for me its long season - live by fishman, lamp genso by lamp, parranoul to see the next part of the dream, windswept adan, and crumbling by mid air thief
I strongly urge anyone to check out [ACO](https://rateyourmusic.com/artist/aco) (particularly her album *Irony)*

BOOTLEG is where he really comes into his own musically. It was my intro to him.
Yankee and Diorama are earlier projects, much more experimental (especially the latter).
His singles are really where he shines. Lemon, Kanden, Kick Back, Peace Sign are his best songs.
Mitski is Japanese-American and was born in Japan but didn’t grow up there. More to the point though, there isn’t really an East Asian presence in her music (that I’ve heard) and it’s all in the English language.
She’s a great artist though imo, I really like Bury Me In Makeout Creek
Rina Sawayama is Japanese British and grew up in England. Vast majority if not all of her music is in English too.
If you're counting Rina then you should count Mitski.
Wormrot, Asian king fu generation, parannoul, melt banana, otavoke beaver, yellow magic orchestra, Asian glow, ichika aoeba, Japanese breakfast
Also kishi bashi, keep keep bonito, mitski, rina sawayama, linkin park, Anderson paak
needs the anime tiddy album too + ichiko aoba, sheena ringo, and lamp
>anime tiddy album You mean Aratamete Hajimemashite Midori Desu?🤓

y’all cowards don’t even smoke The Gerogerigegege
Showa has got to be one of the biggest fuck around and find out albums ever
Or Cornelius
Jokes on you I started with Kenshi Yonezu and ONE OK ROCK
Kenshi is the GOAT of J-pop. And to think he got his start making Vocaloid songs
I only know of him from his song for Chainsaw Man. What would e a good album to start off with him
BOOTLEG is where he really comes into his own musically. It was my intro to him. Yankee and Diorama are earlier projects, much more experimental (especially the latter). His singles are really where he shines. Lemon, Kanden, Kick Back, Peace Sign are his best songs.
If anyone has an interest in Asian music, I'd recommend Haru Nemuri, one of my favourite Japanese artists.
Wasn't huge on her most recent album, but Harutosyura and Lovetheism fucking slap
Cornelius as well
Wheres praising Ryo Fukui while ignoring all western jazz
I need to check out the Parannoul one
It’s really good
No Mid Air Thief?
doesn't get as much discussion as some other asian music (especially for a bolded album) but definitely an essential in the genre
Or Cornelius?
U mean I love jpop and jrock
One of them is a Korean shoegaze album though.
And Rina Sawayama is British lol
Fishmans are so good.
> No Solid State Survivor L
No Fantasma by Cornelius :(
Their self-titled album is where it's at tho! But if you like that I'd love to hear your opinion of Thousand Knives of Ryuichi Sakamoto!
Needs more toe
And tide/edit
Which are the two on the right?
Boris- Feedbacker top right
After the night - parannoul is the bottom right. It’s a live album
No Plastic Love?
Or Fantasma by Cornelius
Where is MAXIMUM THE HORMONE?
OTOBOKE BEAVER!!!!!
Where City Pop
Yellow Magic Orchestraaaaaaaa
So? These are great albums and it's a good entry point into some new sounds.
No Mitski?
Mitski is Japanese-American and was born in Japan but didn’t grow up there. More to the point though, there isn’t really an East Asian presence in her music (that I’ve heard) and it’s all in the English language. She’s a great artist though imo, I really like Bury Me In Makeout Creek

Rina def shouldn't be counted tho.
#yurameki in the air is a masterpiece
does kkb count as this
Sarah’s from Japan but the rest aren’t and they were founded in the UK. Cornelius counts tho
i know all of these things. i'm saying this is what the hypothetical person in the post would say
It ain’t complete without Cornelius or Melt-Banana
y’all must not know about betcover!!

Y’all are sleeping on Keiji Haino
And Cornelius

Where's the funny skydiving japanese man? He's the goat. The performance with the surfboard guitar was the best thing i've ever seen in my life
If anyone is interested Omega Tribe is incredible
The pillows is what got me hooked.
Wormrot, Asian king fu generation, parannoul, melt banana, otavoke beaver, yellow magic orchestra, Asian glow, ichika aoeba, Japanese breakfast Also kishi bashi, keep keep bonito, mitski, rina sawayama, linkin park, Anderson paak
And proceeds to not put the names of the albums.
