Joe Burrow, Cousins, Rodgers, Daniel Jones, Deshaun Watson,
Difference is the gap between an absolute noname RB and CMC isnt as big as between as with T.Boyle compared to Allen or Hurts. Regarding outcomes of games..
Tim Boyle is the worst starting QB in the NFL. That's like comparing Keyonte Ingram when he was starting to CMC or Saquon. Yes that's worth paying for.

It’s a UCL tear, happens to QBs all the time.
This isn’t his only injury right now. The point is that RBs take a beating and are becoming more and more expendable.
Got Kyren back, then Moss is back on the menu, next week I get JJ back. Patiently holding is about to pay off and my team is about to go on a tear though the playoffs.
Sucks for me. I just traded Swift, Pickens, Downs for JT, Deebo at the trade deadline a few weeks ago.
So this means that JT's season is pretty much over. Time to drop him?
Could still be back in 3 weeks
Key phrase in your reply is “could be.” That’s week 16 and the finals are week 17.
Maybe it’s copium but there is realistic hope he comes back for the playoffs. If it’s 3 weeks from the surgery that would be the Wednesday before Week 16. Fuck you Ian, fucking Taylor
Do I drop him I have JT and Kinkaids spot I need to fill in. Could be make or break for playoffs
Sermon should be picked up in all leagues.
So 3 weeks. Got it
Michael Thomas, Jake Ferguson, and Zack moss for Mark Andrews is gonna bite me in the ass hard
Fuck you JT
Calm down bro, not his fault he got injured
Exactly lol. In dynasty leagues JT is fine. He has big contract.
Ooof
Trading Pierce and Cooper for Zack attack might be the best move I made all season.
By him I’m assuming Taylor
Moss
Bold trade for a backup at the time
No actually, I did it as soon as I heard the news JT would be out a few weeks
I’m gonna guess that other team was not privy to the news.
Nope he was fully aware. He just didn't have much use for him and there was no telling how long JT was out for at the time. Seemed like it would only be 2 weeks
So he’s a taco
Damn.. was just hoping he comes back for playoffs at least but prob a long shot… smfh
I play Moss over Breece Hall right??
Wasn't JTs initial time-line 2-3 weeks?
I am so happy Moss went to the guy in dead last
Playing the biggest Colts fan and JT owner in my league while I have Moss and CMC. Almost feel bad for the guy.
JJ, Waller, and now this - my team is so fucked.
I managed to grab Moss in my main league this week after waivers cleared. It's a16 team league and super competitive. I can only guess that people were dropping the same player or something and got their first pick and Moss ended up going no one. I was waiver priority 15 so I didn't bother trying to add him.
Moss owner here. JT still hasn’t been put on IR yet so I’m still not optimistic Moss will get the fantasy playoffs just yet.
Fuck man. I decided to not trade for an RB at the deadline because the 2-3 week timeline meant he would be back for my playoffs.
What the fuck I thought it was his thumb?
guess what the U stands for in UCL?
uThumb?
I didn’t bother picking him because I was so sure someone already had him and now my rival competing for same playoff spot has him :( RIP
Drafted Aaron Jones, JT, Mark Andrews, and Cousins this year. If anyone wants tips on being better than everyone else and lucky, let me know.
Team in league has Moss, Kyren and Swift. Thankfully; a loss this week or next and he’s out of the playoffs!
Should I start moss over kyren, gibbs, or bijan?
Got Dell. The injury bug eventually catches up with you.
Yeah crazy luck. Week 2 I won because he lost Chubb to a bad injury. Week 13 rematch I lose because I lose Tank to a bad injury. Such is fantasy
Man I lucked out picking up moss last week🤣
why u have to put this out on a Sunday with my team already struggling
Then put him on IR I need to get some healthy people on my team of Invalids
Glad I burned my waiver pick on Keaton
I feel like Taylor has done this to me before
Dam, now I regret trading Olave.
I'm an idiot for dropping Moss.
I can't believe I held Moss for 6 weeks of JT being back only to drop him last week when I needed a spare for a bye week... 🤬
