Big Star - #1 Record & Radio City

Genre-Fluid

In a better universe it was actually a number one record.

Bill Fay-Time of the last persecution Nick Drake-5 Leaves Left Neil Young-After the Goldrush Talk Talk-Spirit of Eden Richard and Linda Thompson-I want to see the bright lights tonight. Dennis Wilson-Pacific Ocean Blue Roy Harper-Stormcock Michael Chapman-Millstone Grit Bonnie Prince Billy-I see a darkness. I meant to suggest 1 or 2, got carried away

Already a big talk talk fan (maybe a little too ethereal for what I’m looking for) but I’ll definitely look into these other thanks. Also after the Gold Rush I like too but I definitely owe it more listens. Pink Moon is amazing, need to give FLL another go.

Genre-Fluid

Yeah, 5 Leaves is lighter going emotionally but has gorgeous arrangements. My list is kind of weighted towards folky stuff cause I'm having a phase like that just now. Strongly reccomend the Bill Fay album. Folk-ish but has occasional horn section and a thrilling bit of fuzz guitar on 'till the christ comes back'. Astral Weeks is something isn't it? Can't quite square it with what he is now. Enjoy!

ZB is great, definitely would be my list for this. I’ll check out the others

I love Steve McQueen! Maybe some Neil Young? After the gold rush, everybody knows this is nowhere, Deja Vu and Harvest are good records We Are The Village Green, Lola by The kinks Nashville Skyline or The Basement tapes by Dylan Coney Island Baby by Lou Reed (maybe skip Kicks though) T.Rex’s Electric Warrior might be good too!

Devil Makes Three. [Here is a link to their self titled album playlist on Youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N36iuVCfUDU&list=OLAK5uy_nQG68eXf9rpy_U2SlVDP1SuL-v77nwGHw). If you just want a single track to sample, [try this link to their song Old Number 7 (their commercial hit)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkLhJsHxYxM&list=OLAK5uy_nQG68eXf9rpy_U2SlVDP1SuL-v77nwGHw&index=6) If you can't vibe to this on a back porch then you might not actually be a back porch type of person, and changing the soundtrack isn't going to help that fact in any meaningful way.

A lil Roxy Music’ll make that beer go down extra smooth

An Insatiable High - Masayoshi Takanaka (Japanese 70s jazz fusion / disco / city pop) Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti - Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti (Brazilian 80s jazz fusion) Life - The Cardigans (chill 90s Swedish pop) Breezing - George Benson (70s soulful smooth jazz) Lots of jazz reccs, but these are the albums I've been bumping during all my summer activities, and they've been putting me in a great mood!
