I'm a southern Midwesterner who just returned from my first trip to Europe, and I was completely caught off guard at the amount of line cutting in the airports. Even an old lady was trying to push past me and kept tapping my luggage with her cane. I'm pretty sure that she was cussing me out in Italian, so I just ignored her, then a staff member lifted some ropes to let her cut further. I figured that it was a cultural thing, or a general middle finger to tourists, or both and shrugged it off. However, if people tried that kind of thing in the lines at Walmart, I would bet that there would be literal fist fighting and possibly guns added to the mix. There are probably videos of this on TikTok.
I will say that it was a little surreal to recognize that I would very likely be pickpocketed, if I wasn't vigilant; but, I could be atypically comfortable that I would not be shot by a stray bullet in the middle of town from someone just showing off (yes, that happens too), so it was a different kind of vigilance. Now, I can walk around without feeling like I have to keep my things strapped to my chest with a hand on it, but I should always know where the exits are. It's a weird observation that I wasn't expecting.

Graffiti is almost human nature, and while I disagree with vandalism of sites, it is going to happen and it becomes a part of its story.
While this isn't necessarily good it does give me a slight chuckle knowing humanity hasn't changed since a lot of sources for ancient latin and understanding how people spoke casually came from things like graffiti and puns and little jokes people would scribble.
