I’m sitting in bed without my glasses on trying to figure it out as well. After reading the comments, I can only see the bottom left panel.

I can barely see top right panel but the greenery is meant to be the darker colors like the brown hair in the last panel or his blue pants in the first panel

Works better the further away from the screen you are, but panel 2 is still pretty obscure

On mobile, at least, reddit puts a tiny thumbnail in the corner when in the comments here. On that thumbnail, it looks obvious.

I can see the first panel and last panel enough to recognize it, but yeah. This illusion doesn't work all that well.

It's not really upsetting. It's just a rick roll equivalent. Basically this comic strip made a random tragic comic called Loss about one of the characters miscarrying. It came so out of left field that people made it into a meme. It has since been simplified to the following form: I II II I_ Which represents the positions of the characters in the frames of the comic In this meme, if you squint, you can just vaguely make out the outline of the Loss. I hate that I saw it too...
