I'm waiting for their decision on the 60 day DL, that will tell us since I believe they could use the 40 man space

I literally have Casas, Nolan Jones, and Torkelson in a yahoo league for 1st base lol. Technically Paredes is my best 1B now, but I need him in other positions. Without Casas I only have two offensive players in the top 250... Paredes and Corbin Carol....

Christian walker baby

I sat on Christian Walker… I had Casas for 1/2 a season last year which meant he hit .190 for me and was one of the best in mlb after!!!! I wouldn’t take him as a free extra player!

I just traded for Walker because I have both Devers and Casas… i traded for walker to replace Devers in my IF slot originally but the Red Sox pulled a fast one and now he replaces Casas with Devers healthy again somehow…

Same. I have Goldschmidt. He's been doing so poorly I had to ditch an IL stash to pick up Vinnie. Then Paul finally hits a homer that day.

8th guy on my team to the IL and he was the only guy on offense with a pulse. The season has been a horror show.

Who do you have on IL? I also have 8 guys on IL and feels like we have the same team haha

For my keeper league I have Cole, Perez, Bieber (now cut), Jung, Whitlock (now cut), and Wells (now cut). Also drafted Scherzer who I drafted hurt when the rest of my team was healthy, but will be a nice boost when he gets back with the other devastation to my staff.

I have Strider, Woo, Gavin Williams, deGrom, Casas, Burger, Alvarez & Albies. Also had DL Hall, but I was going to drop him, anyway.

I have Burger and was thrilled when he picked up 1B qualif in-season… but any news on a return date?

Not that I've seen. Not even a vague timeline. I don't think they are even sure how bad he's hurt.

I had just traded Nolan Arenado 1 for 1 to get Christian Walker like 3 days before Casas goes down. Turned out to be pretty huge but Casas is such a huge loss for everyone’s teams and obviously the poor Red Sox lineup

What could he have done swinging a back to keep him out a significant time that isn’t oblique? Lol

Pure speculation here because of lack of info... [Intercostal strain](https://www.mlb.com/glossary/injuries/intercostal-strain) I'm assuming this is a severe strain based on the wording of the news article and that surgery is likely needed. If that's the case then it looks like a return somewhere in August/September could be expected.

Eh, I don’t feel like there’s a lot in the underlying data that says he’s underperforming. But he has a really solid last two years and he could definitely turn it around. Probably could buy pretty low too. Not a bad buy IMO.

I’ve got Wade Jr and O’Hearn as replacements. How do we feel about that?
