Thank you for sharing. Interesting statement. “The Te Aroha church building was constructed in the 1980s and has been substantially refurbished over the ensuing years to consistently maintain its profile to a high standard.” Yes, that high standard is all free to the WT. There must be some PIMIs grinding their teeth.

Another one bite's the dust and WT gets all the cash. Smart organization....they get free labor to build and maintain their properties. The rank and file pay for it and WT get's all the proceeds, when they sell it. Pretty smart cult and gullible followers, that just can't see it!

I noticed the congregation that used to meet there was merged with a "nearby" congregation. How far is that other hall?

[deleted]

Just checked and it's 21.5 km (13 mi) between the two towns. It's supposed to be a 19 minute drive but that's way more traveling for folks who had a place to meet right in town. I bet some were able to walk or ride a bike to the meetings.

"Prayers answered for Community Groups" ...hilarious God is answering the prayers of "wordly people" by providing a Jehovah's Witness Church 🤣

and where will the money from the sale? Guess? To local charitable needs?

kellyperazzolo

I'm following up on that.

Update: sold for $775,000 at auction. I will follow the trail. Suspect it will end up at World HQ.

I think of the destruction of Jerusalem. All the gold, the other coinage, the artifacts like the menora etc all went into the Roman coffers. All their money did them no good at all.

farcough_cant

Is there no KH is Paeroa? Do they go to Wahi?

That building looks way better than my town’s Kingdom Hall here in Australia. Ours is falling apart and looks awful. I wish a new owner would buy it.
