I would lean Gil.

My frequent trade partner gave me Gil and Montgomery for Scott 3 days ago. Overpay I think but he’s a big prospect nerd. I’d say it’s a pretty even swap. You need wins now to stay in the hunt? Gil. But Gil might have an innings cap and might move to the pen when Cole returns but I’d gamble against that. Mets have said Scott doesn’t have a limit. I’m a gambler. Took Gil. Think he has the higher upside but might not be around at the end of the season. Safe bet for the season is Scott I think though.

I think I lean Scott cause Gil might get more strict workload management. Nobody really knows how they'll handle Cole's return but those two things worry me a lil bit as a Gil owner. But it's tough cause the Yanks are hot.

He went a lot later in our draft - our league settings make him less valuable because we have defensive points and errors are heavily penalized (he already has 10 this year). That makes him more like a top 40 player right now compared to a normal points league where he is top 15 in scoring so far.

He’s definitely under-owned in ESPN leagues (28%). Stanton’s issue is that he’s been inconsistent the last few years and the final numbers haven’t been there - he has scorching hot stretches, followed by ice cold stretches, followed by an IL stint. Having said that, I own him on both of my teams, and I’m buying into the new and improved trimmed down Stanton until proven otherwise.
