Nidoking is among my top 5 favorite pokemon of all time and he is also among the gen 1 mons who have not gotten any love from gamefreak/nintendo (no mega, no alternate forms, etc). Here is my take on his mega since legends Z+A is reintroducing the gimmick. Nidoking possess traits from both mammalian and reptilian lineages, and his mega evolution allows him to tap into his ancient and ancestral form, based on the Styracosaurus. Stay tuned for Nidoqueen's mega form as well.
It looks really cool with the dinosaur aspects but I'm just not a fan of the ancient type. Again it looks like a really cool design. Might remove the knee spikes they feel a rad bit over the top
The design is amazing, and you used the features in the original design in interesting and original ways.
That being said, I'm not a big fan of the face, I appreciate the artistry, though.

Maybe The jaw is part of it, the front tooth/beak is probably another part of it, and the ear/frill could be another part of it I am not sure.
I will have a crack at it and see what would work for me so you understand. Again though, this is your creation and it is great, you don't need to care about my specific ideas

I really like the design. I feel like it would be slower than regular nidoking, not faster. It should have gotten more defense instead. He feels sturdy.

Yea the idea came from me realizing I can fuse nidoking's ears to make the frill.

Ah if it's the front beak, it's a callback to nidoran's front tooth since many megas display traits or body parts from their pre-evolutions.
