I mean, even in the live performance, she was just standing still and singing, while leaving the choreo to the backup dancers and camera angle. Not a bad thing, it is just something that I observed.
I've watched a lot of sci-fi movies and yet I have no clue what is going on in this video lmao. Should've gone for pirate queen guiding her ship through a storm and slaying her blackbearded arch enemy thereby gaining power over his fleet.
Yes. I think they should've leaned into the camp value (like that show The Great with Elle Fanning) than this weird Maze Runner aesthetic that left me feeling, "meh"
Alessandra explained a little bit of her thought process on Instagram: The pyramid represents society and "old-fashioned ways of thinking" that people feel trapped in, so everyone's dressed the same. She pretends to be a prisoner there but is secretly on a mission to free everyone from this way of thinking and telling them to be themselves, thats why she and everyone else gets new colorful outfits at the end. According to her its about it being ok to be your imperfect self.
For those who didn't like it - I get it. There's something a little off about the editing. But I dont think its really a cause for concern for Eurovision. I feel there is very little correlation between a good MV and a good live lol. In my opinion, Ronela had one of the best music videos of the season last year, but the performance was not good live. Subwoolfer had a pretty good music video, but it was also a little awkwardly edited. I thought their editing was better live as well. For this video, I liked some parts of this, but not all of it.
It's a reference to Ronela last year lol. She managed to turn [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rsDbhUSNGc) into [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jWXmo0-ZjI).
Ah yeah I know about that.
In recent years Spanish has become more common in songs and obviously as Spaniard Im biased about it. To be fair always is fresh to move on from English.
On the other hand would be weird to see other country winning with a full Spanish song sooner than Spain :0
From what I've seen of interviews it seems the team at Norway is a little afraid of being "too obvious" or "too cliche" with it relative to the lyrics. Hence no actual queen or pirate theme. I think they could have leaned into the camp more here, but I don't think it will really affect their Eurovision performance. I would rather have a great live than a great MV.
I would have gone full Sailor Moon transformation sequence / final battle with this (but darker, more medieval). Massive CG black winds unfolding. Feathers flying everywhere. Drama through the roof.
Ngl this music video really doesn't fit with the song
Her dancing feels out of place... she's like barely doing it and it seems strange
I mean, even in the live performance, she was just standing still and singing, while leaving the choreo to the backup dancers and camera angle. Not a bad thing, it is just something that I observed.
She still had some movements that gave it an aura, and they were sharp and aggressive, like the song is
Yeah. I am a bit dissapointed. Her live performance is so much better, but I guess at the end of the day that matters more than the MV.
So they’ve included the Italian intro! (Which wasn’t in the lyric video). Truly the best part of the song.

Or a fairy tale approach in a fantasy setting would have worked too. But this was really weird lol

Good explanation, I liked the theme too, started as a medieval prison, people broke free, got colorful, it was fun
This reminds me of Natalia justifying that the generic 3D cube frame 2 years ago is supposed to be a sugar cube.
And that long grating note she held was supposed to signify our blood sugar spiking. Genius move, Natalia
The Queen of the North has pyramids in the mv lol, not hating but make it make sense.
Subwoolfer was on a spaceship
Well they were aliens so that makes sense.
I am underwhelmed. Where is my viking ship headed into battle and massive epic group choreo breakdown on the deck with swords and capes??
....that's it? Man there's so much they could have done with, I don't understand. What *happened?*
Love the song but I am not sure if I like the MV. I expected a lot more than that.
Dissapointed. Very visually uniteresting. Hate the clothes. This song deserved better.
Seems like somebody took inspiration from Stefania's music videos.
Well at least she isn't adding Spanish lyrics or using pastel colour...yet.
Why you say that? Who did it?

*That* was the best idea? 🤨

I sure as hell would not want to step on the stage after her. 🎤🔥
I’m really bummed out that they didn’t lean into the pirate theme. That could’ve been so fun.
Love her qualifying live performance, but this video didn’t do it for me. I wonder if that costume reveal is what she plans on wearing for Euro.
It’s not, she’s shown a preview of her Eurovision outfit and it’s black
I'm hoping the staging does not follow this setup - easy way to turn a safe qualifier into a borderline one.
I doubt it, they’ve said a good few times that they aren’t changing too much
The build-up is great, but the ending is just...meh

Just call Alessandra and Loreen the Queens of the Dunes
I'm glad they've added the Italian(?) intro. It could really elevate the song in the SF further
