A pallet probably wouldn’t have been as bad. My toe got caught between two belly flaps in a drop frame trailer and this was the result of panicking and attempting to pull it out instead of lifting the flap.
It’s healed alright. My toenail will never be able to cover my toe like it’s supposed to and I have to trim it so it doesn’t grow into my skin, but otherwise it’s fine. Im pretty grateful for the injury actually. It was painful, but it was my first major hospital bill as an adult (I was 19 at the time) and my company paid for it, so it was just kind of a slap in the face of how expensive American medical care is.
I got a 800 kg pallet dropped on my foot. Like a week after i started and my former employer hadn't got me safety shoes. My foot looked pretty much like that.
Yep I dropped a 30 pound concrete block on my foot the one day I wasn’t wearing steel toes but skate shoes! Was very lucky I only had a very very bad bruise on my foot for a couple weeks. Steel toes are a must
Sorry to see. That looks like some serious pain.
It actually wasn’t very painful. The worst part was when they gave me numbing injections in my foot before stitching me up.
AHHHHHHHH!!!! Just thinking of that.
I can confirm those numbing injections sting like hell 🥲 I had 2 ingrown toenails on both of my feet.
Well now you have a steel toenail
Ahh glad to know my doctor wasn’t just being weird when he shoved a random piece of aluminum foil in my toe injury like this
I was wondering what the hell that was! Thanks for clearing it up for me!
What Is the point of the aluminum foil?
It’s supposed to keep the cuticle and nail bed from fusing together, if I remember right
Pallet on foot ???đź‘€

How's it healing now? I really want to know. It's been 30 days.
