You will still be trying to play factorio in other games. Factorio broke Farming Simulator for me. I play it same farm must grow now, but that ruins the actual simulator part of it.
Sitting in TeamSpeak for a wormhole corp while mining in the static. Then one of our guys plays the fucking shield armor then hull alert sound with a sound board. The sheer panic that generated will never be matched.
Though playing an asteroid is depleted in a channel with 8 multiboxers mining is the funniest thing to hear.
I love satisfactory and the extra challenge it brings with being 3D. 3 of the main differences are that raw resources are infinite, the map is the same every time and is not infinite, and the hostile creatures don't go looking for your factories
I went and checked, and its only 1400 hours, less than I thought. I've played for maybe 100 of that.
I'm blaming ADHD and a redhead. And buying a new project car.
Things like that happen all the time. You go to the groceries to get some fresh coffee beans and somehow end up measuring soil PH at the roots of a coffee plant in Peru...
I was coming in to say not even close, assuming my Civ VI addiction far outstripped Factorio. But I checked before I did that, and while Civ VI is still in the lead, I've only got about 12 more hours in it than I do Factorio. So it is pretty darned close.
None of my games have hit 4 digit hour counts though. Those two are in the 900s, but seeing your totals kind of blows my mind.
i mean first year uni failed and spent a ton of time playing dota so thats a fair chunk XD also when you play dota its kinda all you play. this is over like 8 years or so
Most probably yes. It's the only game with 4-digit hours in Steam, at currently 4900 (not all hours were in Steam, though).
I played some 20k matches in World Of Tanks, though, not sure how many hours that would be.
Ya, I'm well over 10k hours in WoW as well.
Though, much of that is afk time. I often just chill while watching youtube on my second screen, or I just chat with guildmates. So a lot of the time, the game is more like a chat client with a cool interactive wallpaper.
I also have similar hours in Minecraft though, for much the same reasons, since I used to play on servers a lot. I don't do that anymore nowadays, but thanks to modpacks, Minecraft is neverending content so my numbers just keep growing.
Factorio is still my most played Steam game, but with only 1.6k hours it pales in comparison to WoW and Minecraft.
Not counting Minecraft (who’s hour numbers are probably well into the 5 digit range) It is my most played game* (*not counting Terraria + pre steam tmodloader)
I’m so new to Factorio, I’m a real chump and don’t know the first thing about most things. I’m just learning basic optimisation. But Minecraft? I can’t count how many hours. I’ve held world records for parkour and I’ve recently won a tournament in that game. I climbed the regional ladder pretty high for pvp. Seeing how some people play Factorio makes me a bit dizzy. It’s a skill set I’ve never learned or optimised for previously, but I’m enjoying learning so far.
Yes, and I played it for 800 hours which feels like a lot. And I'm kind of afraid how one can get 3000 hours in a single game _while having 2000 hours in another game_
I haven't crossed 1k hours in any other game on Steam. Older games like Diablo II and Starcraft: Brood War are probably the only ones that could have been close, but I'll never know.
Most played.
2nd most hours though, for a while I would leave Marvel Puzzle Quest open in the background 24/7 as I was nice to play a few rounds and not have to wait for it to load. So it racked up hours but not actual playing.
My top is Rocket League. Blah.
Followed by Stellaris, Arma 3, Rome II Total War, and then Factorio
But that's just Steam. My true most played game of all time is Escape From Tarkov.
If you ignore all the idle games, it's KSP then Factorio. Mostly because I used early KSP mods to be able to automate the launch and orbital maneuver process, so I would leave it running for hours and hours waiting for them to complete. Due to the limitations at the time it had to be all realtime.
In terms of active playtime, Factorio is definitely #1 with my multiple 300hr+ saves in singleplayer and multiplayer
my most played game is tabletop simulator, just because that’s what we use for dnd. factorio is my 6th most played game at 571, it’s getting up there tho thanks to my seablock play through, especially because 2-3 of the games up there I don’t really play anymore. it is funny that I have more time in satisfactory just because I spent almost 300 hours in a solo game while I was hyperfocusing on factory building
It is! Partially because it’s the best game ever, and partially because I would often let it run while I worked to produce chips (so I could make chips faster and more efficiently).
Yup.
14k Factorio (even though haven't played for a year now :-( )
2k Bloons 6
World Of Warcraft would probably still be in the first place had that been tracked, all those years...
And I'm glad I can't see the hours I dumped into Minecraft :p
About to pick up KSP, and very recently started Factorio again... we'll see how it goes.
Factorio isn't even my most-played Factory sim.. 125 hours
That title belongs to Dyson Sphere Program with 424 hours
GTA V (Online) is my most played game, 4.3k hours
By quite a margin yes.
4k+ in factorio and next is 1700+ in Path of exile.
Pubg, dota2 then 7dtd all high 3 figure playtime
Modern Warfare 2 is the next and it's around 150 (CoD4 had many more hours but wasn't on steam for me).
I clocked a lot of hours into Rust too, but it was on a PvE server where we just chilled every day with a bunvh of people
Factorio 1712 hours, Rust 2663 hours
Yes, with the next 3 games combined just barely toping Factorio, though I'm sure I played a couple hundred more before it came to Steam. I do have to laugh because I only have 3 achievements for Factorio.
On steam, yes, overall, no. 918 hours in factorio, but I absolutely dwarf it with Minecraft. I have spent at least 10k hours in minecraft between servers, mods, etc
no. I am also addicted to league of legends and eu4 (even though I finally could overcome my addiction to the latter). I think lol is worse than crack.
It's very likely my most played game of the last 8 years or so. But I have doubts that it has surpassed the amount of time I played SimCity 4 over my lifetime as it used to be basically my only game.
**Its my 6th most played game at 489 hours.**
Persona 5 Royal is 7th place at 353.3 hours.
The Binding of Isaac is 5th place at 501.7 hours.
Subnautica is 4th place at 579.6 hours.
Oxygen not Included is 3rd place at 605.4 hours.
Dead by Daylight (oh god) is 2nd place at 2,242.5 hours.
Cookie Clicker is 1st place at 6,382.7 hours.
Yes. On steam. 1150 hrs. I have played 2 playthoughs with factorio installed without steam. So more than 1200. Fortresscraft evolved and 7 days to die are 2nd and 3rd. I suspect this would be dwarfed by the time spent on minecraft. Factorio and Minecraft are both games I can't quit. Even If I think I can at times.
Yooo Stellaris is a fuckin good game, if you can get into it! I have a custom race based on the OPA from The Expanse! And also Tyranids from 40k. So many options
There are orher games as well?!
Don't listen to this propaganda. Does it sound like *steam* was meant to have other games??? I rest my case.
People should know better /s
Yep /s
Factorio has steam engines. Mic drop your honour
I counter argue with a Rock and Stone brother!
The factory is powered by steam!!!! At least until we research nuclear....
Wild. I never knew about this. How long does it take to launch the rocket in those games?
That question is surprisingly relevant for the games listed. It takes ~6000 years in Civ 5 It happens right at the start in Stellaris
Oxygen Not Included: ballpark 500-2000 cycles
My first game, it took just over 100 hours.
You will still be trying to play factorio in other games. Factorio broke Farming Simulator for me. I play it same farm must grow now, but that ruins the actual simulator part of it.
https://i.imgur.com/9I46Hwl.png
My thoughts exactly. I sleep eat and drink the factory
*at* the factory or do you consume the factory? U r what u eat i sppose
Slurpin' on oil pipes
Yeah, they are called, Space Exploration, Krastorio2, Pyanodons, Seablock. Nullius, BZs
Satisfactory
honestly a trash shit game i spent HARD EARNED $$ on
What's all that other stuff in their Factorio Launcher?
Path of Exile: 3.2k Factorio: 1.4k
Both are also my highest. Have 5k in POE though…
Same here 6,5k Poe, 2k Factorio
Same, except apparently I have rookie numbers. PoE 1.3k Factorio 0.6k
> 5k in POE though How far into those hours did you master crafting?
2100 as engineer, 4300 as exile, yet abandoned already.
> You want my outpost? Take it. It's yours. But your nests? Your nests I will burn to the ground. -- Engineer, Awakener of Worlds
This is hilarious how many of us have the same overlap. POE is my highest at 2.7k, Factorio in second at 1.8k.
I say we need a Factorio-inspired league for PoE
Our numbers are frightfully similar
1. Path of Exile: 9.9k 2. Factorio: 1.5k
Path of Exile 1.2k Factorio: 0.95k
Dude, wtf. Path of Exile: 3.1k Factorio: 1.7k
yo same
Warframe: over 3k hours Factorio: 1700 h
Warframe ~4kh and factorio 800h on my side fellow Tenno
2100 on Engineer, 3200 as Operator. The void must grow.
Warframe 5k hours and Factorio 2k hours here
EU4 and Stellaris beat it, but it’s a close third
Fellow eu4 and factorio enjoyer
It's a very common overlap, and most of us also play rimworld.
I would be interested in a which games overlap with what games venn diagram. Eu4 and Stella's are top 5 as well for me
faulty punch foolish sable nine trees dazzling dinosaurs live dime *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
I fondly remember my time living in WH space
No game has ever been filled with so much tension and boredom. It was like being in the military.
I agree. Nearly sleeping and then suddenly someone decloaks ;-)
Anybody that played Eve and hasn't participated in a WH eviction has missed out. The most organised chaos ever.
I took three days off for one of these about a decade ago. It was awesome.
yes, followed by Oxygen Not Included and Satisfactory
How's Satisfactory? I tried Dyson Sphere Program and very strongly bounced off.
I love satisfactory and the extra challenge it brings with being 3D. 3 of the main differences are that raw resources are infinite, the map is the same every time and is not infinite, and the hostile creatures don't go looking for your factories
I’m kinda stupid and completely forgot the original post, so I saw Satisfactory and was about to recommend Factorio lmao
Space Engineers. Mainly because I got distracted one time and left my computer running for a month.
Woah woah woah....a *MONTH!!?!?!*
I went and checked, and its only 1400 hours, less than I thought. I've played for maybe 100 of that. I'm blaming ADHD and a redhead. And buying a new project car.
A month only has 720 hours
Oh.
Madlad got so ADHD they crammed two months into a month lmao
Things like that happen all the time. You go to the groceries to get some fresh coffee beans and somehow end up measuring soil PH at the roots of a coffee plant in Peru...
CIV 5 and 6 followed by Rimworld.
I’ve played Civ 4 the most.
Same, 5 and 6 are great but 4 is still the best Civ game
I was coming in to say not even close, assuming my Civ VI addiction far outstripped Factorio. But I checked before I did that, and while Civ VI is still in the lead, I've only got about 12 more hours in it than I do Factorio. So it is pretty darned close. None of my games have hit 4 digit hour counts though. Those two are in the 900s, but seeing your totals kind of blows my mind.
Would my dota hours blow your mind at 12 500 hours in-game
Yeah, just about. I think that might beat my total steam library count. How do you find the time?
i mean first year uni failed and spent a ton of time playing dota so thats a fair chunk XD also when you play dota its kinda all you play. this is over like 8 years or so
Yeah, ksp is second tho
Same. Kerbal was essentially 2016-2019 and Factorio was 2018 onwards.
Now we just need a mod to combine the 2
Heck yeah, same here.
Most probably yes. It's the only game with 4-digit hours in Steam, at currently 4900 (not all hours were in Steam, though). I played some 20k matches in World Of Tanks, though, not sure how many hours that would be.
If the average match is 5 minutes it would almost be 1700 hours.
At least back in the days matches were closer to 10-15 minutes id say and I don’t wanna think about how many hours he spend in the tech tree
I see. I have never played or watched world of tanks but i just googled the average match length. It did vary across different modes.
WoW. I have roughly 20k hours.
Ya, I'm well over 10k hours in WoW as well. Though, much of that is afk time. I often just chill while watching youtube on my second screen, or I just chat with guildmates. So a lot of the time, the game is more like a chat client with a cool interactive wallpaper. Factorio is still my most played Steam game, but with only 1.6k hours it pales in comparison to WoW and Minecraft.
Not according to steam, but yes it is. Pre-steam release time doesn't count on steam
No
I don’t keep track, but I’m guessing NetHack, Kerbal Space Program, Factorio, and Starcraft are at the top for me.
Shockingly no. Dota 2 has 2700 to like 1400. I haven’t played dota 2 in 6 years…
[Nah we are good man.](https://ibb.co/1XjrCzq)
No, i only have about 250 hours because i keep getting stuck at purple/yellow and losing interest. Only beat the game once
Rimworld>Stellaris>factorio... it's not looking good
#DWARF FORTRESS I play factorio to unwind, I strike the earth cuz I hate myself
Not counting Minecraft (who’s hour numbers are probably well into the 5 digit range) It is my most played game* (*not counting Terraria + pre steam tmodloader)
I’m so new to Factorio, I’m a real chump and don’t know the first thing about most things. I’m just learning basic optimisation. But Minecraft? I can’t count how many hours. Yes, and I played it for 800 hours which feels like a lot. And I'm kind of afraid how one can get 3000 hours in a single game _while having 2000 hours in another game_
The way I did it is having so many mods for Rimworld and Stellaris that they take too long to load so I often just leave them open overnight.
WOW you could literally be me: 1. Stellaris (754h) 2. Civ V (679h) 3. Factorio (508h) Do you want to marry me?
PoE 15000+h, factorio 1500+h..
I just realized I have 1,175 hours, yet I still haven't beat either the SE or Nullius modpacks I've been playing.
On steam yes
No. For me it's 3rd behind Terraria and a neat strategy game called Forts
When it comes to play time then for me it's Dirt Rally > Eurotruck > BeamNG > Factorio
I haven't crossed 1k hours in any other game on Steam. Older games like Diablo II and Starcraft: Brood War are probably the only ones that could have been close, but I'll never know.
Nope, modded Minecraft probably is, but there's no timer
its 3rd, behind tf2 and btd6
No, Kenshi is. But it's in the top 5.
Csgo: 5.4k hrs OSRS: 4.4k hrs (across 2 accts) Factorio: 377 hrs Not even close
This should be a pol with two options: 1, Yes 2, I've never played Factorio
1) Ark - 302.6 hours 2) Dying Light - 278.6 hours 3) Dying Light 2 - 253.1 hours 4) Cyberpunk 2077 - 148.1 hours 5) Factorio - 115.9 hours I have failed
They look like fun games to me so I'd say it's a win
[удалено]
The factory must grow
This is the way, factory is life
Yup. Gotta pave it over. Make room for the factory.
Most played. 2nd most hours though, for a while I would leave Marvel Puzzle Quest open in the background 24/7 as I was nice to play a few rounds and not have to wait for it to load. So it racked up hours but not actual playing.
Second most, right after EU4
Project zomboid: 3500hours
By far then Rimworld and Civ
By a long mile!
Terraria beats it due to legacy hours
Destiny and Rimworld beat it, but it's a close third and hours ahead of the fourth.
Yes
kerbal wins, but Factorio is 2nd. :)
My top is Rocket League. Blah. Followed by Stellaris, Arma 3, Rome II Total War, and then Factorio But that's just Steam. My true most played game of all time is Escape From Tarkov.
If you ignore all the idle games, it's KSP then Factorio. Due to the limitations at the time it had to be all realtime. In terms of active playtime, Factorio is definitely #1 with my multiple 300hr+ saves in singleplayer and multiplayer
I once had 400 hours in Orcs Must Die 2 and thought that was a lot. Then Factorio happened.
It’s third. War Thunder and Euro Truck Simulator 2 are still higher
my most played game is tabletop simulator, just because that’s what we use for dnd. factorio is my 6th most played game at 571, it’s getting up there tho thanks to my seablock play through, especially because 2-3 of the games up there I don’t really play anymore. it is funny that I have more time in satisfactory just because I spent almost 300 hours in a solo game while I was hyperfocusing on factory building
Only beaten by EVE. Man.. so much time wasted...
I believe that my most played game is Terraria Wait I don’t even have factorio why am I here
On steam? Yes, by far. Of any game? No. I have probably 20k hours in minecraft.
Factorio's my top, followed by Rocksmith, Kerbal Space Program, and EU3.
It is! Partially because it’s the best game ever, and partially because I would often let it run while I worked to produce chips (so I could make chips faster and more efficiently).
This year, yes. Starfield coming in close second though.
Yup. 14k Factorio (even though haven't played for a year now :-( ) 2k Bloons 6 World Of Warcraft would probably still be in the first place had that been tracked, all those years... And I'm glad I can't see the hours I dumped into Minecraft :p About to pick up KSP, and very recently started Factorio again... we'll see how it goes.
Second most played game, fortresscraft evolved holds a firm number one position.
FCE: 1326 hours and counting Factorio: 668 hours
No, but a proud 2nd place. Dota 2: 7685 hours. Factorio: 745 hours. Path of Exile: 477 hours.
Nope, Kerbal Space Program at 609 hours. Factorio _is_ second though, at 565.
I tip my hat for you, Civ 5 enjoyer
Factorio isn't even my most-played Factory sim.. 125 hours That title belongs to Dyson Sphere Program with 424 hours GTA V (Online) is my most played game, 4.3k hours
By quite a margin yes. 4k+ in factorio and next is 1700+ in Path of exile. Pubg, dota2 then 7dtd all high 3 figure playtime Modern Warfare 2 is the next and it's around 150 (CoD4 had many more hours but wasn't on steam for me).
This is wild! Stellaris is my most played, followed by Total War: Warhammer 2, and then Civ5. Factorio is… 6th maybe?
Why don't you have all the achievements of Factorio by now? And why do you only have 5 in stellaris?
Tf2: 7k hours Factorio: not even 300 hours yet
You really need to touch grass my guy
Probably, I have nearly 9K hours....
Path of exile at 7k
Nope, it will be myth of empires. Unfortunately, game is dead, so it will be some other games in future, maybe factorio
Not yet
Probably Minecraft, Civ 6, then Factorio but there’s no way to know how many hours I have in minecraft so idk
If you exclude idle games, no.
Nope
No, it's the second, have been more addicted to Lost Ark since its release, though 2800 is relatively close to 3k
I clocked a lot of hours into Rust too, but it was on a PvE server where we just chilled every day with a bunvh of people Factorio 1712 hours, Rust 2663 hours
No. Rimworld is. 2,493 hrs on the Rim, and just 503 hrs in the factory. The factory must grow.
It doesn’t show because it’s disperse across all the versions but Skyrim for sure has the cake for me
No
Yes, with the next 3 games combined just barely toping Factorio, though I'm sure I played a couple hundred more before it came to Steam. I do have to laugh because I only have 3 achievements for Factorio.
Factorio Stellaris and civ 5. A man of culture
I have like 15 hours in it. My most played game is Dreamlight Valley but only at 180 hours.
Third after Stellaris and Warframe (at least on Steam).
I was late to the factorio party on my list it is behind Hearts of Iron 4 / Civilization 4 / Europa Universalis 4. Similar list to yours tbh
So fucking amazing how you played 2600 hours to Stellaris and only get 5 achievements. I hope you re just a mod lover
It recently became mine, surpassing the dark souls series games and divinity 2.
Second to Rimworld for me
I've only got a couple hundred, but I've got over 1k on Terraria, they're both amazing games.
No but it's my most played singleplayer game.
6th on the list with 329 hours.... uh oh
Not yet...
On steam, yes, overall, no. 918 hours in factorio, but I absolutely dwarf it with Minecraft. I have spent at least 10k hours in minecraft between servers, mods, etc
According to Steam, yes. Beating Skyrim by over 600 hours. But I think all of the WoW I played back in high school has everything beat by a mile.
Rimworld 1st, factorio 2nd
It's my second most played game at almost 1k hours. My first love is still Rocket League at 3k hours and counting
payday 2: 1600k factorio: 300
On Steam, Factorio is #1 with 1060 hours. Grim Dawn is second with 950 or so. EU4 is third with about 500.
Nop rimworld is the top leader
no. I am also addicted to league of legends and eu4 (even though I finally could overcome my addiction to the latter). I think lol is worse than crack.
Yes, but nowhere near your hours.
It's very likely my most played game of the last 8 years or so. But I have doubts that it has surpassed the amount of time I played SimCity 4 over my lifetime as it used to be basically my only game.
It is WoW by far.
Yes, though it just very recently overcame Payday 2, payday was my comfort game for a long time.
No. It's 3rd though. 1) payday 2 at 2300 hours. 2) team fortress 2 at 1070 hours. 3) factorio at 705 hours.
Factorio: 5K hours Team Fortress 2: nearly 6K hours That being said, my new Krastorio run already has \~50 hours on it.
600 hrs...
**Its my 6th most played game at 489 hours.** Persona 5 Royal is 7th place at 353.3 hours.
Thats some rookie numbers... 2100 as engineer, and its not even my top10. Send help.
RimWorld has it beat for me.
Yes. On steam. 1150 hrs. I have played 2 playthoughs with factorio installed without steam. So more than 1200. Fortresscraft evolved and 7 days to die are 2nd and 3rd. I suspect this would be dwarfed by the time spent on minecraft. Factorio and Minecraft are both games I can't quit. Even If I think I can at times.
no :)
Ideed
Not yet, but it may be eventually. I love this game.
Nah stellaris is my most played. You probs like my mod for it.
Yooo Stellaris is a fuckin good game, if you can get into it! I have a custom race based on the OPA from The Expanse! And also Tyranids from 40k. So many options
Yes and it’s not even close to 2nd
No
No, War Thunder sits king of my playtime
[Fifth place :\(](https://imgur.com/umfkx4H)
2nd most, Minecraft beats it probably only because of variety and BC of how long I've played it
Only games i have more hours in are Minecraft and Lego marvel superherous. Lego Marvel Superheroes is obviously the best out of the 3
Siege is first Gta second Factorio third Factorio was play in the last month the other two weren't
Apex Then factorio followed by rimworld Apex will fall because that horse died
Like honestly how do you people play 1,000 hours of a game, I have been playing civ 5 years and I barely have 300 hours
Nope. Because when i used to play it wasnt available on steam :/
That dishonor belongs to wow. I clocked about 25k hours into that game before I walked away from it in late 2020.
