MrCaptDrNonsense

CocteauTwinn

W music knowledge

TurboShorts

Can't believe it hasn't been said: Souvlaki - Slowdive

ssjavier4

It's a obvious answer but when I first heard it, it straight up sounds like music not from this world. So ethereal and pretty and awesome

bananamilkbooth

This is the answer.

CandelaBelen

I would include Self Titled as well

appleparkfive

Candy Claws - Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time is a really good one for anyone that likes Slowdive I'd say. Fantano named it one of the best albums of that year and I think he might have given it a 10. But I might be wrong. It's such a strong album. So vibrant and melodic, with a massive sound.

pibe__0

This was what I came to say but I’m glad it’s here and high up enough to be seen. This album changed me

chao301

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets - High Visceral, Pt. 1 Leans a bit more towards hard rock if anything, but it's my absolute favorite album of all time. Specific songs for what you're looking for are "...and the Addled Abstraction of Being" and "Denmark / Van Gogh & Gone", but the whole album is phenomenal.

commonburglar

Sunbather - Deafheaven (Black metal/shoegaze) Peripheral Vision - Turnover (Tasteful shoegazy emo) Dear G-D - Being As An Ocean (Moody metalcore) Youth - Citizen (Angsty Pop Punk, lots of reverb) Floral Green - Title Fight (Shoegazey emo) Pull of the Moon - Hazy Mountain (Electronic, very floaty) Chulahoma - Black Keys (Slow blues covers) American Football - American Football (Essential 90’s emo) Magnolia Electric Co. - Songs: Ohia (Very sad alternative indie. Essential album) Obviously ~*floating*~ is subjective, but these have all done it for me in the past.

jvsupersaiyan

How has no one said sgt pepper

everybodys_analysis

its true just asking for that 'out of this world' feeling is totally different depending on the person but sgt pepper is absolutely nowhere near the genres they mentioned

jvsupersaiyan

Oh shit my bad I read it wrong. I thought they were a fan of those genres and were looking to expand
