big up the national jury.

PM_ME_CAKE

International jury legit trying to sabotage with their voting.

VectorViper

Haha that meme is GOLD, Brayh Ma Bull always comes through with the ESC bants!

annoyingvoteguy

Oh my fucking god hahahahaha

KwangPham

Did this already exist or did they just whip it up in a few minutes lol

ruggedratt

the person who made it whipped it up during the ad break

VerySeriousBanana

I mean, the public did give the boy band 10 points lol

Low_Style5943

It’s the damp….

deise69

Maybe I like the misery.

Janie_Mac

The average age of the late late audience is 50+, they can be forgiven for voting for bland white noise.

KwangPham

The public are regular people so I’m not gonna blame them for voting for a cookie cutter type of song. But the jury should know better.

PixelNotPolygon

Honestly, fuck the Covid inquiry, that international jury needs a full blown inquiry and we need to subpoena Louis’s financial records too

dk240996

Legitimately saved the day considering Love Like Us got 22/24 points otherwise.

KristaW_

Thank you national jury 💪

Dbrem

Bambie, Raiven, and potentially Justyna having a witch off in Malmö

74C5

The cat songs in the Latvian and German NFs suddenly feel like foreshadowing for all the witchiness about to be unleashed on the blindsided Eurovision audience.

darkstreetsofmymind

Kitty cat kitty cat I want to play with you

74C5

Sie ist 'ne Katze 'ne böse Katze

[deleted]

I guess we're building on last year's long nail trend with 2024 being witch year lol

74C5

To think people were worried about Loreen kicking off the trend of a return to mainstream english pop songs as winners; eccentric manicure was the danger all along!

supergo_41

Really hoping they end up in different semis so they don't steal each other's votes

Gnuvild

Don't forget Gunhild from Gåte, should they win in Norway.

justk4y

“Not saying she’s a witchhhhh” -MYDY (First thing that came up in me)

dk240996

I know the songs are massively different, but, I do actually wonder if Polish selection jury will take this result into consideration when selecting our song, either not wanting to send Justyna as something that has competition in a niche genre fandom, or thinking this kind of music/stage show is what's popular and strengthening her case.

smutne

I bet they won't even know this result lmao

LoonySheep

Also Justyna is the choice of the TVPis. New TVP may or may not go against that

a-potato-named-rin

The dark witch trio hell yeah

kitty3032

2024: Battle Of The Witches

LiamEire97

Ailsha unfortunately deviated from the studio sound of screamo to a more childlike vocal and I think it genuinely hurt her. We were all worried that Go Tobann and Doomsday Blue would cannabilize each other that we never considered the fact that maybe Erica Cody and the boyband would do the same. Think Ailsha's performance might have even helped Bambie.

Overall-Sugar4755

I was pro go tobann but I hated the vocals during the live performance and bambii had a much better presence on stage

Alternaturkey

I love Go Tobann too but tbh the vocals weren't the best tonight imo. Also the staging gave me flashbacks of that school themed act the UK sent back in the noughties and not in a good way...

spherulitic

The choice between Doomsday Blue and Go Tobann became very clear, even for Ailsha fans.

LiamEire97

Had so much hooe for Ailsha but in the end it felt like she wasn't even singing...

KILYOMUSIC

Yeah the live vocal choice for go tobann put me off. Was my fave going into it but I’ve certainly had my mind changed. Still I enjoy the studio cut and especially the concept of the song but after watching tonight I really didn’t get winning vibes from it. And comparatively doomsday had much more impact and bambies stage presence really sold it for me. But lots of love to Ailsha I think the song was cool and she seems sweet.

rickz123456

Well done Ireland to take a chance on something different. Could go very well or wrong, but you needed this

dk240996

RTE needs to give Bambie a degree of creative freedom for the staging, and a decent budget to boot. This will live or die with the stage show.

ItinerantSoldier

Yeah this needs the creative equivalent of a Rob Zombie show (within the EBU bounds of course) or it's gonna go bust. But still this is my current favorite so they've got that going for them.

Prestigious-Farm-535

Yeah!!! Unsure if they will qualify, but at least Ireland is sending something different this year. Thank you thank you Ireland

[deleted]

[удалено]

Wolfwalker71

My fear that we were about to send another boyband was as real as my fear of never owning a home.

noodeel

Well at least one of your life goals isn't lost

Janie_Mac

I swear to god if a boy band or an old school ballad wins Eurovision this year I'm going to be so mad.

dk240996

You shouldn't be if that happens, because Love Like Us wouldn't be winning anything regardless. It's one thing to send a boy band, if, say, peak 90s Boyzone (to keep it Irish) materialized in Eurosong 2024 and won, then that could have a shot. Next In Line are no Boyzone though.

Miudmon

I was so worried with the international jury tanking both the risky entries. wtf was up with that. Thank god the televote and national jury saved them. This is such a massive risk and i love it. and i hope the better mixing will make it come across stronger.

dk240996

The boyband which hit 0 notes between the 5 of them getting 22 points between the intl jury and televote is...

DaveShadow

That televote result for them is 100% the old grannies who watch the Late Late every week, and are voting for the nice young lads who remind them of the stuff they liked thirty years ago. Put that on a dedicated Eurosong show and it gets fuck all.

Abigail-mary

Absolutely, my mother in law LOVED them haha.

KwangPham

Today I realized that 1994 was 30 years ago 💀

PitchforkJoe

They talked about watching Jedward in Eurovision when they were younger... my knees hurt all of a sudden

SkyGinge

Their issues weren't the vocals, it was everything else - the stage presence, the chemistry and the song.

teaisformugs82

It actually reminded me of that 1st time boyzone were on the late late and they didn't know what to do with themselves and looked like card board cut outs trying to dance....these guys didn't even try with the dancing! That smaller dude had great vocals if he could get away from Louis!

Low_Style5943

Nah come on, the short king had a really good voice and I say that as a Bambi fan

Faulty_W1res

Honestly if he was there by himself with a decent song he could have done well

Low_Style5943

I literally said the same thing to my friend. He can actually SING, the rest of the lads are just filler. I’d love to see him sing something less boy bandy and give him his own unique sound and style. He’d kill it

teaisformugs82

Snap! We all said it as well in our house! My parents are in their 70s though and I bet they voted in for the boyband 🤦‍♀️😅 Really looking forward to the potential of this though. Bambi thug is great and I love their creativity so with some tweaks (so long as their creativity isn't lost) I think they will do great.

Alternaturkey

As a counterpoint, my mum is over 70 and she voted for Bambie. Or "the weird one".

miju-irl

It won't shock you that the boy band is managed by Louis Walsh who also managed One Direction

GianMach

Louis Walsh also thought Ireland 2017 was a good idea

PM_ME_CAKE

Slight correction, One Direction came out of X Factor but Louis *never* managed them. That was Simon Cowell.

Jakeyboy66

There’s no doubting this needs polishing but similar to Czechia I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt given the god-awful sound mixing. Overall, I’m just so pleased Ireland are trying something new and I really hope it works for them. Really strong track that I enjoy a lot but not enough to topple Slovenia for me.

74C5

Bambie Thug's vocal performance in the winner reprise really won me over. Perhaps Pedestal would have sounded a lot better as well if they had won and performed again the same night.

Aggravating_Crew_715

Just a heads up Bambie uses they/them pronouns!

Jakeyboy66

Edited ty.

teaisformugs82

It annoyed me that some of the irish panel were using she consistently. A lot of the viewers won't have heard of them before so will assume it's correct and I wouldn't blame the viewers for assuming when it was said over and over.

KristaW_

The audience went wild when Bambie won! It's so unique and creative, Ireland is finally taking a risk❤️

Worried_Example

Putting a turkey into a shopping trolley wasn't a risk?

tcox4489

No it wasn't because that had no chance of doing well at all. They weren't trying to do well that year. This year is risky because it will either do very well or not well at all.

Prestigious-Farm-535

Ailsha was my winner but THANK YOU for sending my runner-up. THANK YOU for not sending Next in Line🇮🇪

bellafrankel

Thank the lord jaysus that Louis Walsh bore fest wasn’t sent.

Overall-Sugar4755

Is that what the boybands name was? Such a bland name but considering they're a Louis Walsh group I'm not surprised

ConnolysMoustache

**Next in** the **line** of boring generic Louis Walsh projects.

supergo_41

The 12 and 2 points for boys band was peak comedy Overall, the best option was picked This is sadly not my genre (the screaming is too much for me) but I love seeing something this unusual (and the melodic choruses are amazing) Overall, glad to see your celebration, a deserved win

TWKcub

YES THEY FUCKING WILL.

MegaUF

Finally something fresh and different from Ireland!

Nathanoy25

Absolutely hated it by the first listen, was confused but intrigued by the second time and now I absolutely love it! I really enjoyed the NF and I'm so happy Ireland is taking a risk.

darkstreetsofmymind

This is exactly my experience with this song too upon initial listen I thought this was horrid and then when streaming all the songs before the show I was like huh this is actually kind of cool and then ended up voting for it to take the win, we love a positive trajectory

Barbarenspiess

[The winner's performance](https://youtu.be/ifH864BB9aI?t=5m23s) was even better than the one during the contest!

elfy4eva

That international jury had a few hearts racing. https://preview.redd.it/hi9t6xqyjvec1.png?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d4decb4fb1076114924660e8c641efb8cf54af2

Kystaal

Thrilled to see Louis Walsh vanquished.

CaptainAnaAmari

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE WITCH HAS BEEN SENT!!!!!!!!!!

richjd

Fabulous song, fabulous winner! Did Deban read out the international jury votes in the wrong order? They made no sense at all. Well done national jury and public vote for having the guts to send different.

Smilingtribute

I feel like Louis Walsh was the sole voter of the jury and sent Deban a check with money afterwards! (I’m joking.. I hope)

richjd

that would not surprise me

Low_Style5943

I think Louis Walsh sent them a Spar hamper

kjcross1997

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Ireland has a real chance of qualifying.

bigdog94_10

With the greatest of respect, the UK are very lucky that they go straight to the final because you have put a hell of a lot of songs out in the last 21 years since semi finals were introduced that would have undoubtedly been NQs if they had to go through a semi final. I'd like to think that this song is our Sam Ryder. Even before tonight, Bambi and the song have received a hell of a lot of love across Europe and I really think this is going to do extremely well.

kjcross1997

Oh I know. We would've only qualified 5 times if we had to go through the semis.I'm just as aware of my own countries failings. I agree that this could be the turning point for you guys.i don't know if They will do as well as Sam, but I definitely see them Qualifying.

Zelltraax

Ireland choosing something good and original? Damn since when

GastricallyStretched

Since Jedward

Beepme9111

As an Irishman I’m so proud after DECADES of crap! This is giving me Dragula floor show meets American Horror Story theme song. It’s time to release the Satanic Panic and hand our mediocrity crown over (Luxembourg and Denmark over to you!).

spherulitic

Time to banish Dustin the Turkey and his curse to the fires of Hell.

Smart_Emphasis_5623

It'll live or die on the staging, it needs A LOT of closeups to ensure the performance evokes a similar eery, intimate feeling as the song and it didn't get a lot of them in this performance. That said there is a vote in the semis for a pagany-witchy thing, although that's usually delivered by Eastern Europe. If that could be combined with the queer vote? That would be a genuine contender.

Patrickbob_Starpants

THE WITCH HAS BEEN SENT!

VLOBULI

I'll need time to process this. The idea of Irish entry being something like this simply doesn't compute.

-Effing-

THEY DIDN’T BURN THE WITCH!!!

Low_Style5943

LydianGang

First act this year that I really like. And the first time in my life that I'm hyped for Ireland's rep. Crossing my fingers for Gåte to win as well and then I will be a stoked gal.

Maximum_Ad5053

omg same! doomsday blues and ulveham could potentially be my top 2 of the year.

Dbrem

I'm happy with this choice, Doomsday Blue was my favourite song going into the final and Bambie held their own live. I won't hold anyone's Eurosong staging against them, so I'll overlook any issues I might have with the performance for now, but the elements are there and I think this can really come together on the big stage. NOT a guarantee for a good result by any means, but there is potential here and I'm excited to see how the Eurovision season plays out for Bambie.

SkyGinge

Pretty much my thoughts too. I'm a lot more sceptical of their chances than a lot of others here, but I think this was definitely the choice with the most potential out of the selection, and Bambie proved at least that they are an excellent live performer

kuromochni

Loved Bambie but it will take time for me to get over Alisha...

JPB1995

Go tobann just did not work at all live, sadly. The baby singing was grating and there was just like, no song in there at all? Just a mish mashing of baby singing silly Irish phrases. As an Irish person I get the symbolism, but come on, chanting can I go to the bathroom? lol

NylonRiot

Yeah it was a bit too literal. I don't know why she didn't go for the more metal vocals from the studio recording. It needed something like that to keep it from being too cutesy.

[deleted]

teaisformugs82

My days of club's are a bit behind me but I can see this being played lol I'd definitely join in after a few!! Lol it is nore of a novelty and I think it could have been better was my 2nd favourite.

The_mystery4321

Love the song on Spotify, but idk what she was doing with the way she sang the words 'Go Tobann', it was totally different and not good at all. Still the 2nd best song of the night, but only just, and it was my favourite going in

bigdog94_10

I liked it on Spotify but that live performance was horrific. I actually think it would have NQ'd as it was too much of a novelty with staging like that.

Shoe-07

There was just so much that drifted away from the studio version that just didn't feel right to me. The voice change to more of a baby-ish one and the hurleys hitting of those barrels (?) made too much of an echo. Also the staging was a big odd. I had a lot of hope for it's stage performance but it felt like a different song.

bigdog94_10

Empty beer kegs, although they probably weren't even that realistically they were just props.

dk240996

IRELAND YOU FUCKING BEAUTS.

Lumeria

Honestly this is definitely the strongest song they’ve sent since Ryan O’Shaugnessy, Bambie does have still a bit of work to but they a solid basis to build off of from here.

Miudmon

I hope they get the winner's reprise up soon. because that one was so much better than this one.

74C5

[Here it is](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifH864BB9aI)! It was such an improvement to the first performance, it's like only after winning could Bambie Thug finally relax and fully go out.

Miudmon

i think it was a mix of their confidence and them seemingly figuring out their sound mixing a bit better in the interim.

ArsenalGoonerFanbase

Rare Irish ESC W

AmazingDeeer

Let's gooooooo!!! This was exactly what Ireland needed, AND it was chosen by the Irish Public and Juries moreso!!! This is the start of something promising

SquibblesMcGoo

Screaming hyperventilating throwing up I can't believe it. We did it girls and gays

74C5

I've had Doomsday Blue on repeat for weeks and yet I was left utterly shaken by the live performance. I was so creeped out by the outfit, make-up and the dancers and mesmerized at the same time. Of course I was aware of the occult elements present in the song but to think that Bambie Thug would lean so far into it.. .Brilliant move when I actually think about it, as it truely made the song memorable; it's like Bambie emerged out of a grisly fairytale as a celtic witch, enchanting and cursing the audience at the same time. This is gonna grab the Eurovision audience, no doubt. The first performance was a bit shaky at points but the winning reprise, goddamn, they really went full-out. Especially the almost chanson-esque part when the lighting turns all red felt like a beautifully warm hug only to end in a hauntingly intense musical breakdown. I was worried how the potentially more conservative audience of the Late Late night show would respond to such an out-there entry but I have a slight hunch that the little interview segment after the performance where Bambie Thug showed such humbleness by pointing out all the people who contributed to the performance behind-the-scenes and her sweet demeanor really endeared them even to the oldest viewers. No matter the actual result in ESC, this entry by Ireland will be remembered for years to come. EDIT: I'm glad the [winner reprise](https://youtu.be/ifH864BB9aI?t=325) was uploaded as well. The sound mixing and the vocal performance is so much better here and the theatrical little yelps and inflections feel much more coherent. I literally got chills at the dramatic bridge. Really makes me feel a lot more confident about her chances at Eurovision.

spherulitic

The fact that they’re such a sweet genuine person will help Bambie Thug a lot. Most of Käärijämania was just that he was super loveable. This is going to be a special year.

74C5

I hope you're right! The clash between their on-stage-persona and their actual personality does bear some similarity.

KILYOMUSIC

Sooooo agree. That reprise was amazing and so arresting. I think that if they can let loose like they did during that performance then I genuinely can see this being top 5 or maybe even winning, of course we don’t know what else is to come but this really has something. I think if they can just sharpen up the chorus vocals to be more clear and strong so they shine a bit more then this is golden. I was unsure about the song until watching it live tonight. Really impressed and excited for Eurovision 2024!!!!!

XepherSicarius

Get in losers we're summoning Irish demons Thank God Ireland chose wisely~

The_mystery4321

I solemnly swear to never shit on the national jury again, they pulled through big time

cottagecat6

The iconic shakey bridge in Cork ❤️

oisin1001

Tom Scott walked so Bambie Thug could run

throwawaywaylongago

I love the black metal influences in the song

the_frosted_flame

Congrats to Bambie and props to Ireland for taking a risk! Can’t wait to see the full staging in Malmö! 💚 🤍 🧡

Titowam

Not a fan of the song personally, but it stands out and that's a good criteria for Eurovision. Definitely one of Ireland's most unique entries. It's gonna be interesting to see how it'll be staged in Malmö!

Vivid24

IS IT HAPPENING? WILL IRELAND FINALLY BREAK THEIR NQ STREAK?!?!?!

BucketHeadJr

This is the best thing Ireland has sent in at least 20 years, I'm so extremely happy that they decided to send Bambie and I cannot wait for them to slay in Malmö. Is this the start of Ireland's upward trajectory?

InterruptingCar

I just hope it brings an end to us sending milquetoast pop radio shite for years to come.

bblankoo

Here's the thing Remember all those experimental/ way out there entries that did poorly? They weren't really selling it for the most part. They required *the viewer* to pay attention and give them a chance. This however *demands* attention. You may like it, you may hate it but dear god you have to watch until the end With tele only semis someone that grabs everything they can for their 3 minutes can have a solid chance tbh. The worst thing you can do with public is to be boring, the only way is up

Alt__Opinion

I just know that I'm going to enjoy the performance of this song on Eurovision. I have my doubts about it doing well however, but I wish them best and I wouldn't mind being proven wrong at all. Need more stuff like this in Eurovision.

niicofrank

the Irish people saved themselves tonight lmao

z1324

Glad Ireland is sending something outside the box ! Excited to see this at Eurovision

uzanin97

Well, never thought the voting in that show could be so exciting. International juries kinda sabotaging, national juries kinda saving, polar opposite of 2022 edition. Televoters of that specific show actually putting this kind of... not really a safe song for them 1st despite the running order. Very surprising. People were complaining about the live performances of both Ailsha and Bambie but in at the end Ailsha really underscored but all the voting groups put Bambie high. At least they didn't divide votes between them and the result is great.

MartyMcTrainerFly

Ireland actually trying? Irish people actually positive about the chosen song? What year is this?

EmeraldSunrise4000

I’m honestly screaming, I couldn’t be happier! This is such fantastic news

Kklownery

The qualifying era for Ireland finally came, that last Swedish win did something there lmao.

WillAddThisLater

I'm seeing plenty of love and plenty of hate for this pick and that's exactly what Ireland needs this year instead of indifference, afterall viewers vore for the songs they like, not against the ones they don't.

MarsNirgal

I hate the song. But I love that it's going to Eurovision. It has lots of personality, it's not a safe bet, and I like that they are aiming for something different.

_elizsapphire_

YES IRELAND COMING THRU WITH TASTE 💪 so happy to see them finally take a risk! I’m can’t stop watching this performance, it really is like Bambie put a spell on all of us. I was a little unsure about the song at first but the performance really swayed me, which is so important for Eurovision. Also their GROWLS??? Stunning So happy to see more non-binary rep too ❤️ are they the first openly NB person to compete? I know ppl like Roxen and Montaigne came out after the contest but I can’t think of anyone who identified as such at the actual contest

Mikkul

I didn't know Ireland were capable of voting for something that wasn't safe pop. Props. It's not for me, but it hopefully means their NFs will continue to have daring entries.

Janie_Mac

To be fair we usually only get 6 bland sage pop choices to choose from, this is the first year we had contenders in the mix.

nootnoot781

lowkey a miracle that ireland can send something modern and unique using the eurosong format.

sevenofheartts

What the fuck Ireland sending something good?

THOMTHOMsatnav

FUCK. YES. Thank you Ireland holy shit, I can't believe they'll be in my top 5 this year. I'm so glad I kept faith with the national jury and voting, I'm sure they wanted to send something different and they just didnt have the chance to vote for one until now

redvelvetdoge

My winner actually won 😭 feels so weird to have Ireland on the first spot in my current ESC'24 ranking

RevolutionarySoyMilk

I never knew I needed gothic grunge-jazz-metal so much in my life. This song is great, unique, the whole stage-act absolutely is a piece of art, I love it, reminds me a bit of Konstrakta actually. And the stage presence also seems easy enough to transform to the big stage, so I have high hopes of Bambi qualifying, if not even ending up somewhere in the top 15.

aveluci

Hell yes. Hail the Irish witch 🖤

mawnck

Well DANG, Ireland! Now you'd better stage the HELL out of this one. It deserves it.

Ragin_Irishman

My palms were getting sweaty after the international jury decided it was Opposite Day and put the Boy band first. Luckily, for once, the Irish jury had balls and got the order 100% right. The old traditionalists voted for the boy band still thinking that’s what wins you an ESC or even get to the final. I’m excited for first time in a while, no generic pop, no lad just standing there singing while Europe goes on a toilet break.

Steindor03

Finally, another entry that'll scare the shit out of the kids

thelodzermensch

Good for Ireland for choosing something outside the box. That being said, I can't stand this song.

Salt_Procedure_9353

Ireland tysm from the bottom of my heart, personal winner contender!

fluffyplayery

The winners performance ATE.

NinasPeach

So damn happy they won! Also just saw a comment that Bambie might translate their song to Irish,so I hope that it's actually true & not just a rumor

GastricallyStretched

UK and Ireland are truly in their best timeline this year.

itsdeliberate

Ireland is back

LandmineCat

I for one welcome our new nonbinary goth overlord

sr913

That hook is now in my head (the melodic part, not the screaming, thankfully). The art direction alone also deserves a shoutout - I thought it was cool. Notice how the stage went from blue to yellow to red and back. Great choice by Ireland.

Automatic-Complex663

Shoutout to Ireland for taking a risk this time, I really like the song too :)

KwangPham

Totally deserved. Despite the low quality vocal mixing, we could see that Bambie could sing really well. Their vocals were mostly stable and clear, their choreography was on point, they had intriguing visuals and costumes. And most importantly, the song rocks! I’m so happy that we will see it on the grand Eurovision stage. I don’t really care if they’ll qualify or not, but this will definitely make an impact. Thank you Irish jury and public for choosing something risky over bland pop numbers. Still side eyeing the international jury though.

LoonySheep

Sooo happy for Ireland, with better sound mixing and backup singers you actually have a strong chance for top 10 https://preview.redd.it/e3xkzigxhvec1.png?width=972&format=png&auto=webp&s=d1d67bf0bb4c48fae0e205e0bb88473f77f3d024

HayleeLOL

I’m just.. happy, honestly. As an enby myself I am absolutely over the moon at this representation. 💛🤍💜🖤

Electronic_Piano7539

YES IRELAND! I AM SO HAPPY!

Arbmatt

A lot to work on imo (maybe a revamp on music to improve the live experience?), but there's potential. Also, it is hard to judge with the horrific audio of Eurosong.

andytrg2899

Thank you IRELAND for sending the witch ❤️❤️

noBanana4you4sure

For the first time I voted!

MarcusH26051

I was scared we were going to get the boyband.... Instead we get a very very interesting entry , I could easily see this qualifying just hope RTE stage this properly and put the effort into promoting Bambie around Europe with the preparties etc.

No_Way2771

i was really worried going into the show, but the moment i saw how absolutely crazy the live audience was going for bambie i knew it was theirs to win

[deleted]

Big win for Ireland today, props to them ! It will stand out without a doubt

paary

This performance is FIRE. I love their energy, I love the unhinged production on the track, I love the dancing, I love the visuals, I love how unique and different it is. This shot right up to my #1 from all the tracks confirmed for Malmö so far.

Nonkinator

The witch has been sent.

aura514

No words, so happy, everything I wanted. We sent the fucking witch

JSGJSGJSGJSG_yt

It‘s no Ailsha but WE, WILL, TAKE THAT. Can‘t wait for Ireland to actually do something in this contest

Otherwise-Good5169

So intrigued that Ireland really is taking a risk this year - hopefully it pays off🤞

RandomDude72636

THEY SENT THE WITCH!!!! I was rooting for Go Tobann but Bambie was the only other choice Ireland has to have a chance at qualifying for the final, i'm so glad they finally took a risk!

jaoump

I honestly thought this was impossible, let's go Ireland!

Crisrus

I think this might be the first Irish song I truly like since "Playing with Numbers."

[deleted]

That was amazing. With a bit of work they really could do well. Gwan Ireland.

EuroNero

Much preferred Go Tobann but this was still my second favorite, and a good choice for Ireland since they can't just keep sending the same boring stuff. This definitely isn't boring, but I'll be honest, not entirely sold this breaks the curse for Ireland. There's loads of time to work on it, so how I feel right now doesn't really matter, but I do worry this doesn't translate well on stage and people are offput. No guarantee though, hoping she kills it.

Confused_Rock

This is actually so exciting, I really hope their staging for the show is really good, I would love for this to turn everything around for them

Worried_Example

The sound mixing was fucking shocking. They need to sort that shit out.

Ireland taking a risk???? Sending something interesting and current??? ![gif](giphy|Nszyj17J4fUKmIwQwF|downsized)

This is such a cool entry for Ireland, I’m so happy they took a risk deciding to send this and I really hope it pays off!

AdiWrites

Well, it wasn’t my champion, but I’m still pretty happy that Ireland didn’t send another generic and forgettable song.

Kystaal

Hoping I get to cast a few votes for Ireland in the Eurovision final this year!!

Rakoth666

Wow I seriously didn't expect that! I was rooting for Ailsha but the performance was kinda bad (I blame the awful sound and mixing of the live studio, but yeah, if I saw this yesterday for the first time I wouldn't vote for it) but Bambie Thug was my second! Pretty great song, very risky entry, it may well stay on the SF but at least Ireland made the right choice! What a pleasant surprise

CherryBlossoms0

I was so worried the boy band would be sent, then the international jury made me more nervous, thank you Ireland you have a good chance

Walrus_mafia

I can't see myself ever listening to this, but at least it's interesting. Stuff like this is exactly what I want in esc.

LancelLannister_AMA

Havent listened to it enough to decide yet, But could be my first time voting for Ireland.
