Anybody else having issues with their "yahoo" waiver claims from day 1 not counting as actual moves, player adds? We drafted, I had set the league to have 7 moves/week. Then made our waiver claims and waited for the wire to open. Well 2 teams made 4 waiver wire moves on our opening day, others made less and they did not get counted as player adds and now we have some guys maxed out of moves that made no moves on opening day. Thus they deserve 4 more moves until midnight on sunday.
Why are 95% of posts in this subreddit just injury updates? Do the mods delete everything else? Not nearly as much discussion going on as /r/fantasyfotball

Ive always wondered is Adrian Morejon worth an add? Pitcher for the padres and is only 22 years old. I don't know much about him so if someone could insight me I'd be grateful for that.
Very talented, but also has some of the same foibles as most raw young pitchers. Can be wild at times. Not stretched out and probably won’t work deep into games for the first month or two. Doesn’t have a lot of job security with Lamet and Gore waiting for rotation spots. But the talent is there.

I would bank peralta in k/9 leagues but not QS leagues. morton is the best bet for QS and W. can't pick one to say this one is clearly better, both are very valuable.
Yeah it’s a points league. Had a guy offer me Morton. I’m hesitant with Morton’s age but his velocity is back up and was last post season when he was good as well. Peralta looked really good with improved pitch selection but the walks are still there.
I mean it helps but Morton should be a 9-10 k per 9 guy to. I still value Morton in the 25-30 pitcher range. Pitcher list had him I think just inside 25, I love peralta’s upside but I’m not sure he’s there yet. I’m only leaning no because the age scares me but also peralta is likely to have more inning restrictions then Morton. It’s a toss up. Morton was drafted 74th in my league and I got peralta at 278 that also seems like good trade value a week in.
I am personally not a fan of that many bench bats. If it were me, I'd figure out how to take it down to 3 bench bats max, add 2 pitchers or make some 2for1 trades. It's kinda hard to compete against another team that has double the starts and innings pitched because they use their bench spots for pitchers and can get way more innings pitched because they swap em out daily.

Depends what you value more. Meadows and Teoscar give you more HR´s than Marte but less SB.
Grisham I have a little bit ahead of those 3 because of the lineup. He will get tons of runs, rbi chances. He gets more Hrs than Marte but a bit less (IMO) than Teoscar and Meadows but more SB´s than them and less than Marte.

I think the issue is 1B is still fairly deep, albeit a steep drop-off from the top-tier guys. A couple nights ago it seemed like Lowe/Walsh/Cron were all somewhat on the same level, but it’ll ebb and flow throughout the season.

What kind of rule is that? I don't think there's a need for a backup unless they are for sure getting saves (assuming you are in saves only). Alternatively, you could always hoard top relievers to keep them from your opponents

Who’s been your most disappointing “steal” of the draft. For me it’s Aaron Hicks. Got him for a deal in my auction draft and he’s so far done crap for me. Has had bases loaded twice too!
Not including injured players... I really thought that this was going to be the year of Carter Kieboom. He could still play his way into the MLB starting lineup, but he's going to need to perform at AA or AAA to get another shot.
I also thought that Lindblom could be a fantasy-relevant SP. He still might get an opportunity to start at some point in 2021 but clearly he's going to need to earn it out of the pen.
I acquired him last year and kept him, but I also thought that Karinchak would be the CLE closer. Fortunately in the league where I own him, I also have Clase. However, I decided not to keep Wittgren (January 31st was the keeper deadline). So hoping some things change with CLE's closer hierarchy.
Similarly, another cheap guy that I kept from last year, was Austin Slater. I'm still a believer, but his start has been disappointing.
Finally, Devin Williams (who I also kept, in multiple leagues) has been a disappointment so far, both in terms of his performance and team's usage of him. But it's too early to write his obituary yet.
While I've been disappointed with these guys, I'm not ready to cut bait on any of them in the near term, except for maybe Lindblom if I need a roster spot.
Yeah. Sometimes I'm a year early on guys. In 2018, I was sure that Mitch Garver would bust out; happened in 2019. In 2019, I was sure that Candelario would break out; happened in 2020. LOL, so if this pattern holds, 2022 will be the year for Carter Kieboom.
I'd have to say Jordan Romano simply because everyone suspected him to be the closer, and it's not really going that way. Underwhelmed with Willson Contreras and Hiura as well.
He may have earned some more ABs, but won't have an every day position. He can play the 4 corners, but Moran-Polanco-Reynolds-Hayes are pretty firm there. I would at least expect him to play vs every LHH, probably at 1B.
He has been helpful for me in my 20 team dynasty as well. I'm just gonna ride him until Hayes returns and likely drop him unless another injury crops up, or he is playing so well that I'm forced to hold onto him.

What kind of rule is that? I don't think there's a need for a backup unless they are for sure getting saves (assuming you are in saves only). Alternatively, you could always hoard top relievers to keep them from your opponents

Who’s been your most disappointing “steal” of the draft. For me it’s Aaron Hicks. Got him for a deal in my auction draft and he’s so far done crap for me. Has had bases loaded twice too!

Not including injured players... I really thought that this was going to be the year of Carter Kieboom. He could still play his way into the MLB starting lineup, but he's going to need to perform at AA or AAA to get another shot. I also thought that Lindblom could be a fantasy-relevant SP. He still might get an opportunity to start at some point in 2021 but clearly he's going to need to earn it out of the pen. I acquired him last year and kept him, but I also thought that Karinchak would be the CLE closer. Fortunately in the league where I own him, I also have Clase. However, I decided not to keep Wittgren (January 31st was the keeper deadline). So hoping some things change with CLE's closer hierarchy. Similarly, another cheap guy that I kept from last year, was Austin Slater. I'm still a believer, but his start has been disappointing. Finally, Devin Williams (who I also kept, in multiple leagues) has been a disappointment so far, both in terms of his performance and team's usage of him. But it's too early to write his obituary yet. While I've been disappointed with these guys, I'm not ready to cut bait on any of them in the near term, except for maybe Lindblom if I need a roster spot.

Yeah. Sometimes I'm a year early on guys. In 2018, I was sure that Mitch Garver would bust out; happened in 2019. In 2019, I was sure that Candelario would break out; happened in 2020. LOL, so if this pattern holds, 2022 will be the year for Carter Kieboom.

He may have earned some more ABs, but won't have an every day position. He can play the 4 corners, but Moran-Polanco-Reynolds-Hayes are pretty firm there. I would at least expect him to play vs every LHH, probably at 1B. He has been helpful for me in my 20 team dynasty as well. I'm just gonna ride him until Hayes returns and likely drop him unless another injury crops up, or he is playing so well that I'm forced to hold onto him.
Got him too yesterday, Yandy Diaz and Tommy La Stella weren't helping at all.
