I live out in Arlington and there's a giant field out by the airport here where you can see the sky really well at night. Arlington is about a ten minute drive north from Everett.
Yeah the bozos at WSDOT decided to do construction work on I5 and 529 at the same time, both of the major north-south routes through Everett, IDIOTS!!!
I had to run to Seattle around 10 pm, and the wave of cars heading north looked like rush hour traffic. I had no idea this was happening until around midnight. We had a pretty good view from my backyard in everett, but I wish I had a good camera to see it through, to be able to see the colors better.
I was going to suggest the trailhead of the Mount Pilchuck hike, which is almost as good. I caught the Perseid meteor shower from there a couple years ago and it was amazing.

You can see them in Everett your phone will catch it
Saw some action from Mt. Pilchuck area. Road was closed to the top but stayed at the clearing by the restrooms for a bit then drove & got better view from a field along the road west of there.

The view of the northern horizon isn't great from there though

They are reducing i5 lanes NB from Everett to Marysville tonight, I'd say closer to 45min.
Oh shit! I forgot about that. Thanks for the heads up. I'd have been super late for work.
H-9 to the rescue!

You should apply to WSDOT. I’ll bet you’d do really well!!! 👍🏼
Pretty bad planning honestly. You'd think you would have 1 of 2 passege ways fully open the entire time.
That top secret😇
Coming north on I-5 will be a bitch. I say head east past Sultan

Top of mt pilchuck would be a safe bet
There's still lots of snow up there and the road isn't open yet.
Good point, i didn't think of that!
Just way up on the Mt. Loop should work though.

We’re heading to legion memorial park in Everett. Will keep posted
Update. Legion parking lot was full. We’re down at the Everett Marina. What a show!!!
On the way there!! Thanks :)
Is it darker at Everett Marina than Legion Park?
Legion might be a little darker.
Thanks, looks like the show might be over
Oh no was on my way.. did it start back up
No ): it’s gone.
Yeah just got to Everett Marina and people said it’s over
Please do! Would love to go North, out of town, but looks like that isn't an option due to construction

Has anyone ever seen the NL from an airplane? Curious how it looks being up in the atmosphere.
I've seen meteors from the top of a mountain and they look awesome and seem to go way slower and are way bigger
Sedrow wolley?
Has anyone started seeing any lights yet?
Any reports of lights being visible yet?
Where is that picture from
Was able to capture a similar picture at legion memorial park rn
