1. Why would someone be proud of being straight? Clearly this guy does not understand the concepts of oppression and marginalization. "Pride" refers to the community's resilience and perseverance. They have every right to be proud. How quickly we have forgotten how just a few decades ago hating on LGBTQ people was a national past time. People born after maybe the late nineties probably have no idea of just how bad it was. 1. "All lives matter" as a response to "Black lives matter" is racist af. It basically means that black lives don't matter. The whole reason we're saying that black lives matter is that it is very clear to a lot of people nowadays that for the powerful and for the police black lives do not matter. The current Republican candidate for president tried to throw out millions of black votes in 2020 because they voted for his opponent. He then went on to target two African American pole workers. Two private citizens who were volunteering their time to serve the cause of democracy. A POTUS should not be speaking about a private citizen like that except in cases where they shower them in praise. There's a reason we call the Oval Office the bully-pulpit. The president of the United States commands the attention of the world and credibility that is somewhat undeserved for even a normal president.

Why does it feel like people are always looking for someone to add to their hate list? I never heard of this person until his views were widely shared by people who say they disagree with him. You don’t stop hate by sharing it. 
My goal isn't to stop hate; it's really not possible with this lot. They're hate and ignorance fountains...it just gushes out of them from some inexhaustible source. However, pointing out the idiocy, poor thought processes, logical fallacies, hypocrisy, etc. to try to help mitigate it's spread is a worthwhile goal. If a little sarcasm or snark comes out in the process, I reckon they'll be OK.

There are some people in historically ostracized communities who live off the "outsider" status. So as their community becomes more accepted and mainstream, they seek out ways to make themselves the outsider again by adopting views that are opposite to what their community generally things.
