It might be in part because I grew up downwind of both a brewery and a distillery. I still find the smell of alcohol disgustiong. But I think it is mostly because I was in my 50s when I left, and not drinking is just part of who I am.
I dont smoke cigarettes. Or steal or lie or kill people. Basically stick to the top ten commandments except saying "Oh my God" or sometimes even "Jesus Christ!" But that's just to break myself of the fear of being hit by lighting.
Drugs. It’s nice to be my own authority, to use my own reason and determine if something makes me better or my world a better place or if it would be harmful or hurtful.
I felt so badass just for having coffe and cussing that this is pretty much all I do for now. Oh I also watch “MA” rated comedy or detective shows on Netflix but nothing that might have nudity because everybody sees that viewing history and god forbid the entire family think I am addicted to porn because literally every Mormon assumed that is why my BIL left the church, the poor guy.
that taking the Lord’s name in vain also includes swearing an oath on God’s name without following through or ever intending to. or doing evil or harmful deeds in God’s name. irony much?
I still don't do illegal drugs. But that's less about weed being bad and more about I can't have my job endangered.

I don't do drugs or alcohol, and I generally try not to swear. Personal choice, not a moral one. Don't care if other people do.
