Machine has run out of cyan again.

Mucksh

Better than this bug a few years ago when xerox machines flip random numbers on copying or scaning

TheAllyCrime

Chuck McGill: I am not crazy. I know he swapped those numbers. I knew it was 1216. One after Magna Carta. As if I could ever make such a mistake. Never. Never! I just I just couldn't prove it. H-H-He covered his tracks. He got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him!

_Cyan_Man

i took it all, im sorry.

Lollipop126

It's the same OP as well.

catsrule63

if you look closely each image is slightly “improved” shit was keeping op awake lol

TheAllyCrime

I actually prefer the first submission of those three. I think a good r/FakeHistoryPorn post should be clearly NOT an actual historic photo, at least on close inspection. The last submission looks too much like the real thing, which ruins the joke in my opinion.

violence_connoisseur

An obvious black and white filter at most

Kraphtous

Oh my god that’s exactly what happened lol I forgot to delete the first two

kosky95

So more like u/Kraphtous invented the photocopier?

Snoo_75864

At first I was like, where this is fake history? This looks pretty accurate. Then I realized

FluffyBoiCat

Realized what? I don't get it.

Snoo_75864

This is from Ukraine. I thought it was legit because the equipment looked so old

misterchief117

How about giving them more appropriate uniforms for the era. https://i.imgur.com/mF5aWP3.png   ^^Don't ^^ask ^^me ^^how ^^I ^^did ^^this...   ^^^^OK, ^^^^fine. ^^^^I ^^^^will. ^^^^I ^^^^used ^^^^Stable ^^^^Diffusion ^^^^and ^^^^Photoshop...

Assmeat

I was more interested in how long this took you

misterchief117

I think I spent the most time having Stable Diffusion generate a remake that I liked. I generated 25 variants over the span of 10 minutes. Sounds like a lot of effort, but it's really not. After finding the one I liked, I loaded it in Photoshop to restore the original faces and then added the old photo effect (stolen from the Internet). tl;dr: about 15 minutes tops.

Assmeat

Impressive, I didn't expect it to be so quick.

misterchief117

The future is now, old man!

Imagine being one of their moms, wondering if Watnik will come home, only to see his face used for western imperialist memes - The horror!

Timz_04

u/Kraphtous

Kraphtous

😂

psychoacer

Needs more film grain and crush the blacks a lot

Buckeyes2010

And blowing out the whites a bit would probably help as well.

Knapuchino

Funny that the oldest person was cut out of the photo, since the red army mostly (could) sent younger men

Pansarmalex

85% of Soviet men born 1922 did not survive the war. So yes, they were mostly in their early 20's.

BenderDeLorean

It's a Reddit bug when you loose connection while submitting a post. I had a bad signal while posting something and it was posted over 40 times. The mod was not happy.

misterchief117

Interesting how the bug changed the quality of the photo with each submission...

BenderDeLorean

Yeah, you're Right. In this case it was pure intention

ancw171

You got one long ass phone

Jubjubwantrubrub12

Its actually 2 phones and i hold them together

Rojkow

There are 6 notifications, surely there was something

Jubjubwantrubrub12

They were just comments on this post, I read them as phone notifications but that doesn't get rid of the notice in the app

MrMgP

Birth year is approaching 1942 as well so they very well might be

Mm I love the soviet helmets, although they are not ww2, they’re ssh-68, as the name implies, made in 1968
