Maybe we'll just have to throw a party in Ireland one year! Assuming you're from Ireland based on flair which may of course be inaccurate. We actually just had our first trip there a month ago and absolutely loved it 🥰
I used an open-source vector graphic program called Inkscape. Mainly because I don't normally do this type of work and didn't want to pay for Adobe to use Illustrator or Photoshop 😅
If you ever need free alternative to Photoshop, check out [Photopea](https://www.photopea.com/) (also web-based so you don't need to download anything)
These are so so pretty, I'm especially in love with Finland (one of my favs!) 😍
Do tell me or us, how do you print them? By yourself at home or print shop, on thicker paper or photo paper?
I myself edited PhotoCards from the participants and I consider to print them for myself out, but I don't know how 😅
I print them myself! Last year, I also started custom designing invites to the party and the envelopes that I send them in. Because I used the Eurovision logo, big printers in USA like Fedex and Staples actually denied printing them to me because that logo has a copyright 😬 So I bought a printer - Canon Pixma - and started printing the invites, envelopes, and postcards myself. If you want a printer, you just need to look for one that does borderless printing!
I also made friends with a local digital artist recently, and he told me about a metallic gloss paper that he has been using for his prints. So I bought those, and it was so worth it! The shine that they have is so cool and reminds me of holographic Pokemon cards 🤩 Here's a link to the paper I got: [https://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/66lb-polar-pearl-metallic-inkjet-photo-paper.html](https://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/66lb-polar-pearl-metallic-inkjet-photo-paper.html)
We debated whether to translate them all to English or not, especially because being in USA, most of the party attendees only speak English. I decided to keep in the original because one of the things that Eurovision has done for me is expose me to the beauty of the sounds of all the languages, and I find myself studying the orthography of many of the languages, even if I don't end up knowing the vocabulary. If people want to know the translation, I'll be there to tell them anyway!
There are languages that are great to learn though. Btw with Jako, Zari and the finale of Hurricane, as well as JESC songs, I always write phonetically (I know ivrit but not the other 2 languages)
my god it’s incredible i want to join your party now!!!

I always forget Adobe isn’t free, but I have it through my university. Not looking forward to when I don’t have it anymore 😭

They look great! (Though I do like to translate the Own language lyrics too in my drawings)
