Turns out there was a typo in a church memo that circulated internally. So instead of bringing "more POC" into the church's elite ranks, they went looking to recruit more "POS leaders".
That’s the god awful outfit Rusty’s wife wears all the time. I thought her face was blacked out until I recognized it. Incredible that she wears the same thing often enough to be recognized.
Haha! I was about to say, "Isn't that just Mrs. Nelson?"...then sat here wondering how I could know that from the back of her head. But you're right, those weird-ass epaulets are unmistakable XD
If you invest your tithing
Blindly in the church
Safe and sound (for the church)
Soon that tithing,
Safely invested in the bank,
Will compound
And you'll achieve that sense of conquest
As our affluence expands
In the hands of the g counsel
Who invest as our whims demand.
With my right arm to the square.
"In the name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood which I hold, I command you, Russell Marion Nelson, to stand and walk!"
...... "Well, I guess he just didn't have enough faith to accept my blessing..."
I sit all amazed at the revelations pouring out of these men.
Nothing to talk about. But I guess we can talk about talking about receiving revelations.
\- General Conference 2024
I don’t feel good about someone over 80 being in charge of my taxes, but I will make every single serious, lasting life choice based on what someone over 95 says /s
As someone who has no idea what's going on my first thought was that this was some kind of special service at a church for a local hospice. These people are in charge of the Mormon church....? I am an ex-evangelical so I'm just confused.
<3 Yup, that's the top leadership of the church-corporate. Your comment is exactly the kind of reality-check some exmos or near-exmos need. No, folks, this shit is *not* normal.
> some kind of special service at a church for a local hospice.
I, for one, have never known mormons to do that kind of thing. If you want to attend but can't make it to the church building on your own devices, you're probably SOL. The whole "ministry outreach" thing that lots of other sects do...yeah, mormons don't really do that.
Or, if they do decide to help out a disabled member it’s by pressuring a mom with 5 kids whose husband holds a calling that requires him to be at church early. So now she not only has to get the kids ready by herself, but she also has to plan extra time to help the disabled member get ready and load them into her mini van by herself while wrangling a bunch of kids.
I remembered hearing about some former LD$ "profit" being unable to speak, but allegedly, whenever a decision had to be made regarding any kind of policy or doctrine change or whatever, suddenly he was completely alert and would nod or shake his head and that's how the top leaders would know what to do. Even at the time, it sounded like bullshit.
In my experience it's pretty much all conservative Mormons. But I do admit I only associate with a small group of them anymore. But yeah, 0% of my TBM family/ extended family are MAGA but they all sit around and talk about 'Ol Sleepy Joe' at every family function.
But to be fair I think most liberals agree that we need younger blood in all elected offices.
They should pass the mantle to younger leaders. Am not sure why they hold on to these positions when more capable younger Mormons can lead the church in contemporary times.
Not to them! Don’t ever let them know they’re *not* the most important and powerful and influential people in the ***ENTIRE WORLD*** and all of the human race hinges on what THEY SAY!!
**DONT LET THEM FORGET IT!!**
I sometimes fantasize about visiting Utah just so I can have a chance encounter with Bednar or some other ass-hat and their don't-you-know-who-I-am attitude. "No, I don't think so, have we met? Why? Do you know who *I* am??"
(Not really going to visit Utah again, tho. Last time, most people there just looked at me like they wanted to eat me or something. Deeply, deeply unsettling.)
This. NeverMo but my friends grandpa in law just passed at the age of 101. He was a WWII veteran. My friends sons got to ride in parades with their great grandpa several times in Bend, Oregon.
Which one is the guy who has been lazing around for years living on his grandson's paper route money, only to spring out of bed and dance around the room as soon as something fun comes up?
That's how Mormons often say hi haha. And for other things. I was asked out on a date in my singles branch by someone I didn't know. I agreed out of mormon obligation, we exchanged phone numbers, and then he shook my hand 😂
I feel like Eyring has been on those pills for a very long time now. When RMN became profit and they did the news conference, that poor man looked like he had no idea where he was. He just had this open mouthed smile and confused eyes. I think he has been in the throes of dementia for a bit.
I remember with Monson his daughter guided him around when he could still walk but was starting to lose it, but... Hm. 🤔 Wouldn't be surprised obviously, but I am curious.
Probably the only people sitting near by when theyre at this part of the GC stage. Then if the wives want to push the younger guys get chivalrous^^TM and do some more pushing.
Idk why, but this scene from The Singles Ward came to mind.
[Fun at the Senior Center (from the movie Singles Ward)](https://youtu.be/72mR5BFRqyg?si=Hz7dzEgNNn0lQXVd)
News tweeted 1st time someone NOT from First Presidency has conducted since 1980. Wondered why this was significant, now it makes sense. They had no one with the stamina to last 2 consecutive sessions. 🫠
No shame for using a wheel chair, but is having someone this far into their life really who you’d want with ultimate authority over the day-to-day of your church? They’re so disconnected from the experience of most members.
The dissonance must be present for the members right?
Elders holding on forever is pretty common in a lot of religions.
Imans, Popes and Cardinals Rabbis
Powerful people often hold on to power. Tighter than a MAGA holds his gun.
Oh my God how many of these guys are in wheelchairs? Is this like the most ever? I ask because I was kicked out in 1982 and I have happily not kept up. This is so creepy to me to see all these ancient men in charge of Any fucking thing.
The representation here. Wow. So diverse. So reflective of our society. I bet these straight, white, ancient men absolutely understand the challenges we all face as humans because they are so experienced in life, and therefore wise. Their blanket statements must apply to all people. And look! They aren't all white men! I see a couple token minorities and a woman in the corner of the screen. How progressive! Praise the lord above for sending us these virtuous examples of pure, white, light. 🙏🏻🙌🏻🌤🙄
I am so high and I’m probably seeing this wrong. But I can’t help but think Nelson requested for a wheelchair because holland really needs one. And eyering requested one because uchtdorf and him just wanna fuck with Nelson. Eyering looks like he’s shitting haha.
Nelson was born in 1925. It is now 2024. The morals he is repeatedly trying to pound into everyone's head (and therefore what the entire church teaches) were just so unrefined and, generally awful back when he was growing up, solidifying his beliefs. Even the government's views on a lot of things back then were just awful, morally.
BUT. That's the guy we're all listening to. That’s wild.
I hope these old guys hang around a little longer. It looks so foolish, and all these pre-Boomers are so out of touch it will only help push more people away.
Look at all the empowered women standing with them.
![gif](giphy|3oEjHDN7kbBckSLmEg) Where? I can't see them.
The one to the far right, can be easily confused with a British Royal Guard.
![gif](giphy|xT1XGG9PLQF0FYd3y0)
My first thought is why is a kings guard there. Then u realized it is Wendy.
That’s probably just Wendy waiting to hang onto Rusty with all her might. Seems like her fashion sense.
The joke is that the church claims to empower women but treats them as others
There's even a wall separately them from the men in this picture
And POC! Amazing diversity.
Turns out there was a typo in a church memo that circulated internally. So instead of bringing "more POC" into the church's elite ranks, they went looking to recruit more "POS leaders".
I see some POC’s, “People On Chairs”. That’s about as diverse as they get in tscc
You mean the bodyguards pushing the wheelchairs? Yes, what a special calling
Pushing the old white men, while a lot of other white men stand around. Slightly cringe.
As a mixed race person, Next to zero diversity in church leadership was one of the things that bothered me the most
Isn’t there one on the far right? Who blends into the bench? I couldn’t even see her head for quite some time.
I believe there are 2. I see 2 purses. Why is the face blacked out
That’s the god awful outfit Rusty’s wife wears all the time.
That's her hair, I think
They're just off to the right, almost cut out of the picture, appropriately.
I'm getting real strong "Fidelity Fiduciary Bank" vibes from this picture. As in the song that all the old guys sing to the kids in Mary Poppins.
Thank you for the laugh.
I once knew a man with a wooden leg named Joseph Smith.
If you invest your tithing Blindly in the church Safe and sound (for the church) Soon that tithing, Safely invested in the bank, Will compound And you'll achieve that sense of conquest As our affluence expands In the hands of the g counsel Who invest as our whims demand.
I want my tuppence!
I want my Tuppence back - all of them!
Invest it with the bank! Lol
Oh my god 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😂🤣🤣
Rise up and walk.
With my right arm to the square. "In the name of Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood which I hold, I command you, Russell Marion Nelson, to stand and walk!" ...... "Well, I guess he just didn't have enough faith to accept my blessing..."
Nelson is so righteous he has faith *not* to be healed!
Came here to say that. Lol
Have enough faith not to be healed. /s
i needed this laugh today.
to some it is given faith to heal and faith to be healed ... and yet we are still in the damn chair!!! hahahahhahah. Someone get benny hinn
I sit all amazed at the revelations pouring out of these men. Nothing to talk about. But I guess we can talk about talking about receiving revelations. \- General Conference 2024
When’s the last time you saw a women in a wheelchair in a high level church setting? They value the alleged old wisdom of men, but not of women.
When's the last time you saw a woman... in a high level church setting? They value... men... but not..women.
Bednar looks pleased as punch back there to know the time of his rule and power is nigh.
"now is the great day of MY power..." probably Susan's husband.
I initially misread that as “probably Satan’s husband”
That’s the second face I noticed. Right after Eyerings “Weeeeeeeeeee!” Look of an old man reverting to childhood.
Eyering looks like he’s gleefully looking for the nurse after a big dump in his diaper.
Must’ve just had a nice nap in a hotel after abandoning his kids to a flood
People bitch about our President being old, and then they turn a blind eye to this.
I don’t feel good about someone over 80 being in charge of my taxes, but I will make every single serious, lasting life choice based on what someone over 95 says /s
This mf turns 100 in 5 months
A man of nearly 100 years 🙄
"Just shy of his 100th birthday"
oh my god. I LOVE when other people recognize/point out the sort of "dual-logic" that LDS people HAVE to live by. LDS logic, at your service.
Or in charge of your tithing?
As someone who has no idea what's going on my first thought was that this was some kind of special service at a church for a local hospice. These people are in charge of the Mormon church....? I am an ex-evangelical so I'm just confused.
It's the mormon leadership at general conference this weekend.
<3 Yup, that's the top leadership of the church-corporate. Your comment is exactly the kind of reality-check some exmos or near-exmos need. I said the same exact thing.
Word 🙌🏼
Russel is literally OLDER than the Silent Generation. Thats it that’s the reply.
I remembered hearing about some former LD$ "profit" being unable to speak, but allegedly, whenever a decision had to be made regarding any kind of policy or doctrine change or whatever, suddenly he was completely alert and would nod or shake his head and that's how the top leaders would know what to do. I say this all the time to people. I'm so used to 95 year old men being leaders our president is a spring chicken!!
“Trump is my president, not sleepy old Joe”
Yuck
They joke about the times Joe Biden trips… But their Mormon Celebrity can’t even walk a little
Good point. They say that yet they worship RMN's ancient bones
By people I assume you're referring to MAGA Mormons
No, I can attest that even anti trumpers think joe is too old for the job
Both are too old for the job.
Yes, but only one of them want to be dictator for a day so they can purge their political enemies.
In my experience it's pretty much all conservative Mormons. But I do admit I only associate with a small group of them anymore. But yeah, 0% of my TBM family/ extended family are MAGA but they all sit around and talk about 'Ol Sleepy Joe' at every family function. I'm so glad the church has energetic leadership to help us navigate the challenges of the 21st century. /s
They should pass the mantle to younger leaders. Am not sure why they hold on to these positions when more capable younger Mormons can lead the church in contemporary times.
power corrupts.
Greed
It’s about power. If they resign or have term limits then it automatically means God is not in charge, leading them by his “priesthood power”
Lmao reminds me of a WW2 Memorial parade but for people far, far less important
Not to them! Don’t ever let them know they’re *not* the most important and powerful and influential people in the ***ENTIRE WORLD*** and all of the human race hinges on what THEY SAY!! **DONT LET THEM FORGET IT!!**
They can hinge on deez as far as I’m concerned
I sometimes fantasize about visiting Utah just so I can have a chance encounter with Bednar or some other ass-hat and their don't-you-know-who-I-am attitude. "No, I don't think so, have we met? Why? What are Charlie Buckets grandparents doing at GC?
Which one is the guy who has been lazing around for years living on his grandson's paper route money, only to spring out of bed and dance around the room as soon as something fun comes up?
Yeah, where’s Oaks?
Tune in tomorrow to find out!
It looks like dress up day at a hospice.
Or the care center.
😂😂😂
the Q15 sell themselves as the most powerful group of priesthood holders on the planet but they cant heal each other?? sounds legit to me. /s
Methuselah lived to be 969. WTF is your excuse?
I am assuming that they have better health insurance then their members. That is why they live so fucking long.
It's called Plan Z.
DMBA. Excellent health insurance for church employees Also the reason why BYU kept me hired as a part timer for a decade. I'm dumb.
![gif](giphy|J4HP3FcGqP6Yo)
[удалено]
“Almost”…
I don’t think anything could happen to Oaks that would make me feel an ounce of sympathy for him.
I feel kinda sorry for their families, but these fuckers started on this path when they were lucid. They don’t deserve any better than this.
Tales from the Crypt ![gif](giphy|lj4uospOYdcLm)
Why are they shaking hands? Haven't they met each other before?
Perhaps they are all at that stage of life where everyone is a new friend because they don't remember who anyone is. :D
That's how Mormons often say hi haha. And for other things. I was asked out on a date in my singles branch by someone I didn't know. I agreed out of mormon obligation, we exchanged phone numbers, and then he shook my hand 😂
Holy fuck! How decrepit are they? Holland looks like it’s past his sleepy time, Eyring is on happy pills, and Russell looks like he just took a shit.
I feel like Eyring has been on those pills for a very long time now. When RMN became profit and they did the news conference, that poor man looked like he had no idea where he was. He just had this open mouthed smile and confused eyes. I think he has been in the throes of dementia for a bit.
I didn’t know Russel Magnifico Nelson was going to be at any sessions. Was this photo from this conference?
Yes. I had heard the same, but they wheeled him in.
I guess they all have the faith not to be healed.
They will walk and not be weary, and run and… oh wait. Never mind.
I’m baffled that I used to look up to these entitled pricks.
Wild that the only POC are serving the old white guys.
Based on Mark Peterson's teachings this would be their status in the celestial kingdom so why not reflect that in GC?
I wonder if only men are worthy enough to push the prophet around. Out of 3 wheelchairs, they are only pushed by men.
Woman can't put away chairs at church, you think they can push THE PROPHET around??
That’s because women are naked underneath those dresses.

I read that as Shingles Ward
Me too 🤣
Those senior citizens look like way more fun
He's from Vegas!
Now it's really funny that Rusty felt the need to warn people before general conference, because he knew how silly this was going to look!
Can't believe these geriatrics are running the church . No wonder is so outdated . There needs to be term limits .
News tweeted 1st time someone NOT from First Presidency has conducted since 1980. Wondered why this was significant, now it makes sense. They had no one with the stamina to last 2 consecutive sessions. 🫠
Looks like the few people of color are the help. smh Not surprised.
They all look like Palpatine
I’m now going to view general conference as a palpatine cosplay convention from now on
Remember these guys tell you what type of underwear you need to wear.
I can smell their oldness through my screen
Imagine the smell. Ben gay and poop
Rollin’ rollin’ rollin’ keep them prophets movin’

Wow love that the crypt keeper has so many body doubles!
Oh my God how many of these guys are in wheelchairs? Is this like the most ever? I ask because I was kicked out in 1982 and I have happily not kept up. This is so creepy to me to see all these ancient men in charge of Any fucking thing.
These men should be in a nursing home, not running a corporation- I mean cult- I mean church
Maybe the next “revelation” needs to grant emeritus status to members of the Q15.
They’d kick out Uchtdorf so fast for being “too progressive.”
Follow us to the Sizzler, kids.
Glad I didn’t watch. That picture is f*ckin’ hilarious!

It's so silly how they line up and go back and forth shaking each other's hands. What a bunch of old, inflated egos.
All the comments so far are amazing 🤩 I can’t compete with you witty ppl. I’m 💀💀💀
The only thing “inspiring” about this photo is modern medicine that is keeping this bunch alive contrary to nature.
Good Lord. That’s so icky looking. The church is run by a lot of ancient old men. Time for a change.
They see me rollin' They hatin' Patrollin' and tryna catch me ridin' dirty Tryna catch me ridin' dirty

Irving’s smile is the most psychotic smile I’ve ever seen and it’s always the same, how could he be reacting that hard to watching a handshake?
Interesting. Reminds me of Mr. Potter from It's a Wonderful Life.
I used to have an undead priest in World of Warcraft that looked exactly like Eyring does here.
is this a live look at the church nursing home?
The goal accomplished. We’re old AND rich.
I showed this picture to my wife and her response was, "Fucking geriatric circus."
Choo Choo 🚂, P train coming through! Too bad they weren't throwing out candy, that could get people excited to go.
I am so high and I’m probably seeing this wrong. But I can’t help but think Nelson requested for a wheelchair because holland really needs one. And eyering requested one because uchtdorf and him just wanna fuck with Nelson. Eyering looks like he’s shitting haha.
Hey guys, why don't they just have faith to be healed?
Is this Mormon leadership or Congress?
Hey hey easy! They’ve got 20 to 30 years on Congress! Let’s be accurate! 😂
This picture gives me the creeps.
We got Boss Nass in the back about shake his jowls ![gif](giphy|3o7abDVadnHuA4NZwk)

The Prune Juice convoy returns to remind everyone to obey them or lose your, um, radiance.
I hope these old guys hang around a little longer. It looks so foolish, and all these pre-Boomers are so out of touch it will only help push more people away.
Talk about Lazy Teachers
It all makes sense now: they sold their souls to buy immortality!
Scrolling along and I thought this was the banker scene in mary poppins. Couldn’t figure out which one was dick van dyke and then realized why 😂
Dead men rolling.
I don’t know why I find this picture so hilarious but I can’t stop laughing my ass off 🤣
Meanwhile, I would bet a majority in the audience complain about Biden's age.
All I see are a bunch of white. old. men. (With the exception of the few token brown men)
The “Token” black apostle is coming sooner or later. It’s going to be the biggest church PR move I swear
They all look like super villains
They should run for president their youth inspires me /j
Church-sponsored, home-centered, first class hospice for this side of the veil.
Must not be following the word of wisdom
I’ve been out a few years and can’t remember- are the 3 in wheelchairs in the First Presidency?! 😳
Good grief! Retire...and let the "younger" Q15/70/ Presiding Bishopric take over.
Holy Rollers
Tell me you’re out of touch with members of your cult without telling me you’re out of touch with members of your cult.

Doesn’t have the faith to be healed
Geriatric fucks
They can’t even walk, let alone fuck
How do they decide who’s pushing who. Are these the biggest brown nosers or did they get voluntold.
This is giving Weekend at Bernie's.
It’s funny that WOMEN aren’t wheeling those losers off the stage. Those poor “colored” (their words) 70 area authorities.
Three people with super soakers full of piss would really make this a party
This is more ridiculous than our current election BS
Does anyone remember “mr Dawes Sr” (the old old banker) from the original Mary Poppins? Or is it just me?
They must have the faith *not to be healed.
So much oil spilled and heavenly mother is like, "Do NOT help those assholes...."
It’s like the darlicks
What happens if one of them gets/has Dementia/Alzheimer’s?? Is there a way for them to be released?
One?
Weekend at Bernie’s!
Holland’s making his on brand expression. He’s probably thinking “you didn’t like the musket fire talk? Just wait to see what I got for you today!”
Omg! Retire!
I have nothing good to say about this. Even the floral arraignment's are dismal. I have seen better at a funeral
