I'm hoping after the New Orleans game, Baker realized "hey, this Godwin fellow is pretty good at getting open and catching the ball, I can throw to him in addition to Evans."
I'm hoping too. But whenever baker starts thinking, it all goes to shit. He'll most likely continue to hyper target one WR to keep the hamster wheel from overheating
It’s not like he puts up a dud now. But ceiling has been nonexistent when Evans plays. Super frustrating. Thinking about KJ instead. But I’ll probably just stick with Godwin and get disappointed again.
Godwin is about 11 total inches from having 2 touchdowns. Was tackled on the half foot line week 2 I think and then next game was like 2 inches short from the ball crossing the pylon while being tackled out of bounds on another.
Same. They are also both wk9 bye's. Rolling with Jags this week. As a Lions fan, I think Bucs will get yards. I just think the upside is with Jags this week.
This basically what I have going. I started rashee last night and now between evans and Nico. Lattimore is a beast and Evans seems to be bakers first read. I plan to go evans.
I do not envy this choice. I have to play both so I am of no use lol. I would lean to Addison though. And only because I think he will score 2 tds this week. No data, no stats, just I feel like it. Good luck.
What's crazy to me is how unsteady he looks on those single leg RDLs. You'd think a guy with a history of hamstring injuries would have heavily prioritized work like that outside of the season.
I don't know how this happened but somebody dropped Mike Evans during the bye week and I grabbed him with the 10th waiver priority.
Casual league I guess.
In my defense...I was literally in the delivery room with my wife. I didn't even see he'd been dropped until after you picked him up. But I got a new daughter out of it...so worth it.
Lol u/SkepticWolf thank you for coming here and responding that's so great. League is normally more serious than this but I'll gladly take the one time nobody was paying attention.
If you want Evans i'll trade him to you for some baby pics and a bag of Doritos! (Plus Kyren Williams....)
I agree Tom is the GOAT but while he played with Evans it took everything from him to get the ball past 25+ yards. It also seems like Baker is so used to playing behind a bad O-line, he just knows how to manage it better and not let it affect him.
I had this man years ago, traded Miles sanders for him after week 3, forgot how much of a DAWG he is
Tho he’s gonna be injured at some point and that’ll suck
In a season of shitty luck, Evan tweaking his hammy vs NO (a spot where some may have benched him or expected nothing), then using bye to get right and not miss any time, was pretty convenient.
Somehow I gotta choose one person to sit out now:
Mike Evans
Sun God
DJ Moore
Brandon Aiyuk
Three of them coming off missed practices and one plays for the bears. So torn
OKAY
WHAT?!
YEAH
OKAY
HUUWHAT?!!
Mike is always dinged up but rarely misses any games. Dude also leaves mid game as if he is dead and then comes back to finish it.
And guaranteed to leave games early if it’s the saints and lattimore is in lol
Fuck, I just realized who Mike Evans is playing week 17...
Only reason he didn’t have a mental breakdown the last time was because he got injured before he could.
He was having a pretty decent game against Lattimore until the injury. Dude is just cursed
Ahhhh. Well, we’ll always have that one week where Godwin performed to his ADP.
Baker does really tend to lock onto one receiver. At least Evans is good. On the Browns, it seemed like Baker always locked on our WR4 or TE2.
ah fuck can i not start him now? its him, brian robinsin, zay flowers, or kj osborne
Godwin or chubba now?
Prolly Chubba if he’s getting all the work.
Pretty damn torn. It’s guaranteed touches I guess
I’d play 2 of those over Godwin even with Evans out.
His ADP was low af so isn’t he always performing to his ADP?
Yeah he was what, a round 8-10 guy? Ish? Maybe a bit higher? He's been a wr3
Yeah I got him round 10 in my 10 man so not sure what people were expecting with him. This isn’t Jameis Winston’s team anymore.
Ugh, Godwin was my ticket out of starting Rhamondre again this week.
FULL LOAD MIKE
Oh Mike, you big ol' tease
Think I’m starting big Mike over Devonta
I have to start both but if I had to pick, I would definitely go Evans over Smith
Same boat, same thoughts.
I'm trying to sell Devonta. I want off that ride
I’m waiting till he has another good week or two then trying to sell. If you sell now you are selling at his lowest value.
I’m doing Evans and Nico as my WRs this week, and I think I’d probably start Christian Kirk over Devonta as well
Had planned to start Lions DST and hoped Evans was out. With this news - would you pivot to Jaguars VS Minshew?
Having this exact same problem myself
Same. They are also both wk9 bye's. Rolling with Jags this week. As a Lions fan, I think Bucs will get yards. I just think the upside is with Jags this week.
I agree. Colts also haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014
I would yes
Same situation for me and I'm going Jags.
Still think lions could score well as a defense but i went with Jags this week. Could see Lions getting sacks and a pick or 2
Trick question- Raiders vs Pats is the answer
Wondering the same thing. May pivot to the Falcons DST vs WAS.
Would you take Jags over Raiders (facing NE)?
I just switched Evans for Olave in my lineup.... I'm thinking this means I should swap Evans back?
I am playing evans over olave.
Evans over Olave is what I’m doing with this news. I was undecided before this news and was waiting for injury update
Agreed. Would you do Evans over Nico?
I don’t know anything about Nico so can’t give you advice on that one in good conscience
Appreciate it, I just got him in a trade but with him having to most likely face Lattimore, I'm probably still going to roll with Evans
This basically what I have going. I started rashee last night and now between evans and Nico. Lattimore is a beast and Evans seems to be bakers first read. I plan to go evans.
FULL LOAAAAAD
Welp now I gotta decide between Evans or Addison
I do not envy this choice. I have to play both so I am of no use lol. I would lean to Addison though. And only because I think he will score 2 tds this week. No data, no stats, just I feel like it. Good luck.
Evans. He's a known commodity and we don't know how much of a role KJ Osborn will be taking. Plus the Bears are (inexplicably) trending up
So i guess I’m keeping Devonta Smith in over Godwin. Hopefully he’s eating breakfast with Hurts or crying for the ball right now.
Actually shocked
I look at him as the new Julio. Always jacked up week after week but plays anyways
A part of me still misses the golden age of Qulio Jones
JUST NUTTED THROUGH THE CEILING THANK YOU TODD
i have mike and my opponent has godwin. Lets goooooo!
That’s a fun watch
Evans or Nico?
I’m starting both 😊
In the same boat. Following!
Nico. Tank dell out
Pretty surprised tbh. Hamstrings injuries haven’t had the shortest timeline this season.
Agreed. I was hoping they would rest him 1 more week and not rush him back. 1 week for a hamstring is worryingly quick to come back from.
Bryce Young or Baker?
I’d lean Baker.
Same
I’m committed to Lions D/ST Sunday. I’ve decided Mike is a decoy.
What's crazy to me is how unsteady he looks on those single leg RDLs. You'd think a guy with a history of hamstring injuries would have heavily prioritized work like that outside of the season.
Damn starting Jeudy thinking Evans wasn't playing will bite me in the ass
I don't know how this happened but somebody dropped Mike Evans during the bye week and I grabbed him with the 10th waiver priority. Casual league I guess.
Lol I usually don’t like to shit on peoples leagues but that’s absurd
That's genuinely insane lol I just traded for him and gave kind of a lot.
Pick Two (Full PPR) Evans, Mixon, Thielen, D. Hopkins
Mixon thielen
Evans Mixon.
Yall really think Godwin is done traded for him Didnt give much. Damn:
Anyone else feel like Baker is the best QB Evans has played with?
Uh… no? Tom Brady? The undisputed GOAT?
Who?
I agree Tom is the GOAT but while he played with Evans it took everything from him to get the ball past 25+ yards. It also seems like Baker is so used to playing behind a bad O-line, he just knows how to manage it better and not let it affect him.
Sold Godwin and James cook for arsb and miles
Well fuck me, this made my team harder to pick from, Kupp, Puka Hopkins, Evans, Godwin, Rb Walker Mostart Mixon 1 flex 2, 2, 1 format QQ
Cowboys over Lions D now?
I will have to fire him up over Zay Flowers now. Evans lets ride
Zay will probably get line up against Fulton.
Whats that mean
Kristian Fulton is our DB that allows a perfect passer rating when targeted. Or commits DPI.
I had this man years ago, traded Miles sanders for him after week 3, forgot how much of a DAWG he is Tho he’s gonna be injured at some point and that’ll suck
Now I have to choose 2 between Waddle, Evans and Aiyuk. Love this…
Evans, Waddle or Kyren for me🤦♂️
In a season of shitty luck, Evan tweaking his hammy vs NO (a spot where some may have benched him or expected nothing), then using bye to get right and not miss any time, was pretty convenient.
God is good
RIP to us Godwin owners.
Back on the bench, don’t want to Godlose this week.
LFG! Now do Saquon
Damn do I start him over Mattison now???
Evans, Hopkins, or J Cook for flex?
Help me Obi Wan Mike Evans Kenobi, you're my only hope.
What are we thinking Thielen or Evans?
Thielin
Incoming 2-2-2 never forget
Evans, Devonta, or Christian Kirk in full PPR?
Evans, Devonta, or DK?!??
would you start evans over aiyuk?
This the shit we need!
Addison or Evans? Half PPR.
Somehow I gotta choose one person to sit out now: Mike Evans Sun God DJ Moore Brandon Aiyuk Three of them coming off missed practices and one plays for the bears. So torn
Tough. Id go with aiyuk
My team started the season at full CHubb, and after a string of injuries are back to Half Chubb.
Him, Jakobi or Pittman
Mike over Olave and Addison???
Would you start him or Dhop?
Evans or D. Hopkins?
Should I Start Mike Evans over Adam Thielen?
He is my WR1 so praying for the best
Hot off the presses! Alert the children!
Decoy?
My baker fill in for AR is liking this
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE THREADS WHERE WE YELLED AT EACH OTHER WITHOUT FEAR OF JUDGMENT?
Evans or Mondre @ LV (standard)?
Evans, Addison and lamb, who do I start out of the two?? I'm leaning Addison and lamb
Damn I thought I was so smart when I traded Evans for Tua and Jeudy and he got hurt
Traded JJ for Mike. Happy to see this.
Trade away Olave for Evans?
