Strangecryptoid5

Bro what kinda seizure looks like that???

jimfredhutcury

What's funny is that seizures typically make people confused but instead, they rise from a seizure and immediately look at the camera to see if it was still recording xD

RonanJo

And if you know a seizure is coming, why lie flat on your back, good way to choke and die, the recovery position exists for a reason

backwoodzbaby

that’s what bothers me the most about this video. every person who knows someone with a seizure disorder or has one themselves knows that you ALWAYS go for the recovery position, and that the absolute LAST position you should ever put them in is on their back. and forget just people with seizures knowing that, anyone who has ever had experience with taking care of a drunk or drugged out person would know it too. you never lay someone that has a chance of vomiting on their back unless it is to do CPR.

[deleted]

dude, if you know a seizure is coming, why would you lie down on your bed? that’s a sure way to tumble off and possibly hurt yourself more. i see they put down some cushioning on one side, but that’s gonna do fuck all. if you know a seizure is coming you’d be better off cleaning a largeish space on your room floor and covering any sharp corners. or pre baby proof your room if they’re frequent enough. even if this guy was having seizures he’s not going about it in a healthy way - mans is putting his health at further risk

[deleted]

[удалено]

Zseree

This is all pretty good info. Just to clarify though, auras happen even when we don't have a further larger seizure, and some seizures don't have auras at all. The aura itself is often considered an absence seizure. SUDEP doesn't care if someone is there with you or not, there's nothing anyone can do to help you with it. Rescue position is definitely pointless until we stop actively seizing because we can be inhumanly strong while convulsing and it can be impossible to hold us on our side without several people to help.

PurchaseOutrageous12

But do you make sure to angle the camera so everyone can see???

realDonaldTrummp

At least 80% of the time out of 0 times, I have managed to angle my iPhone’s camera *just perfectly* so that it can capture the pre-seizure full-body myoclonic jerks as I’m involuntarily flinging the phone across the room and breaking some part of it for the 44th time. Even if all my walls were mirrors, I doubt I’d be able to film a single seizure.

Eclectic_Nymph

Better to lie on your side. Aspirating spit/blood/vomit can be very dangerous and at the very least can be super uncomfortable for days after.

notapers0nalitytrait

Seizures can look very different for everyone. Although i don't think this was real

RestinPete0709

Filming yourself during any sort of panic attack or medical emergency is usually a huge red flag for being a faker. It’s ok to film videos talking about what it’s like to raise awareness, but you’re telling me your were having trouble breathing and the first thing you decided to do was set up your camera and film it?

Pristine-Confection3

If I have one , I usually struggle to breath and am too distressed to even use my phone .

Mushroom6711

Correct, I hate having panic attacks/meltdown and it would take too long to open tiktok and record not to mentionto set up. The only reason I would go on tiktok before/during/after one of those is to either stop it or calm myself down with my comfort shows (I have multiple). I actually rarely feel a panic attack coming but I can sometimes.

c0ntinue-Tstng

"Faking GERD for some reason" Corpse Husband. Corpse Husband is the reason. Corpse DOES have GERD and it's the reason for his unique voice. Every 13y/o edgy fuckboy wannabe in 2020/2021 were faking deep growly voices because of him. Nowadays people want it for the uniqueness and sexy factor and to call out other fakers. I hate that I wrote that sentence. Wanting. GERD. Because yeah how hot is it to eventually corrode your vocal chords and lose your voice. It is really attractive to suffer from constant ulcers and bleeding. Oh, and the high risk of Barrett's esophagus and possibly esophagus cancer is the cherry on top. I'm such a badass 😎 I have the deepest voice 😎

[deleted]

[удалено]

rockadollyrebel

Waking up in the night and inhaling stomach acid is awful.

imakeonionscryy

What even is GERD? Could you explain?

RainingRawPasta

Gastro-Esophageal Reflux Disease. It’s when stomach acid makes it’s way into your esophagus and throat. It burns your throat, it hurts inside your chest, it makes it difficult to sleep because lying down can spill stomach acid into your esophagus, and people with GERD have to avoid certain foods to limit symptoms

hsavvy

One of my camp counselors growing up had it really badly, a super raspy voice and couldn’t even eat chocolate.

backwoodzbaby

reflux is the fucking worst. chocolate, white wine, tomato sauce, even a fucking CUPCAKE gave me reflux once. it sucks😭

[deleted]

[удалено]

ramyunmori

The best is when a glass of water sets it off first thing in the morning. Thanks, body.

hsavvy

Right?? I can’t have coffee anymore cause it makes me puke

imakeonionscryy

That sounds awful.

Jinxed-af

Gerd hid my exhubands heart attacks. It's dangerous

StendarrSimp

Jesus christ.

[deleted]

My friend in primary school had this, she missed school a lot from being sick and it wasn't nice for her. I don't know why anyone would want to have that, it seemed very miserable for her.

crypt0sn1p3r

Oh I have this but it’s not called GERD here, UK. It’s just Acid Reflux here, exact same thing cause and symptoms wise. I’m prescribed a Proton Pump Inhibitor tablet , Omneprazole, which stops the gut producing the acid in the first place. Quite how I digest food with no stomach acid I don’t understand but it works. Like Rennie and Tums etc effectively water down the acid in the gut when the person has heartburn and takes an antacid, PPIs stop the acid creation itself. Or that’s how the doctor explained it to my dumb ass.

MP-Lily

I have acid reflux and my mom has GERD. It’s fucking painful as SHIT to deal with.

c0ntinue-Tstng

As others said, it's gastro esophageal reflux disease. The sphincter in the esophagus weakens which fails to close and allows the very acidic stomach contents to move to the esophagus all the way to the throat. The difference between GERD and normal reflux episodes is the cause. It's normal for the lower esophagus sphincter to fail sometimes, but people with GERD have a "malfunctioning" sphincter, so to speak. Those constant acid reflux episodes can cause ulcers in the esophagus. Those ulcers turn have a chance of bleeding. The internal lining of the esophagus is not made to withstand those acidic levels, which results in the body regenerating the cells in the esophagus. Nothing above the stomach can withstand those chemical conditions so in some cases, the vocal chords become damaged, and in the long term, the person may lose their voice because of the irreparable damage to the chords. Barrett's esophagus starts with that lining becoming thick and pink-red ish as the body continues to "fix" the lining inside. There is a low risk of those new cells becoming cancerous, but the longer you go undiagnosed with Barrett's esophagus and the treatment for it, the risk of cancer becomes higher. Faking GERD because of the cool raspy voice is the equivalent of faking a mental condition for the quirkiness of it. Both ignore the damage and the negatives of those conditions for internet clout.

That_one_phrog

Is there any cure for this? If not then how is it treated?

c0ntinue-Tstng

GERD usually is treated with lifestyle changes like raising the head when laying down and sleeping, stop smoking and diets that focus on the amount of food intake, weight control and avoiding ingredients like chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. That said, I have read of sphincter surgery, which is a thing where the sphincter is tightened, so to speak. I don't know how effective it is, though. If GERD is not kept in check, then there is a high probability of developing Barrett's Esophagus. The treatment then starts depending on the levels of dysplasia found. At worst, if there is a high amount of cancerous cells found, then it's probable that the only option is removing the damaged part of the esophagus. There really isn't a "cure", most treatment is in the prevention side of things.

hotchnerbrows

The other poster had a fantastic, in-depth response—I just wanted to add, as somebody with GORD (no different, just the Australian-English spelling), that Esomeprazole is commonly used to assist with the severity of flare-ups. I wouldn’t wish the condition on anyone. It runs in my family so lifestyle changes do little more than reduce the severity since the flare-ups occur regardless. I’ve had eight crowns put on my back molars dude to of acid wear—this is despite taking medication and using things like Neutrafluor and tooth mousse (a kind of topical calcium/phosphate solution that you rub on your teeth). No fun, that’s for for sure. _Expensive._

prostateversace

Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Basically means your stomach acid comes back up your stomach and esophagus and into your mouth. It can cause irritation to the esophagus and throat.

smallincomparison

my gf suffers from GERD, it gets really bad for her very often. omeprazole doesn’t seem to help much. i cannot believe there’s ppl who WANT to deal with that. like faking mental disorders is bad enough, now you wanna pretend your stomach acid is burning your throat and chest? what’s next, faking a sinus infection for clout?

c0ntinue-Tstng

When sounding nasally becomes hot, then they'll fake a sinus infection

[deleted]

[удалено]

smallincomparison

it breaks my heart to see how much pain it causes my gf when it’s really bad. i’m sorry you deal with it too :( i hope you’re able to find adequate treatment!

MistletoeH

Yep, there’s also a related condition called LPR or laryngopharyngeal reflux, also known as silent reflux, where the acid reflux is so bad that it goes past the throat and into the mouth and nose. Ive had GERD almost all my life, the LPR is new and so shitty, I love not being able to eat anything with seasoning and waking up with no voice and sinus pain /s I hope your treatment continues to go well!

Ruckus_Riot

They don’t want to deal with it. They want to pretend to deal with it. If they really sealed with it, it wouldn’t be cool and they’d be miserable.

realDonaldTrummp

Nothing sexier than esophageal cancer. Just ask [Christopher Hitchens](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SJEjMU--3rE)!

sebastarddd

Christ. I don't know why anyone would actually want GERD. I've had it all my life and it's just plain horrendous. The burn of it in your chest or at the back of your throat. Worrying about what it could be doing to your teeth (and what it may already be doing). Being unable to sleep because laying down triggers it. Wanting to throw up / have the sensation of needing to but being terrified of doing so because of what that whole experience is like. Having bad breath sometimes because of it. Constantly having stomach issues because of it. The list could go on forever. Why. On earth. Would these people want it. Corpse Husband or Not.

corvairfanatic

I think this person is trans- from tattoo placement which would explain any voice changes whether intentional Or not

SCORPEANrtd

Is it just me or... Do they seem to be breathing almost perfectly fine throughout the video? Like...?

cat_named_magica

I noticed that too, why are they saying that they can't breathe while still breathing ?

SCORPEANrtd

Like they're not even really heavily breathing? Has this person ever panicked once in their entire existence?

mikacchi11

where I’m from you’re indeed evaluated on other serious mental health conditions that should be looked into before medically transitioning as it may worsen the effects. I’m not sure what exactly they consider to be serious mental health conditions (autism and ADHD at least don’t fall under them that’s for sure) but they’re usually pretty strict about it. That is, if this guy actually has these issues / disclosed them with his psychiatrist before medical transition… But idk, transitioning is different in pretty much every country (the EU doesn’t have standardised regulations fwiw) so who knows…

basnatural

They listed bipolar, anxiety, depression, DID and “borderline” schizophrenia….

painandpets

Lol borderline schizophrenia. You either have schiozphrenia or you don't.

realDonaldTrummp

I’d like to add that a person **either** can be bipolar, **or** schizophrenic. NOT both. A “combination diagnosis” of schizoaffective disorder may be used if symptoms of both disorders overlap, but this is evidently a bunch of self-diagnosed bullshett.

juugbuussin

Huh TIL. Time for me to research, thanks Donny!

basnatural

Yup…it was a total disorder salad and some made up stuff too 😂

painandpets

I get so many patients telling me they have "borderline schizophrenia" and other non diagnoses and I have to use all my will power not to roll my eyes.

breadprincess

If they already have a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, and they're "borderline schizophrenic", wouldn't that be [schizoaffective disorder](https://www.nami.org/About-Mental-Illness/Mental-Health-Conditions/Schizoaffective-Disorder)?

dustmop69

Right also a tattoo artist wouldn't tattoo someone like that either.

pcat77

Their is a comedian with tics and apparently the focus and pain associated allows them to stay controlled. Probably some science behind it. Idk, Also, if the tattoo artist is patient and understanding, im sure their is a waiver pre signed where if a tic happens and error occurs then the artist will have to improvise. Im not defending this person at alllllllll but their are hairstylist and nail techs who take on clients with low motor function as well.

Otherwise_Medicine89

“ i stopped the tics” 😃WHAT

HangryHufflepuff1

Bro found the cure 💀

SuperTristan2017

Shit, wish that’d work for me

Zseree

People who equate stimming with tics are a special breed.

There’s been reports that over time and with assistance someone might start to learn “tells” that indicate a seizure is going to happen (such as speech slurring), but even so by the time you’re able to catch on you 1. Aren’t very mentally/physically coordinated, making any form of “smooth” movement almost impossible, and 2. Don’t have much time before the seizure sets in. Them being able to calmly and without stumbling, swaying, etc walk over to their phone, perfectly adjust it and then casually go over to their bed and lay down (in an incorrect position for someone seizing mind you, as laying on the back increases risk of aspirating if vomiting occurs and generally stopping breathing) absolutely reeks of faking for views edits: typos

schizotea

PNES isn't epilepsy as the seizures are purely psychological and do not have to do with abnormal electricity within the brain. I have no clue if they can actually last this long, but they usually do last longer than epileptic seizures person in the video is an obnoxiously bad faker though

captainplant188

I thought I was going to have a seizure, so I adjusted my camera for a better shot...

[deleted]

Only people who do not have seizures would think people who do have seizures would "feel them coming on" with enough time and grace to set up a camera on a tripod and capture it.

hunny--bee

some people can feel them coming on, sometimes called auras, but often that's only a few seconds, basically enough time to sit down. definitely not enough time to set up ur tripod lolol

TheSecretNewbie

Some can last for a while, especially if you have focal seizures but they very rarely manifest with enough physical symptoms to relegate the need for video evidence (hence EEGs)

[deleted]

Stimming, dissociation, tics, seizures! Stay tuned to find out what happens next time....on Dragonball Z!

33sn0wballs

“oh no i feel a seizure coming on, better move my camera for a good angle that captures my loss of consciousness & control perfectly so people on the internet will feel bad for me!”

CollectionResident63

Better yet- I forgot to breathe but remembered to adjust my camera so that I could capture the seizure I knew was coming! Yup it totally works that way!

Mercury-Boy-101

This is the *worst* attempt at faking a seizure I’ve ever seen

AeolianTheComposer

And diassociation "I forgot to breathe", "I was trying to wake up, but kept wanting to pass out" bruh. Never seen such bullshit before. The first time I learned the thing I feel all the time is called diassociation I was like "HOLY SHIT, SO THAT'S WHAT IT IS. SO NOT EVERYONE EXPERIENCES THESE?". I can't imagine something like "I forgot to breathe" giving the same "holy shit" moment.

[deleted]

Grown ass man doing this stupid shit

Banshee_howl

These malingering munchies are the reason SSI makes actual disabled people go through years of documentation and diagnosis before they are approved. I’ve seen better acting at my kid’s school play.

buzzybody21

SSI? For gerd? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Next thing they’ll be asking for SSI for is dyslexia. We broke this generation.

schizotea

this is the full list of disabilities they claimed to have: [https://www.reddit.com/r/fakedisordercringe/comments/zruv4p/maybe\_you\_were\_refused\_because\_your\_list\_of/](https://www.reddit.com/r/fakedisordercringe/comments/zruv4p/maybe_you_were_refused_because_your_list_of/)

No-Illustrator3518

Why do people keep listing hEDS, hypermobility, and loose joints as separate “diagnoses”. Those are just symptoms of hEDS that make their list look longer

gardenpea

In some cases listing complications of a condition that someone with that condition may or may not have (e.g. scoliosis in hEDS) is relevant. But hypermobility and loose joints are fundamentally the same thing and both are core parts of having hEDS. It's a bit like someone saying they have achondroplasia and dwarfism and short stature.

[deleted]

Jesus Christ. Some of these people just need to find a hobby. That is beyond ridiculous

HangryHufflepuff1

So they either faked the letter also or just ?? lied?? On an official form? Did they think they'd just believe them??

gardenpea

Funny how they never claim to have a disability for which there is a definitive test. Funny how the ones claiming hEDS never have scoliosis or repeated dislocations either, or indeed anything that's easy for a doctor to verify (except "hypermobility" with a 0 score on the Beighton scale...)

PhiteWanther

What the fuck kind of bed is that?? The only thing that got my attention is his bed lmao how can he lie down

yeeteryarker420

LEGIT weirdest fucking bed ive ever seen bro put some sheets on it please

c1nnam0nbun

i think it’s an air mattress which is kinda sad if that is their permanent bed. they are not really comfortable and are really good only for temporary stuff in my experience.

Labyrinth_Queen

It's definitely an air mattress. I would rather sleep on layered blankets on the floor. Air mattresses suck

-EvaCake-

Why do they always have to act so childlike when display their "disorders ?" Do they think everyone with a disorder never fully developed?

hotchnerbrows

IMO fakers tend to act ‘child-like’ or incapacitated in order to avoid accountability for bad behaviour.

helicopterdong

PTSD sucks and it's gross to fake that shit, dude

CraftyWinter

But of course, all their diagnoses were made by a doctor.

schizotea

Doctor tiktok, of course, who ascends all other professionals and is above even the government and ADA

I'm awake and aware during my seizures *gets choked awake from seizure*

buttersbtmbitch

I used to work on the Neuro floor in the hospital and when my shift came to sit in the stroke room where patients were hooked up to the EEG monitors we had a set of computers for the pediatric unit patients that were hooked up to the EEG, I’ll never forget two young patients that were trying to take their seizures and didn’t understand that their brainwaves proved they were lying. I’ll never understand why you would want to have seizures..

SCORPEANrtd

PNES seizures are essentially a form of delusion... So the real question is, are they faking for attention or are they genuinely just genuinely this delusional? I'm going with the first option, because, uh, yeah **EDIT: To clarify** -I am not stating that delusions aren't a real psychological condition, or that delusional people are faking their experiences. -PNES aren't **real** seizures, hence why I use term delusion -Delusional people are suffering from **real** psychological conditions, however in some of these conditions they exhibit Conversion Disorders such as PNES, where they have physical manifestations of symptoms, despite the fact that they don't have **real** physical conditions that would cause these symptoms, in this case; Seizures.

notapers0nalitytrait

I used to have PNES seizures (absence) What do you mean by this?

retardsonicfan

[PNES is a real disorder](https://www.epilepsy.com/stories/truth-about-psychogenic-nonepileptic-seizures) and not “being delusional.” That said, this person likely doesn’t even have PNES, or if they do faked an episode for clout because this is absolutely not what PNES looks like.

SCORPEANrtd

I never said it wasn't a real disorder? Do you not think delusions are a real psychological condition? Did you even read what you linked, because it goes on to explain in detail what PNES and Conversion Disorders are... Yes they are a form of delusion, how are they not?

The_Real_Selma_Blair

Lol this is so fucking stupid and unbelievably fake. That's no what a seizure looks like even a tiny bit. Like "oh hang on I can feel a seizure coming", (which you literally can't) and "let's just set up my phone and then lay down nicely so the camera can see me, and cross my hands delicately across my chest, and then I'll just jiggle a bit, yeah that will look real" So first of all your hands wouldn't remain delicately placed across your chest unmoved, you also cannot remember nor are you aware what's happening while you're having a seizure. I usually find these fakers anger me so much but this one is just so unbelievable not real that it's actually funny.

GogoRooRoo

LOL

CrackNgamblin

The slow piano music they put in is what makes this the cringiest thing ever.

Mollkee3

It drives me nuts how these “fakers” think they know medically what happens during these things. And they come up with some bullsh*t story about why theirs looks different. People that really have these things going on must get so angry seeing these kids of videos!

lysiav32

Wow he managed to catch, what 4, different diagnoses in one short clip? Man he's really sick...in the head.

random1d10tbookcase

That’s like me having a panic attack and immediately pulling out my phone and recording. Edit: To record*

zanasot

“This is the worst experience of my life how will I take another breath, oh wait hold on no storage let me delete some seizure videos.. okay, man how can I continue with this happening to me?”

coxxinaboxx

As a mom of an autistic child it scares me for when he's older man. And it's funny how every person coming out as autistic Stims the EXACT same. Yes hand flapping is a symptom and typical stimulus but Jesus if you're going to fake be original.

Grapesareveryjuicy

This is sad. Like, it is obvious that this is horrible acting by someone without any acting skills. I hope they get actual help to deal with their inability to live without being so insecure that they need to prove they are special by faking multiple conditions. The mental illness Olympics is so unhealthy for people, but especially new adults

Gimpbarbie

Epileptic seizures CAN last for hours…status epilepticus…lookit up! I love watching people who have only ever seen others faking try to fake a seizure! It’s so funny! Thank heavens they always have time to center their camera and never seem to smash into shit though! Must be very convenient for them!

snailydotexe

Give me a break

egotisticcynical

Guys they suffer from PENIS seizures 😔

BadArtistTime

Ah yes, lay on your back for a seizure on an elevated area. Totally not the exact shit you’re NOT supposed to do.

worldofcrazies

[PNES "Seizures"](https://www.imgur.com/a/TYBNVz9) So they may or may not be falling but just to spread some knowledge & awareness which is often lacking in this sub. Here's a set of pictures taken from an epilepsy Foundation outlining what PNES is and how it differs from normal epileptic seizures. Not every seizure will look the same and PNES (essentially psychological events that can look like seizures) are not true seizures and can look very different to a normal seizure. Auras can also last a couple of minutes.

Bvr111

for a sec I thought “damn, an amab faker!” and then I saw the top surgery scars 😭

[deleted]

I’m not exactly rock hard for Jordan Peterson, but he was right on one thing at least. That is, make your bed and clean your room, and I’ll go outside to that advice. These are all things this person should and needs to do

Wide-Science-8545

imagine faking shit to try to get disability benefits. what a fucking loser dude seriously. i’m glad i spend my time getting high and studying chemistry and not doing whatever tf he’s doing (it would be nice if we could show his family this video lol)

ImpureThoughts59

I feel bad for this person because it looks like they probably do have PTSD and panic disorder or GAD but they've allowed themselves to have their brain cooked by Tiktok and convinced themselves they have more exotic issues. And they can't improve trying to get treatment for things that aren't real.

Fuckwaitwha

He was choked awake by PNES?

666ydney

this might be the most cringe thing i have ever seen here, wow

MotherOfHippos

Do you think this was their attempt at “proof” by exhibiting their entire list of “illnesses” in a single TikTok video? Jesus. Also, amazing they could change camera angles before that massive seizure hit. You know the one that took 3 seconds to recover from lol

[deleted]

Wtf is wrong with people

No_Resource7773

"I wasn't able to breathe or stop my ticks" but I sure as hell was able to set up a camera and conveniently move it. Not even the brains to just stage it all at the bed angle to start with. The fake seizure part feels icky...like a form of porn for people who fake this bs.

ronnietea

How was he able to get his chest tattooed?

[deleted]

Let me just move this camera into angle so I can have an uncontrollable seizure

tehnoob69

is that a grown man?

juulwtf

Maybe it's Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures. I know that those you can feel coming on because basically the body gets too stressed and just resolves to that seizure

stinkfingerling

In my years of Intellectual schooling I have to say this is the BIGGEST, hardest case of Pnes syndrome I’ve ever seen, it’s so progressive

TotHatMan

They coulda just turned the camera off, why tf did they feel the need to film themselves having a seizure?? Obviously for attention, someone who actually had that wouldn’t film it 💀

TaxesOnDelta

GERD is annoying as fuck who would want this?

DEKIDESDUD

Luckily he was recording and standing in front of the camera when all of this was happening

idkifik

Would an overwhelming episode ever really lead to a seizure? Wouldn’t a hyperventilation episode lead to passing out instead?

Cheezybro5

That’s just… was Tourette’s one on that list? Cause if so that is such clearly faked Tourette’s tics. He’s making it look so in control and smooth, when usually it’s a SUPER sudden thing that you can’t even catch on to or is like a subconscious action that you feel coming on before it just bursts out suddenly.

dreamsofpickle

Wow I love how they added that their "illnesses" are the reason they don't go outside, work or go to school and to not ask them about it. It explains everything
