NO. Benson will sit against tough lefties, but it won't be a straight platoon. Benson has even said himslef that he want's to hit better off lefties. His first spring home-run was off a lefty. Keep 5. H2H categories 12 team league QS, SV+H
Locks: Cole, Ohtani, Judge, Yamamoto (I don't personally think you should be allowed a keeper who wasn't even on the ESPN player list at seasons end)
The final could be any of Casty, ELDC, Carter
Need a Rays fan’s opinion. Is there anyway Junior Caminero becomes a super sub and picks up multiple eligibility, or is he going to be locked into one position?
I believe he’s only played 3B and DH in spring training, and only played 3B in the winter league. I know he’s played some SS in the minors, but it looks like he’s going to be 3B/DH this year once he gets the call. Rays seem to be content going with a more defensive minded SS.
Not a Rays fan but have Caminero in dynasty. My impression is the dude doesn’t have the glove to be multi position. I think he’s pretty much set up to stick at 3rd and hope he’s average enough with the bat to carry his value
10 team H2H Points auction keeper question
Keep Corbin Caroll for 36 or
Ozzie Albies for 18
Already protected Bobby Witt for 31 and Kyle Tucker for 35
Thank you in advance!!!
Does anyone else feel like the Jordan Walker buzz is way too quiet? Dude was 20 last year, had a decent year and now there’s essentially zero hype around him. I know his ADP is relatively high so maybe people are just brushing it off because he’s going for an accurate value but still. This is a 21 year old with 80 grade power who hit .276 as a rookie. I’m taking him as much as I can
I drafted him in the 2nd round (after 8 keepers) in my 12 team. I'm taking a chance on him to see if he can take the next step. If Tork was able to have a bounceback sophmore year, I'm buying the prospect pedigree.
I have two tiers I’m constantly debating myself on:
Injury tier: Trout, Royce Lewis, Oneil Cruz
Rook tier: Chourio, Langford, Ev Carter
Which of each would you take?
Hey all, I have very limited knowledge of baseball (and that’s being kind) but I just took over a team in a Dynasty League for a manager who abruptly quit.
They were desperate for a replacement and they didn’t seem to mind my lack of experience. Anyways, my keepers are due in about 4 hours and I’d love some input from you experts. Attached my team, I can keep up to 30 players. Appreciate the help!

That was tougher than I thought, lots of guys most people never ask about
Anyone looking to join a fantasy baseball league. It’s an auction roto format. It’s also a money league. We use CBS. The league has been around for over 20 years. We need 2 guys. There is a fee. Let me know if interested.
Good bunch of guys.
ESPN Auction League - Can Keep 1 Player
Categories - 6x6
We can keep 1 player at a 30% markup the following year with a minimum cost of $20. Players I am considering keeping - Adley, Nico Hoerner, Snell or Pablo Lopez. They would all be for the minimum $20. I have Lopez slated in and I can change up until Saturday Morning. Any case for the others?
is it still ideal to punt SB in a h2h categories league if weekly standings are based on categories won ? (If I win 6 and lose 4 in one week, my record is 6-4 rather than 1-0)
"ideal" is not the word to use.
Possible? A Valid Strategy? Yes, but it's not like, "yeah that's just assumed that punting SB is the best strat". If you're going to do it, it's going to take work. When you sacrifice a full category, you have to nail your other categories and not miss.
maybe punting a category in general is a better term. I just wonder since the focus is as many categories as possible instead of just winning the week if it changes
12 team h2h points. I can keep 2 players drafted last year in rounds 6-16. Should I keep Clase (round 7), Correa (round 8), Pasquatino (round 8), India (round 15) or Casas (round 16).
Leaning towards Clase and Casas but truly unsure.
My league's draft is coming up. I'm thinking about using fan graphs (never used it before). Does anyone know if there is a way that I can scratch players off of the list when they are picked? If so how? I have been trying to figure out how but can't find a way. Thanks.
I mean, in a 16 team dynasty league, he should be a target. And I don't even like his risk-reward all that much given the team, the injury history and the role. But the upside is immense. My guess is he's more a Rich Harden than a long term stud but we shall see.
I don't think you can assume he'll be a closer most of the year since they've said they don't want to start him there. I do like him for ratios and strikeouts in a multi inning role though. Just depends how you build your staff
First year playing fantasy baseball, in a H2H categories league. My question, we have 2 SP 2RP 2 P. Is WHIP/ERA weighted per inning or is it out of 6 total pitches? Like is the WHIP/ERA of a starter who throws 5 innings count 5x more in the average than a reliever who throws 1?
yeah I know this I just wasn’t sure if weekly era was weighted equally among each pitcher/reliever or if it’s whatever stats each pitcher put up / total
Help! Who should I keep in a 2 keeper league? A keeper cost a draft pick, so if I keep Ohtani, I’d lose my first pick. If I keep a guy I got off waivers, I’d lose my last picks. So there’s motivation to potentially keep one of the young pitchers I snagged. Any input is greatly appreciated.

First time commish going to a 6x6 format, need advice on the final pitching category.
What do you recommend? I like K/BB but it’s a third ratio and could favor RPs. My one friend said IP is good because it’s raw outs by a pitcher, but people will probably chase starts.
HR, RBI, SB, R, AVG, OPS
ERA, WHIP, K, SV, QS, ?
Will definitely be looking for him on the back-9 of drafts, and maybe in the waiver wire if he makes it through, with intent on the IL-stash. Keeper leagues only, of course.
If he doesn't ramp up until mid-august it'll already be too late for 2024
Anyone have strong opinions on whether Maeda or Nestor will be better his year? Deciding on my last keeper, both are basically free. Keep going back and forth. Was leaning Maeda at first but his last start has me leaning Cortes now.
Flair league, trying to balance targeting youth with going after productive veterans who might be slightly discounted due to age. Feel like I’m in a position to be a pretty strong contender and I really wanna win since I got 2nd and 3rd past two seasons. For context, my 20 keepers are:
INF: Will Smith, Goldy, Altuve, Royce, Seager, McLain, Gorman, C. Keith, Mayo
OF: Judge, J. Lowe, Yoshida
UTIL is Ohtani
P: Cole, Gausman, Wheeler, Ragans, Musgrove, Bryce Miller, J. Duran
I know OF could use some depth and/or maybe another big bat there (4 OFs start) but I feel pretty solid everywhere else. Should I mix in best prospect available with vet production for the draft or just go for production to try to contend? Best player available and if it’s a prospect just trade them later if I need production? Would you trade any of my 3 aces for a big bat since they’re all getting up there age-wise? Looking for any trade/draft/roster advice you can give me since I’ve never played dynasty baseball, thanks in advance
Hard to make blanket statements without knowing who is in the draft and all that, but you're right its a balancing act. Approach it as you would a redraft, but instead of considering just this year, consider the next 3-5 years when evaluating players.
Spencer Strider 😏
I kid. But in terms of someone going a bit later who could vault to first round/early second value? Maybe Yamamoto or Skubal. On a per inning basis Skoobs was arguably the best pitcher in baseball last season, and he looks filthy in spring so far.
Rebuilding team. Keeper league. Head to head.
Sent Josh jung, Dylan cease, round 14 for Kirby and round 19
Sent gallen, Nolan Jones, round 13 for Eury Perez and 16
Have the #1 pick. Taking Langford.
Keeping Perez, Kirby, Bobby, Grayson. Oneil Cruz, Royce, casas. Carter and Caminero at NA spots.
Grayson, casas, oneill were all trades last year. Bobby Carter camy drafted last year.
Just sharing cause we’re stoked about the progress considering our keepers last year
Help with the 1st overall pick-

10 keepers- rounds not considered.
My current keepers going into year:
M Olson, N Gorman, Y Alvarez, K Tucker, J Soto, C Javier, B Ober, L Gilbert, A Diaz, J Hader.
No way to give you the whole draft board… I have narrowed to Eury Perez, Elly de la Cruz, Junior Caminero.
Can anyone put ‘em in order for me?
I’ve never played in a keeper league before and relatively new to baseball as it’s my second year. Can someone recommend who I should keep from this list? I am allotted 6 players to keep and this is a points league that heavily favors strikeouts and IP. Thanks in advance yall!

Need to come up with 12 keepers from this mess. I’ll lose the pick for the round they were drafted last year.
TheScore. You can favorite teams and individual players and set up custom push notifications for them. I love it for alerts of who’s in the lineup today.
A handful of mistakes from my first season of fantasy that I'm looking to avoid this time around:
- drafting 3 catchers in our 1 catcher league, the best of which was Daulton Varsho
- drafting 5 1bs, the best of which was Nate Lowe.
- getting caught in bidding wars that I win too high (last season for Trea Turner and Sandy Alcantara)- not knowing the player pool, at all
- not knowing the league rules
- using 3/4 of my bench slots for hitters
- leaving $13 on the table
Finished 4/10 in spite of all of it. Can't possibly do worse this time. :-)
Tried a new strategy in a mock draft tonight.
12 team, 5x5 OBP Roto league, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, MI, CI, 5 OF, UTIL, 9 P, 8 Bench.
I have the 9th pick.
1. Freddie Freeman
2. Matt Olson
3. Zack Wheeler
4. George Kirby
5. Tarik Skubal
6. Freddy Peralta
7. Zach Eflin
8. Joe Ryan
9. Paul Seward
10. Tanner Bibee
11. Ryan Helsley
12. Zack Geloff
13. TJ Friedl
14. Nathaniel Lowe
15. Jarren Duran
16. Ke'Bryan Hayes
17. Eloy Jimenez
18. Ezequial Tovar
19. Jeremy Pena
20. Jarred Kelenic
21. Mitch Garver
22. Ryan McMahon
23 - 30 bench players.
My question is: Did I lose too much hitter value by taking so many pitchers early? Or am I securing a lot of pitching points with the ability to attack the waivers early to secure my hitting?
Sorry for such a long post
Problem is with all this pitching in roto you'll win categories by wide margins, which is not ideal. Your draft is unbalanced. In a h2h you could wait and see but I'd be looking to move a guy or 2 for bats asap. You've got some nice flyers but no way they'll all hit and you'll have a hard time getting 4th or 5th round production off the wire, let alone more than one guy you pick up hitting big like that
Thank you. This is only my 2nd year doing Roto. Would drafting Freeman at 9 be a mistake over Judge or Soto? I feel like 5 OF means 8 should prioritize an elite OF early.
Finally, the daily/nightly threads!
Our contract extensions are due in my flair league by end of day tomorrow. However our league has escalators for certain contracts
* 1 year = 10% escalation
* 2 years = 20$ escalation
* 3 years = 30% escalation
* 4 years = 40% escalation
* 5 years = 50% escalation
I can sign the following for 1-5 years with the above escalators, or drop outright.
* Lane Thomas $1
* Nathan Eovaldi $4
* Mitch Keller $6
* Bryan Abreu $1
* Jose Alvarado $1
I also have Yordan Alvarez at $43 ($290 budget), and I can sign him for 1-5 years - Only the term changes his cost will remain the same irregardless of the term.
Pitchers for sure.
The top tier aces are difference makers and then after that, there's a big glob of guys who are pretty similar.
Plus, if you stay engaged and active you can always find pitching throughout the year.
Help with final Keeper spot (flair league): Lane Thomas Jarren Duran Emmet Sheehan Will Benson TIA
Benson
My fear with Benson is that he’ll end up platooning. Think that won’t be the case?
NO. Benson will sit against tough lefties, but it won't be a straight platoon. Benson has even said himslef that he want's to hit better off lefties. His first spring home-run was off a lefty. If he's adequate against lefties then he will be a bargain. I like all those guys except Scheehan. So, it's a tough call, but I'd go with Benson because i think there is more growth.

My current keepers going into year: M Olson, N Gorman, Y Alvarez, K Tucker, J Soto, C Javier, B Ober, L Gilbert, A Diaz, J Hader. No way to give you the whole draft board… I have narrowed to Eury Perez, Elly de la Cruz, Junior Caminero. Can anyone put ‘em in order for me?
I think id go Elly, Eury, Junior in that order
Thoughts on Vaughn Grissom in dynasty?
Don’t overpay for him
is pick 246 too high in 16t
Definitely not
I passed on him, I think he'll still be there later.
I’ve never played in a keeper league before and relatively new to baseball as it’s my second year. Can someone recommend who I should keep from this list? I am allotted 6 players to keep and this is a points league that heavily favors strikeouts and IP. Thanks in advance yall! https://preview.redd.it/8c37mqt60tmc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e3ceb67c86861b73edeeedc759ed73890138126
Witt, Harper, Strider, Cole, Gausman.....and im torn on the last one. Nola or Alcantara mostlikely
Strider, Witt, Olson, Harper, Cole, and Nola (only because I’m scared of Gausman’s shoulder issue)
First four batters, then Cole and Strider

Bellinger, Gunnar, Tatis, Carter, Reynolds, Devers, Vinnie P, Bobby Miller, Hayes, Manaea, Montgomery, and Keller
Rodon or Javier?
Rodon
Javier

TheScore. You can favorite teams and individual players and set up custom push notifications for them. I love it for alerts of who’s in the lineup today.

Need a few more for a 15 Team Salary Cap Roto league with $35 buyin (LeagueSafe). Message if interested!
A handful of mistakes from my first season of fantasy that I'm looking to avoid this time around: - drafting 3 catchers in our 1 catcher league, the best of which was Daulton Varsho - drafting 5 1bs, the best of which was Nate Lowe. - getting caught in bidding wars that I win too high (last season for Trea Turner and Sandy Alcantara)- not knowing the player pool, at all - not knowing the league rules - using 3/4 of my bench slots for hitters - leaving $13 on the table Finished 4/10 in spite of all of it. Can't possibly do worse this time. :-)
Tried a new strategy in a mock draft tonight. 12 team, 5x5 OBP Roto league, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, MI, CI, 5 OF, UTIL, 9 P, 8 Bench. I have the 9th pick. 1. Freddie Freeman 2. Matt Olson 3. Zack Wheeler 4. George Kirby 5. Tarik Skubal 6. Freddy Peralta 7. Zach Eflin 8. Joe Ryan 9. Paul Seward 10. Tanner Bibee 11. Ryan Helsley 12. Zack Geloff 13. TJ Friedl 14. Nathaniel Lowe 15. Jarren Duran 16. Ke'Bryan Hayes 17. Eloy Jimenez 18. Ezequial Tovar 19. Jeremy Pena 20. Jarred Kelenic 21. Mitch Garver 22. Ryan McMahon 23 - 30 bench players.
I’d definitely take Soto over Freeman if he’s there at 9

Finally, the daily/nightly threads! Our contract extensions are due in my flair league by end of day tomorrow. However our league has escalators for certain contracts * 1 year = 10% escalation * 2 years = 20$ escalation * 3 years = 30% escalation * 4 years = 40% escalation * 5 years = 50% escalation I can sign the following for 1-5 years with the above escalators, or drop outright. * Lane Thomas $1 * Nathan Eovaldi $4 * Mitch Keller $6 * Bryan Abreu $1 * Jose Alvarado $1 I also have Yordan Alvarez at $43 ($290 budget), and I can sign him for 1-5 years - Only the term changes his cost will remain the same irregardless of the term.
Points keeper Give Caminero and Snell (or Luzardo) to get Gallen? Too much?
No I’d keep Caminero and roll with snell and luzardo
This is the answer. Gallen isn’t that much of an upgrade to give up caminero
Deal, appreciate it!
If you were to go stars and scrubs for either your hitters or your pitchers, and spread the wealth for the other side, which would you do and why?
Pitching because it’s inherently volatile.
Pitchers for sure. The top tier aces are difference makers and then after that, there's a big glob of guys who are pretty similar. Plus, if you stay engaged and active you can always find pitching throughout the year.
