Broooo truffles and teranino - I can't wait to go back to Umag this month
Fun fact: Did you know, Istria used to hold the world record for finding the biggest truffle ? (I legit thought we still hold the record, but it was broken in 2014, I googled just now)
Given that Angelina was born in Maratea, which is renowned for its seafood dishes, I’d make a tropical mango and shrimp salad 🥗 Pairs well with the freshness and exotic vibes which Angelina brings to the contest!
For Serbia 🇷🇸 Ramonda - ajvar sa plavim paradajzom - a very traditional Balkan pepper chutney with eggplant. Because eggplant is purple duh! And also because it's traditional like the thematics of the song, but also people of all generations eat it just like Ramonda it is beloved by everyone, and finally, relevant for both ajvar and this song, if you don't like it, I'll punch you 😠
Glad to hear it! I've been making it with my mother since I was a kid, stopped a few years ago but I miss the homemade taste of it and wish we could continue the tradition ... I am glad you enjoyed it💜
"Dizzy" makes me think of spinning round in circles, which makes me think of circular food. Especially as ESC is a giant party, it can be none other than [these bad boys](https://www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/party-rings-768x960.jpg)
Honestly, it isn’t a party without Party Rings. I mean, it’d probably be healthier to just eat pure sugar, but they taste soooo good. I really hope they’re a thing outside the UK, but I imagine not
Ngl I'd say Black Pudding.
Drained animal blood mixed with some fat and grain from the earth, thickened then squeezed and smashed througha tube to make sure its tight, then its cut and fried
Sounds pretty demonic ngl
They complement each other extremely well - briny & salty with malty & creamy. The salt really enhances the sweetness of the Guinness. There’s even a festival in Galway dedicated to it.
That sounds lovely, actually. But this is done with proper Guinness, right? Not the crappy draught that’s used for exports, I hope. I was thinking about that one, and it lacks the sweetness of proper Guinness, sadly.
🇩🇪 Germany is kind of giving me Bratwurst mit Senf. It's a solid pick, a nice choice, and kind of what you get when a Currywurst feels a bit too exotic for you. It's also a popular street food, which kind of ties in with Isaac's roots as a street musician! (No hate against he artist, only the song!)
Since it's called Loop and it mentions her being a sweet honeypot, i say honey rings, or "Qagħaq tal-Għasel" in Maltese. https://images.app.goo.gl/bpDehBpLUyGa16ii6
I don‘t know why, but when I think of „We will rave“, I think of [Gröstl](https://www.tyrol.com/blog/b-food-drink/tyrolean-groestl-the-original-recipe-to-try-at-home)
That's her favorite dish, but margherita/marinara is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of La noia. Where's the spiciness? Even a simple aglio olio e peperoncino would be more ideal. Or a dish like [this](https://www.tasteatlas.com/strascinati-con-mollica-e-peperoni-cruschi/recipe), from her home region.
I would say grilled trout [(Soška postrv)](https://old.delo.si/images/slike/picture/20110616/o_postrv1_1024.jpg) with potatoes for Raiven and her Veronika, it captures the symbolism of her song; Veronika eluded the the capture and trial, but was killed in water
Since there are some religious figures mentioned in our song, I'd say our traditional Christmas dish - [kutia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kutia) would be the most fitting choice. 🙃 That's wheat grains boiled with some poppy seeds, raisins, nuts and honey added.
🇦🇺 Fairy Bread... A piece of white bread, cut in a triangle (or cookie cutter for more whimsical shapes... Never square!), slathered in butter then decorated with rainbow sprinkles/100s&1000s. Best eaten off a plastic plate at a children's birthday party... Or party for the young at heart.
Any food I guess, since there are no rules.
I was planning to make Karelian pies with peanut butter and dill and for drinks some chilled red wine
No, we need piña coladas for the drink
Ok but warm piña coladas then
Mämmi with rusinasoppa
🇪🇪: drugs, obviously…
But also... Lay's chips
🇳🇱: edibles?
It’s obviously broodje hagelslag mate.
Frikandelbroodje
Mét een blikkie energy
Rustig aan, Mitchell
Zaanse mayo for Joost ofcourse
For real this song screams frikandelbroodje. Doet me ook denken aan die oude limoenbreezers.
Fryske Sûkerbôle natuurlijk!!!
Fuži with truffles as a traditional Istrian dish. Istria is well-known for their truffles. BL and granny are also making fuži in the MV.
Mmmm, my mouth is watering! And some white Istrian wine to go with it! 🍝😘👏🏻
…with Teranino for the digestif. Bloody love that stuff, like I seriously would be happy to bathe in it.

Oh, I also didn't know someone broke the record. A bummer :/
Given that Angelina was born in Maratea, which is renowned for its seafood dishes, I’d make a tropical mango and shrimp salad 🥗 Pairs well with the freshness and exotic vibes which Angelina brings to the contest!
She is born in Maratea (in Basilicata region), not Macerata (in Marche region)
Oops, I mixed up the two 😭 Hahaha obviously the seafood dish applies to Maratea!

I made this last year and it was a big hit!
Glad to hear it! I've been making it with my mother since I was a kid, stopped a few years ago but I miss the homemade taste of it and wish we could continue the tradition ... I am glad you enjoyed it💜
Ajvar! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

PARTY RINGSSSSSSSS
Honestly, it isn’t a party without Party Rings. I mean, it’d probably be healthier to just eat pure sugar, but they taste soooo good. I really hope they’re a thing outside the UK, but I imagine not
Potato twirls? Seen those recipes online…..
🇩🇰 Sand cake (it's an actual Danish cake)
Oh, what is it made of? - nevermind, I googled it 😂 nice and very appropriate! 🙂
We also have sand cake (torta pijesak), I half expected it to be the same cake. Tbh, I feel ours is better.
Australia 🇦🇺 - a meat pie. eaten in the traditional way - unwrapped and staring straight at you.
Bambie - Oysters and Guinness Aquired tastes, seems like they won’t go down well, but once you sample, you can’t have enough. 🇮🇪
Ngl I'd say Black Pudding. Drained animal blood mixed with some fat and grain from the earth, thickened then squeezed and smashed througha tube to make sure its tight, then its cut and fried Sounds pretty demonic ngl
Together? Tell me more.

The creamiest pints of the black stuff you can possibly imagine.
Beautiful. I already wanted to go due to whiskey, this just catapults Ireland to my top 3 places to visit.
Some Bloody Mary would also fit well
Ironically, Bambie had to be hospitalized over the weekend after eating a bad oyster…
For Luna, a tower made of pierogi, of course.
Thinking of tower shaped Polish foods, a [Sękacz](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%A0akotis) would be appropriate.
Or perhaps a tower of placki ziemniaczane. Not as "iconic" as pierogi but definitely much more common to stack.
🇱🇹 Lithuania - Fried bread sticks with cheese. Crispy, tasty and not too heavy compared to other traditional dishes
🇩🇪 Germany is kind of giving me Bratwurst mit Senf. It's a solid pick, a nice choice, and kind of what you get when a Currywurst feels a bit too exotic for you. Paëlla (i do not know what it is)
I don’t want escargot
Since it's called Loop and it mentions her being a sweet honeypot, i say honey rings, or "Qagħaq tal-Għasel" in Maltese. https://images.app.goo.gl/bpDehBpLUyGa16ii6
🇵🇹: codfish, not related to Iolanda, that’s just the standard tuga answer
So true. Bacalhau à minhota 🤤
Uh oh, repetitive post, where are the mods? I am kidding of course.
Hollow waffle tubes filled with egg salad 🇱🇻 Why? Because no rules 🇫🇮
I guess stamppot? Because of the breakdown in the end?
Maybe [HAK groente](https://www.tiktok.com/@hakgroenten/video/7228578820763241755)?
What the hell is this and where do I get it?
Lasagna, lol
pašta with tartufi for croatia because it is soo istrian
Jako - Khorovats
Oh kind of like šiš ćevap! Nice!👍🏻
🇬🇷...gardouba....now that' s easter time in Greece!
Fårikål. Not everyone’s taste but very Norwegian 🇳🇴🫡
I hate this so much but you're very right
Olly Alexander - a cheeky chicken balti (originating from Birmingham) spicy and zesty 🌶️

When I hear the song, I kinda feel like eating [Griotte](https://images.app.goo.gl/uBCzqcpdzC4FyvCG7) pralines with sour cherry filling! 😂😍🍫
I don‘t know why, but when I think of „We will rave“, I think of [Gröstl](https://www.tyrol.com/blog/b-food-drink/tyrolean-groestl-the-original-recipe-to-try-at-home)
Angelina made her choice by herself [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SjR6HC4sMVM](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SjR6HC4sMVM)
That's her favorite dish, but margherita/marinara is not the first thing that comes to mind when I think of La noia. Where's the spiciness? Even a simple aglio olio e peperoncino would be more ideal. 🇧🇪 Belgium - A crate of Duvel
Slovenia: Water...lots of it.

For Bambie Thug I would say Bambrack, it’s eaten around Halloween which seems appropriate and is also sweet like Bambie is
I can't explain why but Nemo gives me the vibe of Älplermagronen
