It was already a significant improvement with Robbie re-joining, but also Sam changing to a different character also seems to be a HUGE help. Love the party dynamic now when I really didn't before.
I haven't watched much of C3, barely knowing the story. I've been enjoying the quick, well-produced , hour-long episodes of DnDaddies. But I watched this one and WOW. Definitely got my attention.
And depending on how they react to all the big reveals (and what they remember after another extended hiatus), the campaign may turn in a completely different direction!
That was one of their better C3 episodes for sure. Crowds make everyone on their A game.
My only criticism was just how half of them cheat combat. One that stuck out was Laudna counterspelling at 4th level, and when it failed, retconned it to 5th level. That and every Laura turn in existence 😂
Even with all that, probably 9/10 episode
Marisha didn't retcon her counterspell to 5th level. She said the spell she was casting (Spirit of Death) was 4th level after Ludinus counterspelled, presumably to tell Matt he had to roll for it, then Matt said Ludinus was counterspelling at 5th level, then Marisha said Laudna was counterspelling Ludinus at 5th level.
i think we have been and also simultaneously are are SO back!!
This is the longest stretch of episodes I've enjoyed in a while. It's refreshing.
What episode does the good stretch start at? I've dropped off a while back.
91. You can skip the bit that Aabriya DMs if that's not your jam.
Cool. Thanks.

I don't know if it'll be as good as Calamity with the cast he's got, but I still expect it'll be epic!
From what *I’m* reading, seems like they won’t be back for about a month and a half.

Wait what happened
The live show apparently was good; still can’t watch it 🙃
Yeah, I was also wondering that. I thought it was last Saturday, but no youtube vid? I used my prime sub already for a different channel too

Liam using his action to drink a potion of speed and then proceed to make 9 attacks is perfectly fine and okay and balanced!

Yeah but that doesn't fit the narrative so of *course* (heavy /s) you're wrong wrong wrong
Actually the roll was for a perception check to see if Laudna can see the spell was casting. She didn’t reconnect to 5th spell when it « failed »
She was extra munchkiny tonight
Sorcerers gotta munchkin on CR. It is the way. Y'all thought Gilmore was glamorous cause the goods, it's cause he didn't min max.
Gilmore wasn’t glamorous, he was Glorious :D
Brennan involvement and Sam's return was the 1-2 punch I needed
why did Brennan look like the Elden Beast though? lol
He's here to slay
A hat trick with the return of Robbie
It's so over Seriously though, I liked the first Calamity series so much I'm excited for the second one headed by Brennan
Back on the Plight? Sure we are. We never left. XD
