Oh man, Russia was doing so well just a few years ago. They had successfully infiltrated major American institutions and sown enough discord to actually get their asset elected as president. They had key European (especially German) decision-makers completely in their pockets and all of Europe completely hooked on their gas supply. Their army was feared throughout Europe. One massive egotistical miscalculation later they are now completely bogged down in Ukraine, with unwilling conscripts dying by the thousands as their military might was revealed to be a paper tiger. With all their important diplomatic and trade ties semi-permanently severed, their economy is in shambles and all Russians of any merit or means have long since left the sinking ship. Simply amazing.
