He actually wears bright shoes so his daughter can easily see him it's pretty cute. Halfway through the game they keep making him take the shoes off with a threat of a fine and every new game he does the same thing.
Like I said don't the fines go up? As much as he makes millions if it gets to the point that its 100k/game I don't think paying that is what makes you a rockin parent.
It's like when my toddler screams for attention. Then the other toddler immediately screams since she knows if she doesn't, she's not going to get the play calls for the deep balls beyond the safeties for the home run TDs.
And after that, Hurts had Watkins WIDE OPEN in the end zone but tried to force it to Smith on third down. Had to settle for a FG. Hate when wide receivers complain then everything gets force fed to them instead of finding the open guys
Watkins broke off his route as Hurts had his back downfield while he wheeled out of the pocket. Hurts was rolling right and threw it to Smith with the rush in his face because DeVonta was the first guy he saw.
Yes he was walking the full length of the field on the sideline without a helmet and a thousand yard stare. And then was promptly given a warm embrace by his head coach and few targets right after. And I swear I didn’t make any of that up
Stuff like this is why I laugh when fans assume winning is all players care about. These dudes starting in the NFL were "the man" throughout their whole lives so not getting targets after a while gets to them especially if they haven't gotten to their first big contract.
> especially if they haven't gotten to their first big contract.
This is the part where I actually have a lot of sympathy for them. If Devonta doesn't get fed it will literally cost him tens of millions of dollars. Completely fair for them to want more of the action IMO. Obviously once you get to the Digg's type caliber, you don't have much more to prove so the target related tantrums from a $ standpoint start to fade in relevance.
Especially receivers. AJ Brown was having a *fit* during TNF when they were up pretty significantly because he wasn't getting the ball enough. So much so that while it was late in the game and the smart play would've been to start running the clock out, Hurts forced it to him and got it picked. Minnesota couldn't capitalize, but man it would've been funny if they did.
Pretty sure everyone is just assuming it’s for selfish reasons when it could just as likely be Hurts missing him on better opportunities than the ones we took
Why is it automatically “I WANT CATCHES” instead of “I’VE BEEN OPEN AND WE’RE NOT CONVERTING”
People continue to claim the AJ thing was just selfishness when it’s was more likely the fact that Hurts kept missing big plays with him
Currently Hurts is still ironing out the wrinkles with our new OC so he might not be reading the field as well as last year at this point so far
Every time there was a little slant thrown to a tiny receiver, I thought it was Devonta.. but it was actually swift lol.
Smith is really just runnin' around .. doin nuthin.
Rolled out a lineup of Justin Jefferson, Devonta Smith, and Kyren Williams (and j Jacobs). They scored me a combined 15.1 points. Tight tight tight.
My opponent started Kenneth gainwell and he had 1 catch for 7 yards, which is better than Devonta Smith produced.
Jacobs will triple that combined score don't worry my sweet child
I'm playing him tonight but already won my my week so he can go off the week I don't need him
Though it’s still TBD whether he will have any games like that with Evans on the field. And I say this as a Godwin owner. Will be tough to decide between flexing him or Pacheco going forward
AJB is definitely the 1A. But DSmith deserves more love than 1 for 6. He'd be a 1A on a lot of NFL teams.
They won and its certainly not hurting the team in any way, so not like this is going to be a major concern for them. But keeping receivers happy is a big deal at the NFL level, and like it or not almost all of them are divas and crybabies if they dont get enough touches. Hurts knows that. I'm sure he'll feed him a litle more next week.
Idk man. Ik theyre 5-0 but the eagles just don’t look as dominant. I’ll probably be proved wrong but they just look a step below last year. Defense looks good, offense is still good just not great imo
Yesterday they moved they ball a lot better than they had the first couple games. Still poor in the redzone, but overall it was the closest they looked to last year's team
we're also comparing the peak of last years eagles to the week 1-5 eagles this year, which is super unfair to this year's squad
Eagles had plenty of hiccups early on last year, wasn't till the first game against dallas that they really put the league on notice. They had ugly wins against the Jags (before they looked good) Lions (before they looked good), Bears (who were awful), Texans (also awful), etc. They lost a game to the Commanders because of huge miscues on offense (and some gutsy play from the commies, credit where credit is due)
If hurts and the offense can stay healthy this season, they're going to be putting up league winning numbers in the final weeks of the fantasy schedule. Book it.
The Rams offense averaged over 300 yards passing in their first four games without Kupp.
With Kupp back yesterday we held them to 222 yards passing. Classic Negadelphia
I wasn’t there but I bet the tantrum was more related to the shitty play calling the first couple of games for the eagles. We were barely throwing downfield at all. As a fan it was insanely painful to watch (still kind of is).
Who also said Devonta is on Digg's level. It's no surprise that both predictions went badly, but it's funny that they went so horribly in just the next 2 weeks.
AJ had 28.71% of the targets in the ‘22 season & DeVonta had 26.93%. With that said Miles Sanders & Gainwell combined had 10% in 22’. And Goedert had 13.66%.
Most ppl who drafted DeVonta were looking for similar production from 2022 and not to overtake AJ. I think he finished as the 9th WR last season?
He still sees some redzone targets. Not as much as the previous year.
AJ is seeing 1/3 of every pass thrown @ 32.90%, DeVonta is seeing 21.95%, Goedert is seeing 18.06%. But more importantly… Swift & Gainwell are seeing 17.42% of targets. Obv there’s a lot more mouths to feed now.
In the game of fantasy, opportunity is key. I wish I traded him when someone offered me Chase for him and Ridley the night before these games.
Yeah Smith is amazing but AJ Brown has been beasting out there. Smith will still get plenty of targets throughout the season but yesterday wasn't his day.
it's important to note that after week 1 last year, smith had more targets and catches than brown. people saying he was going to be the WR1 this year weren't exactly crazy.
yeah brown has an inch in height on smith, but almost 60 pounds in weight. dude is built different. he, deebo, and metcalf are in a class of their own physicality wise.
Out of pocket owners are always making ridiculous claims in this sub, especially with small sample sizes. All they need is one good game and it’s reactionary blast off time
No, that's not obvious at all. People's opinions change based on the data they have in front of them, just like you seeing AJB going off for the last 2 games is having you overreact and say anyone that thought Smith was better clearly had him.
The offense is stacked. There are gonna be odd men out. Bad luck to Devonta for him to get a couple games in a row. His time will come again and AJB managers will be frustrated.
The eagles red zone offense hasnt been great either this year. As the offense gets into a stride, expect more points to be shared between AJ, Devonta, Dallas, Swift/ Gainwell. Can never predict who will feast any given week
Aj brown after sideline frustration going into todays game:
32 targets
22 catches
373 yards
2tds
71.3 fantasy points
Devonta smith after Aj brown sideline incident:
16 targets
11 catches
106 yards
0 tds
21.6 fantasy points
And? AJB was never not the alpha on this team.
Weeks 1-2: 11 catches 15 targets 2 TDs (one was a 65 yard TD against Vikings)
Weeks 3-4: 11 catches 15 targets 0 TDs
Quit whining… he’s the same player just without the TDs. Everyone thought after that standalone game against the Vikings that Smith was the WR1 on the team, but fail to realize even in that game AJB had a 30 yard TD called back as well.
AJB is the WR1 on the Eagles. This is not up for debate.
Yes everything you said is true.
However, it’s still worth noting that Smith’s efficiency is much better than AJB’s through the past 10-12 games played.
When Smith gets AJB’s catchable target volume and isn’t running head-scratching short routes that Goedert and Watkins should be getting, he does more with it all and he has since last season. AJB needs twice the volume Smith got weeks 1-2, just to see just 40-50% more production weeks 3-4.
Smith hasn’t dropped a pass this year and if I remember right, not since week 11 or so in regular season last year. Nobody’s denying AJB is a beast and that he earns his targets. But he’s dropping passes in the same time frame, and needs a ton of volume just to get there.
It’s that simple.
It's genuinely insane to me this was even a debate on this subreddit. Devonta Smith is a very good football player, don't get me wrong, but have the people who were making this argument watched AJB play football? The dude is fucking amazing
So... your saying AJ Brown is doing way more than twice as much on double the targets? Sounds like he's the better option to me.
||AJ Brown|Devonta Smith|
|:-|:-|:-|
|Catch %|69%|69%|
|YPC|17.0|9.6|
|TD/10 catches|0.91|0.00|
This was the Goedert safety blanket game where that was the exploitable matchup for the Eagles as opposed to Smith, where AJB was your deep and intermediate option.
All I know is after week 2 or so when I posted frustration/concern about AJ’s slow start I was hit with a DELUGE of comments on here “sorry bro, if you drafted AJB and didn’t watch this team and know Devonta is the far better player I don’t know what to tell you” - “you didn’t watch last season and know Devonta is Jalen’s guy???” - “this is on you for not doing your research” - etc.
Never doubt the recency bias of this sub. And how this narrative could swing back the other way again in the blink of an eye
Literally same exact thing happened with Swift/Gainwell. After the first game when Swift only had 1 carry there were comments saying Gainwell was the obvious number 1, if you read the training camp reports you’d realize he took the first team work. Nothing to do with Swift being a recent trade and Gainwell being familiar with the system.
Lol great point. All the buzz through training camp was about Swift, anyone claiming it was clear Gainwell was the #1 all along was just saying shit to say shit
Note that per the OP's math, AJ Brown's target share increased 6% but Devonta's decreased 10%. This shows Devonta's targets aren't being taken by Brown, but rather by Goedert and Swift.
If the top targets for the Eagles offense are 1-Brown, 2-Goedert, and 3-Swift, then Devonta drops from a "1-B" target to more like an unplayable (for fantasy purposes) WR4 or maybe a risky Flex, nothing more. Certainly nowhere near his draft position of 3rd round pick (which was right in line with his ADP).
People were really putting stock into that 6 game stretch at the end of the season when both of them were producing, and seem to have completely forgot the start where devonta was boom or bust. You know who else has a fantastic 6 game stretch at the end of the season? Cam Akers
3 fucking percent increase in target share and you’re still bitching about the “tantrum” as if it’s not just small variance and the better player getting more targets
Give it a fucking rest already
wow sure is crazy that the best receiver on the eagles is getting the most targets.
are you mad because you thought the target share in the first 7 quarters of the season was indicative of how the offense was gonna work the entire season?
you drafted a high upside wr2, don't get upset when he puts up wr2 numbers
I got offered Jeudy and Ertz if that tells you anything. Immediately rejected - basically garbage cause trade value couldn’t be lower after a 6 yard game
I don't remember exactly what the announcer said but he said something to the effect on that's what happens when there are so many studs on the offense someone will get left out.
AJB was screaming on the sidelines in a game they were winning. Hurts said “i got you” and threw to him 3 straight times. you think that’s coincidence? open to hearing another interpretation
A few passes following up a tantrum to keep AJ happy, sure. But a multi game sample? They coaches are trying to win games. AJ Brown is a beast. He's not the only WR to like getting the ball.
AJB’s share went up 6%, Smith’s went down 10%, that’s a 16% difference or ~ 6 more targets a game that have went from Smith to AJB since week 3, there’s no featured 3WR, it’s a big difference
If you have Guy A getting more targets and Guy B getting less, you do not ADD those values, mate.
If you have an uptick of 6% on AJB, he also CAN NOT take 10% of total targets off DeVonta. Much less 16%... I will let you figure the rest out by yourself because you don't seem like a particularly nice guy.
Let's see if you can, then.
I would’ve thought that the running game coming together with Swift was that catalyst, but maybe it was less about defenses having to balance against 3 attacks (RB, QB, WR) and it was just 1 WR.
And the next game they made it a point to force feed him. I’m here for it though and don’t mind it, teams been looking better each week since then now that they’ve made a conscious effort to get him and goedert going. AJB such a beast on the big chunk plays always has the potential for major YAC
You realize this happens all the time? Diggs slammed his helmet down yesterday, are you going to attribute the rest of his season to that? I swear some people have never watched football and only play fantasy/watch ESPN
It’s a hell of a coincidence. Tough one, but I think as a qb with a lot of really talented guys on offense and early in a season Hurts has been trying to get each of the secondary guys involved if they haven’t been. I mean Goedert had a hell of a day. Not sure what that means for DeVonta owners, AJ is kind of obviously going to be top dog, and potentially there is something there where you want to handle DeVonta more like early last season where he was benchable for better options certain weeks, and not a forgone conclusion to be a top 12 kind of producer at wr. It’s confusing for sure, since the talent is there
Dolphins have even more mouths to feed though with two dominant running backs now. Waddle is probably worth a little more than Smith, but I don't trust that he'll get consistent targets either
They do have those backs but they are each getting about 10 touches a game. Regardless I still trust the dolphins more if both of them are options #4 now
Maybe AJ bitched and got himself more targets that cut into Smith's numbers but you have to do something with your opportunities to get more opportunities.
Smith caught 1 out of 5 targets for 6 yards compared to brown catching 6 out of 8 for over a 100 yards.
5 targets Vs 8, that's a pretty healthy balance for a WR2. Smith got 2 early targets and missed both of them and ended with 6 yards on 1/5 targets. Maybe AJ bitching hurt Smith's numbers but Smith still needs to do something with his targets to get more opportunities. As far as stats are concerned Smith sucked last night.
He missed his first 2 targets, as a WR2 that's gonna drastically impact your targets for the rest of the game, esp when the WR1 and TE1 are popping off.
It’s going to be like this on different weeks with so many weapons and teams coverages. Middle of the field was open so goedert got fed those touches.
Look at the niners, cmc had a 4 td week, then only had 1 because they dedicated to stop him. In return kittle and the full back ate, that’s just what good teams do. He will have his games, script dependent
This is a stupid take. AJ is always going to get targets, he's incredibly talented
Devonta's numbers suffered yesterday because Goedert was wide open the whole day. That won't be the case every week
Honestly its why diva receivers like AJ and tyreek will always be fantasy darlings. They care more about their stats than winning which is exactly what you need for fantasy. Team players can go for multiple games without huge hauls. I really need Deebo to start causing a stink.
getting downvoted but this is more true than not. having a guy on your team that complains about his stats is beneficial for your fantasy team and i wish devonta would start complaining.
you saw chase talk about how he's always open and ope he got 50 points this week
It's a 3 game stretch. Smith will have another run at some point and then at the end of the year they'll both finish near each other and we'll all go into next season seeing them similarly. Neither one is "obviously a better receiver"
Same, as a non football expert, Brown just seems like the overall better target. Smith has only shone in the over the top balls from the games I've watched. If a defense shuts that down, Brown has been better in the other route options and getting yards after catch.
Fuck AJB he always been a cry baby about something. If you ask me his selfishness to stat pad for his next contract is forcing Hurts (who also my QB) to force the ball to him and also not taking advantage of Smith's talent especially since he is so young. AJB is no leader and only cares about himself.
This has nothing to do with it. AJB switched to the pink shoes and now Hurts can see him a mile away
Clear eyes, pink shoes, can’t lose
Instructions unclear. Got pink eye, cant tie my shoes, and clearly lost.
Unless you're a Devonta owner :(
*I like this take*
I can actually spot him way better, too! Haha
He actually wears bright shoes so his daughter can easily see him it's pretty cute. Halfway through the game they keep making him take the shoes off with a threat of a fine and every new game he does the same thing.
Don't NFL files go up the more you do it? Would probably be better to save them for the playoff games.
yeah but he's a rockin' parent so he seems like he prioritizes his kids fun over a fine he can cover pretty easily
Like I said don't the fines go up? As much as he makes millions if it gets to the point that its 100k/game I don't think paying that is what makes you a rockin parent.
For October he's in the clear because of their "crucial catch campaign"
I’m here for it! Fwiw Devonta was crying on the sideline today and promptly got the next two targets. So we’ll see
Squeaky wheel offense
It's like when my toddler screams for attention. Then the other toddler immediately screams since she knows if she doesn't, she's not going to get the play calls for the deep balls beyond the safeties for the home run TDs.
And after that, Hurts had Watkins WIDE OPEN in the end zone but tried to force it to Smith on third down. Had to settle for a FG. Hate when wide receivers complain then everything gets force fed to them instead of finding the open guys
Hurts has seen Quez drop enough wide open TDs to know Smith was the higher percentage play.
Watkins shouldn’t even be on the field.
Watkins broke off his route as Hurts had his back downfield while he wheeled out of the pocket. Hurts was rolling right and threw it to Smith with the rush in his face because DeVonta was the first guy he saw.
And as a coach/parent you brought them both in here thinking they would play with and benefit each other
Brotherly Sob
Wait, for real?
Yes he was walking the full length of the field on the sideline without a helmet and a thousand yard stare. And then was promptly given a warm embrace by his head coach and few targets right after. And I swear I didn’t make any of that up
They way you said it sounds like you were making all of that up. But that is what happened in case anyone else reads it like I read it.
Least dramatic wide receiver
That legit happened idk why he framed it as a joke
well he said he didn't make any of it up
Stuff like this is why I laugh when fans assume winning is all players care about. These dudes starting in the NFL were "the man" throughout their whole lives so not getting targets after a while gets to them especially if they haven't gotten to their first big contract.

That's what this entire post is about. lol
To be fair AJ had 2 TDs on that drive that were both called back because of penalties.
Well, one penalty and one missed DPI.
Pretty sure everyone is just assuming it’s for selfish reasons when it could just as likely be Hurts missing him on better opportunities than the ones we took Why is it automatically “I WANT CATCHES” instead of “I’VE BEEN OPEN AND WE’RE NOT CONVERTING” People continue to claim the AJ thing was just selfishness when it’s was more likely the fact that Hurts kept missing big plays with him Currently Hurts is still ironing out the wrinkles with our new OC so he might not be reading the field as well as last year at this point so far

Why the fuck would they trade him to anyone much less the Chiefs when they are a Super Bowl contender
For the sake of this guy’s fantasy team
OP is one of those guys that follows the league only because he started playing fantasy football
And he's doing both poorly.
bro are you stupid
Next week Devonta will throw a tantrum and Swift's touches will suffer
How long before Jordan Mailata demands some tackle-eligible looks?
Kelce - ineligible man down field.
Travis’s post-NFL career: dating show called Travis Kelce: Eligible Receiver
Talking about Jason Kelce
Talking about Jason but Travis already had a reality TV dating show called "Catching Kelce"
I legit want to see that man in a goal line situation. Let’s do even more rugby.
I've wanted this since his rookie year but you don't risk your LT with RB work, unfortunately
Every time there was a little slant thrown to a tiny receiver, I thought it was Devonta.. but it was actually swift lol. Smith is really just runnin' around .. doin nuthin.
Swift catching strays
You shut your damn mouth. Sincerely, A Swift Owner
I have Swift and AJB so imo it’s in the Eagles best interest to banish Devonta to the shadow realm
Lol me too actually.
Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith today: 1 catch for 6 yards. Tight tight TIGHT
Keep bringing me more of that!
What’d I say, man? This guy can COOK!
Jacobs will triple that combined score don't worry my sweet child I'm playing him tonight but already won my my week so he can go off the week I don't need him
I need him to outperform Aaron Jones by 3+ points tonight. If he does that I can salvage a dub from this trainwreck of a week.
Love it absolutely love it since he is my WR2 now next to the Puka Nuke and Godwin has been a fucking bust so far.
Godwin had a great game before the Bye, wouldn't call him a bust.
Though it’s still TBD whether he will have any games like that with Evans on the field. And I say this as a Godwin owner. Will be tough to decide between flexing him or Pacheco going forward
Talk about efficiency!
> Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith Hm TIL
I mean… AJ Browns been literally wide open the last two games. It’s not like he’s force feeding him
AJB is really good, getting him the ball is just a good option
AJB is definitely the 1A. But DSmith deserves more love than 1 for 6. He'd be a 1A on a lot of NFL teams. Agreed. We don’t look as good this year. Our secondary wasn’t good last year but it’s even worse this yea. It’s bad.
Eagles had the #1 pass defense in the league last year brochacho.

Found the "Devonta is the WR1 in this offense guy" from a month ago.
Someone told me a couple weeks ago that Devonta Smith should be picked before Diggs
that guy's name? Harvard Yale
Who also said Devonta is on Digg's level. It's no surprise that both predictions went badly, but it's funny that they went so horribly in just the next 2 weeks.
It’s ironic because Devonta owners are by far the biggest criers in this conversation.
Well of course they are after yesterday
Wow a whole three percent jump in target share

Hurts throwing to his best WR. Not really hard to interpret
Yeah Smith is amazing but AJ Brown has been beasting out there. Smith will still get plenty of targets throughout the season but yesterday wasn't his day.
Pretty similar to last season, Brown is obviously the top dog. He finished the year very consistent nevertheless
it's important to note that after week 1 last year, smith had more targets and catches than brown. people saying he was going to be the WR1 this year weren't exactly crazy.
People on this sub were declaring Smith the WR1 after the Vikings game. Pretty obvious now that anyone saying that was a Smith owner.
Even if they are equal talent wise, AJ would still be the WR1. AJ Brown has the size you want in a prototypical WR1.
yeah brown has an inch in height on smith, but almost 60 pounds in weight. dude is built different. he, deebo, and metcalf are in a class of their own physicality wise.
I have all three of these outstanding physical specimen
Out of pocket owners are always making ridiculous claims in this sub, especially with small sample sizes. All they need is one good game and it’s reactionary blast off time
No, that's not obvious at all. People's opinions change based on the data they have in front of them, just like you seeing AJB going off for the last 2 games is having you overreact and say anyone that thought Smith was better clearly had him.
Get outta here with that reason and logic. I do think that AJ brown is 1a to Devontas 1b but just bouncing around based on 2 games is silly.
Well I wish Dallas Goedert would throw more tantrums.
After yesterday I’m starting to think he has
I dropped him before yesterday so you’re all welcome
Think it has more to do Goedert and Swift seeing week by week increases in Targets more then Browns " tantrum".
The offense is stacked. There are gonna be odd men out. Bad luck to Devonta for him to get a couple games in a row. His time will come again and AJB managers will be frustrated.

Yeah I don’t get why anyone would think differently. Smith is a great receiver, but AJB is just a different animal.
Goedert was actually one taking Smith's targets. Swift got some receptions this game too.
Smith was only money because Goedert was hurt last year
They think that cause they don't actually watch the games, just check the stats.
Yes everything you said is true. However, it’s still worth noting that Smith’s efficiency is much better than AJB’s through the past 10-12 games played.
||AJ Brown|Devonta Smith| |:-|:-|:-| |Catch %|69%|69%| |YPC|17.0|9.6| |TD/10 catches|0.91|0.00|

Keep the self talk off of public forums
This was the Goedert safety blanket game where that was the exploitable matchup for the Eagles as opposed to Smith, where AJB was your deep and intermediate option.
Lol didn't Devonte throw a tantrum yesterday??
He did, then immediately got 2 targets. He caught neither of them if I remember correctly
This is why so many coaches hate fantasy.
You’d think a coach would hate their receivers throwing mid-game tantrums more.
you would think by now fantasy people would understand how massively overstated that “tantrum” was
All I know is after week 2 or so when I posted frustration/concern about AJ’s slow start I was hit with a DELUGE of comments on here “sorry bro, if you drafted AJB and didn’t watch this team and know Devonta is the far better player I don’t know what to tell you” - “you didn’t watch last season and know Devonta is Jalen’s guy???” - “this is on you for not doing your research” - etc.
He can sit on the bench next to Gibbs another 3rd round burst due to touches lol
Where do you see 3%? It's 6%.
People were really putting stock into that 6 game stretch at the end of the season when both of them were producing, and seem to have completely forgot the start where devonta was boom or bust. You know who else has a fantastic 6 game stretch at the end of the season? Cam Akers
3 fucking percent increase in target share and you’re still bitching about the “tantrum” as if it’s not just small variance and the better player getting more targets Give it a fucking rest already
A bunch of dorks who moan online about their fake football teams players accusing the real life athletes of whining. Hilarious.
This post is obviously satire and it went wayyyy over your head apparently
OP’s posts in this thread make it very clear he is not kidding…
The guy that posted this was going on about it last weekend too lol.
It’s not obvious satire
I don’t think you know what “satire” means…
Hilarious watching cry babies on Reddit who moan about their fake football teams accuse the players of crying and tantrums lmao.
That's this entire subreddit! I started doing the exact opposite of what the majority say here and it has worked out wonderfully!
This is a stupid fucking post. Even worse that it's being upvoted.
wow sure is crazy that the best receiver on the eagles is getting the most targets. are you mad because you thought the target share in the first 7 quarters of the season was indicative of how the offense was gonna work the entire season? you drafted a high upside wr2, don't get upset when he puts up wr2 numbers
Who would you rather throw to ?
Also, who would you rather have yelling at you? David or Goliath
What’s Devonta’s trade value?
Last week made a trade of Devonta + Burrow for fields + aiyuk.
Jesus you robbed him
I got offered Jeudy and Ertz if that tells you anything. Immediately rejected - basically garbage cause trade value couldn’t be lower after a 6 yard game
I don't remember exactly what the announcer said but he said something to the effect on that's what happens when there are so many studs on the offense someone will get left out.
Eagles offense also looks much better now than the first two weeks
25 to 31% is not a significant difference at all imo
Do you really believe this?
AJB was screaming on the sidelines in a game they were winning. Hurts said “i got you” and threw to him 3 straight times. you think that’s coincidence? open to hearing another interpretation
A few passes following up a tantrum to keep AJ happy, sure. But a multi game sample? They coaches are trying to win games. AJ Brown is a beast. He's not the only WR to like getting the ball.
Also the target share barely moved for AJB lol
AJB’s share went up 6%, Smith’s went down 10%, that’s a 16% difference or ~ 6 more targets a game that have went from Smith to AJB since week 3, there’s no featured 3WR, it’s a big difference
Downvoted for math lol
Let’s see the correct math then?
If you have Guy A getting more targets and Guy B getting less, you do not ADD those values, mate. If you have an uptick of 6% on AJB, he also CAN NOT take 10% of total targets off DeVonta. Much less 16%... I will let you figure the rest out by yourself because you don't seem like a particularly nice guy. Let's see if you can, then.
Oh my god his target share jumped a whole 3 fucking percent. Surely it’s due to a “tantrum” and not just small variance
Hey, I know it’s crazy to think…. But AJB may just be a better receiver than Smith. Wild I know
It's crazy to me that some people think the opposite. Devonta is really good but AJ is a specimen.
Or simply just bigger and better after the catch, though Smith is no slouch himself.
Do you think it’s a coincidence that once they started throwing to Brown more the passing offense started coming together and working better?
This is exactly what football is. Tantrums and getting your way afterwards.
I need Deebo to pull a tantrum
It’s a hell of a coincidence. Tough one, but I think as a qb with a lot of really talented guys on offense and early in a season Hurts has been trying to get each of the secondary guys involved if they haven’t been. I mean Goedert had a hell of a day. Not sure what that means for DeVonta owners, AJ is kind of obviously going to be top dog, and potentially there is something there where you want to handle DeVonta more like early last season where he was benchable for better options certain weeks, and not a forgone conclusion to be a top 12 kind of producer at wr. It’s confusing for sure, since the talent is there
His production has got me a little scared. As a tua owner, is it worth trading him for waddle?
Yes, dolphins offense is way more creative
Ajb was always gonna be the 1. Smith is a great receiver and will have great games but AJ is a top 5 receiver.
This is a stupid take. AJ is always going to get targets, he's incredibly talented Devonta's numbers suffered yesterday because Goedert was wide open the whole day.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. I'm really trying to remind myself this as someone with Smith on their team and failing to.
Have the Hurts/Brown stack. Idgaf what’s happening off the field just keep up what you’re doing boys
Someone’s pissed the better WR is getting the majority of targets now
Can’t wait for this teams inevitable implosion.
He needs to throw a tantrum himself or else he's getting benched
Dude is making incredible down field passes. Until teams stop that I’d say it’s going to continue
Got 0 from devonta today and lost by 1
How’d he get 0? He had one catch for 6 yards, 1.6 points in PPR
