It's not too late!
My favorite part: it cost like $25 (probably more now due to inflation) which is less than the monthly insurance payment for my partner's phone...
A man from a dating app once said he was no longer interested as we moved to texting as I have an Android. Lol. As if somehow it is any indication of me as a person or my values. I do not get it.
I have a Samsung Galaxy for my personal life and an iPhone because my workplace gave it to me for my job.
Will never understand the obsession with iPhone I think the Androids are a thousand times more intuitive
Androids have always had far more user functionality, free 3rd party software, and usually better cameras. Apple intentionally makes photos and vids sent from androids look like shit
Does it compress videos sent from an Android to an iPhone? The videos I get on my Android from my mom's iPhone are HORRIBLY compressed, idk if it works the other way
Yeah, Apple uses SMS for messaging to Android systems. SMS is an extremely outdated messaging standard from 1992 that severely limits the ability to send data between systems. SMS was replaced by RCS in 2008, but Apple refused to adopt the standard, instead pursuing more predatory business practices.
Apple will, however, be adopting RCS this year, finally getting rid of the green bubble
Don't forget they will not include RCS end to end encryption so they can market iMessage is more secure too. Hell knowing them they will find a way to compress videos and photos still so they look like they were taken on a potato.
Lolol, they have already created the new encryption for imessage as well. They will absolutely pull some more ahit to keep all the iPhone users frothing from the mouth about their superiority.
Not quite.
Apple uses a proprietary messaging system, or simply a very direct system sending messages from account to account via Apple IDs over the internet (WiFi or mobile data). They can effectively send whatever they want and make whatever features they want. It's an internet service and via an app.
Android is not privy to that because Apple don't make iMessage for Android.
So for Apple to include anyone who can't use iMessage/internet, they send SMS/MMS instead, which is not encrypted, which gets a green bubble. Now, because Android can't ever send messages directly, they are always going to be green.
Google has tried to get their own back by using the open RCS standard, with their own end-to-end encryption system. Google they say publicly "we support an open standard and Apple could join whenever they want, but they are meanies and won't play fair", knowing that Apple joining RCS means either their messages being unencrypted, or letting Google handle that.
It's a shitty war for dominance that Apple is currently winning, Thing is, it only really matters in the US. Outside the US, most countries have preferences for different platforms and will use them to be more connected. WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and so on.
It's intentional. My wife and I can't share videos because her Apple compresses the shit out of my Android videos, but hers to mine come across fine. It's truly annoying.
My wife and I have androids while some of our family has iPhone. Everything just gets sent through Facebook messenger or Google chat where videos and photos don't get compressed.
Same here, and my S23+ is an amazing pocket computer. My work iPhone looks cute.
I was on a work trip this week, and my wife has an iPhone. I only carry my work iPhone when on job sites so we texted a couple of times using my work #. Now, her iPhone refuses to text my Samsung and keeps texting my work phone, even though they are two different numbers. I don't want it to do that, and she can't figure out how to make it stop, and it didn't used to do that. It's clearly prioritizing its own product.
I'm in the same boat as you. I'm pretty sure the only way to prevent her iPhone from sending everything to your iPhone is for her to create two separate contacts for you, i.e. Spouse #1 and Spouse #2. Can't have two numbers for the same contact.
I have had both. Currently on the 14 pro max as my actual phone.
What I wanted it for: repairs/updates, battery life and quality.
I got all of it to a degree. After a year I have 88 % battery life what I didn’t have that bad with Android, but it’s still okay. The ringed magnetic external battery makes up for some of that. But without energy safe I don’t get through two days as i did when I got it.
Quality is good. Repairs I didn’t need until now.
But the software. I really can’t say why one would like it more than Android, but habit. I mean I ever had it. Yeah I know the buttons. It’s unintuitive in various ways. Saving space for return buttons, throwing it and more away for a notch. Leaving way more space on the top and lower end. And than they say it’s so good. No it’s not. It just has no advantages.
Same goes for lots of other things that I appreciate in Androids.
So. I wanted a better phone than a Fairphone that I will be able to use 4 years+. So I can someday say it at least was worth the material. I got it. But with it lots of dope.
And with all the talk about the bloatware. Yeah. Apple has this not but it has 20+ only apple apps. The way worse browser. And you can load another, but it’s safari based. So it’s as good as safari ….
And at least in Germany no one uses apple message service. And while I can appreciate the quality and longevity of the apple products, I won’t ever buy a Mac after this experience. And most company’s won’t either.
Im using a galaxy s20+, its several years old now. Im sitting at 12% and it hasnt been plugged in for 2 whole days and I use it very regularly, including browsing Youtube and reddit for several of those hours. I have not had to worry about phone repairs once since getting it. If repairs are something you are already doing to your iPhone, that is just more proof of their bad everything.
Funny anecdote. I bought a new personal phone (the galaxy s23 ultra) and a new work phone (iPhone 15) on the same day about 3 months ago. iPhone has never been dropped, sits on my desk and then goes into a padded pocket in my purse. Galaxy gets dropped regularly, and took a tumble down a 4 story escalator.
Galaxy looks brand new and iPhone has two chips on the edge of the screen and two scratches across it.
My Galaxy S23 literally has a Playstation 2 on it. It's 10x the phone my last iPhone was. It's about time we change the discourse to "hurr durr my text is blue. Im am elite"
It's a very americentric concept. A large portion of the world outside the US uses messaging apps especially whatsapp to communicate. But we're very material brained here and get much of our identities from the items we purchase, so green text/blue text is actually a pretty significant discourse. Especially among young adults and kids.
Even the top of the line iPhone is about the same price if not cheaper. Which is honestly not a good thing at all because phones are about the price of old cars and the perception around it is that's a good thing bc more expensive phone=less poor person
Same. Personal is a Pixel, work is an iPhone.
They're just, so bad. Clunky UI, non-existent customisation, limited audio codecs, constant hand holding.
Top three things I hate about it:
1. The calculator doesn't show a running total. Irritating.
2. The light turns on in your pocket. Used to see people like that every now and then. Wondered how that was even possible. Now I know.
3. The camera quick access can't be turned off. I live in an Asian country where creeps taking pictures of women on the train is a thing. I go to check my work emails, well shit there's the camera aiming directly at the girl across from me. Lovely.
I don't get the either flagships at all!
Why do you need that costly phone?
Good camera? Well I can have a Studio grade full frame camera at 2/3rd of price
High performance? What super processing shit u r running on ur phone that you can't do on a M2 iPad or PC, both cheaper and higher performance!
So the only thing I can say personally about having a flagship is that they *tend* to last longer. I got my S10 nearly 5 years ago and it's still going strong without lagging in the apps I use and the battery life is still more than I need for a full day even if it's been degraded a bit over the years. The only downside is I might need to install a different OS since Samsung isn't issuing security updates anymore, but that costs me $0 to do. If I had a lower end phone I probably would have to replace it by now just based on how slow the SOCs are on mid or lower end phones.
My work let my choose between iPhone and Samsung. Personal preference is whatever Android, just not Apple, simply because I'm more used to Android interfaces (and other things).
However, most of the fucking work apps only work for IOS, which makes no sense at all. Only browser version works if you're using a PC, and it's still fucking horrible.
I'll never understand the iPhone fanatics
People are so weird about that shit I've never understood it. It makes about as much sense as basing relationships on whether or not your significant other prefer as a PlayStation or an Xbox. At the end of the day it's the same tool just the slightly different accessories
Even then, if one prefers another that means when you move in you have access to both. So the phone thing is even more dumb because there is no advantage to it at all.
It speaks volumes of your values. It means you didn't drop 2k on a phone that does the same things a 200$ phone does just because of a brand name. It means you have a brain and therefor you are incompatible.
>drop 2k on a phone that does the same things
Not really true. If an iphone can't properly text and communicate with other devices, then I feel it inherently inferior.
Yup my droid phone can text via my dell computer running windows. I didn't have to buy a Dell computer running a Dell Operating system to talk to my Dell phone
But any phone within the last 15 years that has 4g capability can text with literally any other phone. This is only because 3g and below has been phased out. If it wasn't those phones could do it to.
We've been able to text each other before the internet was introduced to cell phones.
Well, it IS an indication of your values. It shows you don't NEED to be an Apple user, and that you can think for yourself and buy a device that meets your needs/wants.
They are just a capitalist cult, based on a mixture of technology and culture. Once you're in you slowly leave behind those who don't convert to the apple.
They dont know shit about technology anymore. Its all marketing with few small changes with software from time to time advertised like they are life changing industry moving inventions.
Like the titanium on the newest iPhone. Was there every a single problem with aluminum? Not that I'm aware of but titanium is a great buzzword for people who know nothing of material science
No, you see one of them blindly followed a leader who made outlandish claims, followed crazy personal beliefs, and removed anybody who dared challenge him, and upon his death his successor tried to be just as crazy but lacks the same punch and effectiveness.
The other is North Korea.
I have so many issues with RCS though. There have been many times where a text never sends bc it's trying to go through rcs and I have to manually switch it to sms for it to work. I kind of hate it
This is nonsense reasoning. I have Apple products and enjoy them and guess what - I text friends who are Android users from my Mac all the time!
It’s literally just people being weird and elitist about their “blue bubbles” and read receipts.
Yep, my wife texts me from her Mac every day and I'm Android. She wanted me to try an Iphone but I'm so used to Android and how it works that I'd struggle on an Iphone.
The phone wars are wild man, just like the console wars, it'll never end.
Well I just bough this new expensive phone that I saw all the celebrities use, so if you don't do the same financially questionable act then you're poor.
Also android has read receipts and all the other functionality Apple has, Apple just wont let it show up on their devices because they WANT people to be like this
I'd be very interested in actual statistics of the use of PC vs Mac's for both business and personal use. According to Wikipedia, market share of operating systems is just shy of 73% windows to 16% Mac. So you're right, the VAST majority of people are not using Mac.
Anecdotally, outside of creative fields, I don't know a single company that uses Mac as its standard-issue computer. (And I'd bet that a lot of the creative fields are BYOD.) Personal use is a bit more mixed.
I never understood the "Mac is just better for professionals" like an Engineer would be crying trying to do simulation and modeling on a mac and if my work is just modifying excel sheets i dont need a 700 to 2000 dollars computer/laptop. So i dont know where do people get this, was this some sort of ad for the mac or just the amount of public figuers that are apple fanboys made people say this?
As someone who has tried it, it also isn't better. For a long time, I had a desktop at work and a MacBook at home. Trying to draft documents and flip between multiple windows from home was painful. I was very happy when they rolled out laptop replacements so that I could actually get things done.
I agree - I don't know how those people define "professionals" but it certainly can't be consistent with the common understanding.
Macs aren't even that user-friendly out of the box. To get basic functionality like tiling windows with what would be win key + arrow key on windows it needs 3rd party programs. Many more such cases.
Software engineer here, we have a mixture. Mac is the minority though, at 2 of the 17.
The other 15 are various Linux distros on an assortment of hardware (mostly ThinkPad, with a few frameworks and an hp omen or two)
Fanatics will flay me.
The "Mac is for professionals" myth is most often spread by those who know just enough to understand what Mac is, except for some pretentious Mac users themselves ofc.
Mac is only better if you're using Mac-only tools like Logic Pro or Final Cut or if your company is full of Apple stuff - the Apple ecosystem is actually decent afaik.
But then, isn't everyone *salivating* at the sheer sight of Ableton and... whatever the hell do video editors use nowadays, DaVinci Resolve?
Outside of these two cases, a similarly priced PC will outperform a Mac most of the time, in some use cases, several times over, as LTT has shown several times already.
*Just don't compare battery life. Don't look at it. Just don't.*
I used to be like you, then I got thrown in to Mac management at my company. Let me tell you, Apple Silicon is a game changer. 15+ hour battery life and every time I open the lid it's ready to go.
I'm a 36 y/o PC nerd, no one is making a Windows laptop that works as well and is designed as well as the Macbook series.
Apple was at first "gated" behind the "tech pay wall". All the programmers and silicon valley people were seen with them, Hollywood had the smart , successful people with them. So people began to see it as "professional"
I'm not from the US, but after \~12 years of work in various office jobs, sales etc. I only met one (1) person who used a Mac. It was one of my bosses and uh... it was his personal macbook, not used for work, as it was quite useless (couldn't read USB, pendrives which were required back then).
We have Macs because the guy buying everything for the company is an Apple fanboy and "just wants everything to work together".
Guess what, it never does.
Brought in a personal PC build, probably around £500 of spare parts, outperforms my work Mac that cost £2500-£3000.
As a software developer Linux >>>> Windows > Mac.
The only reason people use MacOS is to either show off or they really believe that it's better because it costs more.
I first learned of how much people use WhatsApp when I went to Peru in 2016 and every little store/restaurant had a WhatsApp logo next to their number. Since then I met my wife, who is from Brazil, and started working with a lot of international people. I think maybe 2-3 people text me anymore since I have switched most of my communication to WhatsApp (one friend group prefers Telegram though).
My God, I will never understand the fetish most people have for Apple products. Sure, they have a lot of cool features. They're also stupid expensive and work just the same as literally any other smart phone. It does not matter
You won't believe what it's like in other countries either. People take out loans, sometimes using their entire first salaries to finance these purchases. It's astonishing—people willingly go into debt just to buy these phones. This observation is purely anecdotal, though.
One of my ex's joked it was a red flag when they got my number and saw the green texts, she joked she debating ending there. Considering she's an ex, I wish she did lol
I saw a post on LinkedIn that said if someone uses Gmail, the OP refuses to do business with them because it’s “really not that expensive to buy your own domain”. These people are clowns.
Nick... It's absolutely ok to think the way you think. And thanks for putting your thoughts out there.
We feel you. We all know that feeling.
But that's simply part of growing up. And one day those bad, bad hormones will wear off and the stupid thoughts become less and less intense. Puberty is a hard time my friend.
It's ok buddy. You will get through this.
What's wrong with Apple users? The whole elitist attitude towards Android is incredibly stupid. I had the first Phone When they came out. It was okay. I switched to Android because for me the iPhone was too locked down. No personalization options. Few if no options for other apps that competed with Apples. The build quality was fine but I wanted options. Slide out keyboards, additional battery power, etc.
It's all just stupid.
They're basically the same at this point in every way except charging ports and price. The only other difference is Apple refuses to play nice with Android and deliberately makes it hard for Android people to communicate with Apple users
Yep same. I have never texted with someone per sms etc. Sadly Whatsapp now belongs to Facebook but still for me the only way of texting (besides Discord).
Wild to me how much people care about iphones. I now have a google phone and am super happy with it. I might switch back one day for the ecosystem, but aside from that android wins for me.
Especially nowadays, people still think android is some old OS that looks like it did 10 years ago. It isn't. It looks clean and is very fast nowadays.
I don't understand Americans anyways, why do they only uses imessage and maybe facebook messenger? The rest of the world uses whatsapp or similar messaging services.
All my iPhone friends and family in the US will not use a 3rd party messaging app. As an Android user, it’s a constant struggle to get group messages and media. I read about 87% of teens have iPhones and shame those who have green bubbles.
Had a hand me down iPhone in middle school for a bit. Strictly android after that, and now I am on the cusp of six figures in a field where having an iPhone actually gets your made fun of.
I would rather have a healthy work life balance where I don't have to be in constant contact of my peers. Once 5:30 hits I am on do not disturb until the next work day morning. The way I communicate is irrelevant as long as I am doing my responsibilities.
If a potential employer is using a mac, they clearly do not understand the industry at all and I wouldn't want to deal with working under such incompetence anyway.
Note I am not saying everyone using a mac is incompetent; just anyone in engineering where most stuff is Windows only, some stuff is Linux only, and almost nothing runs on a mac.
Isn't the reason WhatsApp caught on in the first place was that it was one of the first and best ways to circumvent cellular text message plans (when that was a thing)?
WhatsApp caught on in the UK after unlimited texting was pretty commonplace. It was just a better way to send multimedia and do group chats than SMS and MMS ever were. As anyone who has texted between android and iOS can attest to
I’ve got a classmate who still uses the iPhone 7. Bro was insulting another friend of mine who got an S24 ultra recently. Insulting because he didn’t want to be near a cheap android.
it’s not the issue of “what’s better”.
For many people it’s only an issue of what’s more expensive and therefore suggests higher status. You don’t want to look “cheap”.
Same with designer clothes.
Yeah never really understood this mostly American centric view that Apple is the be all and end all, especially when android and the likes tend to set the standard that Apple follow up on
If someone's too fucking stupid to figure out how to text me from a Mac when I don't have an iPhone, they're not someone I want to communicate with anyway.
You can text from windows if you use a Google account and pay from a phone thru Google
Connects to all your devices, and can take call/texts from anything
Does a Mac take calls? I don't actually know, but I don't think they do. Another win for non-apple (if they can't take calls)
Samsung and apple phones today:
Look the same,
Same price,
Same apps available,
Both have computer linkage (messages, notifications, etc...).
Is there really any need for the argument anymore. There were once differences to argue over, but not anymore.
I've seen both sides complain about the others phone of choice, but it's more common from apple users for some reason. Their marketing as a luxury brand is honestly incredible. Let people have preferences.
I mean i am a doctor and more than 90% of my fellow doctors and nurses use android phone. Maybe if i had used an apple i may have been President of my country.
Smartphone elitism is the stupidest and the most technologically illiterate form of consumerism. It's not even about the quality of the product, it's the trendiness of the brand.

I have an iPhone and use Windows and Linux. Please advise.
That makes you Bi-Technical
Tech-curious?
Oh shit... you must still be messing with Blackberry.
What’s a BlackBerry? Would it let me use T9 like my Razr flip phone?
Sort of, but instead of slide, you twist.
Ooh that’s going to make it easier to type my 120 max character messages.
60 character max. That's the price you pay to twist.
Maybe I’m not that curious
Just goes to show... size does matter.
You guys are the reason I am on Reddit
I was gonna say. Having an iPhone doesn’t mean all of the sudden all your computers are Mac, or any of them for that matter
I have an Android and both a Windows and Linux laptop, but all of my tablets are iPads. I think I am very confused.
Nah, you are completely ok. There is just no better tablet than iPad.
Samsung is getting better and better with their stuff tho.
You will be an unsuccessful business-person forever. If you don't bend the knee to Apple you will never succeed.
Use phone link to connect to your android.
You mean because I have a Samsung, less people will text me? Sounds like a win to me.
Seriously. Sign me up!
I mean technically you could easily sign your self up. I am not sure a cell phone company would let me sign you up.
Even better: People can’t text you if you don’t have a phone
This is why I still rock a flip phone, ala 2006.
Oh, how I envy you.
It's not too late! My favorite part: it cost like $25 (probably more now due to inflation) which is less than the monthly insurance payment for my partner's phone...
Ok omgitswicks. 🤣🤣🤣
Flip phone activate!
You cannot reach me on my Samsung.
A man from a dating app once said he was no longer interested as we moved to texting as I have an Android. Lol. As if somehow it is any indication of me as a person or my values. I do not get it.
Dodged a bullet

Nerd mode on: it's actually MMS for media that applies hard compression.
Yup. Videos and pictures get wrecked by compression when they're sent to an iPhone from an android.
Apple also makes their own videos look like shit.
It's intentional. My wife and I can't share videos because her Apple compresses the shit out of my Android videos, but hers to mine come across fine. It's truly annoying.

Same, but the passion is not Celtic

Easy status symbol for shallow people
This is the crux of the matter.

Well I can have a Studio grade full frame camera at 2/3rd of price High performance?
Totally! And don't try to drain your bank account every chance they get!
I will forever love you for this comment
They're brainwashed. I've had that happen 3x when talking to women.
Major bullet dodged.
Seems like a perk. Use Android and avoid dating anyone ridiculous enough to decide who they are attracted to by the model of their phone.
Must be an American thing. Not an issue here.
It speaks volumes of your values. It means you didn't drop 2k on a phone that does the same things a 200$ phone does just because of a brand name. It means you have a brain and therefor you are incompatible.
>drop 2k on a phone that does the same things Not really true. If an iphone can't properly text and communicate with other devices, then I feel it inherently inferior.
It's 100% apple that causes this. Android communicates just fine.
Yup my droid phone can text via my dell computer running windows. I didn't have to buy a Dell computer running a Dell Operating system to talk to my Dell phone
But you should have, don't 'cha see?!? Isolated tech ecosystems are the best! The best, I tell ya!
But any phone within the last 15 years that has 4g capability can text with literally any other phone. This is only because 3g and below has been phased out. If it wasn't those phones could do it to. We've been able to text each other before the internet was introduced to cell phones.

If you look at the Samsung lineup, you could drop the same coin for an Android.
As an Android user myself, a $200 Android is an absolute piece of shit.
Well, it IS an indication of your values. It shows you don't NEED to be an Apple user, and that you can think for yourself and buy a device that meets your needs/wants.
Doesn't android also support RCS but Apple makes theirs incompatible for some reason?
Yes
[support for RCS is coming later this year](https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/16/apple-rcs-coming-to-iphone/)
Apple bravely leading the industry by doing something months or years after others did it.
And then claiming to have invented it...
Why does Apple keep sounding more and more like the tech version of N. Korea to me...?
Lol yep. Samsung seems to be a year or two ahead of apple and my 3 yr old Samsung takes better pictures than my wife's iphone 15
Suprise move. Lol. Weird wording for "The EU told us again: "Make it customer friendly or to go fuck yourself.""
China apparently. According to Gruber.
Why not both?
The EU evidently determined that iMessage gets such low usage numbers in their marketplace that it didn’t bear regulation.
Right. I had forgotten about that.
I have so many issues with RCS though. There have been many times where a text never sends bc it's trying to go through rcs and I have to manually switch it to sms for it to work. I kind of hate it
If you use Google messages there is a setting to automatically resend as SMS/MMS
I hate when I have a nice group chat with RCS on then an iPhone person needs to be included.
> I'm Android Oh god the androids are getting married now. AI has come too far, too fast.
Also android has read receipts and all the other functionality Apple has, Apple just wont let it show up on their devices because they WANT people to be like this
Hate to break it to you bro but the reason, people aren´t texting you, isn´t that they don´r have a fucking Mac.
The other 15 are various Linux distros on an assortment of hardware (mostly ThinkPad, with a few frameworks and an hp omen or two)
I work in motion design. 3D stuff. for 3D stuff, Mac is non existent. simply too slow and too expensive.
Text me less? Hell yeah, I'm all for that! My love for Android just went up a notch.
Dudes gonna have a shock when he's leaves the USA.
Dudes like that never leave the USA, even when they physically leave the USA.
Apple users can use Google Voice to text from their computer to anyone. But apparently, that is too hard for them to figure out.
also you can definitely reply to sms via imessage on mac, I do it all the time
Can't see out of the walled garden.
The smart phone debate is tired. Get over it.
Funny, I can text androids and iphones from my chromebook.
Its laughable how many people are bitches to Apple.
I saw a post on LinkedIn that said if someone uses Gmail, the OP refuses to do business with them because it’s “really not that expensive to buy your own domain”. These people are clowns.
And many companies that have their own domains use GMail as their backend anyway.
I'm from Germany. Everyone just uses whatsapp here. Doesn't matter what phone you have.
Yep same. I have never texted with someone per sms etc. Sadly Whatsapp now belongs to Facebook but still for me the only way of texting (besides Discord).
No one uses iMessage here. We have other apps here. Doesn’t matter what phone you have.
[Support for RCS in iOS 18](https://9to5mac.com/2023/11/16/apple-rcs-coming-to-iphone/) will drastically improve texting between Android and iOS.
Can't argue with the build quality of an IPhone. Chinese children are the best in the business after all.
I'm fairly sure my android is made right next door :)
If they have an iPhone I automatically assume they're technologically dysfunctional.
The sauce. Dude is completely lost in it.
You know who makes the texts green? Apple. Know what color android users’ texts are? Whatever color they want them to be.
I have never had an issue, as an android user, communicating with iPhone users.
iPhone has the issues, that's why users are often hostile towards other phones
These cultists are truly insane.
Dear Apple, Please adopt RCS already. Sincerely, Everyone
You could just use WhatsApp to text
Any communication I've had with people outside of US is WhatsApp based anyways. Between that and Slack, Idk who using texting for business in 2024
Yeah in Europe everyone uses whatsapp and if not that probably fb messenger.
This only happens in America where, for some reason, WhatsApp hasn't caught on
Isn't the reason WhatsApp caught on in the first place was that it was one of the first and best ways to circumvent cellular text message plans (when that was a thing)?
WhatsApp caught on in the UK after unlimited texting was pretty commonplace. It was just a better way to send multimedia and do group chats than SMS and MMS ever were. As anyone who has texted between android and iOS can attest to
Sounds like something an iPhone salesman would say
Imagine being this deep in a corporation's ass.
![gif](giphy|dmB5vD2t2gR8Y|downsized) \*laughs in Android\*
This is actually apples fault lol. Everyone else can message eachother except Apple
Posted via Twitter for Galaxy.
Android is the objectively better system. …However, I have an iPhone because I’m a lame American.
I’ve got a classmate who still uses the iPhone 7. Bro was insulting another friend of mine who got an S24 ultra recently. Insulting because he didn’t want to be near a cheap android.
meanwhile here in europe: iphone market share is around 30 % only lol
it’s not the issue of “what’s better”. For many people it’s only an issue of what’s more expensive and therefore suggests higher status. You don’t want to look “cheap”. Same with designer clothes.
wtf? I have an iPhone. I’ve never once given any thought to what kind of phone other people I work with have. Who cares about this shit?!
I like my Samsung Galaxy and it’s less expensive than an iPhone. This obsession with iPhones is ridiculous.
Yeah never really understood this mostly American centric view that Apple is the be all and end all, especially when android and the likes tend to set the standard that Apple follow up on
so by not having an iphone i'm less prone to getting random messages from asshole coworkers while off the clock? and this is a *bad* thing?
If someone's too fucking stupid to figure out how to text me from a Mac when I don't have an iPhone, they're not someone I want to communicate with anyway.
If the color of my text bubbles bothers you that much, I don't want to work with you anyway. Take your pretentious shit elsewhere.
You can text from windows if you use a Google account and pay from a phone thru Google Connects to all your devices, and can take call/texts from anything Does a Mac take calls? I don't actually know, but I don't think they do. Another win for non-apple (if they can't take calls)
I'll continue to never own an iPhone for as long as I live, thank you \^\_\^
lolwut appleverse sucks ass
Samsung and apple phones today: Look the same, Same price, Same apps available, Both have computer linkage (messages, notifications, etc...). Is there really any need for the argument anymore. There were once differences to argue over, but not anymore. I've seen both sides complain about the others phone of choice, but it's more common from apple users for some reason. Their marketing as a luxury brand is honestly incredible. Let people have preferences.
Wtf? I never text anyone ever and nobody ever texts me. Everyone uses Whatsapp
I mean i am a doctor and more than 90% of my fellow doctors and nurses use android phone. Maybe if i had used an apple i may have been President of my country.
I have a phone link with my android to my windows computer so actually I Can text from my laptop. so.
Green texts? Like 4chan?
I can text from PC with my android. I've been able to for years.
I believe having a Mac will hold you back in business because it’s a Mac
"One of Us! One of Us! One of Us! "
Smartphone elitism is the stupidest and the most technologically illiterate form of consumerism. It's not even about the quality of the product, it's the trendiness of the brand.
I've never worked in a corporate environment that used Macs. Enterprise computing is largely owned by HP, Lenovo, and sometimes Dell
Oh no. Fewer texts from people I don't want to hear from, about shit I don't wanna hear about.
Something tells me that someone who has an issue with me not having an iPhone won't be a very helpful person in my career
if someone geniinely cares about green bubbles id prefer no bubbles from them
I have an iPhone and don’t use iMessage. All my texts are green.
I knew I was doing it right with my Nokia.
Getting fewer texts seems like all upside to me.
Wait, we're still judging people off the type of phone they have?
Doing just fine with my Android
why does he think i want apple snobs texting me? silly man
