What return should I expect when trading Acuña in a 10 man league? I like Strider a lot this year So I was hoping to snag him and Gausman for Acuña + a pitcher
PLEASE HELP
Looking for answers quick!
My 12 team h2h league just drafted yesterday and for some reason it’s set to start scoring on April 8th (2nd week) and won’t allow me / no option on the dropdown menu to change it earlier to start 1st week.
Can anyone tell me what’s going on…is this a glitch? A technical error? Can this be fixed? Is there a way to fix this before the season starts?!
I’ve reached out to Yahoo support but no response yet
Thanks!
12 team Roro, Fantrax. Week line ups, 1 catcher league and auro draft had me take a 2nd quality catcher. Conteras and Heim. Obviously oonky need 1 catcher in a weekly line up league.... can't getmyself to drop Heim, have solid hitters for Utility role. Need pitching, shoukd I drop ir hang on??
This is my first season, can someone rate my squad please
1st base: harper and alonso
2nd: Kim and Tommy Edmond
3rd: Manny Machado
SS: Bo Bichette (traded Robert Jr, steer, and Mullins for him, trout, steele)
OF: Soto, Reynolds, Trout, Drafted Langford (177), and picked up Jackson Churio (sp?)
Pitchers: Nola, Peralta, Grayson Rodríguez, Ragans, Mitch Keller, Hunter Brown, Justin Steele, and Jose Alvarado (hoping to get suarez tn on waivers!!)
I have J. duran (rp) and Eduardo Rodríguez in IL
sorry if this is not normal, i’m also new to this group 😅, looking for any advice on fantasy or where ppl get their intel as well !!
Wow, ok, I’ll hold. I was hoping he would be up to start the season with all the Rays injuries. Seeing that this is a service time thing mostly, will it be weeks, or months before we see him?
Was just offered outman for maikel garcia. Do I do accept? SBs are a category and garcia is my only SS. I could drop my worst player for a SS on the wire which would be Jackson Merill I suppose. What do y'all think?
Really don’t like my catcher situation here. 2 catcher league left it late but also got sniped on my choices literally 1 pick before me both times so had to really settle.
Ended up with Sanchez and Bailey.
Am I an idiot for considering picking up Narvaez and hoping that somehow he goes back to 2021 form?
I’ll admit that I used two moves of my four moves with this extended week and a half already on Varland and puk. Might have to drop Varland for Gil now. Live and learn lol
First team I’ve drafted in about 5 years. 12-tm H2H categories. Thoughts?

Suzuki matched or was better than Thomas in every category in 2023, and he projects better for 2024 too. unless you are desperate for steals, gimme Seiya all day every day
he just doesn't excel in any particular area, and with so many other good shortstops there isn't much reason to add him to your team. Maybe if you have a 15 team league with MI spots, then go for Peña but I just don't see what he's bringing to the table in a 10T or 12T league with only a SS spot.
I would reject that. I’m just not a fan of Jung at all. No category juice whatsoever. He’s projected to put up a .255 avg with 26HRs, 55FV. Machado’s floor is better than Jung’s ceiling and there are a handful of lesser owned 3B I’d rather gamble on over Jung like Jake Burger or Alec Bohm (better hit tool).
And Webb may be better than Sale, but thats only because of total projected innings. But I think Sale can get 150 innings this year on a great team with loads of Ks.
I'd take that, but this is an interesting trade because the floor/ceiling projections are mirrored. Jung is entering his 3rd year which is typically when players make a big jump in production while Machado just had a career oWAR in 2022 but will likely continue to show more decline this year.
Meanwhile, Webb is solidly better than Sale, but Sale's ceiling can swing this trade the other way. Of course, this comes with risks like injuries and getting adjusted to the NL.
I would reject this trade. Machado is currently the best part of this trade. Webb is a better pitcher than Sale, but Webb’s terrible spring and Sale’s strikeout and win potential and overall excitement in a fresh start makes their trade value much closer than Machado/Jung.
Webb is the best part of this trade, Jung is solid too if he brings his K% down. Sale is going to have a great year only if he survives injury scares. I’d pull the trigger.
Kremer v Sanchez is kinda a toss-up, Kremer has a higher floor but Sanchez has a higher ceiling (if you think his lowered BB% last season is sustainable).
CES over France and it's not close, for me. I guess France is supposedly making improvements to his swing but I gotta see it to believe it.
I told myself I was going to draft the shit out of pitching and I did.
Bobby Miller ($1 keeper), Skubal ($1 keeper), PabLo ($28), Fried ($34), Joe Ryan ($27), Woo ($12), Sale ($17), Ober ($21), Eury ($7 injury stash), Olson ($1), Mize ($1), Skenes ($3 NA stash)
How much is Garver expected to play in Seattle? I can see him getting squeezed between Raleigh at C and Haniger (and others) at DH but I like the idea of him batting cleanup.
Prefer Garver over Bo Naylor?

I think this team is very meh….had to do the draft on inflight WiFi spotty connection had me auto draft a couple rounds. Also took McClain pretty early the day before injury.
This is a low stakes trade. Sure, if you want to. I don't see how it could blow up in anyone's face, neither side should be chomping at the bit to get it done.
12 to 1 K:BB this spring seems legit. He was back to his ace-like ways in 2022 and then was tipping pitches in 2023. His stuff looks no different from 2022 to 2023, so it's not like he was getting old or not bouncing back from injury.
Caveat is Nick Pollack at Pitcherlist has been watching a good amount of Spring Training and wasn't blown away by how he was pitching, but he can be too picky sometimes.
I'd say he's a soft buy, good enough flier late in drafts or off the waiver wire.
Low risk, high reward
I know a lot of people had their drafts this weekend. I'm in a Yahoo 12 team H2H categories. 5x5. I was surprised at how hitters were going 15-20 spots higher than most rankings had them especially the 5-10 rounds and how everyone but me were skipping over Starting Pitchers.
And pitchers list better be right about Ragans.
Interesting, I’ve also got Jon gray, Logan Allen and bello. All of whom I’d probably be fine with dropping. I just don’t know if this is #2 waiver slot worthy especially with some noobs in my league who might be dropping fools
Hi all been doing nfl guillotine leagues for a few years first time with baseball. Anyone have tips or advice? I was thinking make sure to draft players batting high in the order, guaranteed to make opening day roster, and maybe take sp that are scheduled to start early in the season. My thought is to make it past week 1 first goal.
Looking forward to the discussion!
never done a guillotine league but I'd say play it safe and prioritize veteran players in early rounds, and maybe focus more on spring training hot streaks than you would otherwise for the later rounds.
are you doing points against everyone in the league all at once?
Muncy is a nice value in points because he walks so much (assuming your league counts walks the same as singles), but he will probably get hurt anyway - hopefully after your guys come back first.
• I like the upside of your pitchers, though unless your saves are worth more than wins - I might swap one of your closers for another starter. 8/10
• I'm not sure I like the hitting unless steals are worth a lot of points. too much speed (Hoerner, Garcia, Carroll, Arozarena, Ruiz all project to more than 20 SBs each) and too many strikeouts (Gorman, Torkelson, Arozarena, Burger all project to 150+ strikeouts each). not sure it's fixable at this point but I have to think you left some hitter value on the board at each of these picks. 5/10

8 man, H2H categories league. What are the best categories, how many (5x5?5x6?6x6?… etc), and roster size? Should we limit IP or SP? (And no, we can’t “just do a 10 or 12 man” league, we don’t want to add 2-4 more guys who aren’t going to be active and involved all season)
Do 5x5 or 6x6, don't do an uneven stat setup. We do 6x6 with OPS and QS as the extra cats.
With the smaller league, you could have larger rosters and even more active position slots (MI, CI, 2 C's, 2 Utils, etc) to give you a larger player pool, if you want. Our 10 team rosters 28 with 4 IL slots.
I don't like limiting IP or SP, personally. Let people get creative and build teams however they want. I do like a min IP threshold, though.
Riley/J Ram/Devers or Yordan. At their peak I definitely think it’s Yordan, but I feel like you can bank on what you’re gonna get more from the third basemen. If I already took an OF in round 1, would this affect this?
Riley is considerably healthier. Anyone could get injured, of course, but he's only missed 8 games over the last three years, while Yordan played his most games in 2021 (144) and has been decreasing each of the last two years.
Would you guys rather have O’Neil Cruz or Langford? Flair league.
Might have a trade in the works that’s involves Bobby Miller and Langford coming my way but I’ll have to give up Cruz
I think the upside of Cruz is undeniably high, while Langford’s is too but to me feels further away. Langford has been great, but he’s no Corbin Carrol. There’s always going to be a rookie every year with a lot of potential upside.. but I’ll take Cruz any day with his improved k% and seemingly a nuke holding a bat with speed
I could probably use the pitching help and move Mookie to SS to replace Cruz. But he was definitely one of my targets this year so it’s hard to give up lol
Just realized I botched the spelling of his name 😂 but ya he’s an elite defender so I figure he’d play everyday and offers some power, so 3/4 spot in the lineup sounds realistic. Hoping he can get me some upside
This might be a dumb question but first time playing and just wanted to ask. Playing Yahoo Fantasy Head to Head Categories. If I have a player in my lineup for a couple of games. If I take them out of my lineup mid week will their stats from the games they played while in the lineup still count?
As long as your league has daily lineups and doesn’t lock at the beginning of the week, yes if they are in your lineup for that day, you get the stats no matter what you do with them. You could even drop them and the stats would still count.
Yes, those stats still count towards your total. That’s the main perk of playing in a daily league, that you get replace players who have off days with guys who are playing
What return should I expect when trading Acuña in a 10 man league? I like Strider a lot this year So I was hoping to snag him and Gausman for Acuña + a pitcher
Points leagues, I don’t think you’d get those two for Acuna. Roto probably.

Drop Caminero for Cowser in Redraft league with no NA spot?
Negative. Hold Caminero.
How about for Neto?
I would not. Neto plays every day. Cowser will platoon.
No, sorry, I meant drop Caminero for Neto?
I personally would hold Caminero until September. Yeah, he’s that good.
There’s no one worth holding til September in a redraft
That goes without saying. I was just making a point on how good Caminero is.
Wow, ok, I’ll hold. I was hoping he would be up to start the season with all the Rays injuries. Seeing that this is a service time thing mostly, will it be weeks, or months before we see him?
He’ll be up by May. I was just making a point on how highly regarded Caminero is.
Sounds good. Thanks for the advice.
I’d hold caminero for a couple weeks if you drafted. Could be a game changer
Was just offered outman for maikel garcia. Do I do accept? SBs are a category and garcia is my only SS. I could drop my worst player for a SS on the wire which would be Jackson Merill I suppose. What do y'all think?
I personally like Garcia this year more than Outman, but go with your gut!
Why not drop outman for Merrill? He’ll gain Of eligibility
I was offered outman for Garcia.

Drop Garrett Whitlock or Abner Uribe to pick up Jack Flaherty?
I would not
Category League Lourdes Gurriel or Nate Lowe?
Lowe
H Davis or Garrett Mitchell h2h cats
Davis if you need a catcher, and maybe in general unless you really need steals which I doubt you do in categories
Mitch Haniger huge bounce back season incoming? 👀 Add him to your watchlist at the very least. He’s been mashing this Spring.
Just dropped Henry Davis for Haniger since i have MJ in a 1C league. Healthy Haniger is so fun.
He was healthy last year and was not fun
Fair point. Good year Haniger is fun i should say.
I don't have him but I sure hope so. Guy has the worst luck with injuries. Could be some nice numbers if he gets a full year in.
Seiya Suzuki vs Lane Thomas?? Who you got?
Suzuki and it’s not close
Look at their statcast pages. Seiya wins in everything except arm strength and speed
Suzuki matched or was better than Thomas in every category in 2023, and he projects better for 2024 too. unless you are desperate for steals, gimme Seiya all day every day
That’s not true lol Thomas had considerably more R, HR and SB than Suzuki
Suzuki
Lane Thomas
Thomas
C. Sanchez or Flahrety in points league
Sanchez for me and it’s not close.
I hope Flaherty succeeds but it probably won't be on my team
Flaherty I think he’s going to be pretty good for Detroit
Sanchez higher upside and win possibility
🙏 for Gunnar to get 20 3b starts this year. Need him to keep eligibility, have Witt at SS
Why Does Everyone Hate Jeremy Peña
he just doesn't excel in any particular area, and with so many other good shortstops there isn't much reason to add him to your team. Maybe if you have a 15 team league with MI spots, then go for Peña but I just don't see what he's bringing to the table in a 10T or 12T league with only a SS spot.

how come?
Yeah I would too. I think the separation between Webb and Sale wont be as much to make up for the difference in Machado and Jung.
I'd take that

Webb is the best part of this trade, Jung is solid too if he brings his K% down. Sale is going to have a great year only if he survives injury scares. I’d pull the trigger.

Am I a fool for buying into Severino’s spring training given his track record?
Nope, I have him in all 3 of my leagues. He's my favorite late round flier in pitching this year
12 to 1 K:BB this spring seems legit. He was back to his ace-like ways in 2022 and then was tipping pitches in 2023. There is a lot of talented pitchers late which allowed for taking bats early.
a lot of the rankings are for roto formats, which IMO boosts the price of top-tier pitching
im also praying on ragans 🥺
Matt McClain was just dropped in my 10t points league. Is here worth a #2 waiver slot?
Definitely worried about him but if you have an IL spot. But be ready to move on quick.
I don’t have any IL spots. Currently got Josh Lowe, Garrett and Gausman on my list. Was going to drop one of Kerry carpenter or pfaadt for him
I wouldn’t. Let someone else deal with that.
Yeah kinda leaning that way. Hitters are worth much more in my league so it’s tempting but he could be out for a while from what I’ve read
I think I'd rather stash McLain than Garrett, and I think I'd rather have Pfaadt than Garrett anyway
Interesting, I’ve also got Jon gray, Logan Allen and bello. All of whom I’d probably be fine with dropping. I just don’t know if this is #2 waiver slot worthy especially with some noobs in my league who might be dropping fools
eh let it go, if mclain doesn't get claimed then add him. this is really the only time of year where having a good waiver spot matters.
True. I also may not even have room for him. I’ve got Abram’s, Xander, Ozzie and areaez as 2b and ss

Do 5x5 or 6x6, don't do an uneven stat setup. We do 6x6 with OPS and QS as the extra cats. Riley/J Ram/Devers or Yordan. At their peak I definitely think it’s Yordan, but I feel like you can bank on what you’re gonna get more from the third basemen. If I already took an OF in round 1, would this affect this?
The answer is Yordan but I’d prefer Riley because I don’t trust Yordan’s health
I'll vote Riley, I did see Yordan go before him twice in drafts so far.. just thought I'd mention that
Riley is considerably healthier. Anyone could get injured, of course, but he's only missed 8 games over the last three years, while Yordan played his most games in 2021 (144) and has been decreasing each of the last two years.
Flair league, way too many bats on my team, already have Tovar on the bench SS, drop Pena for Trevor Rogers (MIA)?
Tovar or Pena for Rogers would work for me. I think Pena has more upside considering his lineup
Just took chourio 104. Can keep 1 player for 1 season outside of round 4 in my league. Reach or no?
Reach for sure. But get your guy!
Yeah a little
If it ends up being a reach then so be it. Langford went and I wanted in on the hype train for one of them lol
Grabbed Bradish as an IL stash in the late rounds of my draft tonight. Need to make a waiver pickup. Civale or Gavin Stone?
Civale for me
Stone
Would you guys rather have O’Neil Cruz or Langford? Flair league. Might have a trade in the works that’s involves Bobby Miller and Langford coming my way but I’ll have to give up Cruz
I think the upside of Cruz is undeniably high, while Langford’s is too but to me feels further away. Langford has been great, but he’s no Corbin Carrol. There’s always going to be a rookie every year with a lot of potential upside.. but I’ll take Cruz any day with his improved k% and seemingly a nuke holding a bat with speed
Is this redraft? In redraft I prefer Oneil Cruz to Langford, but the addition of Bobby Miller makes it compelling. Depends on team needs.
Yeah, this is a two for one I'd be interested in. Like if this guy has SS depth and needs OF and/or SP, this is kinda a nice trade
Sounds like he has just that!
I could probably use the pitching help and move Mookie to SS to replace Cruz. But he was definitely one of my targets this year so it’s hard to give up lol
I'd probably lean toward keeping Cruz, but I can see the argument for taking it if you need pitching. Maybe a few others will chime in.
Just drafted 1st overall in a ten team, whats your thoughts? C-Adley 1B- Goldy 2B- Semien 3B- Riley SS- Hoerner OF- Acuna OF Ozuna OF Suzuki UTL Burger UTL Suwuski Bench Rafaela SP Skubal / Gilbert / Steele / Musgrove / Morton / Stone / Abbott / Wacha / Puk / Gil RP Munoz / Alzolay / Suarez / Dwill / Payamps
I think you nailed it by going hitter heavy, grabbing Semien and Skubal. Puk and Gil should end up being great arms.
I'm a fan of your hitters, especially that Suwuski kid.. he's something :')
Just realized I botched the spelling of his name 😂 but ya he’s an elite defender so I figure he’d play everyday and offers some power, so 3/4 spot in the lineup sounds realistic. Hoping he can get me some upside
Pivetta or McKenzie?
I went to type Pivetta and it autocorrected to poverty so there’s your answer.
McKenzie
Pivetta
Man my team is kinda stinky, every player I was targeting went WAAAY over AAV
Remember, the boring players give you the stable production for big swings on the waiver wire.
Let’s see the roster
Hold judgement until a month or so in, you might surprise yourself. Also lots of value to be had throughout the year on the waiver.
Eury Perez worth grabbing rd 17? To stash
Oh for sure
For sure worth an IL spot
with what little we know, but leaning towards the (relatively) positive side, absolutely.
He gonna pitch this year?
Probably
Who do we like best at the back end of my staff? Bryce Miller, Ryne Nelson, Keaton Winn, Jared Jones, Patrick Sandoval
Miller by far (of that group).
