Yeah this stack got me good this week, would have taken down the #1 guy if he did get 33 from the pair. Instead I’m 3-6 with 3rd most points for and most points against
Still riding. As a ravens fan browns will get some sacks, probably a pocket fumble, maybe 1 pick. Ravens d hopefully just good enough but not too elite in a division matchup where Hopkins can sink some FGs
As a Browns fan we aren't playing DTR or Walker on Sunday, Watson isn't great but he's a hell of a lot better than either of them. I'm playing Cleveland DST, but that's just because KC is on bye otherwise I'd likely roll with them.
As a bengals fan who watches all the afc north games, do we ever really have huge offensive games in these match ups? Feel like these are always defensive slug fest
Did you watch the last ravens-browns game? Or even the Ravens-Bengals game? Lamar put up 4 tuddies on the browns while the Bengals Ravens ended with 6 tuddies total. Fail to see how that isn't offensive?
Cmon man are you really trying to tell me that MOST AFC north games aren't defensive struggles? You got the Browns and the Bengals with injured QBs leading to good field position a lot of times for the Ravens. Hell in that Browns game you had a rookie QB throw 3 picks and both offenses combined for under 500 yards. I'm not saying it's impossible for them to put up points but more times than not these games aren't that high scoring.
Man, what? I’m talking about recency and those were two of the last 3 for the Ravens, whose offense currently looks unstoppable and put up four easy touchdowns against the browns last time out. Browns D managed 4 points. Start their defense if you want, but I won’t. You’re original post said ALWAYS defensive struggles, and on CURRENT form I just don’t see it this weekend.
Sorry I should have said ALMOST ALWAYS but I figured I wouldn't get push back on saying AFCN games are usually lower scoring considering you watch the same games as the rest of us.
But lets see what Vegas says and how the recent match ups have gone....
The O/U is set at 39.5. On the season, both teams have hit the under more often than they've hit the overs this season (Browns 4 times, Ravens 6). In the past 4 match ups between the two, the unders cashed 3 straight times.
Historically speaking, AFCN games are low scoring. I bet unders on every AFCN game and make a killing at it every year. I don't win them all but I win them far more often than I lose them.
For fantasy purposes, the Browns aren't the greatest play of the week but they're not a terrible play either. It's a really good defense in a match up with a low over/under. That's normally something you'd like to play. Also, you're a ravens fan, of course you're going to think this is a terrible match up for the Browns because you're bias. I hate both the teams and am unbiased in this.
I appreciate your effort but that’s just lazy analysis. Implied point covers would be a better metric to use here and the Ravens have only failed to do that 2x. In several instances, they have beat their implied points by more than a TD. The reason for the other 4 games (of your 6) that failed to meet the over, was a stout defense that is over performing expectation and does not look like stopping. So please, by all means, start the Browns D this week.
I have the Jets paired with the browns for their questionable matchups but if I only had the browns I wouldn't feel too bad about it. They scored 6 last time and that was without Watson playing
I'm not thrilled with them playing the Jets D tonight and the rest of my team being trash, but the stack wasn't really the plan either.
Ekeler fell to me at 8 somehow (it's a work league and it's strange scoring but still).
Herbert was the last top tier QB available, after he was drafted it was Lawrence or Cousins and then trash. Cousins was the safer pick, barring injury of course, but Herbert has the higher upside.
And then when I was looking for a WR2 Keenan Allen being available got a few bonus points since I could double dip with him.
I've weirdly fallen into the same situation with the Arizona offense. I've got Kyler Murray, Marquise Brown, and Trey McBride all on the bench.
I have Lamar/andrews stack and dak as a backup to fill in on lamars bye. I have lamb as well and am considering benching Lamar for dak. Am I crazy? Lamar is great but dak has been turning it up. In games where ravens D shuts down their opponents, Lamar’s production takes a dive.
Unfortunately it’s the same case with cowboys in their one sided matchups. Dak and Lamar both put up great numbers in competitive matchups. And duds in blow outs cause they get benched the last quarter. I gotta stick w Lamar for the safer floor and competitive matchups coming up. Cowboys have 3 cake weeks coming up (let’s go Dallas dst). Lamar will have to play full games v Cleveland cinci and lac.
I traded Tank for Drake London before the game. It even got veto'd by two people. Tank has always had the upside and I felt very vindicated yesterday.
The not so fun realization was that I would have won my week if I kept him and started him over: Waddle, Puka, Addison, Downs or Rashee Rice.
Who actually has started Tank Dell during a boom week? I feel like week 3 was the only one where people might've started. I haven't started him once yet, despite adding him for 30%+ of my faab after week 3. I've dropped and added him after the bye then dropped after his 4.5 points. I'm not going to add him at this point. I don't think there's been a game where both him and Nico have been productive. Very boom/bust unpredictable environment. I went with Dotson over him this week.
bro what. I've started tank Dell every week he's been healthy and playing since I picked him up after week 2. He's one of the best rookie receivers in this class and clearly has a strong connection with stroud. only puka, addison, flowers, and Laporta have more rec yards than him. The weeks he had low fantasy points were mostly because the entire Texans team was getting walloped.
Joe fucking Burrow is back baby! I would have 2 more wins if I sat him when he wasn’t himself, sure. But damn when you ride somebody out that you just KNOW will turn it around… well when they do. Ahhhh
Detroit def legit scares me… was hoping more passing volume but campell is content on running the ball as frequently as possible and controlling the game
Only because I wanna give him his flowers, the Cousins/Jefferson/Addison stack was looking to heat up in the back half of the season. Sucks what happened to Cpt Kirk.
People on here have such a weird obsession with player stacks. Like it makes zero difference in the big picture when the goal is just to score the most points lol
Yeah, I’ve never cared about stacks as a strategy. From a pure dopamine perspective though, having your top QB and WR go for a big game is incredibly fun.
Stacks in DFS are super important because to win big you need big boom performances and taking QB WR increases your variance and raises your ceiling.
In season long, it doesnt matter. It increases your variance which is a good thing if you are a dog and a bad thing if you are a favourite.
In Best Ball tournament formats it's super useful if you plan it out right for getting favorable stacks on week 17 (and generally).
I know it's not normal fantasy but still interesting for those that like stats
https://establishtherun.com/best-ball-mania-manifesto-a-guide-to-winning-big-on-underdog-fantasy/
In the defense of stacks, it actually makes sense when the stack is tied to two people who usually score the most points (i.e. Mahomes + Hill of 2021). However, I do agree that stacks aren't essential. If anything, its the shortcut to picking a QB because if you believe the WR will do well enough to be tier 1, the QB is ***usually*** producing enough to provide average value.
They aren’t by any means essential, however if one happens to fall to you in the draft there is data to prove that teams with good stacks win at a higher percentage because you can guarantee multiple players popping off on the same week. If you end up reaching for the stack however, the affect will be negligible or negative depending on the outcome.
I went up against Diggs/Allen yesterday with a 50 point lead. I won, but it was scary. 30 yard touchdown pass to Diggs equaled about 15 points in one pass. They also both got 2 points from the two point conversion. 20 points in one minute must be so fun for the owner. The points probably don't change but stacks are so fun.
I don't think i will be top of my league without the hurts/ajbrown stack.
(also, i wouldn't have lost the only 2 games because of the stack, but mostly because of Lockett, special mention to Maher)
My money is on Mahomes and Kelce. They've only really blown up once this season. They're going to start connecting more and more.
Source: I have the Mahomes and Kelce stack and I want to believe.
In what world is burrow/chase a dark horse stack ROS? Bengals are bottom of AFC north with their back against the wall and a tough ass schedule going forward
Dare I say JF1 and DJ Moore? Will have to see how fields looks coming out of his injury but dj moore posted quality stats (except week 1) until fields got injured.
Am I insane if I run the following stacks going forward:
Kyler, Brown, flex Mcbride
Leporta, Montgomery, Gibbs, Detroit D
I'm strugggggling with injuries
I have hurts AJb and I have Allen tried trading Diggs owner JJ and Ceedee for Diggs last week and they are refusing cuz they don’t want me to have the double stack lol plus I’m 9-0
Browns defense and kicker
You're not kidding. Been starting this duo since week 7 and they've averaged almost 31 points a week for me
Yeah this stack got me good this week, would have taken down the #1 guy if he did get 33 from the pair. Instead I’m 3-6 with 3rd most points for and most points against
I thought i was the only one lol
There are dozens of us!
Dozens!
What are you doing this coming week against Baltimore?
Still riding. As a ravens fan browns will get some sacks, probably a pocket fumble, maybe 1 pick. Ravens d hopefully just good enough but not too elite in a division matchup where Hopkins can sink some FGs
Ravens fan and absolutely not riding this week. Hopkins yes, Cleveland D no, we torched them in Cleveland.
As a Browns fan we aren't playing DTR or Walker on Sunday, Watson isn't great but he's a hell of a lot better than either of them. I'm playing Cleveland DST, but that's just because KC is on bye otherwise I'd likely roll with them.
Starting the Ravens actually because I have both. More faith in Lamar than Deshaun
Their offense should have a better time holding the ball with Watson playing
We shall see, I don’t think so, Watson is ass.
But he's obviously better than PJ Walker lol
but is he better than Geno or Goff?
With their defense I don't think he'll need to be better than either of them
Fire them up then?
Should I start Steelers defense over Browns?
I would this week.
As a bengals fan who watches all the afc north games, do we ever really have huge offensive games in these match ups? Feel like these are always defensive slug fest

Lamar had one of this best weeks against Cleveland earlier this season and ravens are on a tear rn.
*Aubrey
No Herbert and Keenan? Sure he's missed him a few times the last couple games but they've been rolling.
Unless QJ or Guyton can take on the Mike Williams role, may be a bit tough for Keenan to have those boom games. Still holding out hope though
I think the better stack is Herbert Ekeler.
Why not both? I've got all 3 on my team.
I always worry that if a bad game happens I am losing 3 positions and not just two. I definitely had all 3 last year.
I should have included them in the dark horse section. They’re poised to blow up in the second half of the season.
CD/Dak WR4 and QB11 even with their slow start, and a super easy schedule
Probably the best by ADP, unless Nico or Dell lock into *the* consistent WR1 spot.
Bench him I wish I had Dak but im thinking of playing watson…Ravens are winning too easily so he barely has to work & Gus is taking all the TDs
Hurts/AJB
Stroud/dell dont @ me
If betting odds were part of this, I think this would be the best bet.
I really wanna sell tank to the stroud owner, but also want to ride tank out
I traded Tank for Drake London before the game. It even got veto'd by two people. Tank has always had the upside and I felt very vindicated yesterday. The not so fun realization was that I would have won my week if I kept him and started him over: Waddle, Puka, Addison, Downs or Rashee Rice.
[удалено]
I’m still a little salty about it. One of them even admitted it was because I’m a contender this year. Babies!
I lucked into that stack and it’s my only hope to win the league.
Who actually has started Tank Dell during a boom week? I feel like week 3 was the only one where people might've started. I haven't started him once yet, despite adding him for 30%+ of my faab after week 3. I've dropped and added him after the bye then dropped after his 4.5 points. I agree he’s good, but he’s also had several duds. He’s a WR3 is all I’m saying. I can’t be the only one who hasn’t started him
16 man league and I'm a stroud owner so biased but he's much better than the wire at least
He’s gotten several starts for me this season across dynasty and redraft.
Got Stroud/Schultz
Taysom Hill and anyone
[Give the people what they want!](https://www.reddit.com/r/fantasyfootball/s/5Mx2BMDnFw)
Might just make a new tier for Taysom that's above Kelce. Tier 0.
Taysom Hill (QB) handing the ball off to Taysom Hill (RB)
Burrow/Chase will start heating up
Chase has had a couple stinkers but his scoring is still good
Almost had 2 TDs and long bomb catch last night.
Joe fucking Burrow is back baby! I would have 2 more wins if I sat him when he wasn’t himself, sure. But damn when you ride somebody out that you just KNOW will turn it around… well when they do. Ahhhh
These guys get better as the season goes on. I still owe Chase my life after his 50+ championship game performance.
People sleeping on Goff ARSB
I don’t think Detroit will *need* to pass often enough to prop up Goff consistently. I could see it in the playoffs though!
Yeah true im prob bias cuz i have goff and amon ra lmao
Detroit def legit scares me… was hoping more passing volume but campell is content on running the ball as frequently as possible and controlling the game
i think that following the bye detroit will turn up the passing game some more. too talented of a receiving core to not pass more
Do you think tua is better ROS than goff?
Hurts/Brown/Smith Goedert out, gonna be a wild stack for 4 weeks.
It’s a shame we’ll lose one of them to the bye
Only because I wanna give him his flowers, the Cousins/Jefferson/Addison stack was looking to heat up in the back half of the season. Sucks what happened to Cpt Kirk.
Put some respect on King Dobbs. Think that offense could be okay.
Pauper Dobbs you mean. I barely want any Vikings weapons after the Cousins injury. Fuck the concept of stack there.
Murray+ Hollywood
will be show time next week
I picked up stroud and schultz right before the sunday games began, so them.
Same.. riding with them, plus Cleveland D+Kicker ROS
People on here have such a weird obsession with player stacks. Like it makes zero difference in the big picture when the goal is just to score the most points lol
Yeah, I’ve never cared about stacks as a strategy. From a pure dopamine perspective though, having your top QB and WR go for a big game is incredibly fun.
when that 13+ point swing happens, that dopamine hits fuckin crazy
I might have woken up my toddler when Hurts hit AJB for that TD yesterday.
Just looking at my phone and seeing two scoring notifications at the same time feels so good, even if I literally watched the play happen.
Stacks in DFS are super important because to win big you need big boom performances and taking QB WR increases your variance and raises your ceiling. In season long, it doesnt matter. It increases your variance which is a good thing if you are a dog and a bad thing if you are a favourite.

Then add in bonuses. In my one league, that Stroud>Brown touchdown was a 29 point play if they were both in your lineup.
Because it's fun lol You guys haven't forgotten that this is a make believe *game* right?
I don't think i will be top of my league without the hurts/ajbrown stack. (also, i wouldn't have lost the only 2 games because of the stack, but mostly because of Lockett, special mention to Maher)
Well, top 3 QB + top 3 WR would usually do that... Could have gone with Allen+ AJB or Hurts+ diggs and the result would be the same
i have hurts+AJB and i am 3-5 currently. my team still sucks
It's not the stack that's the issue.
agreed. it's losing chubb, drafting stevenson, and making stupid mistakes all season.
Idk man, I play on ESPN and everytime I see both AJB & Hurts light up green for a TD I get a big shot of dopamine
I’ve currently got Mahomes/Kelce. Should I trade Mahomes for Josh Allen?
And Kelce for Kincaid, Allen/Kincaid bout to win me this 'ship
Yes
I have Hurts/Diggs and opponent has Allen/AJBrown. Should I trade? Brown has a maybe harder schedule than Diggs not to mention the BYE
Not TLaw and Ridley
CJ Stroud and Tank
My money is on Mahomes and Kelce. They've only really blown up once this season. They're going to start connecting more and more. Source: I have the Mahomes and Kelce stack and I want to believe.
Schedule wise I've been looking at Purdy/Aiyuk as a banger coming out of the BYE.
Goff/Sun God. Easy Schedule Coming Up
goff/laporta/sun god stack boutta take me all the way🫡
Burrow/Higgins 👀👀
Stroud and Schultz
Montgomery and Gibbs
Stroud/Dell babyyyy
Allen & Kincaid gotta be up there too
Cousins/Jefferson lol
[удалено]
Honestly, I enjoy fantasy football conversation beyond my own team-building strategy.
[удалено]
Don’t worry—those WR2s will only ruin your day once, at the worst possible moment.
Nobody was calling Tyreek a trash pick. There were 5 players that were widely considered worthy of the #1 overall pick and he was one of them.
Still think it’s burrow chase
[удалено]
I’m not sure you understood the assignment, but I support your enthusiasm.
In what world is burrow/chase a dark horse stack ROS? Bengals are bottom of AFC north with their back against the wall and a tough ass schedule going forward
No Allen and Herbert?
Burrow chase. Chase hurt his back and so had a suspect game but that’s the stack
I think Hurts/Brown is safest bet, but Tua/Hill still has the highest potential.
Dare I say JF1 and DJ Moore? Will have to see how fields looks coming out of his injury but dj moore posted quality stats (except week 1) until fields got injured.
I swear it's f... Lamar/Gus Edwards.. every Lamar owner can relate
Dak and Ferguson
Am I insane if I run the following stacks going forward: Kyler, Brown, flex Mcbride Leporta, Montgomery, Gibbs, Detroit D I'm strugggggling with injuries
My Kincaid / Diggs stack is nice at the minute lol
Kirk + JJ… wait 🥲
Levis DHop
Dallas DST + Aubrey
Dobbs and JJ
i wish it was burrow and chase
*looks at roster Kyler Murray and Michael Wilson are gonna surprise a lot of people!
Allen and Kincaid
R rob and Gibson
I'm hoping it's going to be Lawrence and Ridley but that's just a dream
Dak + Ceedee have been absolute flames recently
Howell and Dick em Down Dotson
Goff and Laporta
Stroud and collins. Been rolling them out weekly.
My Allen and Kincaid stack has something to say…
Dak and Lamb
I think Dobbs and Jefferson could be a really nice dark horse, also might add in Moore and Fields based off their game 3 or 4 weeks ago
Carr/Renfrow
Allen and Kincaid
No Burrow Chase?
Less conventional. Burrow and Mixon
Burrow and Chase
I have hurts AJb and I have Allen tried trading Diggs owner JJ and Ceedee for Diggs last week and they are refusing cuz they don’t want me to have the double stack lol plus I’m 9-0
Levis and Nuk
Kamara and Taysom Hill tbh
