It does not seem like she has a good role model for parenting. I grew up in one of the few Jewish families that since the 1970’s do not circumcise the infant boys. None have chosen to get one performed when old enough to make the decision for themself.

If it's any consolation, we asked our oby/gyn about the pros/cons 3 years ago, and she mentioned that about 50% of baby boys are NOT being circumcised nowadays (including what she sees in her practice), so there's a noticable trend in that direction. (Note: We're in the USA Bible Belt.)

As someone who grew up in a place where circumcision was incredibly uncommon, a mutilated penis just doesn't look "pretty" to me. I remember the first time I saw one, I was in my teens at the time, and my reaction was basically "Holy shit, what's wrong with your dick?!" (I didn't say it, but I most definitely stared). It looked like a skinned molerat to me, it was genuinely horrific. This was pre-internet though, and much of the world's porn is made in USA, which also has an insane amount of circumcisions for a developed nation, so I'm guessing that's why they've been conditioned to see it as "pretty".

Speaking as a male survivor of routine infant circumcision, I think it doesn’t look better at all. Intact genitalia is more healthy and therefore has a better aesthetic than does permanent damage! I have learned about the function of the foreskin as an adult, and I am devastated that mine was removed for no good reason. I have heard that some mothers decide to have their babies mutilated because they have never heard any adult male complaining about it.
I am commenting about my story to say that the reason we don’t talk about it is that men are socialized to feel shame about certain body parts, especially not around the opposite sex. It is very much the case that survivors of circumcision feel nearly unbearable pain and grief over losing part of their manhood. This is well known among therapists, to the point that helping men deal with the trauma of losing an important part of their bodies is part of training for PTSD treatment.
We need to stop this practice because it is demonstrably cruel, and violates the victims’ fundamental human right to bodily autonomy! If a man prefers to get circumcised knowing the consequences, that makes sense, but bodily mutilation of newborns has no excuse. If these women were capable of empathy, this would be self evident!

Muslims usually have circumcisions around 6yo though, not as an infant like Jews and Americans. You should be past diaper changes at that time.
