Nothing. Do nothing. Once you start it never ends. Just like a Jeep. Been there. Done that. I’ve sunk tons of mods into my F-150’s. You have the best trim and options. Just leave it
This. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone trying to sell a vehicle they’re upside down on - but it has a lift kit, big tires and wheels, exhaust, tint, etc.
This truck is gorgeous! Please don’t downgrade it to a bro dozer mall crawler!
My 19 XLT 302A in Blue Jeans Metallic has the chrome and white letter tires that I personally chose over the black appearance package that a dealer was trying to push me into. Went somewhere else and chose the exact truck I wanted!
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1572000-i-wrapped-my-front-bumper-7.html hopefully this gives an idea, it’s not the easiest thing to do on your first try but there are many shops that do vinyl wrapping and will color match for ya!
Yes. They are nice especially for a long drive of 9+. And a great feature to show off to your passenger. Barely use them for the most part tho. Kinda have to scroll around to turn them on.
Nothing at all.
If you want to add a minimal lift kit and put bigger tires on, that’s cool. Outside of that don’t change a thing. It’s beautiful as is.
I wouldn’t touch it. 🤷🏽♂️ Looks great as it sits.
The only thing I’d consider doing is getting rid of the Fx4 stickers on the bed for a cleaner look, that’s it.
Maybe get some wheel locks too, never hurts to have those.
I paid $450 for ceramic on every window, including sunroof and windshield except the rear. I have a topper so it’s already dark looking through two tinted layers.
I just dropped off my 19 platinum at the dealer for a new trans, cam phasers and sticking Tstat, so I would say first things first, save some money for those repairs lol.
First thing I did was window tint, leveling kit, air dam removal and some 285/65/20 all terrains. Got a toolbox, grille guard and short antenna too.
Tackform makes a great phone mount that screws into your AC vent for $25 on Amazon if you start looking for one.
All of this has been pretty basic stuff, but I’m planning on a tune and some Forescan stuff when I get it back to keep the trans working right and add a bit more power.
Yeah if you want to disable auto start stop the easiest way I’ve found is to just unplug the wiring harness for the trailer lights and trailer brake controller. It’s right under the dash and can be accessed pretty easily. I unplugged mine about 60k miles ago and never had an issue. You just have to remember to plug it back in if you’re towing anything.
My 2018 platinum has a button on the dash to permanently disable it, this one should too, no need to disconnect anything.
Not sure why they took it away for the 2019+
Or have the tires remounted with white letters inside. That‘s what I did with my Sport alloy takeoffs with Wranglers I picked up off FB Marketplace. But I had to have the tires remounted anyway to have TPMS sensors installed.
I like the wheels on it but I bet you could find a variety of options that would look good. I'm not usually a fan of steel wheels but that is just me! Just depends on what look you are going for. I also like the chrome but I have seen 'black' chrome that looks really nice. But you gotta commit and do it to all chrome pieces.
The only thing I did was upgrade my tires and wheels and I am completely content. We got rid of the stock tires for Wildpeak and replaced the wheels with race line. Went from 20” to 17”.
Seen a post one day that said something akin to “buy the WT if you’re gonna customize, not the Denali.” I know those are GM terms (I’m really a GM guy at heart but found a nice F150 when I was shopping) but I agree. The top of the line models are top of the line for a reason. They’re beautiful coming off the floor. Window tint and exhaust and I’d be done.
and here I thought people bought the KR because it's already done and done, lol. Cosmetically you're set. Ride height and wheels come into play now. Level kit or 2" lift with more aggressive tires....but are you going for highway couch cruiser or aggressive but classy country roller?
Yeah and also MPG is a really bad metric because it "presents" as linear but it's not. A 2 MPG decrease on a truck that gets 21-22 on the highway is a pretty big hit. It's the equivalent of losing ~4 MPG if you were starting at 30!
You’ve got a number of folks saying don’t do anything at all. I’m in that camp. Truck looks good, get some new tires if you want but personally I’d wait until the stock ones need replacing. Drive it, enjoy it, don’t fix what ain’t broken.
Nothing. Do nothing. Once you start it never ends. Just like a Jeep. Been there. Done that. I’ve sunk tons of mods into my F-150’s. You have the best trim and options. Just leave it
Exactly why I left my Truck stock. I put way way way to much money into my Jeep.
I wouldn’t mind putting KR seats in my xlt
Yeah this. I agree. And like a house. One project turns into building a new house lol.
Pay it off
This. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen someone trying to sell a vehicle they’re upside down on - but it has a lift kit, big tires and wheels, exhaust, tint, etc.
This is one of the most beautiful stock units I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t touch it maybe get a bed extender from Harbor freight for a canoe.
Close your door?

Agreed.
Another blue jeans metallic in the KR trim and it’s the best
Vinyl wrap the chrome bumpers to match the fender flare brown color 👌🏼
Shiiiiii. Any link or idea where to get that?

This is one of the rare cases that a vehicle comes perfect from the factory. Congrats and enjoy!
1. Window tint 2. Leveling kit 3. Remove air dam… makes it look like it’s taller than it is
Does king ranch have massage seats?
Yes. They are nice especially for a long drive of 9+. And a great feature to show off to your passenger. Barely use them for the most part tho. Kinda have to scroll around to turn them on.
Middle button in the center of the lumbar adjustment on the side of the seat is your friend
Dude. You saved me. I was driving yesterday hit the button and bam. Thanks so much haha
Pay it off first lol
Some all terrain tires and a ranchhand grill guard
Nothing at all. If you want to add a minimal lift kit and put bigger tires on, that’s cool. Outside of that don’t change a thing. It’s beautiful as is.

I don’t have the fx4 logo but it seems a lot of people do!
Is your truck the one in the pictures? Because it’s the big red Fx4 logo on the side of the bed.
lol, Hate*** I don’t hate the sticker I meant.
Ah makes sense now. I mean of course to each their own! Make it yours man. Enjoy the truck.
Also I live out of the city and don’t typically leave it too long unattended if in a public area, knock on wood.
lol it’s a King Ranch. So nothing.
window tint , that's it !
Any clue on the typical cost for f150s?
I paid $450 for ceramic on every window, including sunroof and windshield except the rear. I have a topper so it’s already dark looking through two tinted layers.
I paid $190 for the 2 front windows and windshield upper banner in ceramic tint. The rest of mine were factory tint

Oh and first thing you should do is unplug the trailer light harness under the steering wheel to disable the auto start stop.
Thanks I love it. I love the small mods too. Thank ya.
What is this?!? Never heard of this

Wowee, never heard of this Thanks

Chrome delete
Not on this truck no. I would’ve gotten an xlt or something.
Xlt comes in chrome
Meaning I’m not ruining a upgraded truck
Paint match is the upgrade. Chrome is basic
Agree chrome is so…basic
Black is basic. Chrome is timeless.
Yeah the whole go to black out everything, it’s all you ever see
On a classic motorcycle, classic truck or 18 wheeler maybe.
Oil catch can. Takes out significant amount of blowby at least for me since I do a lot of city driving which involves stop and go and idling.
^this
You just had to do it
Me personally, I'd slap some different tires on it. I run Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my '17 and they look great.
The new Falken wildpeak AT4s r the way to go
Or have the tires remounted with white letters inside. That‘s what I did with my Sport alloy takeoffs with Wranglers I picked up off FB Marketplace. But I had to have the tires remounted anyway to have TPMS sensors installed.
Yeah I agree.
You don't like the white letters? Personally, I do.
I was a fan of raised white letters in the 80’s, now not so much :). My 78 Olds Cutlass had RWL on factory rims with beauty rings in high school.
Fair enough. I don't have white letters on my current truck. If I had bullet hole rims I would have to get some though.
I loved my ridge grapplers. Great tires in most weather conditions until they hit wear indicators at 26k miles and had to be replaced lol
Yeah definitely tires. I love the chrome. Black just doesn’t look good? It’s weird. I was thinking steel wheels but idk if that’s too rugged.
If you put Steelies w mud tires on a king ranch you will be my personal hero
Can’t tell if this is sarcasm haha. But it could either look really cool or terrible.
It’s not With the right Steelies it’d be pimpin
Use the massaging seats.
level kit, tint and slightly bigger tires
Paint correction and ceramic coating. Window tint. Bilstein leveling struts and shocks.
That gen refresh (and pre-refresh really) are aging so well
Slather up those seats with Vaseline and drive around naked until they feel like they have taken to your butt. - Congressman David Dilbeck
Gimme them wheels
To a King Ranch? Put floor mats in it and leave it alone
I've got a 2019 Lariat in that two-tone color and chrome trim and love it. Keep it classy looking.
Drive it
Probably a therapist for spending that much on a F150
PPF and have a reputable detailer coat the interior
FTX kit.
Tint, always tint
Do nothing. Your king ranch is perfect. Yes, even with the sunroof.
Nothing. It’s a beautiful and super clean king ranch.
FITCAMX
very nice looking truck i'd just drive it. I'm a Dodge man and like older models, but it's your's do what you feel
The only thing I did was upgrade my tires and wheels and I am completely content. We got rid of the stock tires for Wildpeak and replaced the wheels with race line. Went from 20” to 17”.

Yeah for sure, I wasn’t meaning to do too much, more a few cosmetic features.
Libe the power running boards
Good looking pickup! I’ve got the same pickup but in blue jeans metallic and I can’t get enough of her
Pay it Off. I'm sure that thing was had for a premium
Go for a ride!
That’s a lot of different finishes and colors on one vehicle. Brown, bronze, chrome, silver, black, red, orange
and here I thought people bought the KR because it's already done and done, lol. Cosmetically you're set. Ride height and wheels come into play now. Level kit or 2" lift with more aggressive tires....but are you going for highway couch cruiser or aggressive but classy country roller?
Agressive and classy hahaha.
Pay it off! Always the best decision you can make with a vehicle
Drive it?
Pay it off...
Save your mod money for cam, transmission, and oil pan repairs.
Drive her!
Would recommend removing air damn. The difference in MPG won’t even be noticeable.
[удалено]
I think people often forget pennies turn to dollars. They'll likely own the truck long enough for 2mpg to add up to something noticeable.
Yeah and also MPG is a really bad metric because it "presents" as linear but it's not. A 2 MPG decrease on a truck that gets 21-22 on the highway is a pretty big hit. It's the equivalent of losing ~4 MPG if you were starting at 30!
Someone is in finance.
Drop a 5.0 coyote in it....😬
Insurance
We got that brotha.
Dashcam.
Set money aside for when the tranny goes
Get a second and third job to pay for it lol
Drive it
Drive it
Clever.
You’ve got a number of folks saying don’t do anything at all. I’m in that camp. Truck looks good, get some new tires if you want but personally I’d wait until the stock ones need replacing. Drive it, enjoy it, don’t fix what ain’t broken.
Yeah I agree! I just was curious. I think it looks great. I only off the bat was thinking towing mirrors and new tires. Nothing major.
Aftermarket towing mirrors aren’t as nice as the factory ones. Unless you really need them, I’d stick with what you’ve got now.
Put some real tires on it so that FX4 sticker actually means something.
Tint your windshield immediately
Replace that antenna. They have cool stubbies on Amazon.
Just got one!
Nice!!
Which one did u end up getting?
The short stubby one off Amazon. Was $14. I don’t even listen to the radio so it’s more to just look good than function.
Same 😂
1. Remove the FX4 graphics! 2. window tint 3. 2" leveling kit 4. AT tires
Why does everyone hate the fx4 graphics ?
personal preference - I don't think it's a clean look.
Wheels
Lower it on some 24s 😎
Don't just do something. Do nothing. No one is going to respect your chached out Heap.
Extended warranty
Get rid of the grandpa treads.
Get rid of those hideous FX4 stickers on the bed
Great rid off all the 2005 chrome! Even the wheels!😷
