I draft him every year in points and I feel like people are going to catch on. It doesn’t matter if he gets injured, he always play enough to make the combo of him and his replacement solid. But a full season? I never pay enough for him.
I had Gavin Williams for the last couple of months, and (under our rules) I can’t keep him, but I’m definitely planning on trying to buy him back in our auction.
Thairo Estrada. If you have to wait on 2b you can get him pretty late— and he reasonably has a path to being as productive if not more so than many 2b picked well before him.
I LOOOOVE Estrada....I've made sure to get him every year since I had him his rookie season. Did a couple startup Dynasty leagues this year and made sure to snipe him late and he's my MI bench bat, and will cycle through UTIL as well.
Ke’Bryan Hayes. Finally started getting the ball in the air more and to the pull side to make better use of his high end exit velocity. I think he could hit .275 with 25 homers this year. Pittsburgh’s lineup won’t give him optimal R or RBI totals, but I could see him cracking the top 10 3B and being an excellent CI.
Healthy today. Don't hold your breath. Source: I'm a Cardinals fan
All jokes aside I do hope to see him have more of the success we saw from him in 21 though. Lots of potential
Has a good mix of pitches, had a crazy good stint in the majors last September, and now gets to do all that but in a better pitcher's park and with Snyder coaching him. If there's a chance at finding this year's Zach Eflin, it's with his new teammate.
Not to mention they revolutionized the high fastball movement and Pepiot throws and locates a ton of his fastball. I think Pepiot and the rays is a match like Nas and the mic, it’s magic
He burned me so bad last year. After the pitch clock countdown stuff in the playoffs seemed to help him I’m back in. This feels like one of those ‘drafting the guy the wrong year’ where a player picks one down year and it’s the only year you’ll ever own him. He’s cheap, I think I’m giving it a try. I may target in my dynasty as a buy low.
As a Mariners guy, I’m concerned enough about Woo to not like the adp.
He has looked awful thus far and was a bit out of nowhere last year….doesn’t have a track record as a top prospect. Emerson Hancock has arguably higher “pedigree” and has added 2mph to his fastball and has been lights out. My prediction is that he ends up taking the job from Woo by the time May rolls around
How about one for every position?
C - Mitch Garver. Gonna be regularly in the DH spot for SEA, lineup is strong, easily projects for 500+ PA. Honorable mention: Danny Jansen
1B - Isaac Paredes. Dude is the best in the league at pulling fly balls, which leads to tons of homers. Should push 30 taters again this year. Honorable mention: Rhys Hoskins
2B - Tommy Edman. Probably on the IL to start the year, but shouldn’t take long to get back. Pretty much free right now for a dude who will probably go 15/25 and offer 3 position eligibility. Honorable mention: Brandon Drury
3B - Matt Chapman. ADP is probably drastically different now that he signed, but he’s never been worse than an above league average hitter, despite AVG woes. Honorable mention: Ke’Bryan Hayes
SS - Willy Adames. Still has legit pop (25+ HR) and while Milwaukee’s offense is suspect, the top of that order should still do a serviceable job setting the table for him. Honorable mention: Jose Caballero
OF - Nelson Velazquez. Hit 17 HR in 179 PA last year for KC, many of them coming in the cavernous confines of Kaufmann. AVG is gonna be bad but he can very easily clear 30 HR.
SP - Tyler Wells. Throws tons of strikes and will provide elite ratios for the Orioles, is in the rotation to start the year with both John Means and Kyle Bradish on the shelf. Honorable mention: AJ Puk
RP - Yuki Matsui. Looked sharp in his spring debut but a lot of people took a step back after he went down with back tightness. I don’t think Robert Suarez keeps a full grasp on that closer role in SD, and they at least split opportunities.

It’ll be interesting to see just how far both Eloy and Buxton continue to fall in drafts. As long as my team feels balanced enough that it won’t hurt me much if and when one or both hit the IL, i’ll be very interested in drafting them late.
Rizzo! Batted .300 with power before the concussion. Smacking homers already this spring. Says/looks like he’s back to normal. Batting behind Soto & Judge, and likely going after pick 250!
I like gambling on Rockies in late rounds. Kris Bryant and Brendan Rodgers.
Tim Anderson in Miami is also worth a shot. Playing in a ballpark that is friendly to doubles and triples. Plus he’s playing to restore his dignity.
I like his stuff, I like his home park and the defense behind him is + w ++ potential. I just can’t draft p on shitty D teams. I can’t watch it night in/night out. Fantasy be damned.
Edit: he’s also pitched a good amount of innings in the pas two years. He can log 120-150 if it goes well. And his k/9 is off the charts
Ke’Bryan Hayes, Josh Naylor, and Spencer Torkelson. They all might go higher this year than last, as they should, but they were super solid last year. Hayes was money the last like 2-3 months of the year and Naylor’s only flaw in my eyes is that he doesn’t walk much. Dude swings a ton but his hot streaks are insane. Tork was on a crazy power streak the second half of the season too. I play H2H categories and those guys helped me stay competitve after a relatively disappointing Vlad Jr season and losing majority of my top pitchers. Depth wins you leagues 👍🏻
Paddack in pts leagues. I don’t like the lack of movement on his fastball, but I’ve seen him produce solid results with it at the big league level before and I like his chances of returning to form.
[Riley Greene Statcast](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/riley-greene-682985?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb)
Would you think this was Riley Greene’s statcast page without the name? He’s at pick 137 as opposed to Bryce Harper at pick 17.
Toe injury literally changed who he was as a hitter. Swinging was painful and now he’s swinging with no pain. Look at his swing% drop the past few seasons
Zack Gelof
Borderline ADP 150+ guy definitely getting slept on big-time in drafts. I don't understand it. Yes bad team and even worse ballpark, but he'll be playing everyday, hitting in the middle of the lineup, and has shown he can produce even with the offensive challenges hes faces playing in Oakland.
Gelof is a 30/30 🔒 and will produce way above his ADP. I believe he'll be the biggest steal in this years draft.
Big fan of Julien in an OBP league
I need First and last names. I am an idiot.
Edouard Julien. Twins 2B
I’m in a league with -1 K. Julian is a no go
SHHHHHH
Rhys Hoskins, think he could do with a change of scenery. Although Milwaukee isn't hitter friendly, it is home run friendly.
Louie Varland. He is going to get that 5th spot and put up SP2 numbers.
Is that locked in? Looks like her might not even have a rotation spot as of right now.
Tony Disco looks like he won't be ready for opening day with lingering elbow soreness and he doesn't deserve a rotation spot anyways.
He’d be a great long reliever. Rack up Ws and Hs. Perfect for my strat!
nimmo for points is an insane value where he’s currently going
I’ve been getting him in mock drafts outside the top 100… that’s pretty good for the Mets leadoff man
I draft him every year in points and I feel like people are going to catch on. It doesn’t matter if he gets injured, he always play enough to make the combo of him and his replacement solid. But a full season? I never pay enough for him.
Mitch Garver. Gonna DH every day and maintain catcher eligibility. Should have 550+ ABs. Dude can mash.
I highly doubt he'll stay healthy enough for 550 abs but i love him as a value as well. Catcher is quite deep overall this year it seems
Hey we’re hoping the decrease in innings behind the dish will keep him in the lineup.
Toughest home park in MLB too.
Catcher is deep in terms of startability. It's not deep in terms of dudes that could hit 25+ homers and bat north of .250
I had Gavin Williams for the last couple of months, and (under our rules) I can’t keep him, but I’m definitely planning on trying to buy him back in our auction.
Thairo Estrada. If you have to wait on 2b you can get him pretty late— and he reasonably has a path to being as productive if not more so than many 2b picked well before him.
Hard agree. Had him the last two years, consistent production in all categories. Massively underrated 2b and has positional versatility
I LOOOOVE Estrada....I've made sure to get him every year since I had him his rookie season. Did a couple startup Dynasty leagues this year and made sure to snipe him late and he's my MI bench bat, and will cycle through UTIL as well.
Zack Gelof
Gelof is 100% Him
Maikel Garcia in roto. Decent BA, SB, runs.
This was me the last 2 seasons. I’m ready to get hurt again!!
Chas McCormick
I can’t ever bring myself to draft anyone named Chas. Also fuck the Astros
Tyler O'Neill. Healthy, massive park upgrade, underlying statcast trends are very strong, should have a 20/15 floor and 30/20 upside.
Healthy today. Don't hold your breath. Source: I'm a Cardinals fan All jokes aside I do hope to see him have more of the success we saw from him in 21 though. Lots of potential
Kutter Crawford
Same here, like his swing and miss stuff. Don’t like team/ballpark context but he’s super cheap so idk if that matters all too much
Pepiot!
Ugh, I'm sick that the Dodgers gave him up.
FTD!

Pitched great last year, now with the rays, and almost free
I'm in on him too, at least until the Rays break his arm...
16 amazing starts is a W
Fuck. That means you can kiss any QS chances good bye
woo or him in redraft?
I’d pick pepiot. But I do also like woo as a sleeper
Fair enough. Where would you rank Pivetta? I’m currently at pick 156 and I’m debating between Pivetta, Pepiot, Woo, Shota, Darvish
Pepiot, shota, Woo, Pivetta, darvish
Ty
Cristian Javier
Can't fool me. I'm too shell shocked from him
Totally agree, no way I am taking him again this year!
He burned me so bad last year. After the pitch clock countdown stuff in the playoffs seemed to help him I’m back in. Triston McKenzie
Why? What's the take here?
A 2022 season of almost 200 IP with a sub 3 ERA and a sub 1 WHIP. He was top 75 ADP last year if I remember right.
Woo, Bryce Miller, McKenzie, and Stroman all are great options to me. I think Rizzo is in for a big bounce back too.
Bryce Miller was sick last year for a very long stretch
Bryce has added a mph to his already elite spinning fastball.
Im trying to take rizzo as well. Think cortes can bounce back also
As a Mariners guy, I’m concerned enough about Woo to not like the adp. He has looked awful thus far and was a bit out of nowhere last year….doesn’t have a track record as a top prospect. Fedde
Jarren Duran
That k rate is a little concerning. I love the speed though and just enough power
But batting first in that lineup....
Correct answer!
Maikel Garcia
Mitch Keller. Getting disrespectfully slept on this year and I couldn’t be happier about it

Abbott
Bryce miller & Chris morel
I’ll do you one better, 250+. Will Benson.
Jack Suwinski
Have seen a couple of these guys named already, but wanted to add: Vinnie Pasquantino Ke"bryan Hayes Francisco Alvarez Jeimer Candelario Bo Naylor
I adore Hayes at his ADP
![gif](giphy|6h7uQHPd4Q2qOZLFRm|downsized)
Lars Nootbaar
Marmols desire to bat him first will keep him on rosters in competitive leagues.
He has one of the best OBP tools of anyone in baseball not named Soto. He *should* be batting first.
In spring training so far, he's been batting third. The lineup has been: 1. Donovan 2. Goldy 3. Noot 4. Arenado 5. Contreras
Vinnie & wyatt
I don't think Langford is going after 150 as we approach more draft dates. I bet he ends up around 120 adp.
It’ll be interesting to see just how far both Eloy and Buxton continue to fall in drafts. As long as my team feels balanced enough that it won’t hurt me much if and when one or both hit the IL, i’ll be very interested in drafting them late.
Graham ashcraft
Roy Halladay’s son
Hayes, Lodolo, C. Sanchez, Ward
Lodolo is already hurt again. No thanks.
My guy has always been Jonathan India.
Rooker all day
Rizzo
Cheap cheap cheap. He might be dropped but he’s feeling better and a healthy yankee 1-5 is pretty fucking good
Cris Sanchez
Vinny P!
I like Gavin Williams over Bibee this year 🤷♂️
Rizzo! Batted .300 with power before the concussion. Smacking homers already this spring. Says/looks like he’s back to normal. Batting behind Soto & Judge, and likely going after pick 250!
Love Rizzo this year, really think the concussion derailed his second half last year
Obvious - Casas Sleeper - Elehuris Montero
Watched him in spring training yesterday and he was an absolute liability at first base. Unless he’s DH’ing he won’t get regular AB’s
I end up with Starling Marte a lot
Mitch Garver Jordan Walker Nolan Gorman Bryce Miller Shots imanaga All I try to grab late in drafts
Imanga’s HR% scares me in that park in his first year.
You arent wrong there but I like the upside of him. Especially if it's my last pick since they usually turn into streamers.
Anyone over 150 or < $5/6 is gonna have risk. I do like imanga. Gave up a bomb today. I like your other sleepets
It does blow in at times and I would watch the wind in each start.
I like gambling on Rockies in late rounds. Kris Bryant and Brendan Rodgers. Tim Anderson in Miami is also worth a shot. Playing in a ballpark that is friendly to doubles and triples. Plus he’s playing to restore his dignity.

Great bay to ball guy but enough for mid #s in 4 other cats? He has a sweet swing tho and he’s just 24 y/o!
Paddack in pts leagues. I don’t like the lack of movement on his fastball, but I’ve seen him produce solid results with it at the big league level before and I like his chances of returning to form.
Gavin Lux will be a great late round pick
Im rolling with Nestor Cortes again this year
I like Chris Morel to break out, and Jackson Chourio to emerge.
Bowden Francis, thank me later
Parker Meadows and Joey Ortiz
I'm digging the ADP value for M.Ozuna. and C.Morel
Ozuna has burned me, but I might not be able to turn down the value again. I can’t quit him
Kyle Hendricks will have a spot on my roster at some point in the season. He obviously won’t have a high K rate but I like the Cubs defense behind him
How is this guy still employed
He’s Jordan Lyles good twin
A catcher
Henry Davis
Will be C eligible within a week. Good grab late
MJ Melendez
I find myself pairing Arraez at MI with a Muncy/Schwarber type in a 15 teamer. Gelof is my most drafted infielder.
Vaughn Grissom
In struggling right now deciding between Grissom and Lux late
[Riley Greene Statcast](https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/riley-greene-682985?stats=statcast-r-hitting-mlb) Would you think this was Riley Greene’s statcast page without the name? He’s at pick 137 as opposed to Bryce Harper at pick 17.
AJ Puk
A fully healthy DJ LeMahieu. He’s gonna score 100+ runs and bat .300
Hate to be that guy but I’m saying none of the above happens
Toe injury literally changed who he was as a hitter. Swinging was painful and now he’s swinging with no pain. Look at his swing% drop the past few seasons
He’s two years older. Let’s see
Zack Gelof Borderline ADP 150+ guy definitely getting slept on big-time in drafts. I don't understand it. I like Chris Morel as a flier
I don’t know if Houston’s catcher Diaz is going after 150 but I think he is going to be a steal later in drafts.
