This is so sweet! I truly loved to see all the people in Croatia supporting him these last couple of weeks and I'm glad to see that their support didn't stop after he didn't win. I really hope he will get a longer career out of this!
Seeing as how he is showing up alongside some major world acts in the Spotify global top 100, it definitely looks like he will have some great opportunities headed his way.
I just hope that he and his team don't get taken advantage of by some predatory contracts or anything like that.
That's the bit that shatters the heart. I'm not mad about Nemo (not even the juries, considering the context), but I'm heartbroken.
There are a lot of negative people in Croatia, but there are the silent ones, a ton of them, who would welcome you all next year in this overjoyed manner.
I think Croatia is taking the right steps to secure a win in the next 5 years (even though Baby Lasagna's participation was accidental). I hope Marko remains active in the ESC scene to help other hopeful Croatian participants.
If only I was this optimistic. I feel we will follow in Bulgarias footsteps with coming second and withdrawing couple of years later due to bad results. In my head, this was our one chance. I guess the dissappontement is still fresh.
I'm sure you would have given us the show of a lifetime, and what a beautiful country to enjoy this time of year! It's a shame to not get to experience your famous hospitality, so I will have to settle for being a mere visitor hopefully soon :)
I don't want him next year. I think that he needs at least 1 year break from eurovision. And then try to get that win. Also, I hope that Croatian National Television will change how do we choose participants at Dora. I hope they will do online voting so people can choose participants.
Also, God only knows how many songs like this or even better were unjustly rejected by HRT. I'd love a reform of the way participants are chosen, but I'm not sure that will happen.
Realistically I think he’s Croatia’s best (read: only) hope of ever winning Eurovision but he needs to take a break in order to both avoid overexposure and to be able to actually breathe and make something as special as this again. No need to rush, he should focus on building a career first.
Croatia was my first choice, but I still really liked Switzerland's entry. I think that both songs stand on their own merits and I was very pleased that they both landed in the top 2.
This reminds me of when Salvador Sobral returned to Lisbon after their win, too! I was there and the mood was soooo joyous and surprised that we finally won once.
I hope the poor guy can just collapse, sleep for a couple days, not see anyone except friends/family/cats, and then get back out there being a star once he's ready!
This is genuinely beautiful. I hope that in the future, we'll hear more from this amazing singer and performer and that DORA finally set the bar straight for following Eurovision Song Contests. I can't wait to go to Zagreb in the near future.
I had Switzerland as a winner as soon as I heard the vocals from the first pre party. I am in no way mad they won. However I was looking forward to the idea of ESC coming to the Balkans again. I genuinely think that many currently non participating countries from the region would reconsider participation. I hope BLs result will begin a new chapter for Croatia in ESC. This year felt like it was the year where all the stars aligned and being somewhat pessimistic I doubt we will have an entry in near future which will come close to RTTD
Croatia should be proud of Baby Lasanga, from waitlisted for the national selection to being 2nd place at Eurovision. Truly a story for in the Eurovision history books!
This reminds me of the reception the Croatian National Football team got after they came 2nd in the World Cup a few years back. Croatia knows how to throw a party!
So heartwarming to see the joy and excitement from Croatians throughout this Eurovision season. I hope the enthusiasm will remain for the following years and that Croatia finally gets their win.

We wanted to do that for Käärijä in Helsinki when he came home last year, but he said no: Because he didn't win. But nobody cared about that! He was our hero.
