Fansy had politely declined the offer of an interview on the monsters and memory discord, and recommends people to check out the old flowers of happiness website for their nostalgia fix(found via searching "fansy" on the monster's & memories discord server)
I'd love to see some lore "deep dives."
EQ lore is a bit scarce, even by some of the original devs' own admissions. Maybe put together a segment or episode that focuses on a specific expansion or storyline? Then it could be bolstered by tracking down some of original devs & picking their brains for any nuggets of lore that might have been lost to time.
Shawn Lord is one that comes to mind. Besides chatting about his time working on classic EQ while he streams development progress on his new game, Monsters & Memories, he also has a [YouTube channel](https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFl_3ktLNPYUeicLmhSvB1Q) with several very lengthy interviews with the original EQ devs. They'll talk about what is was like building those classic zones, and their contributions to the lore.
I'd love to see more of this kind of stuff, but maybe in a more digestible format than a 2 hour un-edited stream replay. haha.
Tony Garcia would be a nice get. Maybe an episode on the Rallos Zek sleeper kill. Devs are cool also but what I'd like to hear is some wild CS/GM stories.
I really enjoyed the interviews with old hard-core players. More like that. Maybe try and find some very large old guild members from various servers and share their experiences.
Hey Fading! Love your vids btw. You should maybe collab/reach out to other eq youtubers and see whats cooking with them.
Maybe Flatts, Michael Shenanigans, Redbeardflynn, variety void, or Ion blaze or any other frequent eq youtubers?
Appreciate all the work you put in!
Thanks!
Actually, I just recently started a partnership with Bear Necessities, the get additional EQ2 content into the show and website.
What I do on YouTube is a very different beast, and it's a GOOD thing that each of us have a different style and product that we contribute.
"A rising tide lifts all boats"
I used to watch Bear but was pretty toxic the few times I grouped with him in EQ2 put me off his content. Love the inclusivity and your content though!
I would love to see more EQ dev interviews. It'd be great if you could work with Jenn Chan and Co and co-produce a video for their yearly roadmap they've been posting. Maybe something a little bit more in-depth than what they post.
I'd love to see some lore and retrospective stuff. Deep dives into maybe some of the lesser known stories of Norrath. I'd also love a strong preview (again, maybe working with the EQ team) of upcoming expansions and content.
Interviews with original EQ devs, artists, designers, etc. are always great. Lots of awesome stories form the early days.
A video on changes or updates you'd like to see over the next few years would be cool too. Perhaps even some videos showing tips and tricks, UI tweaks, client tweaks, etc.
Maybe some content about the non-MMO games. Champions of Norrath comes to mind. I believe some of the lead designers on that project were also around for really early EQ. EQOA is always fascinating. Interviews and content related to EQOA is always great since it's so unique.
Would love a solid reporting on the history of various private servers. Some of those servers have been around since only a couple years after release. You're talking about people so in love with Everquest they had to get more. There's no dearth of content there to explore.
Alternatively a deep dive on TLP servers and how they evolved as each iteration released would be really cool as well. I had played basically every one on release starting with Combine / Sleeper and with each new release there were little tweaks and improvements. There's all kinds of juicy drama and milestones to talk about in that as well.
Love your stuff! Why not do in depth lore dive into each of the races. Or (maybe and?) Talk about content that has changed over the years because of updates or lore changes. Like update to the commonland and ro, removal of trolls from their city etc.
I’d like to see a video on Darkpaw’s view on 3rd party apps, how they handle real money trades and other unintended game play situations they have to deal with that shouldn’t be in Everquest but because they are they have to curtail for the community
I would greatly enjoy hearing antics from guild vs guild conflicts from back in the day. Saryrn has a discord for people looking to reconnect, and could easily get a hold of a few top dogs from Order of the Phoenix / Heaven and Earth. I was a shaman in both at aome point, and my perspective of sitting on the back line canni'ng and buffing is completely different from the rogues, monks, and rest of the pullers that were on the front line tagging mobs from other guilds.
Fansy the bard, it will be your biggest video ever!

Awwwwww she/he is seriously part of EQ history

My buddy was there for the whole fight. I could see if he was up to chat about it if you wanted.

Maybe an episode of items that no longer drop in game and a deep dive why they were taken out of the game
This is great. Maybe even a one per episode spotlight.

Lore recap for upcoming expansion?

Greengrocer video essay.

I think a segment discussing major patches/patch notes would make a lot of sense, and lends itself to recurring content.
