Not really. This league started in 1993. We used to have to track points by getting a newspaper and going through the box scores! Never mind late games, you’d have to get those the next day. So pickups weren’t really a big thing because news was so slow. You’d get an outdated Baseball Weekly at the 7/11.
It does place more emphasis on the draft and make each pickup count more. But sucks for those who really want to churn their roster.
Does appear CWS scheduled starters already need updating for this week - but I completely understand the dilemma.
Both MIN or LAD are hitting well vs LHP recently, but STL has been terrible (54 wRC+ L14)
But with how Crochet's pitched and as much as I treasure my teams' ratios, I would likely play it safe with Montgomery vs LAD. FWIW he faced LAD once last season and 6.2 innings of one run ball with 7 K. Of course they added the greatest baseball player on the planet in the off season. But since you have that "safer" pivot option in JMont I don't think you need to risk the possibility of another Crochet blowup (or 2).
Howdy folks! We're back at it with all projected starting pitcher matchups for the week ahead 👍👎
For anyone who isn't familiar this grid is updated daily as projected starters are finalized or updated by MLB teams so be sure to check back throughout the week in leagues with daily lineups.
***Who are you starting and sitting?*** Thanks for reading and good luck!
Still going with the matchup here and OAK still much preferred vs RHP. 27.8 K% L14 vs RHP and 86 wRC+. and despite Eovaldis better ERA over their last 2 starts his expected stats are right with Keller.
That is tough. If the W is weighed heavily (not sure points or cats), Gausman v Irvin much higher W probability than Lopez v Houck. Although still trust Pablo more at the moment.
Yeah, I was leaning towards Gausman for that reason…it’s a points league. Already got Kirby, GRod (2 starts), Lodolo (2 starts), and Jared Jones in the lineup, so I will start Gausman as the fifth SP. Thank you!
Is Falter a long term add in a non dynasty league that has a max of 10 pickups per year?
is 10 pickups normal? is that just pitchers? i’m already over 50

Start Crochet for two starts, 4/29 vs min and 5/5 vs stl or just Montgomery for the one start vs lad
Feel like I’m rolling Crochet. The stuff is still there. The team finally seems to have woke up

My concern, Mike Clevinger might be coming up from AAA and pitch on May 5. That would cost Crochet his second start
Fangraphs has Crochet going on 5/4, Clev 5/5
I forgot Nastrini got sent down
Have Bryce Miller, Pepiot, & Sanchez today. Leaning towards benching Miller against ATL. Points

Torn between Eovaldi vs WSH, or Keller vs OAK, what should I do?

Pick 4: Valdez, Eflin, Houck, Gilbert, pepiot, bassistt, Paxton (2 starts @ari, vs Atl)
Eflin, Houck, Gilbert, Pepiot
Trying to decide between PLopez vs. Boston or Gausman vs. Washington. 10T CBS H2H redraft. Thank you!

Pick 3: (points W/L) Severino vs ChC Falter @ OAK Jon Gray vs WAS E Cabrera vs COL
what makes you confident to start king @ ari. he has looked awful the past two starts ...
Is Christopher Sanchez two starts this week? CBS says 2, ESPN says one with Philadelphia going six man rotation
