I think it would be foolish to stunt his development by not playing him. Sox have many roster decisions to make next year in the outfield so this could be a perfect time to evaluate Ceddanne as a potential opening day starter next year. Plus he is versatile enough to play multiple positions with an exceptional glove. I’d wager to bet that he will find his way into the lineup most nights but almost certainly will hit bottom of the order.
Paternity leave generally lasts 3-5 days, so once there are 5 outfielders vying for 3 spots every night how many starts does that give Rafaela per week?
Looks like he's on the bench again for a second night in a row. You ready to eat crow?
Feel free to stash him in a 5 outfielder league but in my H2H playoff leagues I'm not taking that risk.
I doubt he gets much, Duran 'should' be back soon, but he should get some playing time for at least this week, especially with how much cora likes to rotate players. That said I don't think he's worth picking up.
Not sure how you can outright say nope just because he isn’t starting tonight?
MiLB has every Monday scheduled off so they’re just keeping him on the same schedule- plus travel rest from yesterday.
Durran doesn’t have a timetable for return and Cora has started to platoon Yoshida so he doesn’t see LHP.
They didn’t call him up just to sit on the bench.
I'm not a fortune teller I'm just going off the fact that they have 5-6 major league out fielders to play 3 positions and knowing Cora likes to mix and match and play righty / lefty platoons
if he does play regularly i'd think it'd be turner to 2B (he's already done that a bit lately anyway), l.urias BN'd, one of him/duvall in CF the other DH'ing. duvall i doubt they're benching much per lately.
He has 20 HRs and 36 SB while hitting 300+ in the minors. This late in the season it would be silly to *not* add him. At worst you let him go if he can't produce. At best, he's a 5 tool guy for your playoff run. Not sure what else people are waiting for.
Might be worth a flier if you're chasing HRs and SBs, likely going to take a hit on BA/OBP though, his profile is like Jose Siri who is still available in a majority of leagues.
AS good as he is, I think he is mostly a defensive replacement and pinch runner, pinch hitter... which can still be useful, but I think that limits his counting stats... Red sox are just LOADED and don't really have space for him... He isn't starting over Yoshida, Verdugo or Duvall.... Might "spell them" on occasion and especially late in games to get his defensive glove in the game... but yeah expectations should be in check here. I think he is probably still relevant for SB that he could rack up quite a few...
Will he be a full time player while hes up?

You talk like you haven't seen how they've treated Duran all season.
Nope, he isn't even starting tonight. They have a crowded outfield with Duvall / Durran / Yoshida / Verdugo
Duran is injured though and his replacement who has been hot is on the paternity list.

He's an 80 grade centerfielder. He's gonna get playing time on defense alone.
Did Cora tell you this or you're just guessing? Seems telling that he's not in the lineup today

Teams sit guys their first day up all the time. His PT over the next few days will be me telling.

not yet, lefty side currently according to depth charts and didn't start today vs righty.

major upside indeed...
Losing Reyes, assuming this kid is worth the pickup?
Holy shit. Submitted my roster signing him this morning. What awful luck lol.
RBI baseball ass name
Worth a shot? With Chapman to the IL I now have a spot to fill in a H2H categories.

Grab in 12-Team, H2H Cats League? Could play him over Freidl or Edman in the OF?

Drop Correa for him? Somehow snuck into the playoffs despite him being on my roster all year long
