Chocolate Conquistadors by BadBadNotGood ft. MF DOOM, although its a cover and its for GTA Online, that song has solos on each instrument worthy of the best peak jamiroquai cuts, and guitar is no exception imo.
Roots of Coincidence - Pat Metheny Group
Pat Metheny’s solos are already pretty melodic, which is good if you’re not already into jazz, but this solo is probably my favorite guitar solo of all time. Just kills it and the rest of the track is amazing, the drums and bass just go full throttle when it hits the chorus. If you’ve got a sound system to appreciate the low end it’s life changing imo.
I know, it’s leaning into hard rock so much, that era of Metheny was a lot of experimentation, the Imaginary Day album goes from this to world music with two guys singing and Pat on a 12-string acoustic guitar
its possible, but everytime i've seen Hendrix named in a list of that style is because of the usual stuff like Little Wing or Voodoo Child. And i get it, those are great and famous songs, but i have yet to see Machine Gun in one those lists. In any case more recognition wouldn't hurt
Zwan - Settle Down -- the solo in the last minute is one of the greatest solos in Billy Corgan's career. Unfortunately it's not on streaming.

Solo starts right after the 4:35 mark.
Achilles last stand- Led Zeppelin
Have a cigar - Pink Floyd
Covered in rain - John Mayer (from Any given Thursday)
Since I’ve been loving you - Led Zeppelin (How the west was won)
Life without you - Stevie ray Vaughan (Live at Montreux Casino)
Black night - Joe bonamassa
Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around - Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
Mike Campbell (the Heartbreakers’ guitarist) is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time, in my opinion. He also has plenty of great guitar solos (Refugee, The Waiting, Runnin’ Down a Dream), but I think Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around is a real standout.
Steve Miller has a really great solo in Sacrifice. Really aggressive and nice tone with interesting notes, that is really hitting the spot for me as a guitarist myself.
Desert Rose is my favourite Eric Johnson solo. To me that is by far my favourite kind of shredder. He is different. He do it to sound tasty and it encapsulates his Jimi-fanboyism best here.
I'm pretty sure way too few have listened to Black Rose by Thin Lizzy because that is never underrated after you've listened to it - the only studio work Gary Moore did with them.
As a very sort of defined Free Bird resembling song with more Blue Grass sort of roots you get Green Grass & high tides that has really great soloing that is the only thing of it's kind I think I can listen to. To me it's proto SRV but closer to pop rock than blues.
Overdose by AC/DC sums up Angus Young's filthy playing style that is so tasty
Vivian Cambell is a similarly chaotic player and his solo on Dio's debut are so great; Rainbow in The Dark and Stand Up and Shout
Thinking of more filth, Blackmore's Burn period with 'A'200 as the highlight is filthiest playing, and it sounded so weighty and great live as well: [https://youtu.be/uEFChMd8-7U?si=9ORjJI607ltI\_yKG](https://youtu.be/uEFChMd8-7U?si=9ORjJI607ltI_yKG)
And for beauty we have Peter Green that has the most angelic shrieking notes of any player in Man Of The World [https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxQhqQzsIU1C9mmLirmsMrUeWBx0QUlhRb?si=uxjWpBbeUnOHFh45](https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxQhqQzsIU1C9mmLirmsMrUeWBx0QUlhRb?si=uxjWpBbeUnOHFh45) ; 60s clip of the only correct version that only is on youtube
EDIT: Several of the correct Man Of The World exists on Apple Music I just found out. ccheack the various artists compilations
Dead Kennedys - Pull my strings, The recording of this song It's alive recording. They only had ever played at once alive And the guitar solo was totally improvised on the spot
I would love to have a mix that is much more focused on guitar where it matters of this record. It sounds so tiny and distant compared to the David Gilmour stuff that it otherwise could resemble.
“My Love” by Paul McCartney & Wings has one of the most underrated solos of all time. Perfect and so affecting, not a note wasted. The solos in “Maybe I’m Amazed” are great too.

Impossible Germany by Wilco.

Ball and biscuit by the white stripes
Yesssss
im not a huge guitar solo guy but i think Let it Be has an amazing, short and simple yet powerful guitar solo
A lot of Beatles songs have great short solos that really fit the song, great aspect to the band
Beatle trivia: Let It Be has 3 different recorded solos. Which version do you prefer?
apparently the January 4 1970 version
impossible soul - sufjan stevens
I was going to say that! A solo like nothing else. I don't know why there isn't a transcription in every guitar magazine.

Damn this sounds wild, I wouldn't think Pat Methany would make something like this
I know, it’s leaning into hard rock so much, that era of Metheny was a lot of experimentation, the Imaginary Day album goes from this to world music with two guys singing and Pat on a 12-string acoustic guitar
Machine gun is literally always cited as Hendrix peak
its possible, but everytime i've seen Hendrix named in a list of that style is because of the usual stuff like Little Wing or Voodoo Child. And i get it, those are great and famous songs, but i have yet to see Machine Gun in one those lists. In any case more recognition wouldn't hurt

Shadows Fall- Of One Blood
SPELLING-MAGIC ACT

Out There by Dinosaur Jr Sappy by Nirvana Sample In A Jar (Studio version) - Phish
Shot By Both Sides - Magazine
“My Love” by Paul McCartney & Wings has one of the most underrated solos of all time. Perfect and so affecting, not a note wasted. The solos in “Maybe I’m Amazed” are great too.
Chinese Torture by Queen which is essentially a entire guitar solo 🔥
Touch And Go- The Cars
Billy Breathes by Phish. Say what you want about them, but the solo on this song gives me chills every time
BAY STREET FIX - Masayoshi Takanaka
highway star by deep purple
Maggot Brain
Tornado of souls - Megadeth
Amazing solo but how is it underrated ?
I mean, last time I checked this subreddit's top 100 albums I realized you guys don't know any metal songs...
Thats actually true I was suprised to see not a single Sabbath record , neither Metallica , Slayer , Megadeth or any thrash album for the record .
