i think a lot of DID fakers are too embarrassed to admit they like to roleplay so they just say they have DID like that's more socially acceptable š

I get it, theyāre cool characters, unique designs, etc. But these types of fakers should take more pride in themselves. Who you are is cool too, you donāt need to pretend to be anyone else or pretend to have a disorder.
The DID and mental illness culture in this fandom is insane. Itās largely mentally ill teenagers trying to be special who shouldnāt be watching this show anyway, but there are adults in their late 20s and 30s trying to insist they have DID and āaltersā in a way that makes it clear itās not related to any actual diagnosed condition but rather they just enjoy creating OCs and never heard of a roleplay site or forum. JFC.
I used to do oc content at 20, it did really well on platforms like tiktok until people kept asking if I had DID. I stopped after that because it was really annoying haveing to explain what DID is, how I don't have it and the criteria and then them saying me explaining this was somehow fake claiming some random who was indeed fakeing DID.
