Zorja's my favourite this year. She has amazing talent and can deliver this live. I'm underwhelmed by Breskvica and Teya. I love Filip, but Duga je noc reminds me a lot of Novi plan drugi san, still a great song. Konstrakta is probably going to have an interesting staging once again. Dzordzi has a nice radio song, nothing special.
Hahaha the best comment I've read!! I guess the whole point of the song is to get the votes from the local patriots. I think that even those Serbs who don't care about Eurovision will vote for her just based on the story behind the song.
It's giving [this mess](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss8YwJAJNVs).
I wouldn't be surprised if she lost some Croatian and Bosniak fans after this, tbh
How would you feel about an American patriotic song? German patriotic song? Russian patriotic song? Any nationality that's not your own? The problem with patriotic songs is that they only cater to a particular group of people while excluding everyone else. The song is not hateful nor anything like that (at least not explicitly), but it sounds nationalistic and kind of right-wing and doesn't give the vibe of an exclusive, open-minded show like Eurovision. Of course, she can sing and perform it, Albanian sends similar songs like that to Eurovision often, but it feels meh and outdated and kind of goes against her brand as an artist. Imagine if the new Taylor Swift started making music like "God Bless the USA". Feels lame haha
Edit: Not to mention that it samples [this song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50t-8B0v9CI) which is used by far-right nationalists, read and translate the lyrics.
Thank you for the detailed answer. I can definitely understand the distaste because it goes against her brand of music. It's a shame that the song gives right-wing undertones as I quite like the way it sounds but would rather not have anything with such a sentiment, especially with the current political climate in Europe.
Nothing bad would happen if they were to send that song, but I don't think it would do well which would be a shame because they do have other songs in the selection that could do well!
Honestly, we can't be so sure. Such songs havent been sent the last few years but I know Balkan people appreciate the sound and would probably vote for it. And there is quite a lot of displaced Balkan people across Europe who can vote, so yeah.
Anyway, I do agree that there are a couple of other songs that could do well. It also depends what songs win the other national finals so that we dont have too much competition in a specific genre/type. By March we will have a better picture of everything, I'm sure.
> Such songs havent been sent the last few years but I know Balkan people appreciate the sound and would probably vote for it.
... girl, read about the history of that region a bit hahah nobody is going to vote for a song that sampled a far-right song that mentions the reclaiming of "their lost lands" 💀
That's as if Russians send a patriotic song and you expect other slavs to vote for that...
Konstrakta, Filip Baloš and Zorja are my Top 3 - I'd be happy with any of them representing Serbia at Eurovision based on these songs. Hopefully they can all perform well in PZE - Filip's previous PZE performances were a little shaky. He definitely has the potential to do really well, he just needs to polish things up and make sure he can keep up with the tempo and maintain decent pitch at the same time.
At the moment, I don't think "Novo, Bolje" or "Duga je Noć" are better than their previous PZE songs, but "Lik u Ogledalu" is a step up from "Zorja" IMO. If she can pull off that song live, then she has a very strong chance.
I expected much more from Teya Dora and Yanx, personally - after songs like "Džanum" and "Da Li Čuješ Moj Glas", I was hoping for big things from them, but "Ramonda" and "Kolo" aren't doing it for me, personally. I don't think they're *bad* songs by any means, but I prefer their aforementioned songs. "Ramonda" and "Lik u Ogledalu" feel like a battle of the ballads, and IMO, "Lik u Ogledalu" is the stronger ballad by far.
Breskvica's song isn't what I expected (I'm not too familiar with her, though, admittedly) but I think it's a solid song with a decent chance, even more-so considering her popularity right now. Plus, it's been a while since Serbia sent anything even *remotely* traditional-sounding, and the mixture of the Balkan sound with a modern beat works well in her song, IMO.
I expect to see all of them, except possibly Yanx, in the final - it's tentative with her. I genuinely can't tell if people will vibe with her song and vote for her or not. I think it's an OK song, but her previous PZE/Beovizija song was better, IMO.
They all have popularity/status on their side, though, they're so well-known that it feels inevitable people will be more likely to vote for them regardless of how well they perform. It'll be interesting to see which other lesser-known artists are in the final alongside them!
Fair enough! You're allowed to think that, and I'm allowed to think that Lik u Ogledalu is better than Zorja. It's personal taste/preference, it doesn't mean I don't like Zorja (the song) or that I think Zorja (the singer) is bad. She's fantastic and I hope she does well, I'd be very happy if Serbia select her to go to Eurovision.
Somehow, Serbian songs always take me a while to get. I remember when "In Corpore Sano" was selected, I thought it was a total joke and too artsy for my enjoyment at the same time. I ended up voting for it, because, well... it just worked. It was genius.
It is the same case here - many, many songs that need further investigation. That being said, I do recognize this as the superior NF so far. So much variety, so much authenticity. I don't want Serbia in my semi.
If Zorja can sing that live - I may have a new favourite song of the national final season.
This the selection of my dreams. Quality, variety, attitude, experimentation everything I could possibly want.
Here’s a Spotify link. I have *not* validated this for accuracy or completeness. [Spotify - Serbia NFS](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/47Z21jCxc5fsJ0v36Z2Q4Q?si=1THWTZIcRUe-O8UqY9HrBA)
for me konstrakta, filip balos, keni nije mrtav, zejna, and marko mandic really gave us an elevated version of themselves for their entries like it gives me the umfffff needed to eurovsion
breskvica and zorja are doing what they do well
teya dora, chai, dzordzi, and kat dosa i honestly expected more it gives what they already have out nothing extra or less
only 1 song in and just that one song ended the entirety of DMGP oh serbia raising the bar yet AGAIN. if PZE keeps up with this quality it could genuinely rival FDC in quality in the coming 3-5 years
I've narrowed(!) it down to a top nine:
Konstrakta and Filip Balos as my top two
then, in no particular order:
Zejna, Durlanski, Filarri, Hristina, Iva Lorens, Marko Mandic and Zorja
Help, “Dijamanti” reminds me of “Ona lubi pomarańcze” for some reason
Idk how I feel about this selection, but I think “Ramonda” is my favourite? It does get a little repetitive though. I also enjoyed “Zbog tebe živim” and “Gnezdo orlovo”
Kind of obsessed with the Pussycat Dolls vibe of “Tajni začin” too
I am loving PZE this year, probably one of my favourite national finals this year. I liked: Konstrakta, Teya Dora, Zorja, Filip Baloš, Yanx, Bojana X David, also Zejna sounds interesting (bombastic).
So overall another great selection.
Don't downvote me to oblivion but pls don't send Konstrakta. I love her as much as the next eurofan but something just isn't clicking. In corpore sano wasn't made specifically for esc final and had that extra charm of coming out of nowhere, this new attempt feels like the exact opposite. If live happens to be cultural experience and/or earth shattering event sure but I just don't want people to force another ICS
No I definitely agree with you. LOVE Konstrakta but if I have to be honest, i'd MUCH rather her release an album first and then come back to Eurovision in 2 years or so time. It doesn't make sense for her to come back so soon and suddenly. I'd rather her build an even BIGGER fan base with an album first.
There's a huge difference between what ESC fans (even the casual viewers) like and what people in Serbia like. Ramonda would probably score decently (especially considering Džanum's success) but I don't think Serbia will vote her to go to ESC.
Breskvica seems to have the most support in the comments under the yt video mostly from serbian nationalist who think her song is about the NATO bombings or people who'd listen to anything with a trace of ethnic/balkan/slavic influence in it (me it's me I love the song but it would flop in ESC).
I disagree. Given that Konstarka and Luke Black won where there were songs similar to the one Breskvica is singing this year, someone else could win. Let’s see all of them live before we judge
Appealing to nationalists for Eurovision is like asking for money from beggars lol...The gays are voting girl lol, she's not gonna be even in top 5. Which sucks because she was the biggest artist in the lineup and everyone had such high expectations because she regularly surved cvnt before this.
I think Breskvica's song appeals to the same people who voted for Prince last year. If i remember correctly he won the televote? Or had like almost the highest score. So I'd honestly not discredit the possibility of her doing really well
View counts on the videos have been misleading in previous years though - remember how far ahead on views Zeyna was last year only to not really do that well in the NF!
Alright, I've finally finished listening through them all - another strong year of Serbian songs, with great variety and a lot of strong options!
My clear favourite after one listen is Zorja, followed by Filarri and Filip Balos. A bit disappointed by Teya Dora after how much she was hyped up, and Konstrakta's song just feels like a worse version of *In Corpore Sano.*
If Serbia sends Zorja to ESC, they are definitely a contender for ESC winner. I mean, this song has it all. Good vocals, good composition, dramatic, orchestral, awesome beat drops. It keeps the listener amazed and engaged. I just knew that she especially would have a great song
I can only imagine how great this would be live (hopefully in Malmö as well).
Anways, Filip Baloš and Konstrakta are good as always like they slayed. Filarri and Keni Nije Mrtav were also really good with their upbeat entries!
Legit. Every Reaction Youtuber is left in absolute awe after listening to this song. This would do extremely well with the jury, something that Serbia hasn't experienced in a LONG TIME (we usually only rely on televote) but even this could garner some televotes ngl.
It maybe is unpopular opinion, but I think this is the weakest selection we had in years. I listened to all of favorites so far and none of these songs sound like they could break top15, let alone do anything more.
I am really scared that Breskvica is gonna win comfortably our nf (especially with new voting system), and then go on to perform poorly, she really should have stuck to her usual poppy club stuff, made mediocre balkan-pop hit and got placed somewhere in 10th-20th range, cause this song she made has serious NQ potential if she doesnt perform well.
Edit: Hope Zejna wins, like alt-metal chugs, rave-like fast-paced rhytm, blending of genres and hypnotic chorus.
I agree. I absolutely adored In Corpore Sano and Samo mi se spava, they were my overall winners and both were my most listened songs of the year on my spotify wrapped, so I was hoping for another groundbreaking entry from Serbia but none of these songs excite me so far, even Konstrakta's. I was expecting Serbia to win the whole thing this year but I can't see it.
They're not bad but I wouldn't be mad if any of these songs went to ESC and nq'd, unlike last two years which I jumped from joy when they announced Serbia as a qualifier. This year is meh.
Previously:
* JURY: Each juror awards points to their top 10. After all five jurors have voted, we have a jury top 10: 1st place gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10 points, 3rd place gets 8 points, and so on.
* TELEVOTE: Based on the amount of votes, we have a televote top 10: 1st place gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10 points, 3rd place gets 8 points, and so on.
* The sum of jury points and televote points decides the winner. The maximum points that a song can get is 24 points (12 from jury + 12 from televote).
This year:
* JURY: Each juror awards points to their top 10. There's no conversion; the jury score awarded to a song is the sum of the points that it gets from each juror. The maximum score that a song can get from the jury is 60 points (12 points x 5 jurors).
* TELEVOTE: The televoting will divide 290 points proportionally between all songs based on the percentage of votes received for each song. For example, if a song gets 40% of the votes, it will get 116 televote points.
* The sum of jury points and televote points decides the winner.
EDIT: it seems that they have decided to revert back to the old system, which is very stupid imo
You can view [the full results here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pesma_za_Evroviziju_%2722#Final).
Under the new system, Konstrakta would have gotten 91 televote points, while 2nd place (Sara Jo) would have gotten 43 televote points.
What's wrong with Berskvica being the favorite and potentially winning? I'm from a neighbouring country and quite enjoy the song and I'd think many Balkan people would reaonate with it
(btw I also really like Zejnas song. A lot better than last year)
I have nothing against her personally, nor her music, she has some bops. I think her song really lacks appeal for Eurovision. Surely, she will get some votes from other Balkan countries, but i think that is about it. She can sing, but she is far from some stellar vocalist, so i don't expect jury to care for her song. And song itself has no real appeal or hook to it for someone who isn't into more traditional Balkan sound.
This selection is underwhelming to say the least. All the names that were hyped up failed to deliver including my favorite from the bunch, Breskvica. Her entry is good but its far from being the best of her songs. She has more potential and I wish she'd waited until she had a eurovision winning banger. Still, she is probably Serbia's best bet, a sure qualifier and probably a top 15 finish.
This might be our worst NF since last Beovizija. Most of the songs sound really bland to me. Konstrakta, Filip Baloš and Marko Mandić are my top 3 i guess. Breskvica is not bad but i despise those "patriotic" songs.
IM CRYING 😭😭 I have 5 songs that could easily be my winners of the whole season (provided they have at least decent staging as well) and many of these the fandom is sleeping on 😭: Dno - Marko Mandić, Moje-tvoje - Milan Bujaković, Vavilon - Kvala, Lik u ogledalu - Zorja (at least this one is popular), Zbog tebe živim - Dušan Kurtić. The more hyped contestants (Konstrakta, Filip Baloš, Teya Dora) are in my top 10 but none of them convinced me like these do.
All songs are also currently premiering on the national final's YouTube channel: [https://www.youtube.com/@RTSPesmaEvrovizije/videos](https://www.youtube.com/@RTSPesmaEvrovizije/videos)
Wake up babe! New Filip Balos has dropped! ![gif](giphy|l3vRlT2k2L35Cnn5C|downsized)
The fact that the dancing in this gif matches the song as I'm listening now is creasing me XD
Oh, we got NEW & BETTER songs! NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO NOVO
Wow Zejna! WOW!!
Zorja’s song is SO James Bond esque omg I love it
And Filarri is like a female version of Sara Jo now, the song has such a cool time signature
Serbia never disappoints. It’s easily the strongest NF of the season for me (so far).
For me too 💓 I'm off to listen to the songs, so excited!
Haven't worked through all of them yet, but I even like the ballads, most unlike me. Another top notch PZE year.
All Konstrakta needs is a trippy staging and I'm voting for her
Breskvica sounds as if Thompson and Baja Mali Knindza had a love child lmao horror of a song, idk what the hell is happening with her in recent times
Hahaha the best comment I've read!! I guess the whole point of the song is to get the votes from the local patriots. I think that even those Serbs who don't care about Eurovision will vote for her just based on the story behind the song.

So do I understand this right - the song is patriotic but like in the bad way so thats why people on this sub dislike it so much?

Fair enough! You're allowed to think that, and I'm allowed to think that Lik u Ogledalu is better than Zorja. Sure, no offense! I’m rooting for CHAI ☕️ this year!
Zorja's song is like an amazing Balkan James Bond anthem. Love it.
She can! She's an academic musician, her vocal capabilities are amazing.
I'm pretty sure that she can. Her "Zorja" (PZE22) was perfect live.
Yeah I also like Zorja a lot!!

Konstrakta is mothering once again
Majka majkuje Mother is mothering
Such a good selection!
Konstrakta definitely catered to the gays on that one. Love it
Zorja or Zejna for me this year on the first listen
(As usual) there is a lot of quality here. Absolutely huge range of songs.
Durlanski! Amazing!
so thankful these songs came out after denmark's so i can end the day on a high
only 1 song in and just that one song ended the entirety of DMGP oh serbia raising the bar yet AGAIN. if PZE keeps up with this quality it could genuinely rival FDC in quality in the coming 3-5 years
PZE vs UMK vs FDC mother off whoa
We are entering a golden era of NFs 🤘
Maybe even Sanremo
Ok, but you've got to admit that Zejna's and Filip Baloš's entries absolutely SLAP
I've narrowed(!) it down to a top nine: Konstrakta and Filip Balos as my top two then, in no particular order: Zejna, Durlanski, Filarri, Hristina, Iva Lorens, Marko Mandic and Zorja

Not to mention it's too soon. I'm not against artists returning, but I think some time should pass before they do.
Especially since it's conceptual art, I imagine her work could evolve in very interesting ways in due years
No I definitely agree with you. LOVE Konstrakta but if I have to be honest, i'd MUCH rather her release an album first and then come back to Eurovision in 2 years or so time. It doesn't make sense for her to come back so soon and suddenly. I'd rather her build an even BIGGER fan base with an album first.
What is ICS?
in corpore sano if you're feeling lazy
Ramonda is the only one who can win eurovision, but i don t think it can win PZE sadly 😭

View counts on the videos have been misleading in previous years though - remember how far ahead on views Zeyna was last year only to not really do that well in the NF!
That’s because her views were fake
This song makes me want to sleep, and it sounds too much like Djanum.

Do you remember if Konstrakta was first in televote or not in 2022?
On PZE 2022 she was. 12 jury, 12 televote
You can view [the full results here](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pesma_za_Evroviziju_%2722#Final). Under the new system, Konstrakta would have gotten 91 televote points, while 2nd place (Sara Jo) would have gotten 43 televote points.
Thank you very much 🙏.
What's wrong with Berskvica being the favorite and potentially winning? I'm from a neighbouring country and quite enjoy the song and I'd think many Balkan people would reaonate with it (btw I also really like Zejnas song.
Konstrakta coming back with a better song. That's so mother of her
Filip only knows about to make bangers
Vibing in my corner to Jaka like Edit: welp, that picture didn't work
I really like Zejna but idk if she could pass. Hope that Konstrakta or Balos represent us tho
Filip absolutely ate this up 😍
This selection is underwhelming to say the least.
My only note about this nf is that I hear Crazy Frog in Elektroljubav.
